I had lunch here and left with a full belly. Upon entering I was greeted kindly by the cashier (maybe owner/manager), he was friendly and helped me navigate my meal decision. I ordered a Big Apple, which is their pastrami sandwich; It comes with your choice of salad, chips, or pasta. I got the green salad option with blue cheese dressing. The meal came quickly, delivered to the table. The salad was simple, some of the lettuce was old but not quite bad, and the dressing while thin was tangy in a good way. The pastrami was served om a Dutch Crunch and did not dissapoint, I was halfway through before I thought to capture the moment on camera. The sandwich size was relatively large, though I was full when finished, I wished there was more because it tasted great. Stopped in for a quick lunch after a work appointment in Lodi. My first choice was closed as it was Monday so I tried a new place. Ordered a turkey with avocado on a Dutch crunch roll. The deli restaurant is a hole in the wall stocked with outdoor patio chairs and tables. You place your order at the counter, pay, seat yourself and your lunch is brought to your table. Service was quick and friendly and the sandwich exactly what I expected accept for a layer of grated carrots....but I did say I'd take any veggies they had. I'll remember to ask what veggies they offer first next time. Your sandwich comes with a choice of salad or chips. My only complaint was the French music that kept getting turned off and on...I enjoyed the music, just not the interruptions. All in all a solid choice for a work day lunch. read more

Beignets. Got your attention now? Good! We called in a large sandwich and salad order to try them out for the first time, and there was no disappointment! But when we got there to pick up our lunches, there was a tray of freshly made, perfectly sugared beignets that called to us! "Take us with youuuu", they called. Who can deny the sweet calling of perfectly golden dough? We listened to the beignets. We bought some, and truth be told, they were consumed on the way home. The salads were fresh, perfectly paired with ingredients, and the sandwiches were well made, good size, and the large order was correct! It's tough to get a big order perfect without forgetting anything, but they did it! The service was quick and friendly, too. Hands down the BEST FRENCH DIP i have ever had in my entire life. French Dips are my absolute favorite type of sandwich (when made correctly) and this place does it eons better than any competitor out there. I've came here more than I can remember and the sandwich is perfect every single time. I forgot to mention the macaroni salad! It's great. Order it. Potato salad is good too. Sorry to break it to you Butcher Shoppe, though I was entranced by your spell throughout high school I've found someone better. I hate to break it to you this way but there's a new sandwich shop in my life now. They meet all my needs without the uptight atmosphere. My heart now belongs to Bon Appetit. I am so infatuated with their Half Dome I've only talked myself into something else a of couple times. All wonderful sandwiches. The bread they used always tastes delicious and fresh. Their aioli spread is the best. A little too much dill in the potato salad for me, but I know some people like that. They are a little expensive but not anymore than Butcher Shoppe and in my opinion more worth the cash! The family that works there is always friendly, they are so helpful that I often tip them for their friendly service. Butcher Shoppe is an icon of Lodi, but this is the town's not so hidden gem. read more

This isn't your mother's sandwich. No offense mom but you weren't working with the quality ingredients that Bon Appetit is. I don't think the potato salad is amazing but my wife does so therefore ... I think it is amazing. Tried the "Blue Mountain" on the first trip. Again on the second trip. Guess what we got on the third trip. Yes - you're right. Other sandwiches may not rate five stars. Don't know why I gave them only four stars last time? I must have been having an off day because they are clearly well deserving of five stars! Found this place on Yelp spontaneously! We came to Lodi to visit the park and wanted a good lunch. Plenty of parking in a large lot. The place is a super cute mom and pop shop. Family owned. Generous large sandwiches with plenty of protein, veggies, and dressing. You can order with a side of soup, salad, pasta, or chips. Lots of variety. Cool little sandwich shop and the owner has a French accent. I would say their sandwiches are more gourmet style than your typical cold cut sandwich. This is a family owned business and everything is made from scratch. Most of the sandwiches are served warm and they have good soups and salads. A co-worker had been raving about this place for weeks and when she told me she was going there for lunch i decided to have her pick me up a sandwich. best decision i've made all year When she came back with my food I took a quick peek but wasn't able to take my lunch yet. I eat with gusto!! If the food is good everyone around me will know it! The ratio of all the ingredients was perfect, which to me plays a huge part in the overall taste. Fiori's has great sandwiches and I'm sure other edibles and so does Bon Appetit. It's going to be hard to decide which place to go to now for a great sandwich since these two places are the Bee's Knees. But luckily I have an App for that :). I ordered: Half Dome sandwich on dutch crunch Green Salad (Comes with sandwiches) Salad Dressing: Lime & Cilantro The bread was sweet, soft yet had a crispy crunchy crust. The smoked turkey was warm, tender, and smoky with a hint of salt. The Aioli spread on the roll was yummy, the swiss melted to perfection. And then there was tomatoes, lettuce, onions and pickles. 5 stars. The salads was a perfect serving for me. What sold me and is making me come back is the homemade dressing. Lime and Cilantro. I can't describe the feeling of having so many flavors in your mouth, but I guess in Japan they say Umami. So Umami!!!! I will recommend this place for sure! Oh yeah and for the Yelper's or reviewers who put environment/ambience over taste and flavor. You won't be disappointed. They have outdoor seating for those 90+ summer evenings. First time coming. Great service and awesome yummy food (the garlic mayo is soooo good). Prices are cheap; about $8 a plate and drinks are vending machine prices.
