Overall: This is a good place to get quick and good Korean fried chicken, along with a good selection of other Korean dishes in a non-pretentious environment. It's located in a neighborhood that doesn't yet have a ton of good food options. Drinks: I think they have mostly beer, sake, and soju. The Wings are really solid, classic Korean fried chicken wings. They come in either soy garlic, or spicy. I opted for half half. The size of the wings could be a bit bigger, but they're not bad. If you want bigger wings, Boka in the East Village has what you want, but Bonchon is a great alternative. Flavor is great, crispiness is good, and the spicy ones are actually spicy, which I loved. The Kimchi Bacon Fried Rice was great. Big portion, and the flavor is awesome. Decent spiciness from the kimchi, and nice saltiness from the bacon. You can tell there's actually a good amount of both kimchi and bacon in here. Service: Service here is attentive and quick. Servers were all very nice. Atmosphere/ambiance: It's a pretty decent sized space, which you can't really tell until you get inside. Pretty long bar, with tables lining the opposite wall. I like their wings but it's overpriced. The Snyder soy wings are way better. Their fried rice and kimchi are really good. The soy garlic wings are a best seller for a good reason. I really like them. BEST WINGS IN THE US... they said... and I AGREE!! From start to finish everything about this place was AH-MAZING! We were seated right away and started off with drinks. I had the sangria and my sister had the lemon drop, both were really good. Our food came quickly and you guys... I had the chicken fried rice and spicy/sweet crunchy wings and I could cry. They were soooooo GOOD! I literally finished my plate CLEAN to the bottom, no rice grains left! These are the Bon Chon seasoned fries. For a little under double the price of the regular fries, you'll have a umami bomb in a paper bag. Crispy fries, an indulgent amount of salt, parmesan, the house spice seasoning and parsley. I had these to go and we're a little too salty and heart attack inducing to have on their own, but they would be great with some cold drinks. Finally! Bonchon in Brooklyn! Even better that it's only 3 stops from me hehehe. Now we can get our Korean fried chicken fix nearby instead of having to go to Manhattan. Ever since I saw Bonchon pop up on Yelp, I've had it bookmarked and we finally went in tonight for dinner. We got the 10 wings, half and half - for those not versed in Bonchon/Korean fried chicken-speak, that means half soy-ginger and half spicy. We also got the fries, the takoyaki, and two sides - the pickled radish (a must have with Korean fried chicken) and the kimchi radish. The seasoned fries were crispy and a nice carb to eat alongside the fried chicken. The takoyaki was good too, nice to have something with a softer texture with all the crispy, crunchy fried stuff we ordered. The chicken was exactly as I'd expect from Bonchon: double fried, crispy, light batter, and those craveable flavors. I really liked the kimchi coleslaw too - it was crunchy and tangy and just a tiny bit spicy. Will definitely be back! read more

Chicken is slightly sweet- but Korean style chicken is a good variation on fried chicken. Sides are good- their fries are great. Pickled daikon is also a great palate cleanser. Korean fried chicken are my favorite, there is no other kind of fried chicken that I love more. So when I saw the "opening soon" board at Willoughby street, I walked by that place atleast once a week hoping that it will open one day. Few months passed and it finally opened but I was on a stupid diet so I went to the smoothie place near to it and had the healthy smoothie. Anyway, I finally decided to go to this place on a Friday night after a 2 hour workout (I convinced myself that I deserved it) since my plans got canceled. So there I was at 10.05pm, it was pretty empty because duh anybody but me would have plans on a friday night. I wasnt sad because IM GETTING BONCHON FRIED CHICKEN. I was gonna get my usual combo which has wings and drumsticks, half soy and half spicy and pickled radish. The woman by the cash register told me that they ran out of drums but I was still happy since they had wings. So I ordered that and waited for a looonnggg time for my order. There was three other people who were also waiting for stakeouts but other than that the place empty. Noone was dining in but it was almost closing time. In the end I went home and had delicious chicken. It tasted as expected, delicious, moist, yummy. I was in the mood for a little japanese food so me and hubby decided to come here...i was so hungry i ordered the lunch special rice and chicken and spicy chicken slides and seasoned fries. Hubby got the chicken on the lunch special and a drink. The rice was not the best I've had it could've used some fresh lime juice but i didn't ask for any... the slides were ok, the fries were good. Bae hated his chicken, he didn't like the breading it reminded him of being in high school, i tried it and i didnt like it either..if i go back its to try the salads, the salads look really good. I recommend them only for the taste of their food.. it is very delicious.. the chicken is in a league of its own. It's pricey but somehow I always end up saying it's worth it. This location is new to me and it doesn't mirror the service I've received from the other locations. I came to order some wings to go only bcuz I couldn't find parking they told me the wait was 25 minutes (which also sucked because there was like 6 people in the restaurant) but I figured maybe because it's freshly made and I wouldn't argue that it wasn't. I left to find parking and when I found a spot to park I came back and asked if I could change my order to dine in they said no because the kitchen started making the food already and something about a tip having to be involved if they are serving it to me I said okay no problem we will pay a tip additional but they refused to let us sit in the restaurant and eat the food that we bought FROM THEM! This restaurant looks like it can seat up to 50 people not including the bar and there was literally 6 people in there. 3.5 stars. Manhattan bonchon prices. Ok paying $25.00 for fried chicken but should the wings and drumb stick be bigger? Looks like a lot but some of it were tiny. Ordered the half spicy and half soy. It was pretty good but beware the spicy has a kick which I like. Also had the Korean rice cake. It's not bad but think the cheese can melt a bit more. Overall the service was ok. Some were nicer than others. Pretty busy place on a sunday. Food can come out hotter temperature wise would be better. Also the music here could use some good old kpop. read more

Food was fine, nothing KFC can't trump to be completely honest. But if there is anything to say about this place, it's the crappy customer service. My friends and I (we are seniors in high school) were mistreated for no reason by this waiter, even though we have been respectful and quiet since we walked in. I asked how big the fried rice is and he says, "Really big!" and used his hands to emphasize the size, then he later sasses me by saying, "No what do you think. Did you really think we will give that much? Don't be fooled, this is Korean food. There is only enough for one person." I'm sorry, what does food being Korean have to do with the size? And when we called him again to change our order, he told us he can't do it yet decided to change it anyway and charge us twice. I'm glad he left early so he couldn't get our tip, not like he wanted it from us anyway because he ignored us every time we requested for water. I discovered this place during the pandemic. First time I tried was ordering at work through seamless. I can definitely say that they are now one of my favorite restaurants. So much that I even took the train just to order in person since they don't deliver at my home address. I never liked octopus but their takoyaki is now one of my favorite dishes to order. read more
