This is one of my all-time favorite little shops in NYC. I have been frequenting this Nolita establishment ever since they first opened. Through the years, I have purchased many chocolates here for my own pleasure, while gifting it to my family and friends to open their eyes to this magnificent epicurean goodie. My favorite flavors over the years have been Passionfruit, Raspberry Rose, Macadamia Rice Puff, Black & White, New York New York, Yuzu, Mint Chocolate, Banana Foster, Bourbon Maple Pecan, Gianduja Hazelnut, Key Lime Pie, Guava Passionfruit, Kalamansi Meringue Pie, Vero, Matcha Green Tea, and Wild Strawberry. Oops, I guess I like a lot of them. But trust me, there are many more flavors, and almost all of them are excellent. No longer a secret, if you ever want to buy their chocolates before a major holiday like Christmas or Valentine's Day, then I highly recommend you order ahead of time for pickup. Otherwise, you will be dealing with sold out flavors and regulated to whatever is still available. Honestly, that's going to be pretty darn great anyway. They look beautiful and taste even better. Sooo at Per Se, we were served this DELICIOUS peanut butter & jelly bonbon and could not come back to LA without stopping by Stick With Me, a chocolate shop founded by Chef Susanna Yoon who was head chocolatier at Per Se for a couple of years. Her signature bonbons are a work of art and absolutely delicious. We tried almost all of the flavors available at the time and there wasn't really a single one I didn't like. These bonbon boxes are pricey (24pc - $112, 54pc - $236) but make incredible gifts! Service was really friendly and answered questions we had about the flavors. Tl;dr version- The bonbons are pricey but they're worth every penny. Would heavily recommend the Black Sesame but the earl grey truffle and Vero-pecan pie were also excellent I was here a little while ago to try their bonbons having passed by while walking down. The inside is nicely designed and the woman working who I am pretty positive was the owner/chocolatier was very friendly. I decided to try two of them and I think they were around $4.60 or so each so around $10 after tax which is a bit pricey. She also gave me a Earl Gray Dark Chocolate Truffle which was very tasty as well and it was perfectly made. The thin outside snapped nicely, the ganache was smooth, and the flavor was nice with a barely sweetened chocolate center with a bit of tea flavor though not too much making this also one of the better truffles in recent memory. The first one I got was the one I was most interested in which was the Black Sesame And Passion Mango Bonbon consisting of roasted black sesame praline topped with a touch of mango passionfruit jam inside a thin white chocolate shell. The predominant flavor was the black sesame praline which had that good roasted nuttiness. I am not the biggest fan of white chocolate as I generally find it way too sweet, this was the rare exception where the bit of sweet chocolate paired nice with the sesame. The flavor at the end was the bit of tropical sweetness though mostly sourness from the jam. This was excellent and the best bonbon I have had since Kreuther's Chocolates as some bonbons from a Kochi x Yingtao event which I'm pretty sure this place made though I'm not positive (as those also had Asian flavors and were perfectly prepared like these.) The other one which she recommended after asking about preferences was the Vero-Pecan Pie listed as their signature flavor with a pecan praline topped with sea salt caramel and milk chocolate. I generally don't like super sweet things and thought it would be too sweet but she said it wasn't as sweet as it sounds and she was right. The pecan flavor was stronger than the caramel adding some crunch with the bit of sea salt being nice as well. Of course as per everything else, the chocolate was perfectly tempered and was super smooth. You can scoff at the prices but you're getting Michelin Star quality bonbons which I don't say lightly. Would recommend these heavily as a gift or one/two as a fancy treat. The ratings are justified and if they were even a buck less, I would presume this place would have a 4.9 or 5. read more

I found Stick With Me by chance after making candles with my best friend at Wick and Pour. We decided to walk home, and I'm so glad we did because we randomly came across this tiny chocolate shop and it's seriously amazing. I'm not even a fan of Key lime pie, but their Key lime chocolate . It has meringue and graham cracker and it was so good, it actually changed my mind. My favorite, though, is definitely their caramel and the black & white chocolate is right up there too. The strawberry one is also delicious. They had a limited edition pistachio flavor when we went, and it was amazing. Same with the s'mores super rich and just really well done. The shop itself is really pretty inside, and the staff were lovely. Emily and Jereena were both so sweet and helpful. Just a heads-up the chocolates are pricey. I spent around $60 for them individually but honestly, it was worth it. Would 100% go back again. read more

