The drumsticks and wings are pretty good! Loved the unique flavor of the spicy and the soy/garlic. We got the half and half combo and the wings were a pretty good size but I'd recommend just going with the drums to get more bang for your buck. The tenders were a bit dry to be honest when I went a separate time but maybe it was just an off day. The main reason I'm rating this place is because the service is terrible. They only employ two young ladies to run the whole front of house, taking orders, and handling to-go and online orders. Because of this the wait time is nearly an hour no matter what. I ordered food to-go in the day at around 1:00pm on a Wednesday and it still took 50 minutes. The food was cooked within 10 minutes and they didn't tell me my food was ready for the rest of the time! It just sat there and both of the waitresses were in the back most of the time. I understand that it's not their fault because they were busy but then this location needs to hire more workers! We ordered through Yelp/Grub Hub and when we came to pick it up, they told my husband that it wasn't there. He showed the email confirmation and he was told that it was already picked up! So it's either they made a mistake and gave our order to someone else or someone else claimed our food. The latter seems impossible because how can someone else know our exact order unless the Bonchon staff didn't check. When they found out the mistake, they didn't even apologize. Tried today for the 1st time and LOVE the soy garlic wings. So crispy and flavorful. Seasoned zucchini fries in the dip they give are also forking great. The pickled radish (side) is sweet, but a good foil to the rest. Chicken katsu was good; crispy, juicy and perfectly cooked. read more

Since they're newly opened, I'm sure the owners are working out the details to their operation, but A LOT of improvement needs to be made before we visit this location again. Ordered $100 worth of food for curbside pickup, but no one ever came out with the food. Don't bother calling, because no one will answer the phone either. We went inside and another couple was waiting for their take out order. The manager or owner (whom I can confirm with other reviews does not wear a mask) takes a bag of food that was ready for pickup into the kitchen and comes out 5 minutes later with a bag ready for that couple. I don't want to make assumptions here, but I'm guessing they just prepped the food for this couple with the bag that's already ready. When we finally got someone's attention, only half our order was ready. I've worked in the restaurant industry for several years and know that it is not standard procedure to only have half the order ready. Our guess? They took our food that was ready for the couple in front of us. It took an additional 40 minutes after our scheduled pickup time to receive all our food. I know it's not the server's job to take care of customers who are waiting for pickup, but the least they can do is acknowledge them and find someone who can help these upset customers. Servers and whoever runs this pickup operation need to be better trained, and the manager needs to wear a damn mask. Food was subpar at this location. Hopefully, they can get it straightened out, but for now, I'd rather drive the extra distance to Stapleton. read more

You know, I really tried to give this place a chance. I've ordered about 5 times from here for take-out, as they have the crispiest chicken (in terms of korean friend chicken) in the area. However, it seems that every time we go there is something wrong with our order. Today in particular, I ordered the tteokbokki. When I started eating, I noticed a strange sour taste. A few more pieces in and there was definitely something wrong. Tteokbokki should not be sour. So I stopped eating and called the restaurant. The staff was friendly, and heard my concerns and put me on hold to go speak to the kitchen manager. After a 10 minute hold, I was told that I can bring the food back to have another one made. This wasn't an option for me as I live about 30 min away and already drove an hour to pick up my food. Since I figured I would order from them again, I asked for a credit for the inedible sour tteokbokki for next time. Again, I was told I need to bring my tteokbokki back. Absolutely horrible experience with Bonchon today. Ordered well over $200 worth of food for a party to be delivered (AND left a generous tip when I paid online). Apparently Bonchon takes ZERO responsibility for their deliveries (which they use Door Dash for). The driver couldn't find the restaurant and hadn't even arrived at the restaurant until well after the time it was scheduled arrive at our home. By the time our food finally arrived (about 20 minutes past the scheduled delivery time), we had a ton of soggy cold chicken and sides. I called the restaurant and they said, "Call Door Dash -- that's not our problem" and they offered NOTHING to make this right. If you don't want to be responsible for deliveries, don't offer them on your website. Fair warning to anyone who intends to use Bonchon's "delivery" option. read more

