Thursday 10/31/24 Found out about this spot through a Reddit post and I'm glad I did. It's only open on weekdays and it's located in the center of office/busniess buildings so it kinda felt odd but it worked out in the end. I made a takeout order via toast and got the London broil $11.55 and the picante chicken $9.95. Both of the sandwiches were served on ciabatta rolls and toasted. The London broil was amazing as I thoroughly enjoyed it with every bite. The picante chicken has a slight spice flavor to it but it was just alright. Overall, that London broil sandwich was special. I would think nearly $12 for a sandwich is crazy but this one is definitely worth it.

OMG you simply must go and try the London Broil sandwich. Absolutely fantastic. Best sandwich I've had in a long time. Try it on the baguette; you'll get more meat for your . Actually all of their offerings is easy on the , with most being less than $10. It's in an awkward location, but once you tried them, you'll want to come back again and again. Just don't forget them like I did lol! Service is friendly and quick, and atmosphere chill. Come and see for yourself! Nom nom nom!

Amazing sandwich spot for lunch in rockville, never packed, always delicious. Some of the most friendly staff I have ever encountered! The london broil is absolutely a must try! Do yourself a favor and try it next time you go there! In the summer they open the large garage style doors and it is a pleasant place to enjoy your meal! There is plenty of parking every time I go there.

While I still think this place is quite noisy, I will also add that the staff is extremely friendly, the food portions are generous, and the prices are fair, and the place is clean. Technically, it is wheelchair accessible, though it is very challenging to navigate with the small space between the tables and a very heavy entry exit door. Still, welcome addition to the King Farm Neighborhood.

Had to try their signature London broil sandwich. The beef was cooked medium and sliced very thin. It was tender and juicy (was not stringy or grisly). The arugula and onions complemented the meat well. The ciabatta bread tasted freshly baked. It was flaky on the outside and slightly chewy on the inside and held the sandwich well. It was not rubbery or hard like some supermarket ciabattas. The sandwich (wrapped well in paper) came warmed and had a melt-in-your-mouth quality. The Mediterranean salad with grilled chicken and lentils had crunch, textures and freshness. Plenty of greens, roasted red peppers, mozzarella, shaved cheese slices, banana peppers and hummus rounded out the dish. The chicken itself was warm and tender (no hint of dryness). The salad also came with a warm mini-ciabatta. Lastly the chocolate chip cookie for dessert was a great final touch. The outside was delicately crunchy while the interior was chewy and chock full of chocolate chunks.

Boy oh boy...my life was changed when I finally got to try the London Broil sandwich. It's the only sandwich I crave and I'm not even a sandwich fan. How can bread be so perfect and delightful as the ones served at Bon Fresco? The ciabatta has a nice crunchy crust (not the break your teeth type) contrasting with very soft and fluffy inside. The steak, provolone, greens, onion, dijonaise, and ciabatta work well together to create this perfect sandwich. I'm jealous of anyone who works at one of the three tall buildings surrounding Bon Fresco. I'd probably stop by every day for lunch/dinner if I were them.

My colleague and I met here to catch up for lunch. It was my first time at this location. I have been to the one in Columbia. I found a Local Flavor offer, $10 for $20 worth of casual dining. I was on the fence about the Ham & Swiss or the Picante Chicken. I asked the server which she preferred. She preferred the chicken, but said the Ham & Swiss was more popular. She said the picante sauce had a hint of spiciness so I decided not to get it since I can't handle spiciness. I typically don't like dijon mustard so I should have asked if she could replace it with another condiment. The bread was fresh, but the sandwich was not very filling. I got a cookie too and wasn't very full when I was done eating. The cookie was the highlight for me. The cookie was soft and the chocolate chips were semi melted and gooey. Yum! Masks are required prior to entering and your temperature is taken if you dine in. The server was friendly and the restaurant was clean. Currently there is limited seating.

