This was my first time tryin an all you can eat Vietnamese buffet and i did really enjoy it. I am of Mexican decent so i am not fa milI remember when it first open and the lines were so long that I decided to wait till the hype died down. This restaurant is inside Asia time square so its very popular regarless time or day but on the weekends its extra busy since they have all you can eat lobster and snow crab legs. I was in Hong Kong market one day and decided to stop by viet and they mentioned they were having a $22 special on tuesdays and thursdays only. I decided to come back on thursday to try it and i got there around 6pm on a thursday afternoon. The cashier did inform me that all payments must be paid before being seated. Parties of 6 or more get gratuity automatically added. The drinks (sodas and teas) come included in the price but they do sell additional drinks for an extra charge. I started with the soup section, they have a menu posted of the soups they are offering and I only knew like 3 of them but that did not stop me from trying them out. My favorite one was the spicy beef, the other one i tried was the #10 seafood and it was fine but it could have used more broth and less noodles. At the end of the soup line they had the sauce station and you can make your own. There were a few people that were cutting in line but the line move somewhat quick. I cant imagine how its like on the weekends when its packed. The grill station had squid, pork, corn and some kind of brisket or sliced meat. The meat was not that good honestly because when i got back to my table it was cold and it had a lot of fat on it. The next station over had potatoes and dumplings i believe. Then the next part i remember is where the sushi bake was and it was very good. I did get to try the salt and pepper crab and they were good since i got them hot off the stove. I tried a couple of other dishes and I was not familiar witi h them but they were not bad but i dont think i would try them again. I did not get a chance to try some of the soups as i was already full and wanted to try the pastries. I went over to see what they had and I saw they had sugar cane water! If i had know they had this earlier when i arrived i would be getting as much of that water as possible! If you never had it before it is delicious but also very expensive to get on its own. The pastries were as delicious as they look. They had some kind of squishy bread that look like matcha and taro but it could use some more sweetness to it. Later I found out you can put that condense milk on it and it makes it super delicious. They also had some bean custard in the cups and something that tasted like banana pudding and that was very yummy. I was there for about two hours and i did see a lot of people outside waiting to come in. The staff here was great, they were busy cleaning tables and refilling drinks. My waiter was constantly refilling my drink and he did not mind when i asked questions about what was the food I was eating. I would like to come back once on the weekend to try the seafood but I would not mind coming back during lunch one of these days. I did speak to this girl in line at the pastry station saying she drove all the way from Frisco just to try the restaurant! wow! dedication right there! I recommend you at least try it out once but make sure you get here early.

Ambiance: This restaurant is larger than I expected. There are plenty of tables available for various group sizes. The restaurant is bright and very clean. I love that there are servers at every buffet station so people aren't unhygienically serving themselves. This is also the restaurant's way to control the portion people can scoop onto their plate, I'd imagine! Service: You pay the tips upfront when you pay for your meal, which is odd. I was a bit disappointed in our server because he did not come often to check if we needed any additional refreshments! Additionally, I realized that he did not inform us of additional beverages available to us instead of soft drinks. We eventually ordered hot tea. I was disappointed that the tea came in a tea bag instead of loose leaf like a quality Asian restaurant. Furthermore, I did not enjoy that they placed piping hot water inside plastic cups! Food: There were plenty of traditions Vietnamese dishes as well as Vietnamese street foods that you can hardly find in restaurants around the area. It was nice to have a large variety! I felt like they did not have a good variety of cooked greens and/or vegetables to complement the salty variety that was offered. A lot of the dishes were too salty for my taste personally! However, you can definitely taste that they used quality ingredients that were better than many other traditional buffets.

