It has been several years since I have been to this Pho Dakao but everything is still the same; quiet classy luxurious. I actually ordered a bowl of Special Pho and every bite was delicious ! Another thing is all parking spaces are only for 1 hour!

I haven't been back to pho dakao in a while, but the food this time was just okay. The bánh bèo was pretty bland, and the cơm gà rôti was dry and lacked flavor. The miến gà was alright, but nothing special. Honestly, I'd probably only come back if they had trứng non.

Pho Dakao specializes in chicken pho and it's excellent! That being said, I've had better at A Nu Quan but I still think if you want something that's easily accessible and hits the spot, Pho Dakao is your place! Just note that they are traditional and traditionally you don't put in sauces in your chicken pho like you would do with beef pho so if you're really into the hoisin sauce taste... Well to be honest I don't know if they even have those condiments so you'll have to ask! Their herbs are super fresh which I always appreciate and their ginger dipping sauce for the chicken is so good! It gets packed on the weekends - both the restaurant and the parking lot since it's in the same plaza as a ton of other great vietnamese spots like brodards and all those other kei concepts restaurants.

Have been back Phở Dakao for a while. Order chicken wing noodle Turned out the chicken wing went out ( maybe weekend) Looking on reviews, there was not only couple time they were missed what customers ordered by went out! Remind me at Phở Song Hai the most or always went out the chicken wings in the time open, can see it happen in this restaurant. Hope they could fix this happen. Replace the chicken wing noodle , the beef stew noodle was smelling good. Service was good

Pho Dakao is the spot for pho ga kho (dry chicken pho). I love coming here for that when I want something comforting but am too lazy to cook. Also notice how I specifically said pho ga kho. I have tried their pho ga uc (the soup one) the first time I visited and it fell a bit short for me. While the broth was clean, it tasted a bit plain and the amount of chicken I was given was underwhelming. It was mostly bone, hardly any meat. I also have a preference for the thin noodles, so do note that they serve the thick noodles here. When I came back a second time, I got their pho ga kho. They also serve the soup on the side when you order this. I was much more impressed with this dish. The amount of chicken in my bowl was generous and the soup tasted much better this time. Ginger-infused, savory, and comforting. The sauce is also what brought this dish to life. It was mostly sweet, but also savory with a kick to it. The veggies added a nice crunch and the noodles were chewy. I've been here a few more times after to order the same thing. I don't think the service here is as bad as everyone is saying. They're helpful and attentive when I need them. It may be difficult to flag somebody down when they're busy and also in those cases, the only time you see your server is when you order and they bring out your food. However, this is pretty common at many Vietnamese restaurants in the area lol. My food always comes out quickly after I order though so no complaints there from me. The inside is also very spacious and clean. Parking is a hassle sometimes so I would recommend coming on a weekday when it's not as busy.

Service is slow but the food is good! You know it's good when you see older Vietnamese people here. They're picky! I come here for one dish that is a standout. I come for the Pho Ga Kho / Dry Chicken Pho. I've never had anything like it before and it's delicious. My mom introduced me to this dish and we always come here on the weekends. I typically choose the dark meat option. You mix the sauce into the dry pho and enjoy. The mixture of the salad/herbs along with the pho noodles and the sauce is chef's kiss. There's also a small side soup that comes along with it. Everything about this dish is just right. I highly recommend coming here to try this dish out.

We went to a nearest restaurant but it's was too crowded and long wait time so we decided to eat there. Food was quick but the service was okay. In the pho has more fat then the beef and crispy rice with beef needed little bit more cooking it's was kind of hard rubbery. Inside the restaurant was beautiful the have a nice tree inside.

We come in and order 3 Pho Kho and 1 Pho Bo 4 water. The owner should train their employees again. No respect to the customer at all. If you want to waste your money and treated at shit you can come here. I dont care how good the food is but with this kind of service they should sell the business. The waitress who take my order was rude, we wait for 20 mins and constanly ask 3 times for 4 waters. When she bring out the water I saw she hostile glare at us. We wait for 10 more minutes no food. The table who come in after me but they already had their food so we question another waiter. That waiter begin to yell at us disrespectful and said our waitress is new, and do we want to cancel the order and take our busniess somewhere else?? Never say a sorry or whatsoever. I would never spend my money here ever

    Canh gà lắc muối sả...