I'm kicking myself for not taking any photos here, but I had two kids with me and I was distracted by the works of art they call chocolate here. This place was on my list but I actually walked by it on accident and decided to walk in. It was cold so why not see what it's all about with my two eyes and grab my kids some hot chocolate? It's a thoughtfully decorated where I immediately felt welcomed and happy (for some odd reason) but small shop. No seats or tables. Promptly greeted. The chocolates are pristine and I think might be the shiniest I've ever seen at an artisanal chocolatier. The colors are bold and bright! It was mesmerizing. So, I did get hot chocolate for my kids. They make the powder mix in house and though it is free from wheat and nuts, the facility isn't allergen free. My kid with multiple food allergies was fine though he didn't drink it until stay it had cooled down. I did also drink it and it's lovely. Rich and thicker than chocolate milk, it's also spiced with definitely cinnamon. While there, my daughter was fixated on the "black and white" which is their version of cookies and cream. It is her all time favorite flavor so I decided to indulge her. Don't look at the prices too long. I think it's over $4 for ONE chocolate. It's placed on the cutest little miniature "table" and my kid ate it there. And like that, almost $5 gone! Joking aside, I did manage to get a nibble and it's delicious. I love how it's not too sweet. I believe a Tahitian vanilla custard ganache or something like that was mentioned. I also went crazy and purchased a 6-piece "book" of chocolates as a gift. That is $32. I'm tempted to gift it to myself, but perhaps I'll stop by again to finally indulge. And so that's the story where I dropped way more than I expected in 15 minutes at a chocolate shop. Somewhat painful, but I'm not nearly as regretful as my husband thinks I should be. If I told him about the final total, that is. I love how this place is locally owned and just everything about it. I'm also glad I don't live nearby. I just wish they had a mini pamphlet of all their flavors as well as descriptions so I can better plan the conclusion of my next visit. read more

Greatest chocolate i've ever had. The praline one, the first i ever had, blew my mind. Since then, i've come many times and have given them so much of my money. It's expensive but entirely worth it to me. Need to eat it fresh though. The taste and texture definitely declines by after 2 days so i wouldn't recommend getting a box as it'll get stale. The only one I wouldn't recommend getting is the dubai chocolate. That's the only one that has disappointed me. read more

I walked in on a weekday afternoon and the store was empty. The shop is just a small walkway and they have a large selection of unique bon bon flavors and other items on display. Everything was still available when I arrived in the afternoon. The service was very friendly and patient while I was debating which bon bons to get. They are definitely expensive, but there is clear attention to detail for each piece and make a great gift. I was also able to try a sea salt caramel bon bon! They are so beautiful it's hard to want to eat them, but so easy after you realize how yummy they are! They also have such unique flavors and I love the beautiful "book" boxes they have. She was so helpful in explaining the different types of chocolates. I picked out a box of 6. However when it came time to try them I want that impressed, especially for what they cost. These are mini chocolate truffles (known to be one of the best in nyc) so as a chocolate lover I had to try it! To compare against other similar quality chocolate it is pretty good with good intermix of flavor texture and quality of chocolate. We came here again mainly for the book (chocolate box) and had the Matcha crispy bar which is a fancy rice crispy, the White truffle matcha balls which has melt in your mouth matcha flavor and a Bonbon box with a mixture of 12 pieces. Stopped by on a whim as I was walking past their storefront in LES. Their bonbons looked vaguely familiar and after a quick google search I realized that these are the same complimentary bonbons they give you during the dessert course at Per Se. They are tiny innocent little works of art at first glance, each one the same size and shape, perfectly glazed as the next with crystal ball like swirls beckoning you to have a taste. Your first hurdle is to snap out of the hypnotic beauty of the bonbons, the second hurdle is to actually select the ones you want to try. They aren't cheap and unless you have no problems throwing away ~$5 on about two minutes of pleasure times the 20 or so options they have, I'd imagine you would want to go for the 6 for $25 box. They are truly delicious and complex in taste so while it feels like you could pack away 10 in a sitting, you don't want to overdose on the flavor. They are smooth, creamy, not overwhelming sweet, and each one is unique in texture and flavor. My favorite was the passion fruit and dark chocolate which is about 66% dark. read more

Aside from the bonbons looking beautiful and glossy, the flavors are unmatched. They have chocolate ranging from white to milk to dark and you can create a Book shaped box based on your preference. I've been buying dark chocolates for my mom every time I visit her and she is still obsessed with Stick With Me.