Viet Voyage Buffet is a buffet that serves Vietnamese dishes to the masses. On my Sunday evening visit, the place was packed and full of Asian people (a sign of good food) wanting to eat legit Vietnamese cuisine. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (3 Stars if you care about service and atmosphere) Atmosphere - Viet Voyage Buffet reminds me of a grand buffet you'd find in Las Vegas. It's well-lit with tons of "my people". It's super packed and the tables are close to each other, so it can be quite a trip going from one side to another. There are two main food areas, the middle section contains many native Vietnamese dishes, and the side section has a grill and a place for custom ordered street food. Tons of people so if you're claustrophobic or an introvert, you may be out of your comfort zone. 1/2 Star. Service - You pay first and tip (which is weird), and once seated you'll have a dedicated server to help with drink orders. But there is an army of staff members who will roam the dining room to clear plates. Each section (center with Vietnamese dishes, grill, dessert station) had very helpful staff members. It helps if you speak Vietnamese, but if you don't just point to what you want. 1 Star. Food - There are so many Vietnamese dishes (and I didn't take good photos), so I'll list the items that I really enjoyed. Cua Rang Muoi - Salt and Pepper Crab - this is a very high-end Vietnamese Dish. Bo La Lot - Marinated Beef Wrapped in Betel Leaf - the beef is salty, but the leaf is bitter giving it a great combination. Steak - This is not a Vietnamese dish, but steak was tender and perfectly grilled medium rare. Chè Ba Màu - Three Color Pudding - this is a traditional Vietnamese dessert. Bánh bò - Vietnamese Sponge Cake served with sweet coconut milk. It's not a cheap buffet, but the dishes that you can eat can cost $$$ if you order them individually at another restaurant. Side note - all the savory dishes are a bit on the saltier side. 1 1/2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. Let me warn you, Viet Voyage Buffet can be chaotic. Some customers can be rude or oblivious to their behavior. Good thing the staff is great, and some of the dishes could cost you lots of money if you order them separately, but here you can enjoy them at the buffet. Vietnamese food lovers (and economical moms) rejoice! 1 Star.

I haven't been to any Vietnamese buffet in the DFW area. Arriving hungry on a Saturday around 3pm, we were seated right away. In fact, there were plenty of tables available. The server grabbed our drinks immediately, then pretty much left us alone the entire dining service. They were good at clearing out the empty plates. However, some of the older workers were not keen on serving food behind the buffet bar. My husband waited a good minute before someone grabbed him the soup he was waiting on. Since we went on a weekend, it's $42.95 per person. I surely didn't make use of that since I don't eat a lot of the premium items they included: lobster, crab, steak, etc. Let's just say the crab was a little lackluster; it was steamed with little nuance of flavoring. The seafood needs to be marinated a little more. There also wasn't enough grilled items. My usually favorites are the Vietnamese pancakes (banh khot and banh xeo) were super dry and a little disappointing. The dessert display could be presented a little better to make it more appealing/appetizing. I enjoyed the sweet and sour soup (canh chua) and beef stew (bo kho) the most - these items were actually packed with flavor. Hey, at least they have French fries for my son to eat. Overall, service was okay. I probably won't be back unless they improve the quality of the food to make the price worth it; or they lower the price for what you get. Hoping they improve in the future.

Went on a week day and the place was not overly busy but still decent cried for a Thursday night. Buffet for adult was $24.99 and included beverages. The ambience was good with medium level of chatter and overhead music. For a buffet the food was pretty decent. My personal favorites were the different soups including beef pho and wonton soups. The grilled Korean style short ribs were good. Carving area had steak but the meat was fairly dry and overcooked. They do make their own sugar drinks. Good variety of food. Please note that some of the dishes may not appeal to everyone not familiar with Vietnamese cuisine. Service was good.