The food is good, but we live 20+ minutes away and came specifically for their chicken. Twenty minutes past our curbside pickup (after we saw 5+ people get their food and leave), I go in to ask about our order. The girl at the counter double checks my name, checks the computer, then goes into the kitchen and comes back out to tell me that they need a few more minutes. I go back out to my car to wait and nothing for another 10-15 minutes, so I go back in to check on our food. No explanation for why the food was 40+ minutes late at that point until I asked, to which I was told because they were cleaning. I had ordered the food over an hour ago by this point and the fact that all the other customers had gotten their food so long ago while there was no one left but us, so we are really unhappy about this experience and probably won't be back now. read more

Bonchon never failed me but they did today. I order the wing combination order with half spicy and half plain. When I went to pick up the order, I relished that it was half spicy and half soy. I then went back to the store and told the cashier that my order was wrong. I asked if they can do anything about it since we have allergies to soy. The manager said no that they cannot since the order has already been made. I asked for a refund but they said no. I left the food with them and left. I haven't experienced this before so I'm a little disappointed with them since they have always been pretty good. read more

The first time I visited Bonchon I absolutely loved it! I did dine in, and literally raved about it to my friends and family. Tonight- we did a take out order, and didn't receive the soy garlic on half the order. To remedy this, we left the wings at home so the rest of the family could eat, and drove back to ask for sauce for the rest of the order. Upon asking for sauce, we were repeatedly told, we could not get any sauce unless we brought the wings back. I'm still in disbelief as I write this post- a complete lack of customer experience and customer empathy. Next time, make sure your wings are properly sauced before you drive home to avoid this type of scenario. read more

We ordered for delivery and got the pork buns (bread was so soft and the pork and slaw on the bun was so fresh tasting. We also got the strips in both sauces. They were both tasty. The spicy wasn't toooooo spicy and the strips were hot. We also got the daikon radish side and they were a little sweeter than I'm used to at other Korean places but still good and tasted fresh. So I've been passing this place many times but never went until yesterday night, and I wish I could go back and slap my past self for never stopping by. Our waitress was so sweet and attentive, she took the time to explain what we were interested in made sure to warn us when we're about to order something spicy. There was one old Asian man that was very nice and made sure we had the best service, our drinks were never empty and our food came out so quickly. I would highly recommend ordering their wings, they were so crunchy and perfectly seasoned, we got the spicy wings and we never regretted it. This is the second time trying this place. The first time, the half and half wings "to go" were super crispy and delicious, although they overcharged my cc by $4. It was not a large amount so I did not dispute it. This time around, I paid cash and was still ripped off since they didn't have "change". What dining establishment does not have change on hand? Anyways, the half and half wings "to go" were soggy on the outside and overcooked on the inside. So disappointing since we rarely eat out during the pandemic. We noticed a new place opened right near home, considering we love asian food we had to give it a try. I ordered Katsu and my daughter had chicken fried rice to go. I paid over the phone as requested. When i got there the guy at the counter pointed me towards a table full of to go orders so i could search for mine. I wasn't offered a hello or thank you which i felt was quite rude. There were no utensils or napkins. The food was visually appealing but lacking in taste. My katsu was rubbery and didnt come with katsu sauce which left me disappointed. The fried rice waa good but it had a ton of red bell pepper which overpowered the dish. I never have written a Yelp review so that should tell you how many problems I had with this place. If I can give 0 stars, I would have. First off, COVID regulations were thrown outside the door and people who were in different parties were seated well within 6 feet of one another. We're talking 2-3 feet and all tables, some tables people's backs were no more than a foot apart. Second, the service received was by far the worst service I have ever received. I was not handed a menu, until the hostess realized we had been sitting and handed us a menu. She then quickly got us two waters and got back to what she had to do, be a hostess. At this point, we didn't realize that the hostess, was more of a server than the actual servers. I ordered a bottled beer and it didn't come open. I had to ask for plates and utensils after our food had come out in which I was just sitting there wondering how I was supposed to eat this without any plates or utensils. Finally when the bill comes out, it seemed they didn't charge me for my beer. I thought, "that's nice, they comped my beer because they realized that we had received sub-par service". I hand them my card and the server takes it, looks at the bill, and then charges for the beer. In the grand scheme of things, it's a small amount of money, but what that server did was highly illegal. I agreed to pay for a certain amount to the first bill given, and then they go and charge me for whatever they want. No permission asked or given, just simply charged. With the lack of COVID regulation alone, I was annoyed, but all the other things added on made me furious. read more
