I too would like to give 3 1/2 stars. The food was good. We were told it was small plates and order several courses to share. We were expecting something different than what happened. We have been to several restaurants with similar "small plates" (Pig in a Fur Coat and Graft in Madison) our waitress asked us to order 2 items, which we did. She asked if we knew what we were going to order afterwards and we told her and she said they would come out one plate at a time. WELL, about 10 minutes later we have THREE of the small plates at our table!!!! The 4th arrived about 5 minutes later:( SO much for spacing our choices! The food was good, though. It was a 90+ degree day and the AC inside was pleasant and not bone chilling cold:) With that said we were NOT given any water:( Tables around us did have water though. After I did ask I was given a SMALL glass of water and mostly ice:( We had to use our small bread type plate for all four courses. I did hear another waitress ask HER table if they needed CLEAN plates. I guess our waitress thought we were as subpar as we thought of her service with us. First impressions are key for new customers... my experience was halted based on this concept. When I entered the restaurant through the outdoor walkway, the archway with plants was inviting. There were tables on each side of the patio entrance into the restaurant... many of the patrons sitting without food or drinks... and of course menus laying on the tables. This should have been my first indication to turn around. It was a Friday evening so I thought, "busy place". Once I entered the restaurant, there was a small group waiting to be seated. The hostess asked them if they had a reservation, to which they answered yes. The hostess then told them no tables were available and there were no more menus to give them. The group opted to go to the bar and get a drink to wait for their table. We moved up to the hostess, but she walked away from her podium. We waited and watched here fumble around walking back and forth talking to what seemed to be waitstaff. Another man came through the door and he was immediately acknowledged and asked how she could help him. We, on the other hand, had still not been greeted or acknowledged. This should have been my second indication to turn around and leave... but we waited. Another couple walked in and headed straight for the bar. The hostess yelled out to them in a very nasty tone, "excuse me... can I help you?" They replied with shocked looks and continued up the stairs to the area. At this point I asked the hostess if they had a table available and she said in a very annoyed tone, "yeah I was looking for one". We waited...and waited and then we left. We were never acknowledged, never greeted, never ate or drank so I can't review the food. I can tell you, first impressions are everything... and mine wouldn't bring me back unless this restaurant gets it together. Two star rating was a big stretch. read more

This place has an amazing brunch!!! We had the Creme brûlée French toast to start and it tasted like heaven must feel. Sweet velvet cream tantalized our palates. But, I forget, they actually brought us a free toasted blueberry bagel appetizer with blueberry cream cheese while we waited. It was delish. We both had eggs for our mains. One of us had the omelette which had cheddar, bacon and mushrooms. The other had out of this world eggs Benedict. I'm from California and if this place existed there there'd be a line out the door. Had breakfast here on Sunday. Fantastic! My wife had the Creme brûlée French toast which she said was the best she ever had. I ordered the Corned beef and hash. Excellent! I've been there once before this year. My first impression both times was a less-than-friendly hostess and a seemingly unhappy waitress. I felt like an inconvenience. The tone was about their staffing when I called to change our reservation time and when we enquired about separate checks. The place was far from busy when we arrived. We were told by our waitress that the kitchen could not guarantee our individual food would come to the table at the same time if we had separate checks. What?? I got the impression that Bo Mallies was resting on a previously established laurel of sorts that had become obsolete- unbeknownst to them. The cocktails are pricey and icy. The wine was okay and the portion was generous. The Guinness cake was delicious. The decor is interesting. The outdoor seating is nice. I'd prefer one of Stefano's local eateries for consistency, attitude, and quality. read more

Being relatively new to Sheboygan we were still searching for a place that we could consistantly go to for great food. Well we found it here, the service was great and the bagel bits while we waited were a great touch. The food came out promptly and I'll say it's one of the best eggs benedict's that I've ever had. Highly suggest the crab cake ones because the homemade crab cake was amazing! As said in other reviews, this is definitely a hidden gem of Sheboygan. read more

Good food. Portions aren't huge but taste good. The atmosphere is unique and intimate. Staff is super nice and accommodating.

We stopped here on a whim (tho I had wanted to try the restaurant, having been a fan of the food truck) on a Sunday morning for breakfast. It was full up but we ate at the tiny bar with no wait. Hubby had the Blueberry pancakes with a lemon mousse (may have involved some marscapone?). He says they were "next level pancakes" - they were yummy. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. Very good. The staff was extremely friendly. We look forward to going back when it's warmer to enjoy the patio. read more

Wow let me start by saying the food was phenomenal, love the shared plates concept. Unlike other shared plates, these actually had a sufficient portion to share with a group of five! Our server was wonderful, checking on us just when we needed. The only reason for the 4 star rating is we had a 715 reservation and didnt get seated until almost 745. Beware, they are busy! But worth the wait, especially for the funnel cake dessert fries. read more

