First off I love some of the beers made by bomber brewing. Do I enjoy this particular brewery? No. It's not as nice as others but it's casual and they havestreet outdoor seating, which I would nab because it's better than indoors. There was a taco truck outside that you can order from but we were already ull from another brewery. I doubt I'll come back in the fall and winter but wouldn't mind coming back next spring or summer . The service was good. They have a menu on the wall and you pick your beer(s). You then pay and find some seating. If you haven't been, give it a go. read more

Two long benches inside and some seats at the bar and a few patio table seats outside on the boulevard. B got the Absolute Horizon. I had a few sip of his beer. It was ok. I am not a beer expert. So I wouldn't know what is a good beer. He said the beer was good and he liked it. The beer is cheap as well. This is definitely a great place to hang out with friends. read more

Looks like they've rebranded both inside and out. The current incarnation is completely unrecognizable from before. The new venue is much brighter and modern looking. Looks like they've also changed a large portion of their beer selection. I only recognized maybe 2 beers on the new list. Looks like they're also trying to appeal to sports fans and happy hour with their special pricing. Will be back to try some more brews. read more

Bomber Brewery has been on my list to try for awhile. Finally made it out! It's located close to Off The Rail Brewery. We dropped in on a Thursday afternoon (around 4:15pm) and just beat the rush. The inside is cozy with room to fit about 25 people (7 stools at the bar, another 5 along the wall and a dozen at the tables). There's also a small selection of standard board games to play. Happy hour (3:00pm to 6:00pm) gets you $1.00 off their 16oz sleeves. Only available on 5 flavours though. They had a small selection of food: pickled egg, pickles, signature chips, pretzel twists, cacciotorini and paninis. For beers, there was 11 options on tap. They actually ran out of their blood orange juicy IPA while we were there and took it off the board. Selection of merchandise was small but interesting. Never seen pucks ($5.00) before! The t-shirts were fun ($20.00). - Flight ($7.00 for 4) - we tried the parklife passionfruit ale (#6), prairie baard golden ale (#3), marzen amber lager (#8) and blood orange juicy IPA (#11). Winner hands down was the passionfruit ale; super refreshing and good passionfruit tones. Baard golden ale was a little bitter; wasn't our favourite but you would if you like IPA's. Amber lager had a coffee end note to it. We wanted more bold, blood orange flavour from the juicy IPA. Too subtle for us. - Parklife ($10.50 for 6) - really good so we grabbed the last six pack for home. Clearly, it's a favourite as it was the only flavour sold out! I hadn't been to Bomber for a few months, so I was surprised I walked in to a renovated space and a new branding for their beer. It's still bomber but with a new look. The beer was great. I especially like their passion fruit ipa, it's a very interesting blend that's not too fruity. Their regular passion fruit ale is also good, but I prefer that one in summer. I also had a chance to try their imperial stout, which is super strong and meant to be slowly sipped. Georgie's best ale is an easy drinking beer and the Choqlette nitro was my favorite on this visit. There are the regular beer that are always there, and the rotating taps which are always interesting. The bar staff is very friendly and informative. It's a great place to stop in for a flight, an after work beer or drinks with a few people. read more

Such a cute little hole in the wall brewery. The brewery itself is a small place that is not too quiet but also not overly loud. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with their flavor suggestions. I recommend trying their flight, and for fruity and sweet craft beer flavor lovers, try the raspberry. read more

The guys over at Powell Street Brewing Co. told us about Bomber and we're glad they did. You've got to love a beer community that, even amidst the hustle and bustle and competition of the big city, manages to support and recommend each other. Bomber was easy to find, with it's bright red signage, and there was plenty of free street parking nearby. Inside we enjoyed a couple of their very large 20-oz. pours and some salty nuts. The "beertenders" were super friendly, and the beer was really good. I had their winter ale and enjoyed it immensely. Bomber is a great addition to the ever-growing Vancouver brewery scene! read more

This is a great little brewery tucked away in East Vancouver...not easy to find but worth the effort. The tasting room is small with no natural lighting and the food options are quite limited. I am a fan of the IPAs and really enjoyed their IPA (6.3% and 65 IBU). I have yet to try their SUPERPEST DOUBLE IPA (7.5% and 90 IBU) which I will ensure I try the next time we stop by. The staff were very attentive and pleasant and made the stop a great experience. read more

