Looove Bolton Bean. We lucky found Bolton Bean on our annual trip to Maine last year and have gone 3 times since. The food is delicious. It's prepared exactly as it presents on the menu. My entire family loved everything! The avocado toast with the hard boiled egg is absolutely perfect. The sandwiches are a family favorite and my father enjoyed the muffins. Outside seating, clean bathrooms, adorable space, great food and great staff. Highly recommended!! Can't wait for next year. read more

This is what every coffee shop should be like - clean, spacious, good food options (healthy and non healthy), fast-WiFi, nice employees, and good coffee and tea. My only regret is not finding this place earlier so that I could have avoided a loud and mediocre experience at Panera for lunch, and could have spent more time doing work here. Food - They have 4 salads you can choose from, a soup, some sandwiches and snacks (even gluten free crackers and hummus if you're looking for a healthy snack). They also have pastries if you want something a little sweet. Beverages - They have a good selection of coffee drinks, teas, and tea lattes. I had the London Fog which was an Earl Grey with steamed milk which is one of my favorite drinks and they also have coconut, soy or almond milk for 25 cents extra. Ambiance - Not super loud which is nice so you can work, and they were playing soft rock hits from the 90s which was great background music. The tables are well spaced out and they have a big couch and chairs if you want to sit there. The bathrooms are also large and clean (I think there are 2) There's easy parking in front, and in general this is everything a coffee shop should be. Great coffee shop right off of 495 in Bolton, they have a nice variety of drinks as well as some good sandwiches too. I really enjoyed the Arnold Palmer and the caprese panini. read more

Passing through & stopped for lunch. Very large drink menu & great selection for sandwiches. I ordered the panini special (chicken cordon bleu) & iced chai latte. Both were yummy & hit the spot. The staff were friendly, patient, & attentive. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but very spacious with several seating options inside. Probably about 15 patrons from new moms to friends meeting up to folks hovered over their laptops. I'll stop by again next time I'm driving through. read more

The space: wide open, super comfortable and easy to have an open conversation without feeling like everyone can hear you. The space has a mixture of tables/chairs, and also a soft, comfy chair area. The people: friendly, engaging, meet you with a smile! The coffee: very good. I believe it is George Howell roasted. The food: very good also. Stopped on my way up to Maine. Just off the highway but tucked back into a nice wooded. Cute place with a very welcoming staff. Ordered a latte, it was delicious, and ordered a sandwich with avocado, egg and onion...exactly what I needed so I could finish my drive! Lovely place, good staff and ample seating. read more

Basically a local Panera, but better tasting! My panini and medium iced mocha came out to about $15, which is a little pricey for lunch, but definitely worth my splurge once in a while. read more

Quaint place to grab a bite - paninis were delicious! Fresh ingredients, creative combos for sandwiches and wraps with very good portions! Interior is beautiful but we opted to sit outside on the patio. Would definitely recommend as a lunch destination! read more

Stopped on our way to Portland Maine for lunch. Got a buffalo wrap and Ruben. The flavor is good but it could use a little more meat and both seemed a little sparse. I got a iced coffee and my husband got a cold brew. Each with almond milk. Coffee was pretty good cold brew a little bitter. Not sure if it's a little old or just the kind they have. read more

This is the cutest little local coffee shop with more than meets the eye. Lots of seating, cozy couches, nice and warm, and free wifi! I was actually impressed at the variety of drinks, and they offered a lot more food than I expected. I didn't realize they had a full menu! I'm actually vegan and the staff were really knowledgeable and kind when answering my questions about how I could customize items on the menu. Another cool thing is that for some drinks, the small and medium are the same price, which I think is pretty sweet. I got a soy mocha latte and it was awesome. My friend got a chai tea latte with coconut milk and that was excellent too. All in all, great vibes, will definitely be back, and next time I'm bringing my work with me! read more

My Updated Review!! From 4 to 5 stars. Yesssss!! Added photo of local delicious gluten free muffins.LEGIT. So many things. I don't live anywhere near this area however our vet is nearby so I come out here a lot in the thing I want to do while I wait for the pups to be treated is that enough coffee. We also like to go apple picking nearby so it's a favorite tradition. Needless to say I've been back to Bolton Bean a few times and I have to say I am so happy with their growth in there additions to their menu. GREAT little cafe in town. Breakfast and lunch menu items. Coffee and tea . Good amount of seating. Opened Sept 2016. After the refresh of the Salt Box. Had the bacon egg N cheese breakfast sandwich. Large fresh English muffin with freshly cooked fried egg and ample bacon and cheese to cover. Way better than one of the fast food chains. You know they make it with care , just for you. I really like this place...but it doesn't mean that there can be no improvements. It seems that the baristas there need more training. I have had a problem with most lattes I get there, and if you're going to pay $5.00 for a latte, it should be right. They are not suppose to be like "flat whites," They are suppose to have about 2 inches of small bubble foam. I was a barista a few years back and had 3 months of training, because it's what is required in my opinion. Also, the music is so loud, I can't hear myself think, let alone people that talk louder to talk over the music... so it's quite a loud cacophony at times. It's also interspersed with commercials, which is rather offensive and annoying. Please, make the lattes correct! read more

Loved it!! Except for the customers. The employees are great but expect to find people running into the cafe with their hand covering their mouth yelling about how they are "so sorry they forgot their mask at the table" and the employees don't seem empowered enough to tell those people to go back to their freaking table and grab the gd mask like a decent human being. So definitely go at your own risk but if you do, their lavender syrup is AMAZING in an oat milk latte absolutely to die for. I come here every time I'm in the area now and just try to avoid their other customers. The employees are amazing and helpful and sweet and I'm sure it's not their fault idiots are running in with no mask on because they don't have someone enforcing the mask policy at the door and they don't have anyone counting how many customers are in there at one time. read more

This is a hard review for me. I want to love this place, as I live less than a mile away. The staff are nice, always super friendly and accommodating. Especially the young guy that works on the weekend. The atmosphere is very nice. The food is a 3, good food - nothing extraordinary, but a bit over priced for the quality. The coffee, however, is where my problem lays. It is truly terrible! I love coffee, I'm a coffee drinker. I can't explain my excitement when I saw a coffee spot was opening in Bolton. However the coffee here has a terrible sour flavor. I like strong bold roasts, and the coffee is strong, but the flavor is disgusting. The kind staff guy even let me try a number of things one day when I told him this (coffee, latte, americano), and every one of them had the same awful flavor! I don't get it, but I really wish they would change their coffee. I'm amazed more people aren't commenting about this. It keeps me and my family from being a regulars, because I know if I come here for breakfast I am going to have to stop for coffee on the way home. It's also very odd they would be closed on Sundays. read more

Nice hidden little gem in Bolton. Very new and trendy and clean! Love the vibe. Looks very new, but I'm not sure when they opened. I went here the other day on the way to a mall and got a vanilla latte with coconut milk. The barista was kind enough to tell me that coconut isn't the best when it's streamed (because of the low or lack of protein?) and I assured him I wanted it. Very nicely priced at about $4 too. Nice staff, good coffee, and lovely business aesthetic. 5 easy stars!! read more
