Ok ok just finished eating. Man am I stuffed. First off, it's a huge restaurant located across the street from Uniqlo at Ontario Mills. They have 8 options for your base, and I chose to play it safe and went with the Kombu original. Wasn't expecting much because I'm used to mo-mos paradise, but it was pretty flavorful after adding my veggies. As you can see there's a handful of meat options, overall the meat quality is a 3/5. Although there's plenty of sauces to choose from, I didn't like any of them except for the ponzu. There's also many noodle options that you can add to your soup. I don't want to sound bougie but they also did not have a fat/oil skimmer. Boo. I gave it 4 stars but it's more like a 3.5. I will definitely come again because it's close to home and the food is decent. So if you're in the mood for hot pot maybe after sound heavy duty shopping lol, come give this place a try. First off it's a place in the IE so I don't have as high expectations going. Saying that though, I was super impressed with the selection this place had. You have meats (which you order) and a whole array of veggies to choose from. I got the spicy miso which was a good soup base, with a good amount of flavor. There are also a ton of sauces to choose from which you can mix together to create you own dipping sauce. I'm totally going to come back here and bring more friends to try to place out. read more

The best review I can give is commenting on the great service. I saw an elder making her way to the restroom. A busboy saw and offered to help. I have been here four times and Loved it each time I have had this style of dining in the past but not to this scale of possibilities. It is a very clean and impressive buffet and each table has its own temperature settings to boil your broth and ingredients. If you have never tried this before, you should, now. . The past two times I opted for vegetarian, as I am honestly unimpressed with the meat presented other than the ribeye. There are more than enough non-meat items to create a perfect dish for yourself. The green spinach noodles are the best thing on the buffet line, and there are plenty of veggies. Sapporo on draft by the pitcher only adds to the mix. We used to go there before pandemic. And last week was our first time after pandemic, the food quality still the same, good for a AYCE shabu, meat is good.. the buffet bar still packed with all the fresh things I like, and they provide gloves and hand sanitizer. The restaurant is big, so plenty of social distancing between tables. Service is good, they are always checking on you if you need to add more to the order or need to clear up space in the table. This place is great! Our server Madison was so sweet and attentive; but they all work as a team so even when she wasn't around, there was always someone available. I noticed a lot of reviews mention the broths being bland. Traditional broths, and most shabu shabu restaurants do not over season broths. The point of shabu shabu is to allow the customer to customize their broths to their exact tastes. Too bland? Add soy sauce, garlic and onions, all available at the salad/seafood bar. Not spicy enough? Chinese chili sauce is also available (although make sure to taste your broth beforehand, the spicy ones, are very spicy). There are unlimited ways to flavor your delicious soup, and the best part, you control everything. I'm so excited to finally have a shabu shabu restaurant in Rancho Cucamomga. My husband and I had dinner here tonight. It was our first visit, and I can assure you we will be back many more times. It was Saturday night and although we arrived early in the evening and had no wait, the staff did a great job of keeping up with new customers as the night went on. Since we didn't know what we were doing and how to make our selections and cook our food, we were so fortunate to have Madison as our table server and Ira as another server who we were lucky to find near the buffet line and who was happy to answer questions and to make suggestions. Not knowing the soup/broth options, Madison brought us small tastes of three different ones we wanted to try, assuring that our whole meal was not cooked in a broth we didn't like. She then taught us how to use the cook top and made suggestions on cooking times. The food was very fresh and outstanding! As we emptied several dishes and plates, a very pleasant Antonio would quickly come and clear the clutter for us. What an awesome team we had! Kudos to the management staff for providing a top notch dining experience in a very clean, well-organized, and well-stocked restaurant, and with high quality food. Overall not too bad. They have a decent variety at the salad bar but their biggest problem is the broth. Their broth lacked richness and flavor. Our party ordered different broth bases but they all tasted a bit watered down. Luckily they had a good sauce bar to help compensate for it. Seafood section was not as fresh as it could be but decent. For almost $40 a person I'm not sure I would return. It might be worth it for $30 if you came on a weekday during the lunch hours. Yelp advertises this place as "hot and new" so I was excited to try a new restaurant that's local and that I could add under my list of go to places. Well, even though it's new, it's no secret. The restaurant is large and I came