This place is fantastic. Nice ambience, great service, and extremely delicious food and drinks. We have added this to our favorites and plan to stop every time we travel to Green Bay from IL. DEFINITELY get the truffle fries. We enjoyed the WI Cheddar Salad with buttermilk chicken and put the finishing touches on this delightful meal with a slice of the Irish Car Bomb cake (Guinness cake soaked with Baileys and topped with Jameson whipped cream). Once in a great while you encounter an experience that is just what you needed to make a tough day better, to get you to forget all about the traffic, the white knuckles and the hours left to go. Well this is the place. And based on the previous reviews, we must have been the only ones not in the know. We were driving north to Door County from Chicago and had more than an hour delay in Milwaukee traffic. Based on fellow reviewers we made the leap off the expressway and in less than 3 miles we found this hidden gem. Eclectic, bohemian and just plain off the chart place with Warhol like art mixed with Rockwell. The therapy began with a Southern Sipper with Bulleit and thyme(must have been out of rosemary) Orange, Honey. Great ride. Mine was Bo's fashion. His own take on an old fashion with his own cinnamon bitters. Had it "pressed" with muddled fruit and one of everything for a garnish. Blood pressure dropped twenty points. We then went on to two of the specials, halibut with crispy discs of potatoes and some special sauce that only they know what was in it! Followed that with butternut risotto and sweet spicy italian sausage. Wow. Of courthe follow up was a braised short rib crepe and you guessed it covered in brie. By then I needed coffee since we still had 100 miles to go. Might have to stop on the way back just to find out which of the twenty desserts we missed. Totally enjoyed all 5 small plates we had. The Truffle Mac was very rich and flavorful. Pot Stickers were tasty and presented with a great slaw. Korean Steak Tacos excellent. The steak roll was done to perfection and quite delicious. Jack Daniels shrimp was also excellent. For dessert we had all three choices on the menu. Tres Leche cake was super moist and delicious. Tiramisu was excellent and the Irish car bomb cake was worthy of being the house specialty. Service was top notch. Bo Mallie's should be in the top 5 choices in Sheboygan if not top one! read more

Cleverly hidden, this eclectic restaurant serves up some of the best food you can experience in Sheboygan. Our latest foodgasm was a brunch, beginning with an exceptional bloody Mary and a cranberry, elderberry cocktail. The main course was a delicious short rib eggs Benedict, and a chorizo, potato dish with eggs and Mazatlan cheese- delicious! Me and my "warm weather" cousins discovered this gem tonight after a frustrating day. The owners are amazing, the food exceptional! We had 5 dishes to share plus two desserts. The tres leches cake was incredible, pot stickers great, and the Jack Daniels shrimp delicious. Even more, one of the party left his man purse at the restaurant. Well, the owners drove to our Airbnb to deliver it to us. This is beyond expectations. I highly recommend this place!!! read more

All I can say is WOW! We were on our way up north and needed a place to stop and eat. Happened to find this place out of pure luck. Let me tell you that was some really good luck. This place is a hidden gem well worth finding. To start the drink menu has plenty of choices to satisfy. Ordered drinks and started trying to decide what to eat. Drinks arrived in a flash and our wonderful waitress Holly gave us the specials which only made the process harder, but she gave plenty of suggestions and help. We picked the Asian salad to start with. Delicious with just enough spice from the sweet chili vinaigrette. From there we had the Grilled broccoli Mac and cheese per Holly's suggestion. Let's just say she led us in the right direction. Then we had one of the special for the night. Stuffed chicken roulade w/ Parmesan peppercorn sauce. Pan seared to perfection and the sauce was my favorite of the night. Rounded out dinner with mushroom pizza. This was my girlfriends favorite. Super thin delicate crust that held up well to the abundance of toppings. Couldn't leave without having dessert. Macaroons was the choice. They come in a bowl of homemade whipped cream. I couldn't decide what I liked better, the macaroons or the whipped cream. This meal was amazing and needed no seasoning added at the table. We went for my husband's birthday. We wound up being the last there, and watched various staff carry out the trash through the patio (where we were sitting). The patio had a nice ambiance with decorative plants. The wait server was engaging, helpful, and checked on us frequently. She made several suggestions, one which was the fresh blueberry/basil drink. It was almost the highlight of the meal! We enjoyed it, even asking for the receipt, which she shared. We ordered the Asian salad, which was delicious and two plates; both specialities-one the steak and the other chicken. The steak dish was $23.00 and served the way requested. The serving was small for the charge. The second dish was the chicken skewered.It came too soon and was only mildly warm, and dry. It was $14.00, and not worth it. Since we were about the only ones there, the wait server ought to have checked with us, about the timing for the second dish. Perhaps the kitchen was eager to get out on time, and so rushed the meal for their purposes. Who knows. One other issues for me, picking this place, was that I had hoped since many restaurant in town do provide a "birthday treat" that since I had informed the hostess and wait server that it was my husband's birthday, that there might have been a "little treat" at the end of the meal. There was not, however there were warm birthday greetings provided. So due to the expense of some of the plates, and serving size, the timing of the serving of the second dish we give it an "OK". The diverse and creative dishes make it an interesting place to dine. I would go back, maybe for breakfast or lunch. read more
