Staff/owners are so friendly and proud of the food theyre serving. You can really tell it's made with love. I really wanted to like the restaurant bc the food truck was so good but...$35 for 2 sandwiches and a can of coke. It wouldn't be so bad if the chicken wasn't flattened to a silver dollar n then coated with breading. Its like eating fried breading in between 2 slices of potato buns. Super dry. Not enough of the sauces either, making it more dry. If they want to pound them that thin, can they at least double them up? Is it another case of skimp-flation after the pandemic? Seems so for now. Stopped by for a quick lunch and i wanted something good so I decided to try this place out for the first time. Inside was clean and had a good bit of room with dine in tables. The service was friendly and helped with the questions i had about what i should get. I decided on the Mac, a regular fried chicken sandwich with a secret sauce. The chicken sandwich was HUGE i had to split with a friend. Only tried the Mack sandwich so far, and although it's not advertised as spicy, it definitely has about as much kick as a spicy deluxe from Chick Fil A. I'd say the chicken breading here is more refined tasting - you can taste the intricate flavoring, plus it's crunchier. The chicken breast itself is hefty and tender. Cozy diner atmosphere inside, although I ordered Togo. Service was quick and polite. Price point, you are paying almost $15 for a single sandwich (no sides included) so that's a bit high.. I went in on a Saturday night before their official big big opening and they are SO GREAT. I had their food in food truck form but this was just as affordable and tasty. The former laundromat location is really cute, there is a good selection of types of chicken sandwiches on the menu. I had the Southern - seasoned honey drizzle style. My husband had (and loved) the Hot - spicy garlic chili oil. Both very good, arrived to the table with crispy hand cut style fries, all piping hot. So my employer treated us to a food truck rally and I thought what better time to try something new than on someone else's dime. Considering I'm risk averse, this was the perfect time. I had a choice of the Southern (honey glaze and pickle), the Special (sweet and spicy), and TN Hot, which was hot. I chose the Southern, which came with what looked like two big ole chicken thighs on a toasted bun and fries. The chicken was delicious!! Crispy, moist and well seasoned. I would've like more of the glaze though. It was way too much chicken, however. I know, I shouldn't complain, huh? I don't know if it was the normal serving size, but I took one thigh off. I'll finish it another day. I added mayo as the sandwich was screaming for it. The fries were nicely salted, hot and crispy. The cook/server was friendly and professional, but they could've done a better job managing expectations. Half the employees chose this food truck and I had waited in line for an hour. Hot, The Special, and the Southern Fried Chicken Sandwiches so far. I follow Bonafried on Facebook, so I can find out where the truck will be. The owners don't really post a weekly schedule like some trucks do, but rather post where they'd be when they park. They seem to not serve on Sundays and Mondays. Other days are more predictable, but never a guarantee. After seeing the them post a picture of the T.N. Hot Fried Chicken Sandwich on their Facebook, I HAD to get my hands on it! When the time came around to it, I was super excited to try it! The sandwich was very large and just looked amazing. I grabbed the sandwich and just felt the crispiness of the chicken through the soft bun. I thought to myself, "This sandwich is LEGIT." The sandwich itself packed a good bit of heat, but I feel like that was the only thing that was focused on. I thought it needed some more seasoning to be more enjoyable. The Special was just a little sweeter and less spicy than the T.N. Hot. The Southern was surprisingly my favorite of the three I tried! It had the perfect amount of sweetness and saltiness for a fried chicken sandwich and was enjoyable for every bite. I also added fries to one order for only $1 and it was a good bit of fries. Overall, a great food truck to go to for some fried chicken sandwiches. These sandwiches are filling, crispy, and tasty! I checked this truck out at Gretna Food Truck Fest and I am so glad I did! First of all, the owners of this truck are beyond sweet and have a great personality, which is always a delight. I stepped up and decided to get the Southern Chicken. This is their version of the Chic-Fil-A sandwich (I'm saying that, not them)- a nice cut of fried chicken, topped with a pickle on a buttery bun. There are two sliders to an order and they are pretty big, so don't be afraid to share. The slider is out of this world! The chicken is juicy and perfectly fried with a lot of flavor.
