I went to visit this place called "Ocean Chinese Seafood" Restaurant in Arlington for the third time...my daughter introduced it to me before, it's like HongKong style foods. We used to live in HK before we moved to the USA to reunited with my whole families for good. To be very honest...their foods are AWESOME!!! Exactly almost 99% taste like the foods in HK local places. I have been missing those foods for years!! Besides...my only sister (older sister) used to eat Chinese food with me in some Asian places/restaurant and she loved HK style foods! My only sister passed away 2 years ago from Leukemia (blood Cancer)...my whole world cut into pieces.... I wished my sister still alive so I could have took her to this place, and I'm definitely a 100% sure she would love this place! Every time I come to this place...it reminds me of her ...I wished I'd found this place much earlier. I always come back to this place because of the wonderful service, great food with amazing prices. I was introduced to Ocean and their menu options are spectacular. I love the variety of Hong Kong style items, the seafood options, noodles, rice and so much more. Enjoyed their egg drop soup, roasted duck noodles and fried rice. I recently brought the family here and they loved the hot and sour soup, flat noodles and fish fillet with Chinese broccoli. While it's not a place I'll come solo, it's a wonderful restaurant for family and friend bonding. The building is old, but it feels nostalgic. Everyone we encountered was polite just felt a little rushed to order but no big deal. It was out first time there and we didn't get to see the entire menu. We just ordered the basics. We came through on a Sunday afternoon and sat at one of the many family style circular tables and browsed the menu deciding on what to order from there extensive menu. We decided to go with the classic family Vietnamese style food and ordered a little bit of everything. We had the sweet and sour catfish soup, stir fried veggies, steamed clams, and braised catfish in clay pot. The food came out in no time and was looking exquisite! They also served a massive bowl of steamed jasmine rice to compliment your meal. The food was tasty indeed and it satisfied my craving. The flavors were spot on and the food was made with lots of love. The only downfall in this amazing experience I had was the amount of MSG being used. Had their lunch special. Was a very large amount of food for like $11 which in today's world is unheard of. The food was very good. The whole place feels really authentic, just walk right in and ask for a table, it won't disappoint. Service was quick and to the point, a nice change from all the fluff with more American establishments. I've passed by this place a few times but never really had a chance to try it out. It's tucked away in the corner of a shopping plaza and is a little unassuming. I was pleasantly surprised by everything! They have both regular authentic Chinese dishes and also dim sum which is available for lunch and dinner. The star of the dinner was definitely the crab fried rice, although the duck was not far behind. In summary every dish was cooked nicely with lots of seasoning. Christmas Eve leaving a friends home, my family was hungry. My husband had this place bookmarked and suggested we stop by. We arrived about 90 mins before closing. Thé service was lacking but the food both taste and temperature were on point. I wasn't hungry so I only skimmed the menu and my husband did all the ordering. He ordered shrimp & brocoli as well as shrimp fried rice. They didn't have any non-pork appetizer options which is a huge NO GO. No veggie rolls, veggie dumplings nothing just pork options and chicken. I would return as I would like to actually look at the menu and order something myself when I'm actually hungry. We came here after going to Six Flags which is a 10 to 15 minute drive. This place does get crowded as we came here at around 7:45pm. Unfortunately, this place is not the cleanest in the world as the carpet is really dirty and the tables take time to clean up and has that old dirty feeling to this. This place is small, but you can hold a banquet here if needed. Believe it or not the bathrooms are actually clean and remodeled. We ordered the following 1. Orange Beef 2. Black Bean Oysters 3. Beef dried chow fun 4. Black bean clams 5. Green Vegetable, I can not recall the name The food overall is good. The orange beef was a little on the salty side. I've been going to this place for over 20 years. Food is consistently authentic and very good. The place is traditional, not much in decorations, but is a favorite of Arlington residence. So 5 years later since my original review and I'm still eating here. But to be honest, today was my first visit since Covid started and they have since changed ownership. It felt weird not seeing the two ladies that's been here for the past 25 years that I've been coming here. However, the Hispanic lady that serves the drinks is still here and we absolutely adore her. She still calls my 13 yr old nice the baby and today was no different. Love her! The new staff was nice and friendly enough. They