This place has a fantastic selection of beers, there really is something for everybody! Super open and refreshing decor, and very friendly, helpful service. The only thing that would improve it is some food items on the menu, although there was a taco food truck right outside. Definitely would recommend for big groups! read more

I've been to Bomber Brewing many times (and drank their bottles even more times), but never quite felt like I had a total sum experience of their offerings until now. I love their kitschy, old school branding and strikingly designed cans of beer. The Eastside brewery has a vibrant yet unassuming feeling and demeanour echoed in their beverages. I really like their reliable standards and interesting lineup of beers. The blonde is a very robust, easy drinking brew as is the ESB a solid British extra special bitter. The Märzen (amber lager) is a smooth tasting, full-bodied, Bavarian style lager with a nice maltiness to it and clean finish. The Absolute Horizon (Cascadian dark ale) is probably my favourite Bomber brew so far. It's a very satisfying blend full of rich texture and malt flavours. The Old Fat Heater (winter ale) is a strong, seasonal blend with a lot of bite. I tried the Espressso Helles for the novelty and really enjoyed the strong, striking coffee taste from the German style pale lager. The Cinder Ale is a nicely smoked altbier designed for the East Van patio. I had Dan's Famous Summer Bitter (obviously, over the summer) and found it was just as advertised, a clean, refreshing summer blonde in honour of the late Dan Small. The Oktoberfest (München style lager) is a light and festive tasting version of their Märzen, inspired by autumn weather with hints of pumpkin. Bomber has a great selection of standard and seasonal beers available for every style. Its tasting room is designed as a neat little sidebar full of character and charm. read more

I recently had a problem with an order I made for home delivery and I made a rather snarky comment on Yelp. What happened was that I didn't receive my order and got no response to a few inquiries I made to them via email and through their website. Bomber responded very quickly and discovered issues with their IT problems and reached out to me in a kind way. I appreciate their actions and I feel the problem has been resolved. I have been drinking Bomber beers since their early days and am very fond of their brews....especially the IPA. Up until my non-delivery, their service (free home delivery) since Covid entered our lives, has been prompt and friendly....always a welcome sight to have the delivery guy come to the door with nice cold, delish beer! I was impressed with the attention (shout out to Jeff) Bomber has given to fix the IT problem I encountered, and with that done, I'm sure I will be making many more orders in the coming months. Too much branding and too little work on the beer = disappointment. I went with a bunch of people who were also highly anticipating the opening of this brewery and we each had the taster flight. I added the 5th taster for an extra $2 and wish I hadn't afterwards. The pilsner was undrinkable, the ESB was mediocre, the blonde was meh, the stout was forgettable, and only the IPA was bearable. The whole group left the pilsner behind and these are people who love beer and hate to see it go to waste. Not to mention the substandard service. Not only did they give us another table's order, they double charged me (and another friend of ours on a different day). Granted these may be growing pains but that is not really an excuse when you're running a business and there is stiff competition in the neighbourhood. Bomber bombed for me. read more

One of my favorite breweries - even though I don't go as much as I would like to. Living in Kitsilano means its quite a trek getting all the way over to Bomber BUT always worth the trip! It's pretty small inside but you can still fit a good group of friends if it isn't super full! Get their house made kettle chips and drop only $1 on a delicious cup of pickles - you won't regret it! If you're in and they have Parklife available then it is a MUST get, it is their passionfruit lager - so delicious!! read more

Honestly, one of my favourite breweries in the neighbourhood. Their seating area expanded a few years ago and it has absolutely transformed their space. The patio looks out at the bike route on Adanac, tons of cyclists rolling by, it's great for people watching. I love the simple decor choices they made, they are not trying to be a "fancy" brewery but the archways and the garage door for the patio makes the space fun and convertible for different weather situations. In terms of beer, they serve a really crispy Pilsner and ale. Park life is a classic but their other fruit inspired beer is quite good without being heavy handed. Worth a visit! read more

