I make a point to stop at this Bolay every time I'm in town. Always good food, and quick and friendly service!

Dropped into Bolay after running a few errands in the neighborhood. I arrived about 20 minutes after it opened and was able to place my order immediately. My bowl consisted of barbeque chicken, jasmine rice, herb roasted zucchini, roasted corn, parmesan cheese, and creamy garlic sauce. Everything was hot and seemed very fresh. After I finished my lunch, I ordered a few chocolate chip cookies to take home. They are smaller than I remember in the past and didn't taste the same either. Overall, I enjoyed my lunch at Bolay.

    Large bowl.

The food was amazing. The staff were very nice. Josie Q was very helpful. I tried the mango habanero hot sauce and it was great. I love Bolay!!

Sadly, it's by far the worst Bolay location. So bad they actually turned off the ability for people to leave reviews on google! Stopped coming a little over a year ago after several bad experiences with incorrect orders and unprofessional staff. Well, I decided to come out and give them another shot. Ordered one bowl for takeout which had a 6:40 pick up time. Arrived at 6:45, food not ready. Ok, no big deal. Stood here waiting for 10 minutes for a single bowl with literally no one in line. No management in sight. I didn't make a big deal about it but it is WILD to me how poorly run this location is compared to others.

This is some tasty vittles right here.

Ordered delivery via Uber Eats and so glad I did. Did a custom bowl with black rice, kale, herb chicken, herb sauce, broccoli, tomatoes and roasted corn. Added some avocado which was actually guac but it was delicious. Really an incredible, fresh, healthy and delicious meal. Far better than expected actually. Highly recommend!

Quick and friendly service. The food tasted exactly as I expected! I also enjoyed their outdoor seating.

Many places offer specials but nothing like the Kitchen. My app favorite has been the mussels and their incredible bread. BUT, it's now been replaced by their Clams special that I had last night. The sauce pared with a light pink Cosmo and their dipping bread is "Outa this World". Frequently, I take an order of the bread home to extend the dining enjoyment. We also split their Shrimp Special that totally blew me away. I didn't realize it was served cold and that was the Shock of the evening. I can't really explain it so you'll have to look at the photos. It's really enough for 2 to split. The atmosphere is amazing. Dinning at the bar is like having front row seats at the Comedy Club as evidenced by the attached photos. I took my best friend for her upcoming 50th as this is one of her favorite local restaurants. She loves the salmon in paper so she ordered this along with a kale salad she enjoys. She was very pleased with both items. I ordered the chicken schnitzel and started with some bread and butter. Granted, I didn't realize the bread and butter isn't gratis. I would've taken the rest home with me given the fact I only consumed two small pieces. The chicken cutlet was cooked to perfection and the presentation was beautiful. The chicken topped with an egg, a few mushrooms, some pickled onions, and fresh greens. Unfortunately, the dish was extremely bland. I would've enjoyed it a heck of a lot more had there have been seasoning added to the breading. After dinner, Morgan and her team surprised my friend with a slice of chocolate pie and sang her "Happy Birthday." Finally, we enjoyed some mint tea as a finale to our meal. All in all, our dinner was a positive experience.

Of course we Couldn't finish our Main course, which was the cod and the burger. Then the cod under cooked. They took it back to the kitchen and just recooked my original dish. Somehow the combo just WORKS. Easily one of the best salads I've had in a while. Don't skip the brussels sprouts either, they're seriously so good. OK this place has an energy. From the sweet pretty blonde hostess to the server and the staff, it just feels like there's an energy there. I also don't usually get into food. I'm not a foodie - I'll spend a lot for a good meal, but I generally don't get too excited about many restaurants. I'm excited about this one. if you're gonna go there for 1 meal, get the MEXICAN STREET CORN and the CHICKEN AND WAFFLES. We always get the corn and our server even gave us little wet naps to clean up with (clutch). And I absolutely love their CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES - three warm large chocolate chip cookies and a glass of milk which was only maybe $10? Crazy - I've also heard happy hour is amazing but I work and can never get there. This time I got the SEAFOOD SAUTEE and it was one of the best seafood dishes I had. Looking back, I'd recommend asking to replace the potatoes with shrimp if you can. They were so good. Our server Natalia was great and said the shrimp is from Argentina.. My wife had the PORK COLLAR - I thought it was good but I didn't think it was as good as my seafood. Our daughter had the burger - really solid and she couldn't finish it. Bonus for Dad. The last thing I would say is that this place isn't gonna be for everyone because it's noisy - probably because the bartenders serve great drinks! There was one woman at the bar that was laughing incredibly loud (uggg) but the staff couldn't have done anything about that. If you want to go there and have a really quiet sort of like laid back meal or you get triggered easily or something - SIT OUTSIDE. Otherwise, you're gonna hear music, people talking, laughing, and having fun. That also makes it great for families - we had a couple of kids sitting right beside us. So this is one of our favorite restaurants now in the Palm Beach Gardens area. Highly highly highly suggest you check it out get but GET A RESERVATION - this place is busy. I hope this helps!