Went here for soft opening and the staff was very friendly! They were probably not expecting the amount of crowds for their 2nd day of soft opening so bare with them as they work through their grand opening preparations. This is located inside Asia Times Square in the old Bistro B location. Parking is in the same shopping complex and you enter the restaurant from the inside of the shopping center. Our wait at check-in was about 30 minutes but note that they will not seat you without the entire party. Payment is required before being seated and they ask that you only dine for maximum of 2 hours since it does get crowded. Large groups with be automatically charged for gratuity. The decor is really modern and nice! There is seating inside and "outside" with a wait staff walking by to pick up empty plates, provide napkins, get drink orders, etc. One drawback is with the amount of space, there is very limited number of bathrooms (only 3 stalls which were unisex) and the light in the stalls weren't working. Luckily in the shopping complex there are nearby restrooms available. Food variety is pretty good for a buffet and pricing is somewhat on par with the other AYCE locations in the same shopping complex. They have several options of soups, entrees, skewers that were essentially cooked to order so a bit of a wait, and a few desserts. For the crowds, the quality of the food wasn't bad but hopefully when the hype dies down, they can hone in on the quality and maybe rotate options every so often. Overall, a pretty good experience while they're still working out their kinks but looking forward to seeing this location do well since this is the closest we have in DFW to Kim Sơn in Houston!

Viet Voyage Buffet was... rough. These influencers are lying to you. Most of the food was cold, bland, or not authentic. The banh beo, chao long, curry ga, and nem nuong cuon were the only real winners. The bun bo needed mam tom, and all the seafood was way too fishy (not the fresh kind). Bad stuff: bo kho, bun mam, ca kho, chicken salad was just onions Service was fine, but the bill? $94 before tip for two on a weekend. For that price, I expected warm food at least. It should really be $30 per person and that's being generous. It's beautiful on the inside but overall, not worth the voyage.

Pretty good and definitely worth the price. I went after they had some time to work out the initial kinks, and everything tasted well-seasoned without being overly salty. The lobster, prime rib, and snow crab legs were all highlights and really hit the spot. I'd definitely come back again. Pro tip: make a reservation!

Stopped in with the family during soft opening, arriving at opening. Food overall ranges from average- above average. They offer a lot of home style meals which is a pleasant surprise along with special items you wouldn't usually eat. Prices range for weekday lunch/dinner and weekends but you do get prime rib, lobster, and crab during the weekends. Layout could use some work, the chairs make it a little cramped and hard to maneuver with everyone trying to get to the actual food lines but the atmosphere is very nice. Service is pretty good, staff is very helpful and attentive. For the only vietnamese buffet in DFW I think viet voyage is an excellent choice. They're constantly trying to improve and welcome feedback, which is a plus in my book.

My wife found this place and really wanted to try this. I had to convince her to go as this place is 50 minutes away from the house. We went for the weekend buffet which includes the premium meats. Believe it or not, I thought this buffet was going to be crowded and a long wait, but it was not as we waited for 10 minutes to pay for our meal. It is $43 dollars for the weekend and I believe $35 dollars other days. You get a soda and they give you a big cup. It is not self-serve and people give you the food. It makes sense as it make sure people do not hog the food especially the lobster coming out or the meat. They have separate stations. 1. Appetizers/Dessert 2. Meat and Seafood 3. Pho 4. Regular food The service is great as the people pick up your plates ASAP and they are staffed appropriately. I know they ask for tip before you eat, but they do a great job for 18% minimum. The people that serve you the food are friendly and polite. My wife and I ended up being here for an hour and a half and I was just stuffing myself silly. What I like here? 1. Lobster 2. Ribeye 3. Beef Short Rib 4. Fried chicken wings - I ended up having 5 pieces 5. Dessert - I tried all of them and enjoyed them all, but I like pandan refresher 6. Calamari What I did not care for? 1. Catfish - very cold 2. Seafood pizza - rice was hard and the salmon was cold 3. The beans that you put the chips on, had a weird minty taste I did not try the salad or the pho, but maybe next time as there is so much selection We did have an issue, unfortunately when I got the yogurt for dessert, there ended being a big piece of glass as big as a quarter on my yogurt and when I chewed I thought it was sugar rock, but I spit the glass shard out. We mentioned this to the staff as we want to make sure other guests do not get the glass and the manager came over and apologized to us and made sure I was okay and gave us 10% off on our next visit. I was lucky I did not swallow the piece of glass. Overall that did not ruin the experience, but I did not get another yogurt after that

We went at 1pm on grand opening weekend and only water 15 minutes in line. Although the layout of the restaurant is not cohesive for a buffet, the service is quick. The there are servers at each station to place food on your plate for portion control which makes it more sanitary. The lobster, beef salad & ribeye were my favorites. The quality of the food is really good compared to other Vietnamese buffets in Houston. They are able to accommodate large groups. Would definitely recommend

    Matthew C.