have updated the place a bit and I hope they will continue to do more because it needs it. As for the food, I'm happy to report that it was pretty much the same as before. Although, they don't have the beef chow fun anymore which was disappointing being one of my favorite dishes here. Everything else was delicious. We feasted since we were celebrating a special occasion. My family and I pretty much ordered everything we've ever eaten here today. Oh, they even had Peking duck hanging by the check out counter. This place is authentic and they are very friendly. At the back you can get roast duck to go. The place is wide open and clean. Currently one lady is taking the time to clean all the front windows that brighten the place up. You will be tortured by the food going by you, with the aromatics reminding me of five star restaurants in Los Angeles. The hot and sour soup (I am a fan) has little bits of garlic and ginger that burst flavor into your mouth. It is missing green onion but it has to be the best hot n sour soup I've had since LA. This review is long overdue but is my go to for Chinese food.. especially the sizzling oyster and vietnamese style hot soup with catfish. Other popular dishes are clams with black bean sauce in clay pot. I tend to get the sizzling dishes such as mongolian beef and add a veggie dish like snow peas or Chinese broccoli This is a hole in the wall place that is not impressive looking at all. The kind of place for a low key good meal. So no criticism on the decor and just expect fast service. In fact, just show them the pics from yelp and you will be fine. I like their HK style lobster over fried rice. It is pricey but we eat it for days as leftovers. The crispy garlic, onions and dried shrimp bits makes it delicious. We've been here 3 times in a month. It's in a standalone building. We randomly passed it and I was like "oh yeah, that's supposed to be good" and husband made a uturn to try it. We ordered. The lights went out. Which seems to be a common occurrence here. They didn't seem to be phased in the slightest. Before the lights went out they had my orange beef ready. I seen alot of people raving about how good the orange beef was. I've never had orange beef, only orange chicken. It was really good. The flavor was delicious. The beef was tender. Everyone liked it. Dining in the dark was fun! Ha! I don't think it was anything like orange chicken..which is a good thing. They suggested we pay next time, but honestly didn't want to do that. We had some cash and owed them a little bit for next time. We came back almost a week later cuz Son kept talking about the duck soup he didn't get to eat. Did I try seafood? No. Husband and I shared mongolian beef and pork. That was also really good. Different from the usual mongolian beef. I liked it. Again, the beef and pork were tender. The duck soup was good. Clean tasting, refreshing in this god awful heat, and the duck was tender. If the meat plates were that good, the seafood must be amazing!! A week later we came back. I was after that big fish that everyone was getting. I don't think I asked her which fish it was. I just assumed it was the hot and sour fish. It looked exactly like everyone's fish except it was missing the red sauce. It wasn't hot nor sour.. it was just okay. A disappointment really. I expected more. Maybe we got the wrong fish. Certified authentic Chinese cuisine by my Hong Kong born and raised husband! Wow, it was delicious! So glad to find a local restaurant that not only serves legit Chinese food, but does so at a fantastic price! The decor inside is dated, but that again shouts true blue Hong Kong style cafe. Makes you feel like you're really there. We had the been curd with shrimp and pork hot pot (pictured), Cantonese beef flat noodle and sweet and sour pork. Our favorite was the hot pot. The outside of the bean curd (tofu) had a perfectly light crunchiness to it, with a delectable layer of pressed shrimp and pork along the top, and a flavorful sauce of fresh grated ginger and spices to complement the dish. The beef flat noodle was also a home run, with very tender beef, noodles just the right texture and thickness, and a flavor that transported us right back to HK. We will skip the sweet and sour pork next time - it was battered pork chop covered with sauce, just not what we were expecting. The sweet and sour sauce was excellent, however, so maybe we'll try it with chicken next time. Now that we've discovered this place, whenever we visit Arlington in the future, you can bet we will be stopping here for a meal! read more

Went to order their Singapore rice noodles. The original meal comes with shrimp and pork but I have a seafood allergy and don't eat pork so I got beef instead. Definitely recommend if you're into stir fry noodles. The noodles come spicy but I requested for chili oil on the side as well for an extra kick. The service was good even though I ordered to-go. My wait was about 10 minutes. The restaurant itself is actually a good size and the ambiance was quiet and has a fish tank which reminds me of those authentic Chinese restaurants that are into fresh fish and chill settings.
