Stopped in for breakfast. Fast service. Has a mom and pop feel to the place. Hot food was hot and cold was cold (my basic). Green pork burrito with eggs and country tatters was very good, the pork was so tender! Wife had simple eggs and hash browns. Comfortable and friendly. We came here with my mother-in-law. Waited a long time to order. If it had not been for us being out with Mom, we would have left and gone somewhere else. We ordered two of the Susie Specials, and split them. There was a lot of food. Toast as a side for one and biscuits and gravy for another. It was just okay. The Susie satisfied the cheesy eggs and potato craving, but there really was nothing special. The biscuits and gravy didn't taste right at all. Definitely not good. In the summer of 2023, my family and I were visiting the Fort Mojave area and enjoying the lake. During our vacation, we had issues with our boat trailer and could not find a business in town that was willing to help. We decided to stop to eat breakfast to try and come up with a plan, at the Bananza Cafe. The food and service was awesome. It was a perfect break from our problems with the trailer. Thankfully, during our breakfast, we met the owner. He was very generous with his time and tools, and was a huge help to us! We are grateful for his kindness and his yummy breakfast! I just don't see what the fuss is all about. The food is "just OK" (standard) with few surprises. However, the staff are really, really nice, especially to their regulars (all of whom are well into their 70s). It is an extremely popular place despite my observations. Ordered the Ortega-chili cheese omelet. The Ortegas, being canned, were completely devoid of flavor. (Please switch to Hatch chiles!) The "cheese" was sadly two pathetic sandwich slices of processed Swiss melted on top (no cheese inside a cheese omelet?) Their homemade salsa offering is bland, unfortunately. On the plus side, their bacon is very good *and* you can get raisin toast with your meal(!!). Their coffee is the sort your Grandparents would approve of. The pancakes are the size of your head! We literally chose this place for breakfast because the parking lot was packed. It didn't take me more than a few minutes before the conversation turned to " I have no idea why this place is packed." My first impression was the water tasted strange so I ordered something different. This is a wonderful place. we were greeted immediately when we entered by at least 4 employees! The staff is very friendly and efficient. The food was made to order. This is my 100% most favorite place in the Fort Mohave/ Bullhead City area for breakfast or lunch. Located on the 95 with plenty of parking a clean small restaurant with old time atmosphere and very very good waitresses. I can't say enough about their biscuits and gravey it is so good. Every thing on the Omelets are huge and packed with plenty of whatever you want in them and the coffee is hot and plenty. If you haven't already been to the Bonanza Cafe you should treat yourselves to a great place with great food and service. read more

This is our go-to place when we visit my wonderful in-laws. Dad is a Texan and loves country food and Mom, though from California, loves it too. I love cooking for them when they visit me and my breakfast is very much like this wonderful surprise in the middle of the desert. Service is amazing. My coffee cup is never in want of coffee. Most restaurants have a policy of letting the customer notify the wait staff, assuming that you won't refill as often. That is an unfriendly way of doing things and really shows that it's about the money, not service. Back in the day, there was a drink lady who used to go from table to table refilling drinks and that's all she did with minor other things. /rant This one is fantastic in service. They don't have a designated drink lady but they have a great system in any case. My in-laws are regulars there and this is practically their kitchen now. They love it that much so it deserves a great review. You don't need all the fluff many restaurants focus on, it's just d**n good food! If you're on a special diet, then I'd skip it. To begin, I, of course, am an Expert...having many years experience in "the industry". Walk in- bright cheery lady seats us, even clears a booth quickly so we can spread out- Noyce! Wonderful server- this lady had a sweet smile, just a lovely woman. Food showed up lightning FAST! and it was good. Veggie omelette w/biscuit-gravy. Buddy had a benny, good one. Here's what ensured a 5-star review for these guys: When I sit down in a restaurant, I check to see if the salt & pepper shakers, and other table items are grungy, as they typically are. Not @ Bonanza- The S&P, Tabasco, ketchup, etc. all super-clean and are given a nice cleaning EVERY DAY. So you know the kitchen is clean. Bonanza does it right and they do it with STYLE. The floor staff on 6/15 was just unbelievably efficient, cheerful, happy to BE @ the Bonanza. I'll be returning...a new "go to" place for B-Fast and Lunch. 500 stars. Well done. read more