Great service! Pretty awesome food, and such a huge variety. I highly recommend getting the quail, snails, fish sauce wings, BBH, beignets, bahn xeo, bahn koht, shoot. Just try everything. I will say, price is a bit much, especially for kids. 0-4 is free 4-10 is like $20 Above is about $43 I'd say, if you're going with those who can handle AYCE and want pretty great quality for the price, this is the place to go. If you think people in your party might only be able to have 1 plate or have kids, I'd say have them eat somewhere else and go yourself haha. Definitely worth the visit though.

Viet voyage is a must try. We were greeted by a sweet hostess (pre-pay before you eat) and our server was Kevin who took excellent care of us and was very attentive. We enjoyed trying dishes that we were familiar with and also trying new dishes. My favorite was the little crepe cups with shrimp in it. You have to drizzle their fish sauce on top of it which is really made to perfection and well balanced. Another favorite of the Viet Voyage experience was their fresh sugarcane juice!

Food Rating: 2 Stars Here's what we ordered: Walnut Shrimp, (2 Stars) Large Ox Tail Pho (2 Stars) and Bun Bo Hue (3 Stars) We were there during Happy Hour so ordered the Walnut Shrimp since it was $4 off regular price. The Walnut Shrimp was pretty small in size. There wasn't enough of the sauce and the batter was minimal. Shrimp wasn't as flavorful. Walnuts were nicely coated and sweet. This dish came out less than 10 mins after we ordered, which was very suspicious to us. Oxtail Pho - Pretty disappointing. The Oxtail wasn't as tender as we hoped. The broth? Overpowered by one of the spices (I think it was the Star Anise) and just didn't taste right. Noodles were cooked well. Bun Bo Hue - Broth was actually somewhat spicy to my surprise (I love spicy and can never find a good BBH that is actually spicy). But other than that was okay. Lots of lemongrass (feels like it was the frozen lemongrass) and I thought that extra charge for pork blood was absurd esp considering the price of the BBH already. In addition, it did not come with the usual veggies

I was out and about running errands and wanted somewhere not too busy where I could just sit back, enjoy a nice meal and get my thoughts together, when i came across this location. I quickly pulled up google and yelp accounts to see what others had said about it and was interested after a couple of reviews that I had read. I found a small table in the middle of the restaurant. My server approached quickly. For an appetizer I order 3 egg rolls (stuffed with pork and vegetables & served with fish sauce), I also ordered a Thai tea and the pick any 3 meats Pho (I chose Tripe, meat balls & Duck ). This was my first time having duck in my pho and it was different but also delicious. My previous experiences with duck weren't the best , my take has always been that duck is too oily/ greasy to me. Still very much the case this time around. However, the greasiness of the duck paired well in my pho bowl and It was really nice and tender as well. The broth was piping hot and savory. The egg rolls were a 10/10, the Thai tea was 8/10, and the 3 meat pho was a 8/10. This location had some decent foot traffic. There were a few others dinning in but I did notice a lot of people coming in to pick up orders for take out. I enjoyed my meal & service so much, that I returned a couple of days later for take out. This time around I got an order of egg rolls again , their salt and pepper chicken fried extra crispy and the 2 meats Pho ( tripe and meat balls ). Similar to my dine in experience, I enjoyed everything that I ordered. I would have liked my salt and pepper chicken wings to be much more crispier, but they were still yummy. I wasn't too pleased with the price of the wings either . I paid $17 for just 6 wings, that to me felt like a rip off. For that amount it should have came with some fried rice or something. So i probably won't get the wings again. I just know that I'll definitely be a regular at this location during the fall and winter season, and I love that it's only 9 mins away from my house.