Flying solo, I first sat at the counter overlooking the kitchen, where I saw the cooks being exceptionally clean and careful and everything they made looked delicious. I topped it off with the raspberry key lime pie which was a huge piece that would satisfy 2-4 people! Lesson obviously not learned. Second trip l had to try the fish. As a suggestion by my wonderful server, I tried the Triple Tail which I wanted Blackened, because that's my favorite and it was served over a great salad. The fish was delicious, white and moist, but not actually Blackened. I will never learn that most every restaurant doesn't actually make real Blackened anything, but it was still pretty tasty. Again I chose dessert and again it was enough for multiple people, and I ate the whole thing. UGH! I don't suggest it. The murals are cool and well done, the menus and specials are diverse, and there's a full bar too. I will be back to try more items, but I won't be ordering dessert again unless I have reinforcements. Enjoy!

The Hungry Poet is back baby!! (I love being Yelp Elite…read more I've just been busy!) "The Salty Zebra blew me away, The Black Grouper entree made my entire day. The burger was seasoned and the patty was fat, But those home made desserts....whooo that's where it's at!" This meal/dining experience brought me to Yelp immediately. I was excited y'all! The Salty Zebra (picked it b/c of good reviews and proximity to Barnes and Noble in Tequesta) They cover the basics extremely well: greeted with kindness and professionalism, seated promptly, and approached immediately by a wonderful server. I won't spend time here just know you will not be disappointed with the service and it was beyond pleasant. Apps Burgundy Escargot (Pernod Garlic-Parsley Butter) We asked for a recommendation from the appetizer section of their menu (perfect amount of selections by the way...I despise an encyclopedic menu). We were thinking escargot and we were so pleased that it was recommended...that sealed the deal. It was garlicky and buttery and served with the perfect white bread. Spot on. Entrees were freaking fantastic! Florida Black Grouper (Creamed Kai Kai Farms Mustard Greens, Colab Farms Glazed Carrots, Carrot Marmalade) I never order grouper. I go out of my way to order it because I don't enjoy white fish usually. Something spoke to my spirit (plus our amazing server highly recommended it) and I went against my natural inclination. Lawd have mercy I'm glad I did. That grouper was perfectly seared, flaky, flavorful and completed excellently by the mustard greens and carrots. I do t know what the sauce was in the plate but it was savory a bit earthy in the best possible way with a twinge of sweetness that made me want to lick the plate ‍ (hey I'm from Mississippi...we do that ). Needless to say there wasn't a morsel of food left in my plate. Other reviews complained about small portions. I beg to differ it was a perfect portion, and I have a biiiiig appetite. (I am the hungry poet after all! I enjoy experiencing three full courses and not being miserably full by dessert.) Bistro Burger (1/2 LB CBS Blend, Gruyere, Sweet & Sour Onions, Au Poivre Sauce, Parmesan Potato Wedges) Boyfriend got the burger. It was great--I am well loved so I got the first bite lol Patty was thick and moist and seasoned! I was impressed that they didn't stay away from seasoning with this burger. We suspect it could have even been prepared sous vide then seared because of how evenly cooked it was. Our server was even kind enough to bring ketchup for the potato wedges. Dessert LET ME FIRST SAY: the second dessert (chef's special) was complementary. I don't know why? Good karma maybe? Speaking of the chef... Chef Michael was working that dining room. ‍ He walked by our table and asked if everything was okay. Not realizing he was the chef we asked for a little more bread to sop up the escargot butter. He brought the bread out a few minutes later himself and was super polite. He introduced himself and I was impressed that he was so personable. He stopped by two more times to check on our entrees and desserts. I love an involved chef. I have a couple friends who are Executive Chefs in pretty swanky places and I love to see that bar being met. Especially as a Yelp Elite reviewer. You know how most people can't wait to write reviews when they're pissed. I can't wait to write reviews when my socks are knocked off. Back to dessert... Chocolate banana I love banana desserts. Some might be biased but this dessert was oooooooh wee deliciously special. I don't have the description because I think desserts change weekly/daily etc but trust me... GET IT! If you like bananas chocolate and caramel get it! Homemade S'more When I said made in house I mean it! The marshmallow the graham cracker all of it! It was rich and decadent and it blew me away. I'll be thinking about these desserts for a while. And again I don't t know what we did to get a free one but Chef Michael brought both out himself and I felt the "we go the extra mile" vibe. It was crystal clear. Sounds like I'm using hyperbole but I swear I'm not. Decor and ambiance was beautiful. Wasn't loud at all. Hands down a perfect dinner experience. We had been walking in the hot sun all day after this impromptu trip to Stuart and even in leggings and a T-shirt we felt comfy and welcomed. Thanks another review giving it to you straight no chaser from The Hungry Poet aka Elizabeth S. aka Lizz . Enjoy!