Let's be fair, you can't go wrong with delicious beer right on the bike path. Mary W. and I stopped by here on a warm Thursday night, tottering along on our bikes after a couple of cocktails before this. As we rode down the street we saw the spot across the road was super busy so we chose Bomber instead. The tasting room isn't the absolute cosiest I've ever seen, and doesn't necessarily inspire you to stay and sip for hours, but they do have a large collection of board games, and a lot of delicious beers on tap, so I could be persuaded! We grabbed a stick of spicy pepperoni and a flight each and tucked ourselves onto the wooden benches in the corner. There aren't many tables so prepare to cuddle a stranger, but there's room enough for your beer, and enough distance that you can have a conversation without feeling like it's rude not to invite your neighbour to join in. The beers are great, but you knew that. The Park Life is a fruity favourite, and I also enjoyed the dunkelweizen's malty goodness, and the IPA's hoppy punch. They also have a decent amount of bike parking outside, which is a huge bonus! Give it a shot, the beer is tasty and the prices are on par with other local breweries, so you've got nothing to lose! read more

Riding the wave of the new generation of craft beer tasting rooms in Vancouver, Bomber has finally arrived on the scene. Many have anticipated the opening, remarking at the massive branding on the outside of an otherwise plain building on the well-traveled Adanac and Mosaic bike routes. The buzz has been around since last summer. Inside lies a bustling, clean and modern tasting room. Even better, it's open until 11pm every day. As you open the door, the smell of beer-making-stuff hits you. I don't claim to know everything that makes up the smell, but that delicious stank make-a me thirsty. A flight of 5oz tasters will set you back $7, and individual tasters are $2. In the case of my visit, five tasters for $9. They also serve 16oz and 20oz pints if you already know what you like. A big display fridge holds ready-to-go 6-packs as well as their seasonal bottles. There are 1L ($3 + $6 fill) and 2L ($5 + $10 fill) growlers on sale as well. I tried all five beers that were on offer. Blonde IPA Pilsner ESB Shut Out Stout The winners for me were the ESB and the Pilsner. Both were beaming with freshness and complexity. Sure we were there late after many a drunk was probably served, but still. This place was highly anticipated for me.... on the bike route... 2 blocks from my house... great signage! But holy crap kids, these peeps poured way too much in the branding and didn't have anything left for the beer. The interior is lovely though. At a time when neighbourhood tasting rooms and craft brewing are exploding, you can't afford to be forgettable. Especially when kick ass places aren't that far away. Cool dudes and free Beer air. I'm not a biker but they have a hose that gives you Beer byproduct air for your tires. Because your bike deserves to get drunk too. My favourite beer of theirs is the ESB. None of the others have stood out. Lease favourite, Cinder Ale. Tastes like pinecones. If you're ready for a premium meets neighbourhood type of experience you need to walk or ride your way to Bomber Brewing. Bomber was the perfect place to go on a Sunday early afternoon after long night out on Saturday to get back on the horse! The guys and gals working here are happy to be serving great beer and chatting with the folks who share their love of hockey, mountains, puppies, biking, Vancouver and of course beer!! The tasting flights are awesome from both a value and quality stand point. As with lots of the micro breweries popping up they're really open about their ingredients and processes which for someone like me was really interesting to find out about. I liked that you could continue to buy 4oz tasting sizes once you were done your flight if you didn't want to dedicate to full pints. (admittedly I put maybe too many of those down the hatch!) Inside the tasting room you feel like you're in a mini BC modern/mountain chalet - great wood furniture, groovy lights and a nice cozy feel for a brewery. The branding is cool - like Route 66 meets a brewery and it's clearly been thought through from the cans and bottles right through to every aspect of the tasting lounge and brewing space. If it helps to know, I hear these guys can't keep their beers on the shelf at the local liquor stores so they must be doing something right! I say if you're out and about visiting breweries or even just out for a bit in the afternoon this is a DO NOT MISS IT location. This place has some really mixed reviews which I dont really get. They have an excellent selection of beers. The guys behind the bar are friendly and more than willing to walk you through the selections and help you decide. Id been hanging for a stout all night and their stout did not disappoint! Bomber is a hit with me any day of the week. All of the beers are a little bitter, which I love, but might not necessarily work for everyone. Do yourself a favour and pay a visit as all of the beers are most definitely worth a taste. The ESB and the IPA are my faves, but there's usually a fun seasonal worth tasting. The infusion beers are a fantastic idea. I loved the chili basil infused pilsner I had there. Not a tonne of space inside, but totally worth a short wait to get in. Six packs are cheap as chips inside and they will fill ANY growler. They also win the prize for best branded brewery in town. I want a t-shirt! read more