Canh ga lac muoi xa... the worst chicken wings that I ever had. They should call its Fried Chicken instead of using a fancy name. I dont even taste the lemon grass like they call... the chicken was so dry to the bones... it's completely worst...

We were in the area the other weekend, and a friend recommended this spot for lunch, saying they had legit chicken pho. Pulled up, got seated right away, and noticed a cool Anthony Bourdain quote about pho on the wall--always a good sign. I ordered the Mien Ga, which is glass noodles in chicken broth with a side of poached chicken. The chicken was tender, and the dipping sauce was solid, but overall, it was pretty simple. The real standout was the Pho Ga Dui Kho Long--dry noodles with chicken giblets and dark meat, served with a sweet soy sauce to pour over. This one had way more flavor and was definitely the highlight of the meal. Honestly, I'd only rate this place 3.5 stars. The food was decent, but nothing mind-blowing. If I come back, it'll definitely be for the dry noodle dish!

My go to chicken pho spot. The broth is clear and clean, definitely a healthy alternative. Clean and modern restaurant with plenty of seating. Big plus that they accept credit card. Tip: They do run out of dark meat chicken towards the end of the day.

Pho Dakao If I could give 10 stars , I would! Their beef stew is seriously the best Vietnamese food we've ever tasted. We've tried many Vietnamese restaurants, but this one takes the cake. Please, do yourself a favor and try their beef stew - you won't regret it! excellent service and ambiance

I came here from my Viet friend's recommendation for the Pho Ga Kho, the dry chicken pho. This place definitely hits the spot when you're not in the mood for too much broth and want to just enjoy the noodles and chicken. My friend recommended the dark meat but unfortunately they ran out even around lunch time on the weekend. However, the lighter meat was still great! The entire meal is flavorful yet light, which is what I love about Viet food. Tons of veggies. The appetizer banh khot was also delicious - soft but crispy on the edges with a flavorful sauce to pair. We also had the mungbean drink which really surprised me, it was delicious and not too sweet. I took my family here again and they loved it as well.

