We visited this restaurant on 6-16-26. It took 15 minutes to get 2 breakfast biscuits. One of the employees said, "Why do these people order breakfast biscuits, don't they know it's lunch time?" When I bit into my biscuit there was 1.2 inch piece of steel wool in my biscuit. After 2 posted complaints on the website for Bojangles, no response. Calls to the company are not returned. We were traveling and stopped by this Bojangles for biscuits. My wife's sausage biscuit had steel wool in it. We kept traveling and replaced the sandwiches at a Chic Fila. We have called and emailed trying to get it refunded, or something. They literally refuse to contact us in any way. I am looking at the other reviews. REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE!!! I went to pick up me and my friends breakfast before work, ordered and then proceeded to pick up my purse to get my card out, i went up to the window and she just yelled the total at me, i told her that i needed a quick second to get my card out and she slammed the window shut on me. Then she came back a minute later, I handed her my card through a crack in the window she didn't even re open it, then she handed me my food and I got my card back and left. Do not order curbside. Employees never came out to give order. I had to walk inside which is fine, but what pissed me off is that the employees were inside just standing around. I then asked for my order and they could not find it until I told them which car I I was driving. Then the order was wrong and I had to wait for them to fix it. Then I asked for my BBQ sauce that was paid for and the employee said it was in the bag already which it wasn't. Then she proceeded to check my bag to be sure I wasn't lying and guess what?? I have stopped at this Bojangles for the last two Sundays at about 11:30 am. The line was about 7 cars long when I pulled in, but 2 left because the line did not move for 10 minutes. Last Sunday I was there 45 minutes from start to finish. I got no napkins, no eating utensils. I had ordered slaw with my meal, but was told they had no slaw, so got fries. Today I was again in a long line at 11:35 and finally got my order at 12:20. Again I ordered slaw, but at the pick-up window was told no slaw was available. I was brought here on a recent family visit. My fam had just moved to Charlotte and have become enamored w/this place and told use we had to "have a taste of the South". If the South tastes like overcooked day old fried chicken, then I will continue to partake in consuming fare that was influenced above the Mason-Dixie line. So yeah...the chicken tender meal I got was not great. The chicken was dry, the breading was pretty awful and had no flavor (maybe I should have gotten the "spicy" option?) and the biscuit was hard and dry (I think their biscuits moonlight as hockey pucks). The mac n cheese was on par w/KFC, so not terrible, but not amazing. The only thing this place managed to get right was the sweet tea, but if they could not get sweet tea right this far south, then their "Southerner" badge would have officially been revoked. I had expressed my meal dismay to my family and they agreed it was "an off day". I advised them I did not want to put in the gastronomical research to prove them right or wrong and considered my visit here a "one and done" tourist from Texas experience. read more

Me and my boyfriend pulled into the drive through to place our order and sat for just a second before the lady came on over the speaker, I had to tell him my order piece by piece to make sure everything was right(supremes pause, max and cheese pause, large tea pause, honey mustard) and after he had said my order the lady taking our order hadn't even finished asking us if we wanted anything else before rudely telling us our total even after we had said hang on. She was probably the rudest fast food worker I've ever experienced, the whole ordeal took about 45 seconds so there definitely wasn't enough time to place both of our orders. So if I could give zero stars I would. One day I ordered a breakfast combo online. I went over to the restaurant to grab my order. When I arrived I was immediately met with hostility from an African American woman working the counter. She told me that she didn't see any online order in the system. I showed her my receipt indicating that I did in fact pay for an order at that location. She would not even consider the fact that something went wrong on their end. I feel as though a normal or decent worker would handle the situation professionally and find a compromise. This woman was a bully and she humiliated me in front of everyone in the building. I ended up calling her supervisor although I know not much was done. I've heard from many people about this women at this location and how rude she is. Let me preface this review with the fact that I grew up in Northern Virginia so technically I would be a "Yankee" We did not have the pleasure of Bojangles up where I grew up, but I think it's slowly starting to make its way into VA. Popeye's was my absolute favorite (and still is in some respects) but livin' in the south, I gotta give props to Boj's. Unfortunately I've put myself on a diet, but I really really do enjoy Bojangles when I do get it - when people from out of town come in. It's a great excuse to get some good chicken, biscuits, and sides. This location is off Independence Blvd. Unfortunately you can't get to it easily when you are traveling East - just make a U-turn and you are good, but getting back out (if you want to continue East) can be a little tricky. So hard that when I tried to break one in half it broke into five big pieces. The dirty rice was really dry. The biscuits were hard and the tea tasted really old. I get to work early so I love to grab Bojangles off E. Independence in Matthews, NC. There are two different men that work different days. I love it when they work because they are actually open and they have season fries. When ever the women work, THEY ARE NEVER OPEN even though the sign says opens at 5:00am and I am there at 5:45???? I go to the window and they literally tell me "we are not open" To the guys who work there, LOVE YA! To the women that work there, please open the restaurant when it is supposed to be open. Drove a mile up the road to Chick Fill A, which is not terrific but at least is not crap.
