Do they even work?
Lilee N.

Ordered for superbowl more than 72 hours ahead for the superbowl and it's 40 mins after the time we requested and no explanation. I get that mistakes happen or orders are overlooked but there's a way to handle this with grace and that was not the case here. The two servers or counter folks just went to the back kitchen to hide. When other customers came they'd come out to give their orders but otherwise didn't make any attempt to explain or share the reason why my order wasn't ready. When I asked 40 minutes later they said they didn't see my ticket. Had they just told me that at the start and said they'd start the order and an actual estimate it would've been fine. But to dodge the whole issue and lie when I arrived by saying just 5 minutes is wrong. And no apology. No offer to make anything right. You try to support local business but man they just fail.

Half spicy and half soy garlic wings
Sharona R.

On this rainy day my youngest was craving Korean fried chicken so we decided to try this place out and take it to go. We ordered 30 pieces of spicy and soy garlic wings and an order of dukboki. The wings are fried crispy....this was a ! The spicy sauce was indeed spicy and not too overwhelming, soy garlic was not bad either- it was okay. I will say even after glazing it the sauces soaked in well to the chicken and wasn't soggy! Dukboki on the other hand....total miss! I'm sorry can we please go back to how dukboki is supposed to taste or at least keep close to how it should originally taste and keep it simple? Now if customers want to add cheese, make it an option, not a standard? Seaweed roll wrapped in noodles were added into this too...this too can be an option...it's really unnecessary! The taste on this was a miss....yes it had rice cakes...I could taste some spice at the end, but I don't know what the sauce is supposed to be. Way too much going on...flavors being a total miss! If craving for Korean Fried Chicken...definitely go and pick your choice. I would go back for that...the dukboki...I will be definitely be passing up on that!

The chicken wings was good crispy outside , meat soft inside mixed with tasty sauce and the chicken sandwich were perfect meals with their special sauce Like this restaurant not as the last place ( Irvine) their food fresh , perfect fried not over and not oily. Nice service here.

Went for the $1 wing deal, with 15 pieces as the limit per person. The wings look big because of the crispy batter but was a bit dry from the lack of sauce. I wish they tossed more sauce on the wings as they looked lackluster & plain. I remember the wings here used to be so juicy but quality changed. Sauces are extra $. There was only 1 server there who was also the only worker on floor. She was pretty inattentive, checking in once the whole time.

Tasty Korean Fried Chicken, and Asian Fusion dishes! From the wings and bao buns to the bulgogi fries and potstickers, all the dishes had great flavor. My favorite was the soy garlic chicken wings.

Seoul Sampler
Daniel G.

My friend and I came here and ordered the Seoul Sampler -- 15/10. The chicken was incredibly crisp and flavorful, the seasoning was mind-blowing. The bulgogi fries were also a 15/10, the fries could've been a bit crispier but i'll digress. We weren't fans of the coleslaw or the corn, but everything else was great. I'm giving it 4 stars mainly because the restaurant was empty and our server was pretty much MIA until it was time to pay. The ambiance, though, was really nice -- no heavy fried-food smell, and the music was at the perfect volume. Overall, it was an 8/10 experience, and I'd definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area!

Japchae (SUPER GOOD)

The best Korean friend chicken spot. Their service is amazing everytime I come in or even order out and their workers are very attentive. Whenever I come in, they greet us and seat us right away. Food takes about 10-15 minutes to come out but it is always worth it. The soy garlic chicken wings are my favorite and now their glass noodles are too. Their food is always packed with flavor but its never too much, it is the perfect amount of seasonings. In addition to that, the place is always clean and the tables are always wiped down.

What I ordered....

I want a refund. You can't post your item online and make it all appetizing and give consumers a fucking basic corn dog and charge me 5+ tax.

Bulgolgi Bibimbap

I returned for lunch on Saturday 9/13/2025 with a friend who fell in love with Bonchon ever since she got a taste of it in New York. i, myself had many meals at the Fountain Valley location before. As usual, my favorite Wings and Drumsticks with Korean bbq flavor and Coleslaw was ordered along with Bulgogi Bibimbap. I have been to Korean bbq resto many times in the past, but had never ordered Bibimbap until today, and voila, it was so tasty, I really like it now. i did not order my usual Seasoned French-Fry today, but believe me, it is very tasty. If you never had Korean fried chicken, this is it, I strongly recommend Bonchon.

Soy Garlic & Korean BBQ wings with Edamame, Kimchi and Coleslaw sides. Ice cold large Asahi w frosty mug. "Addicted Yet?"