Good beer, but not one of the best tap rooms in the East Van brewery scene. Bomber do make some great ales, and they have a bottle fridge in the tap room which is a great addition for those without growlers. More tap rooms should have this option. The tap room itself is a little dark and there's just something uninviting about it. There's also an odd smell that's more than a little unpleasant (and no, it's not a brewing smell). The door police there are also a little unfriendly with an attitude that'll make you consider taking the half a block walk to Off The Rail Brewery. read more

This is definitely my favorite brewery in Vancouver. I usually don't write reviews, but this had to be an exception! Right when we walked in, Max welcomed us and broke down the different beers we were able to taste. I love how each beer has its story of its own and how it helps the community. Each beer in our flight were amazing! After having such a wonderful conversation with Max about traveling, we started to chat it up with another "customer". It turned out to be one of the owners of the brewery, Cam!! Hearing his story was very inspirational and amazing. We left with our bellies and hearts filled with happiness! I loved the fact that passion and love can develop into something so beautiful like Bomber Brewing! Definitely top 5 breweries I've been to! read more

The full to overflowing tasting room was an exciting contrast after walking down quiet Adanac St on Friday evening. We sat in the last two chairs available, at a unique wood slab bar against the wall by the door. Enjoyed the view through to the brewery room with its massive steel tanks, but the wall in front of us could use some points of interest. That will probably come with time, and for now the large creative chalk board menus on the side wall were fun to read. Service was good, and the young lady manning the door managed to keep people happy while waiting for seats. Others streamed through picking up growlers and 6-packs. Would have liked to go in the brewery itself, but apparently only staff can hang out in there in the evening, which quite a few of them seemed to be doing. As for the beer, we tried two 16oz glasses. The light amber Pilsner is quite hoppy, reading more like a Pale Ale. The ESB, with a rich red colouring, has a pleasant taste but did not really stand out. I appreciate the reasonable price points though, and we brought home a mixed 12-pack of cans for $20. I like the Bomber beer because it's subtle. It's fresh, local beer in a convenient, comfortable location, and it's clear there is a big demand for this. In the first few weeks, they seem to be keeping up. All they need is a few more seats, at least one beer that bites you back, and hopefully the city soon gives them the proper bike rack they have been asking for - come on Gregor!! read more

It's tucked out of the way, but this is a nice addition to the craft brew scene. They have pretty standard beers and you can try them all in a flight. Growler fills are available and they have a huge cooler with 6-packs ready to go. The real highlight is their flavour-infuser pump and daily creative combinations. The tasting room itself is fairly dark, but cozy and the staff are friendly. They have some chips and other snacks available, but no kitchen. Lots of bike parking out front for a bike beer crawl with friends - A worthwhile stop on the route between Commercial and Main. read more

Dropped in for a quick beer pick-up after Italian Day on Commercial! The staff is super helpful, kind, and chatty (in a good way). I'm a huge fan of their IPA, and it's certainly cheaper to buy at the brewery than at any store. So go in, enjoy a beer (or 5?), and definitely take some home! read more

They guy and I found this totally by coincidence as we were walking toward another brewery and had some time to kill, therefore, decided to hit this one up in the run. Great service, great samples, small space, friendly patrons and they had some really good sodas for the none drinkers such as myself. They had a large bag of really salty chips for $2. My new to-go place for beer, right around the corner from my house no less! Tried their sampler and enjoyed them all but then, I really like bitter/hoppy beers. Their IPA is my favorite but I even like their ESB and Stout which I normally don't drink. Interior has a nice vibe, great space for a drink with pals but it's small. Another benefit is that they are open 'til 11 and their beer is cold (no more buying warm beer at the BC liquour store). Wish they had more munchies than pepperoni sticks although they often have food trucks outside. Also wish they could get seating outside in the summer but that's probably asking too much. read more

Great beer! Make sure to fill your growler up on Tuesdays 2 bucks off! They fill it well. Pressured enough that it will last longer then some breweries. Note to GM please work on ambience, too bright and cold inside. Perhaps put back drop lights on kettles in background,dim bar lights. read more
