For our sampler we choose the Collard Green (Alkaline) and Pasta. OMG the Collard Green Salad is delicious! We went back the next day and had the Kale and Caesar Salad, a piece of delicious Carrot Cake and Rose Lassi. And the next day a small Kale/Caesar and with a Tribeca Turkey Salad..you will be able to tell by the photo that you get a lot for the money. In the photo it shows 1/2 of what was previously eaten because you get so much filling food that you can save that much as shown in the photo. They have a a cute selection of spices used to prepare the food ready to buy off the shelf! Many organic items too! 2. The couple working are so very sweet! I'm not a hard-lined vegan so if you are, take my review with a grain of salt. I am health conscious though so thank God for this place. I don't live in GA. I come into town to visit my MIL and the options for quality healthy food are slim to none out here. That's why I am so glad my husband and I found this place. I have only had their sandwiches (the tomato, basil one to be exact) and their caesar salad and their coleslaw. I believe they make their own dressings for the salads and they are very tasty. I don't typically like coleslaw but they make theirs with a vinaigrette instead of cream sauce and it gives it a nice light flavor (it's definitely flavorful though). The owners are super nice and are always ready to help new customers with any questions they have about items on the menu. The only reason I give it 4 and not 5 stars is the last two times I've been there, I've ordered coleslaw and actually not gotten it. On the bright side, I'm fairly sure they didn't charge me for it either. I think they just forgot about it and, to be fair, so did I. I only seem to remember DAYS later when I think about going there again and realize, "hey...I didn't get my coleslaw last time." Lol. read more

I came here because I was on a lunch break for jury duty & this seemed to be the perfect place to grab a bite to eat. To the right of the market they have alkaline water, organic grains, herbs and soaps and body scrubs ,etc. The market was clean, good serene music with a great atmosphere. When you hear sweet Carribean soul music while clean leafy scents tell your nose "cozy vegetarian," and see bright orange mango lassis lined up in a stainless steel mini-fridge, does it make sense to order a roast beef sandwich? No. But you should still do so. It's a damn good roast beef sandwich with melted provologne. It's real and fresh, but also satisfying. Between a toasty fresh roll and piles of beef and tomatoes and goodness, the "top roast beef" leaves no space unsandwiched as it splays across a standard large take-out box. This place is inexplicable, combining "upscale vegetarian" atmosphere with decidedly non-vegetarian offerings, and cultural elements that hopscotch various continents. But it all works. In fact, it works so well that I didn't ask how they ended up selling bags of jaggery and really good roast beef and Indian soda pop. I did ask where the name "BoJayne's" comes from. My wife and I love this place. Eating here is an experience. Part deli, part culinary grocery, BoJaynes is very unique in this area and is like stepping into someone's personal dining room. My wife and I each get a sandwich; she, the turkey sub and me, the Ruff Rider sub. We enjoy them a lot and they are obviously made of high quality ingredients. Service is excellent and very personalized. On one visit they were out of Diet Coke and Bo, one of the owners, went to the grocery store and bought some while we were there! Who does that? I was wowed by this place, food, staff, and did I say food!?!? BoJaynes is a definite hit! Me and my wife went for brunch/lunch and fell in love with it. The first thing we tried was the collard green salad and the flavors popped in our mouths. That made me order the Power Salad! Lovely mixture of romaine lettuce, chick peas, black beans, and all the different salads they had to include the collard green salad I had just tasted with a Hansen soda to wash it down. My wife saw a delicious KBT (kale, bacon, and tomato) sandwich on pita that she had have. The bacon was made of turkey, this place doesn't not serve pork. We tried the awesome chicken salad and ended up purchasing some on the side. After eating the food, I couldn't help myself and went back for more goodies; slice of carrot cake and baklava. It was the perfect consistency and taste. Nothing overpowering about the ingredients, they all meshed well with one another. I also ordered a cup of tomato basil soup. I am not a fan of tomatoes but I will be ordering it whenever it's available from this place! I don't have any complaints, from start to finish our visit was EXCELLENT! Unfortunately I didn't eat here. Therefore this is not a review of their food. I've never eaten at this restaurant before but I've heard many friend speak highly of their food. The first time I came to this little bistro was several months back. Bu I arrived right when they were closing, so I missed out. That's on me! I went in today at lunchtime and was reall wanting to have soup. I asked if they had a soup and sandwich combo and they said, "yes." But then she immediately turned back around and said, "we are out of soup." She apologized. However, she did not say, "hang on let me make some more." I found this to be very odd because they close at 7 PM. This was lunchtime. Apparently they either had no ingredients left to make soup anymore for that day or they were just unwilling to make more at that time. I didn't bother to ask. Hopefully one day I'll be able to eat at this place and change my review. Sad. read more

Driving east from the town center of McDonough, BoJaynes is in a small plaza on the right that is after Wendy's but before Dairy Queen. Most of the "supermarket" items for sale are dried goods and spices of varying origin. Seating is dispersed throughout the market's space - mostly small tables, but a larger group with 8 people can sit in front of the ordering counter. You will receive a number and pick up your order at the counter when your number is called. On the Menu: BoJaynes has a very traditional deli menu - soup, salads, and sandwiches. The most prominently displayed meat options for the sandwiches are the chicken salads. On the day I went, I could choose from a traditional chicken salad, a Waldorf chicken salad (with celery and raisins), and a curried chicken salad. Also on the menu for sandwiches are variations with grilled chicken, roast beef, and turkey. A more unique BoJaynes option is a "platter", which are trays in which you can mix the chicken salads with vegetarian salads. Examples of vegetarian salads include pasta salad, chickpea salad, and collard green salad. On the day I went, desserts included crumb cake, donuts, and chocolate cake. What I Tried: Sample Platter ($8.99) - My sample platter consisted of a scoop of curried chicken salad and 4 vegetarian sides. I chose the collard greens salad, the garbanzo and black bean salad, roasted sweet potatoes, and Greek pasta salad. While the curried chicken salad was a little thick, the curry flavor itself was excellent and the chicken itself was tender. I sampled the Waldorf salad and think it was a bit lighter. My favorite of the sides was the roasted sweet potatoes - firm skin, while soft on the inside. The garbanzo and black bean salad was solid - not too salty and a decent balance of garbanzo and black beans. The Greek pasta salad was good, although I'd wish that they would substitute the black olives with the more flavorful Kalamata olives that are sold on the grocery shelves. My least favorite side also has the most potential, in my opinion. The collard green salad had a tasty mixture of crisp and fresh greens with a nice hint of sourness. I did, however, think that the collard greens were oversalted. If less salt was added, I'd rank the collard greens as the top veggie salad. Overall portion size for the price was excellent. Donut ($0.80) - The meal was a little too healthy, so I threw in a donut for good measure. Also, I wanted to see how the desserts are here. It's a miniature donut, but the red velvet cake flavor is good. Texture is a little mushy so it's not my favorite donut, but I wasn't disappointed. Verdict: In the midst of burger joints and a fried seafood restaurant, BoJaynes is probably one of the healthiest dining options on the block. The chicken salads are good and the side salads are decent. I didn't try a sandwich, but my friend's sandwich was very large. The ability to purchase international grocery items and spices after your meal is an added bonus. read more
