Just moved from Houston where Bon Chon has been our 'go to' for some really good korean fried chicken. At my kids' first bite, they said "Mmmm, I forgot how good this was!" There is nothing you can compare to the taste of this... much different and way better than other 'korean' fried wings from other places. 4 hours later, sitting at room temperature, the wings still had a great crisp and crunch to it, while we enjoyed our leftovers! We ordered the 30 pc 1/2 and 1/2 soy garlic and spicy. The spicy is probably more spicy than what you expect... it's not so spicy on the tongue but has a little burn to your lips that may last a little while. I can't comment on service bc I ordered "to go" but staff was very friendly and attentive to my order when I picked it up. Finally, try the daikon radish over coleslaw as an option... very tasty and a nice compliment to the spicy wings! read more

I've been seeing this place advertised for awhile and have heard good things so I decided to try some the other night. I had plans so ordered takeout and opted for curbside. Parking was kind of crazy given it was a Friday night but I didn't even have to call for someone to bring the food out. As soon as I pulled up someone was walking out with it, great service! For my group I ordered udon noodle soup, pork buns, a combo of 10 wings plus 5 drums(half spicy and half soy garlic), pickled radish, and fried shrimp. To start the udon noodle soup wasn't as flavorful as I would like but it was still good and a generous portion. The shrimp were excellent and the dipping sauce was really good though I feel like that should have been a larger serving size considering the price. The wings were outstanding! So crispy and so delicious! The spicy was SPICY so if you don't like heat I would opt for a different flavor. The pickled radish smells so strange but was pretty good. The pork buns are definitely worth trying out. You get three buns per order and they're just so good! The bun itself is perfect! Overall I'll for sure be going here again for some wings and pork buns. There's quite a few other things on the menu I want to try. read more

Our first time visiting this location I would say it deserved a flying 5 stars. However, upon our next two visits I would give it 1 star but because the food is good I give it a solid 3. I would also like to note that our server Julius proceeded to lower his mask to speak to us while taking our order, which he also did when taking other customers' orders as well. Came after a long flight from Chicago late Monday night. The wings were absolutely amazing and filling. My group ordered the spicy wings, soy garlic wings, and the tteokbokki. It tasted freshly made and authentic. The tteokbokki had a variety of additions such as glass noodle rolls and fish cakes. Both were great additions that made the dish so much better. The wings although packed with flavor and sauce still had a crunch and were not soggy at all. The food was so good that we ordered seconds! The waiters were all personable and checked in on us regularly even on a late Monday night. They regularly came by to refill our water and asked how our food was. I made an order for pickup around New Years. I went for the fried chicken lunch combo with rice. I thought the service was great - the server who took my order was professional and nice and gave me an accurate pickup time. However, I would say my food was mediocre at best. I ordered the wings/drumstick variation and got a weird mix of boneless chicken and 3 wings instead. While the chicken was a bit on the soggy side, the flavor itself was fine. I did 50/50 soy garlic and spicy flavors and both were wonderful. The rice was good, nothing special but accurate and what I'd want from plain rice. I don't know if I made the order at a bad time or got an outlier, but I was a bit disappointed with the food. We were really looking forward to trying this spot out however they were unfortunately to understaffed and we were completely ignored when we came in. There was a huge line of people waiting to either be seated or to pick up food. No one bothered to ask us if we were dining in or picking up. They poor girls were running around getting food out, and waiting tables that no tables were actually ready or cleaned for that matter. We ended up just going to the Red Robin's across the street which seated us right away. We might come back when they have more staff and are not as busy. read more

I was so happy to hear they finally opened a location in Aurora. This restaurant is a Korean fusion that sell Korean styled fried chicken and other Korean dishes. Their menu has a lot of options to choose from. We always stick to our favorites which are the half and half fried chicken wings with spicy and soy garlic. We also like to get a side of tteokbokki which is a spicy Korean rice cake dish that comes with mozzarella cheese melted on top. We are very thankful that they open one near us during the pandemic. The food is very delicious chicken is crispy. The reason for the 3 stars is because of their lame $5 coupon for DINE IN ONLY. During this pandemic many patrons do not want to dine in, per social distancing guidelines. It makes sense to send out coupons to get people to come in and visit your new location but it's very poor to make it dine in only AND not honor it when someone comes in to take their food out. The idea is to have people try your food using the $5, be impressed, and come back paying full price. I think you can afford that $5 off to get people to at least try you food. Makes me not want to eat here again to be honest. read more

I had never had korean fried chicken and my wife loves this place from back when she lived in NY. Surprised her with a visit, and we were not disappointed! The chicken is perfect, sides are great, rice is awesome. Service was fast too! The only sad thing is that we saw the inside and seating looked amazing, as did the beers. Great food, good atmosphere. It does get a little crowded at times, that just goes to speak to how popular and good the food is I believe. I lived in Korea for 6 years in the military and I can tell you it's as good as the food in Korea. The employee's always seem to be focused and checking on the customers. I hate when my drink runs out. I will reduce a tip to 10% if my cup is empty and I can say I've never had to ask here. Bonchon is amazing. Definitely need to try if you haven't. read more

The chicken is very crispy and you definitely hear a crunch when you bite in it. My husband remarked at how much he liked to hear the crunch. The Korean tacos are a great fusion of cultures. The fried rice is good. We got the family special with half spicy and garlic and I enjoyed both. The spicy is very spicy so beware if you aren't able to handle it. The drumsticks and wings are pretty good! Loved the unique flavor of the spicy and the soy/garlic. We got the half and half combo and the wings were a pretty good size but I'd recommend just going with the drums to get more bang for your buck. The tenders were a bit dry to be honest when I went a separate time but maybe it was just an off day. The main reason I'm rating this place is because the service is terrible. They only employ two young ladies to run the whole front of house, taking orders, and handling to-go and online orders. Because of this the wait time is nearly an hour no matter what. I ordered food to-go in the day at around 1:00pm on a Wednesday and it still took 50 minutes. The food was cooked within 10 minutes and they didn't tell me my food was ready for the rest of the time! It just sat there and both of the waitresses were in the back most of the time. I understand that it's not their fault because they were busy but then this location needs to hire more workers! It's been like this the two times and I went. The chicken is good but not worth the bad service and high prices. read more

We ordered through Yelp/Grub Hub and when we came to pick it up, they told my husband that it wasn't there. He showed the email confirmation and he was told that it was already picked up! So it's either they made a mistake and gave our order to someone else or someone else claimed our food. The latter seems impossible because how can someone else know our exact order unless the Bonchon staff didn't check. When they found out the mistake, they didn't even apologize.