The yuzu and lemonade didn't overpower each other, and a nice touch of the mint leaf! Kei Coconut Ube had a nice taste to it. The sweetness was nice, super purple in color, and worth trying at least once. Drink definitely does not look or taste like a beer so think of it as a sparkling Ube drink when you try it. Beef Tongue appetizer was very tasty and the appearance was pretty. The sauce was very delicious with a hint of citrus. Beef Bowl Udon was delicious as well. The udon noodles are in the middle of the thickness level. Broth was nice and refreshing, and the beef belly was super soft and tasted amazing. Seafood Tom Kha Ramen was really good. Seafood in it were shrimps, scallops, and squid/calamari. Not too spicy, but had a nice kick to it. Veggies were nice and mixed well with the seafood ramen! Unfortunately, the eggs do not come with the udon or ramen, but they do have free unlimited ramen noodles!!! They let you get it for the udon broths as well! And I am SO glad we did because everything about our experience was seriously a 10/10! From the moment we walked in, the customer service was amazing. The gentleman at the front greeted us and escorted us to our table, and right away we felt welcomed and comfortable. Our server, Quang, was absolutely the sweetest! He was so friendly, outgoing, attentive, and helpful, especially when it came to giving us recommendations since it was our first time there. He had such a positive energy and really made our experience even better. And the FOOD!!! If I could give it 1,000/10, I seriously would. We tried the Ube Cloud, Vietnamese Iced Coffee, Garlic Parmesan Fries, Spicy Shrimp Wontons, Corn Ribs, Garlic Butter Prawns, and Filet Garlic Noodles, and honestly, there wasn't ONE thing we didn't enjoy. Everything was full of flavor and absolutely delicious. But what really stood out to us was that it wasn't just the food -- it was the entire experience. The staff, the atmosphere, the music, and just the overall vibe made us feel so comfortable and welcomed. The music they were playing was amazing too! My friend and I were enjoying ourselves, eating good food, listening to good music, and just having such a great time. The whole place honestly had such a warm, homey feeling to it. When we were leaving, the gentleman who had greeted and seated us earlier ended up having a whole conversation with my friend and me. He was so sweet and personable! He mentioned that they may be opening a location in Culver City, and I told him I really hope they do because that would be much closer to home for me. I was even joking with him that if they open one, they need to bring the whole staff from this location over there too because everyone here was THAT amazing. At the same time, even if there ends up being a location closer to me, I would honestly still make the drive back to this one. When you visit somewhere for the first time and have such a great experience, that location becomes special. You can visit the same restaurant somewhere else, but the people, atmosphere, and experience aren't necessarily going to feel the same. This location definitely left that kind of impression on us. I really hope this review reaches management because the staff here deserves the recognition. Everyone we interacted with was wonderful, and Quang especially took such great care of us. This was our first time at VOX Kitchen, but it DEFINITELY won't be our last. The atmosphere within was calm and comforting, familiar in a way that soothed the soul. In a world filled with noisy feasting halls and chaotic marketplaces, this establishment stood as a peaceful sanctuary where one might rest and enjoy a most noble meal. The serving folk were nothing short of extraordinary. Attentive without hovering, quick of wit, and brimming with personality, they carried themselves with the sort of genuine hospitality that cannot be taught by any guild or academy. Every interaction felt sincere and full of heart. Now, let us speak of the pan-fried gyoza, for I fear words alone may fail to capture its greatness. These glorious parcels arrived golden and crisp upon the outside, yet tender and delicate within. Each bite tasted as though it had been crafted by hand moments before reaching the table. The keepers spoke of their history and journey with such authenticity and pride that one could not help but feel invested in their success. [Missing noodles, expensive ramen, bad customer service, and no reason to come back.]…read more I visited this restaurant to place a to-go order and picked up my food during a late lunch around 1:40 p.m. I ordered two items, including a bowl of tonkotsu ramen. When I got back to work in Santa Ana and opened my bag around 2:30 p.m., my ramen had NO NOODLES. It was literally just broth and toppings. I called the restaurant expecting a simple apology and a reasonable solution. Instead, the manager would not even speak to me directly and chose to communicate through a waiter the entire time, which made the situation even more frustrating. We went back and forth multiple times with the waiter acting as the middleman. First, they told me I could come back and pick up the missing noodles. That was not realistic. I was already back at work, and it takes me about 25 minutes to get from Fountain Valley to Santa Ana. Driving all the way back for a side of noodles made no sense. So I asked for what seemed like the easiest and most reasonable solution: a complimentary bowl of ramen on my next visit. Instead, I was told no, but they could give me "extra noodles" next time. Extra noodles next time? What exactly was that supposed to do for me when I was sitting there hungry with no actual ramen to eat that day? Then the manager, again through the waiter, said she would personally drive noodles to my job. I even told them that did not make sense because by the time she got there, it would be around 4:30 p.m. At that point, my lunch break would be long over, the ramen would be cold, and all of it would be a waste of my time, her time, restaurant resources, and gas. But I agreed, because at that point it was obvious they really did not want to simply offer me a free bowl of ramen on my next visit. And to be clear, I was not asking for some huge free meal. I was asking to be compensated for the ramen I already paid good money for and did not even receive correctly. For how expensive ramen is, that should not have been a difficult ask. About 10 minutes later, the waiter called back and said the manager would give me a free bowl of ramen next time I came in, which was the exact solution I had suggested from the start. I can only assume she realized how far the drive was and how unnecessary and impractical that solution would have been. Mistakes happen. Forgetting the noodles was one thing. But the way this was handled was unnecessarily difficult, inconvenient, and honestly kind of absurd. I did not ask for a refund. I was looking for an apology and some common-sense customer service. Instead, I got a lot of back-and-forth and a manager who would not even speak to me directly. Kudos to the waiter for doing their best to mediate the situation. Even they thought the situation could of been handled differently by the manager. Very disappointing experience. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this place to others based on how this situation was handled.
