Awesome place I found driving through while out on business. We were looking for something different and definitely found it with this mexican-asian fusion restaurant. I tried like 3 different items because I couldn't decide on just one. The tacos were amazing, they had a nice asian kick to them. The majority of the food was very good. I wish one of these was closer to my home, because this would be a nice variation to the regular restaurants I visit. This one is about two hours away, so I will only be back if on business out that way again. I am a Teriyaki fan. I worked at Spikes Teriyaki bowl as a teen in the 80s I pretty much invented the teri avocado cheese burger. Visited KooKoo, I have to say I was dissapointed. Service was amazing, but the food was not the greatest. Burger has decent flavor but the tery sauce is VERY watered down, I had to drench my burger to taste the sauce. My hubby ordered the chicken bowl, it was tiny I mean tiny, the chicken was dry and over cooked again sauce is very watery. Unfortunately, we won't be going back. Everytime I go to Koo Koo I have no idea what to order. Lets start off with my favorite, Koo Koo fries. Ooo myyy god! What a mix of ingredients, fries, teriyaki, siracha, thousound island dressing gwhat a great combination! Everythime I go there I order these no matter what I get.. the fusion tacos are also great. I prefer the beef tacos because the teriyaki flavor acreams when you bite into it. All in all this is a great place. Im sure next tme im there ill try something different . Best fusion tacos I've had. Their kookoo fries are soooo good & their prices even better. I found this place a couple months ago and have been there a few times since then. It's a decent size place with enough seating both inside and out. Every time my husband and I go we spend around $20 since we try different things. If you like tacos and teriyaki chiken/beef, you have to try this place. You won't be disappointed. (I always had good experiences until recently. The last couple of times I've gone, the staff wasn't very nice/professional. I've workd in customer service and no matter what your issue you have to greet the customer with a smile and be polite. We got the kookoo fries and the half beef half chicken tacos. The tacos were good but I feel like they needed some zest in it. It just needed a bit something more. The fries were huge and the kookoo sauce was ok. I feel like like all the dishes in the end ended up tasting the same since they use the same sauce for everything. The meat also could've been seasoned a bit more since the chicken and the beef tasted the same. It's kind of a small location and wasn't very nice looking but that's just an opinion. Haven't eaten anything I didn't like at this place. I like spicy and some of their food is spicy so beware and the portions are generous. KooKoo balls are delish. I like to get a big chicken beef teriyaki plate and bring leftovers to work. It makes everyone jealous because it smells so good even reheated. I haven't tried much else yet but would recommend the teriyaki. Love that they have lots of sauces. People are pretty friendly too. read more

This use to be a burger joint before drove by it hundreds of times and never bothered to stop by, but when they changed it to a teriyaki fusion type restaurant I tried it out and I was pretty amazed how good the food was from the half and half bowls to the fusion burritos and tacos, everything tastes really good. I have been driving by here after work and after 7 months i decided to stop in and try them out. First the service was top notch. They were as friendly as can be and it was really refreshing to be received that way. They chatted with us for almost 5 minutes(there was no one behind us). We ordered the beef and chicken combo.
