Went to see what rating this place gets and my jaw dropped when I saw a 3 vs 4 star rating. The food is delicious, affordable and portioned sizes are shareable. We can on a Friday afternoon so service was a bit slow, but wow, the fish was FRESH. Highly recommend when you're in the mood for some authentic Portuguese food.

Poor packaging to the delicious chicken soup, the lid caved in from the restaurant stacking another soup on top of it.

I ordered take out First I feel the need to mention this restaurant does not do delivery, they do not have a website, nor can you find an actual menu anywhere online. I ordered based off of pictures on their Facebook page and yelp reviews. Second the packaging was awful! The restaurant stacked my soups and appetizer (which came in a soup container) all on top of each other. This led to my entree getting crushed and the sauce leaking all over the bottom of the bag, one of the soup containers lids disintegrated and some of the soup also spilled into my entree and into the bag. With that being said the food was really good. I ordered the regional steak which is your classic portuguese steak dish with peppers, garlic, fried egg, rice and fries. What was left of the sauce was delicious, the steak was cooked perfectly and was a very tender thick steak. Both soups were also good- kale soup and chicken soup. The shrimp Mozambique was excellent with a hint of lemon to the classic Mozambique sauce. Sadly they did not include any bread which is unheard of for a portuguese place. Every portuguese person eats bread with their soup or Mozambique. I'll have to eat in the restaurant next time because someone doesn't understand how to properly stack take out dishes but the good was delicious.

I have mixed review on this place! Let's start off with the food, was great! I started off with the Grilled little necks was amazing came served in the pan they where cooked in an had great flavor! Then I had the shrimp Mozambique it was tasty an 1 of the best! However I was not happy with the waitress an waiter! There was two! They dropped off the food an never came back to check on how it was or if we needed anything! I had to flag down the waitress to ask for another water! When the waiter came to collect empty plates he came an went so fast it was impossible to order any deserts ! Let's not forget to mention the look of misery they had!

Super friendly staff, able to accommodate guests. Came in for my girlfriend's birthday as a reservation. Each got the Hugo No.5, light refreshing exactly what we wanted for a hot summer day. Started with the focaccia, fresh fluffy some crisp and they had some olive oil to dip. Loved my duck cooked exactly how I wanted, presentation was stunning. The steak frites were delicious from the steak to the sauce to the fries, definitely the most bang for your buck. Got the churros forn dessert and since it was her birthday they actually had a little sparkler with it and took a Polaroid pic and gave it to us. Such a cute little touch and definitely a great memory. Was it a little expensive yes, but for the quality of what you get I'd do again gladly.

The crab cakes were good and I really enjoyed the cocktail. Their cocktail menu has a lot of fun options. I had the Caesar salad and added shrimp. For desert we had a scoop of the passionfruit guava sorbet and the night agent cocktail. Our sever put a sparkler in our gelato, gifted us two glasses of champagne and gave us a Polaroid picture of us. What a nice touch! A very cozy local restaurant with beautiful decor and great vibes. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming. This was the perfect close to our mini honeymoon!

I was escorted to my table and was soon greeted by my waiter Ethan who brought bread and the menus. Bread was just mini white loafs, exceptional only for its absolute freshness. So many places have done away with table bread so this was very much appreciated, but it was way too much for a single diner. The mostly Portuguese menu had much to choose from. I got the Pasteis de Bacalhau appetizer (codfish cakes). The 8 small-sized cakes had a subtly crisp golden brown exterior and a filling that was light in both texture and flavor - less salt cod than in some others would be my guess. This was served with banana peppers and black olives over a bit of lettuce. I liked them but felt a sauce of some sort would have elevated them. I used Red Hot from the table. The entree section was very heavy on the meats, particularly steaks of which there were 8, sirloin, shish ka bob, filet, and t-bone, prepared in a variety of ways. I didn't want a steak and, being in a Portuguese restaurant I wanted something more obviously Portuguese. So I went to the seafood section which was also extensive and found Swordfish Alhinho Style. I asked Ethan about it who replied confidently and correctly that it was a lemony sauce made with a lot of garlic and it is served over the fish which is grilled. Which was exactly correct. He was a great waiter in all respects. The dish was the swordfish, boiled halved potatoes, and broccoli. The fish was generously covered with the lemony garlicky gravy, the garlic in large chunks making up maybe 1/2 of the volume. There was plenty enough left over for the potatoes, which I liked for being just boiled and sliced, not mashed. The only flaw was the broccoli. I'm not sure but it tasted frozen, not fresh. That's a shame because there was a lot of it but it wasn't worth eating. So both the appetizer and entree were very good, and representative of Portuguese cuisine. Not innovative or special in any way but this isn't that kind of restaurant. It's upscale but not "fine dining". You can see that in the table settings too: the napkins are white cloth but the placemats are the paper kind with advertisements on them. But it was a nice atmosphere in spite of the Keno machine and many televisions, and the noise level was moderate. The cocktails used mostly standard brands like Bacardi and Stoli, with a few unusual liqueurs added in. I had a Portuguese Cha Frio (Iced Tea) made with Stoli Citron, Licor Beirao (a Portuguese liqueur), unsweetened tea, and lemon. I liked it and it seemed strong enough. The wine list included a few Portuguese ones by the glass. I didn't think my wine very good but I wanted to stick to the Portuguese theme as much as possible. I liked that it was brought in a carafe that still had some left over after Ethan poured my first glass. The espresso was perfect. No disagreeable sour notes, just pleasantly and slightly bitter, an aroma slightly fruity. As for desserts, I don't think they are made in house, and they aren't particularly Portuguese. My cheesecake (was it Crème Brûlée flavor?) was good, with a semi-dry texture, a layer of caramel on top, and a drizzle of something underneath. So overall I was pretty satisfied with Nuno's. 4.5 stars really. To get that 5th star from me they'd only have to improve the broccoli and add ethnic desserts made in house.

The zuppa toscana was flavorful but arrived a bit cold, which affected the texture. (Not necessarily their fault) but it paired well with the complimentary rosemary bread. It was so soft and easily the highlight of the meal, though the butter was quite salty. The chicken Milanese was cooked well, and the arugula and tomatoes were fresh, but the sweet, Italian dressing adjacent sauce didn't work for me. My fiancé ordered the pizza which was also just okay. We topped it with balsamic drizzle which elevated it. Overall, I wasn't very impressed and will likely stick to my usual spots, like Ma Raffa's, for Italian. They also forgot the silverware I requested, which wasn't a big deal but worth mentioning. All in all, I'm sure there are better things to order from here, but I wasn't wowed by anything I tried.