First time trying Bonchon chicken, and I definitely recommend tasting their delicious crispy wings! They're lightly breaded with a delicious crisp and juicy chicken! I tasted their Soy Garlic and Korean BBQ flavors and both were delicious! I'll be back to try the rest And you can't go wrong with their $1 wing special! I appreciated their quick and friendly service, along with their relaxed setting. They also serve their beers in frosty pint glasses, a big plus for me. Their kimchi and coleslaw also paired perfectly with their wings. See you soon! Thank you and cheers!

The hosts on the phone were super helpful and it was really easy! 1pm on a Saturday and waited less than 1hr doing so (only half of that being in person too). Service top tier as usual. Favorite dishes: - Spicy noodle w/ chicken wontons: sauce is a banger, not too spicy, and they're generous with it to coat all of the noodles! - Lomo Saltado w/ Filet Mignon: the fries are sooo good with a sweet crunch to it PLUS the creamy little spicy cilantro green sauce is so good!!! Picanha had too much fat on it for me, the filet mignon was definitely the move - Garlic noodles: Perfect amount of garlic & butter to the noodles. And again, the green sauce is so superior with this.

I've had a taste of almost all the entrees on the menu, and all of them are a hit from me. The standout for sure is the garlic noodles, specifically with the ribeye. The steak is also cooked perfectly and pairs well with the noodles and the sauce. Other dishes I enjoy a lot are the calamari, the arugula salad, the spicy noodles, and the saltado fries. The service is always friendly and welcoming as well, and after all these years of eating here, they remain very quick with brining the food out. Of the Kei Concepts restaurants, this one has been consistently very good.

The restaurant itself was very cute too and had a good amount of seating. - The drinks were both pretty good and strong, they're not skipping on the alcohol. The lychee spritz was nice and refreshing. 4.5/5 - The pizza was definitely fresh and I love a thin crust. I know margherita pizzas are usually wet but this was almost too wet. Still it was good and will probably be better after crisping in the oven to heat up. 4/5 -The truffle fries were sooooo good! Very crispy which I love and the parm was nice on top. The Calabrian chile sauce was tasty and went well with the fries. 5/5 - the crudo was nice and fresh too, only 5 pieces but they were cut thick so I didn't mind. They had a good sauce 5/5 -The star for most people, the miso carbonara, wasn't my favorite. If you've ever had the instant ramen buldak, it tasted like their carbonara sauce so that threw me off a little bit. Still pretty presentation and good texture on the noodles 2.5/5 -yuzu sobert was very good! the orange slice at the bottom was a nice touch. 5/5 - complimentary chocolate cake! so nice of him to do that, we had a conversation about me visiting from out of state. It was a good chocolate cake too, moist but still rich. not sure what it is in the menu but 5/5 Overall it was still a 5 star experience that was fun and has great drinks + service !

The two hostesses were confused and apologetic however, I would assume that they would have a better system where they knew which tables and seats were being occupied...kinda unprofessional in my opinion. Crispy calamari: Loved how lightly battered it was and it definitely was crispy. Also, the portion was pretty generous! It's good enough for 2-3 people for sure Kimchi fried arancini: We weren't sure what to expect with this dish despite the description, but we were pleasantly surprised. It reminded us of a potato ball with kimchi and spam inside. We loved the texture and flavor, and the fried egg aioli it sat on top of was great as well Gochujang pork belly: We wished the pork belly was just a bit crispier. The flavor was fantastic though! And while I understand the mashed potatoes are part of the fusion aspect, my husband and I both agreed that it would've been more amazing with rice instead, hahah Miso bacon carbonara: The udon texture was perfectly al dente and had such good bounce. I loved how creamy the sauce was too. However, I just wanted it so badly to be spicy! Some spice to this dish would've made it a 5/5 in my opinion Strawberry lychee ice cream: Meh. Compared to the delicious appetizers and entrees, this ice cream was just lackluster. No particularly strong flavor (even accounting for the fact that lychee is generally a weak flavor) and the consistency was more icy than creamy. Considering the price point ($10) for a scoop, I'd definitely not recommend it There's a decent amount of tables and it has a cozy feel inside. It can definitely get loud though since the sound bounces inside, especially when there's large/loud parties. The service was impeccable and our server was so quick and attentive. It runs a tad pricy, but I do feel like the quality of the food and service justifies it (minus the ice cream, lol). Overall, we had a great first experience and this place is definitely worth visiting :)

Just the right amount of chili added a nice heat to it as well Spicy Wontons: I did not taste but looked fantastic and the table loved them. Why did I not get to taste them?