during the week, around 12. When I was leaving the restaurant around 1ish, it was filling up with people with large parties so I can only imagine how busy it gets at night and during the weekends. Now for the food. It's all you can eat therefore like all "all you can eat" places, the quality of meat is sacrificed...just a little. But that wouldn't stop me from becoming a regular due to the endless vegetable options in their salad bar. Yes, if you are vegan or vegetarian I highly recommend this place! It's a little pricey, around $18 for lunch and (as expected) you can't take home any of your leftovers. Which was kinda a bummer because I really loved my broth (Tom yum). If you love lemongrass, citris and spices then I highly recommend. If your running low on broth, the waitress walks around eagerly looking to refill your pot. The sauce bar is pretty legit. Lots of options from soy sauce, hot sauce, ponzu, and chilli sauce...etc. They offered seafood but I can't attest to it since I didn't try any. The desserts are weak but who cares. They don't have their liquor license yet, which will probably change in the next two weeks. I prefer that they sell no liquor as people who drink will dine longer and thus make waits longer.uggghhhh...But I'm going off on a tangent now. A Two Part Review First time here and we learned that this place has been open for only a month. The word "World" in its name "Boiling World" sure does describe it when you walk in. This place is huge! The tables were not cramped together. The decor feels modern. They take reservations and with 8 of us picking this place last minute, we were delighted to have this option. We gathered for a ladies' birthday dinner on a Friday evening and were pleasantly surprised by EVERYTHING. The staff was friendly...smiles were everywhere. A young eager hostess greeted and helped us to our table. Our table featured individual (8 inch?) pots for each diner with individual heat controls that were on the table TOPs rather than below. Having individual pots was a relief for a couple of us who were under the weather and didn't want the hassle of self-segregating if there's a communal pot. (We did observe that the booth tables along the walls were not individual pots. They were more like one big pot with a middle divider. I suppose that can work too if it's one section per person.) Each station had a bowl, soup spoon, chopsticks, and napkin.The pot situation was perfect. Our server gave us a quick run down...the dinner price is $28.99 for ayce dinner ($17.99 ayce lunch), we gave her our drink and broth flavor orders, we go get our sauce, veggies, and seafood while they fill our pots with broth then server brings a variety of appetizers and meats. No alcohol options yet...no liquor license yet?? Well, I got the Chinese herbal broth. I needed to see how authentic the flavors were. others got tonkatsu, miso, and there was even a pho broth. The process seemed simple enough so off we went to the buffet to load up. We each grabbed a sauce bowl and a plate. The variety of sauces was impressive. They had fresh jalapenos and kimchi too! I had a mix of scallions, cilantro, Asian chili, chili oil, ponzu, garlic,...not sure what else but the mixture turned out yummy. BUT I suggest getting the veggies and seafood before loading up on the sauces to avoid any clumsiness. The seafood section had shrimp, squid, octopus, blue crab, swai fish, imitation crab sticks,...I'm sure there's more. The "balls" sections were loaded with fish balls, squid balls, lobster balls, crab balls, crab sticks, even SPAM chunks! The tofu section had regular tofu, fried tofu, and even tofu SHEETS! My fave. They had shiitake mushrooms, enoki, king mushrooms, even fresh woodear! Then off to the greens...cilantro, bok choy, napa cabbage, spinach, and this leafy lettuce tasting greens that I've only seen my mom prepare for a HOME hotpot. And taro...gotta add taro to the broth for creaminess. I also need to add that the veggies looked well cleaned. We all know how much sand gets into spinach and th other greens so it was reassuring to see how fresh the veggies were and so CLEAN. Oh, I forgot the noodle section. There were so many: udon, dried ramen, spinach ramen, glass noodles, this black color noodles, regular ramen noodles, and 2 varieties of rice cake ovals. Then a couple of fruit options that I was pretty sure I wasn't going to partake in. Orange slices and something else... With our piled up plates back at the table, we added our each item into the already boiling broths. My Chinese herbal broth really looked like the stuff I grew up with when there were dried dates and goji berries floating on top. I hesitated and had to taste the broth but it was...delicious...and relief washes over me. I hoped for it to be something like szechuan flavor but this was just as good. I added the Asian Chili sauce to it and it tasted great. We had a great time loading our individual pots and enjoying the company. Our server brought out the appetizers which were not hot like I like them to be but were still delicious. Another server took pictures for us when we asked him to. He was all smiles and did it enthusiastically-what a trooper! The servers brought out a variety of thinly sliced meats on these stackable trays. The stackable meat tray idea was ingenious since we were afraid there wouldn't