The Manoushe was ready quickly and I was in heaven after my first bite. The vegetables tasted so fresh! The base of the Manoushe had the perfect amount of olive oil. It didn't taste greasy or heavy, and felt like the perfect lunch to enjoy the onset of summer. The aioli made me nervous that it contained egg because it was so creamy and delicious! I have been told three times it is vegan, so I will not think too hard about it and just enjoy this delicious sauce. I am excited to come back to order the Toum Raider again. Thanks Z&Z for the great vegan options!

We ordered the Big Eaters Platter, the Corned Beef Hash & Eggs, and shared a Nutella Crepe with Strawberries for dessert. The portions were generous, especially the Big Eaters Platter, making it a solid choice if you're coming in hungry. The corned beef hash was decent, and the Nutella crepe with fresh strawberries was a nice sweet finish to the meal. That said, I thought the food was just okay for the price. Nothing we ordered was bad, but nothing really stood out enough to make me want to come back. The quality was solid, but I left feeling like there are better breakfast options in the area for the same price point. If you work nearby or are visiting one of the surrounding medical offices or hospitals, I could definitely see this being a convenient spot for a quick breakfast or lunch. However, as someone visiting the area, I don't think it's a place I'd go out of my way to return to. Overall, friendly service and a clean restaurant helped make for a pleasant experience, but the food didn't quite justify the price. A good neighborhood café if you're close by, but probably not a destination breakfast spot.

Cava Mezze had some of the best customer service I'd ever experienced. The staff was so attentive--everyone from my server to the manager. Any member of the staff that simply passed my table made sure to ask me if I was enjoying my food or give me an update on the status of my food. My server also made sure to inform me about the restaurant's cuisine and menu before I ordered. As a solo diner, she made recommendations about what may be best since I wouldn't be sharing the small plates with a party. As for the food, I ordered the saganaki and grilled octopus. The restaurant also provided complimentary pita and harissa. The pita came out warm and the harissa was actually one of my favorite parts of the meal. The saganaki was good, but was ultimately just warm cheese; So as a solo diner, the $16 cost wasn't worth it to me. If dining alone, I probably would spend my money on a more unique appetizer like the hush puppies or mezze tasting. The elements of the grilled octopus were good, but felt like they were slightly off or missing something when paired all together. The grilled squid was tasty (well seasoned and smokey), but had a few too many burnt pieces for my preference and was /slightly/ tough. I still really enjoyed the flavor of it though. The fava puree was sooo good! Again, it had a great, slightly salty flavor that I really enjoyed. I think it was perhaps the brininess of the capers that threw off the flavors off, but the dish felt 100% more balanced once I mixed in some of the complimentary harissa! I really enjoyed my time at Cava Mezze and am excited to return to try more items from their menu. This restaurant is solo-date approved!

The hummus is very good. The babaganoush is very smokey. The falafel are the best I have found other than the world famous Maoz, I just wish they were bigger so they would stay hot and moist longer. T. $6 for 5 doesn't feel right when I could eat 20 of them so unfortunately I won't be ordering them again. The falafel are clearly labeled vegan and gluten free, as are many other items. The sauces are very good and they squirt them from bottles that dispense a generous amount. The meat unfortunately does not come right off the spit but is held in a metal bin like chipotle so they can keep the line moving, but you can see the 3 giant spits roasting away in the back. The last thing I love about this place is that you get something you simply can not make at home. Even if you make shawarma style chicken and have rice and greens, there's no way you're making hummus and babaganoush and all the sauces and then you'd also have to buy 20 ingredients for the toppings... It's the same idea as chipotle or if you know Cava, it's more like that. The price starts at $12.99 and the only thing that raises the price is if you get lamb or steak or double meat. All toppings are included. It's worth mentioning again, the hummus is very good, perhaps the best I've ever had. Not only great flavor but it's the creamiest smoothest hummus.

The supreme chicken shawarma had saj bread, chicken, hummus, lettuce, tomatoes, pickled red cabbage, pickles, and garlic sauce. I added spicy harissa and diced onions to it at no additional cost. The sauces and varies ingredients made this taste like a combo halal rice bowl. Price point seems quite reasonable for the quantity and customizability.