be enough real estate on the table for so many. The thin slices of meat cooked quickly in the hot broth. Kudos for having machines that heat up the broths so quickly because a hotpot meal needs to be HOT. The meats kept coming as long as we wanted them to and served by friendly servers who made us feel welcome to try everything! She filled up our broths with the correct flavor when they ran low and kept our hot and cold water cups full. She was AMAZING. We ended the meal with a cake that the staff was nice enough to keep chilled in their refrigerator. The buffet section has a bunch of options- even curry- and was kept clean. They give a free mini cup of ice cream at the end and you can choose from many different flavors! Lupita is an excellent server and has helped us on two occasions. Many of the other help staff are not friendly, but she made up for them. The food is really good too and my wife and I enjoyed the lunch buffet. You get three rounds and three servings of meat for each round, which is excellent. Love this place! My parents are obsessed. I recommend the tonkatsu or the spicy miso broth. This place is all you can eat but you still have to put in orders for the meat. For vegetables, noodles, and seafood you can just go up to the buffet bar and grab it yourself. The meat is thinly sliced and the rib eye is so so good. Only con is that they give such little meat at a time so you have to keep ordering more. My dad ate so much crab and shrimp and probably ate much more than $29 worth he paid for himself. The reason why I am giving 1 star to the restaurant is only because the extreme horrible service provided by the waiter. If you follow what the waiter say, you would probably ended up with not be able to enjoy the shabu shabu at least 20 minutes after your arrival. Please remember ALL the food at the salad bar needs to be cooked. I personally prefer not to return to this restaurant ever again. Other than that, I have to say, the quality of the food is absolutely premium. Definitely worth of the price, either Lunch or Dinner. We were greeted by a very nice hostess and our server "Jill" from Taiwan was very nice and friendly. Services was excellent for a self serving "all you can eat" individual hot pot place. I found this place has variety of seafoods, crabs, large shrimp and many types of fish balls. Also included in the price is unlimited rib bye, many types of beef, pork and chicken. This place has a lot of quantity but not a lot of quality. This was at lunch though, so idk about dinner. However the serving staff is inconsistent and messy. It was our first time here so we had a lot questions as to how everything works and which soup is most popular but our serve wasn't very helpful and a tad bit condescending. He didn't really check up on us throughout our meal to see if we needed a refill or how everything was tasting.The food runner was very rude, when thanking him instead of saying you're welcome this dude said "yeah okay" and walked away. Wtf?? Yeah ok? Really? There was a shift change during my dinning experience and the dinner staff was horrible. Everyone just gathered up in the front talking. No one checking on tables, after requesting for the check we waited about 10 minutes for them to grab it and run it, then the girl who brought it back didn't give me a pen. So I had to wait and flagged down one of the girls talking and she then gave me a pen. Overall they wasted 20-30 minutes of my life. i ate dinner here on a saturday night with my family and the restaurant looked very busy! we had a party of 4 and arrived around 7pm. at first, the host let us know that the wait would be around 45 minutes, however we were seated in 15 minutes. at this time though, there was a confusion and some parties that arrived after us (with the same party number), actually got seated before us. we let the other hostess know, and were seated as soon as the next table opened up. this is an AYCE hot pot place with self-serve veggies and seafood. they limit you to 2 plates of meat per person, with each plate having approximately 3-4 pieces of meat. the options for veggies and seafood is great! you dont see many AYCE hot pot places with an unlimited crab & crawfish option! they also have self serve rice & japanese curry. the dessert section however.... could use some more dessert. there were also some macaron ice cream sandwiches in the front (by the host stand), but i was unsure if that was self serve or if we had to pay for it per sandwich. i think it's great how this location does not place a time limit on your meal -- but, i feel like this can make the wait time inaccurate and can cause everyone to wait longer. overall, i would come back because there are plenty of options and is an average price for an AYCE hot pot place! i like this establishment more than shabuya (another AYCE hot pot/shabu place). read more

Bad attitude. They give you paper thin slices of meat 3 tops per a plate. The waiters have no manners. They speak to you as if you owe them money. The food is not the best. The meat are tough. The women working at the bar is pmsing through out her shift. The guy who cleans the table is very lost in his own world. The food take 30min to arrive to the table. They don't replenish the buffet bar unless you hunt one of the guys down. i don't recommend this place to anyone.
