The house fried rice was the best I've had in a long time and well worth the price. But I thought the japchae was mediocre and the bulgogi was overpriced so we won't be ordering those dishes anytime soon. We came in the middle of the dinner rush hour but our server did her best to take care of us. Food came out fairly quickly considering the place was packed. So I'm relatively new to bonchon, and I don't yelp much,but during this whole covid crap I was recommended here, and I've been eating here nonstop. Let me just say 10/10 this place is awesome, food is always hot and delicious i just ordered today and it took less than ten minutes. This is a Korean fusion restaurant known for its fried chicken. The chicken thighs are pretty big, the pictures in the menu make them look like wings, but they are thighs and the price reflects that. The garlic chicken tastes buttery and salty. It is worth trying and you may have extra to take home. I also ordered bulgulgi tacos. What you get are three tacos with BBQ flavored meat topped with a pickled mayo type of sauce on toasted flour tortillas. They are quite tasty and worth a try if you don't mind mayo. The service was excellent and the waiter brought out the chicken pieces 5 at a time which is how I realized that I ordered too much and reduced the number of chicken. Thankfully, they didn't finish the second batch yet. I was pleased that they were flexible enough to modify my order. There is ample parking because it is located at a shopping center. The Fried Shrimp Dumplings, crunchy on the outside and moist inside, were drizzled with honey dijon. They were okay, with a very mild flavor, but will not be one of my personal favorites. I ordered a small combo with half garlic-soy and half spicy. I was warned that the spice I 8 of 10 in hotness. The chicken was super crunchy and very moist inside. The sauces were excellent. Both had a sweet flavor an a touch of saltiness. The spicy was just that. I like the half and half option for sweet and spicy. The pickled radish was crunchy and sweet, a great pallet cleanser. My son recommended this Korean Chicken place... And considering the were right next to a major competitor I wondered if they were as good as he raved. We ordered the Drimstick Wing Combo (medium) with the soy garlic (mild) flavoring... Which made the wings almost caramelized in a sweet encased skin friend just right. We also ordered a side appetizer which was great and extremely hot... But the wings were the star of the table. It has been a couple of years since I stopped by this Bonchon for some wings to go. Looking at the menu, I noticed the prices have increased, but I ordered anyway, expecting the crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside wings I remembered from a couple of years ago. When I arrived home and opened the box, the wings looked a bit dry on the outside, but that's the usual for the Korean style wings, however, it seemed that the moister content was double fried out of the wing. I have been waiting for this place to open since I moved to the area in May. I have tried this chain in New York and Fairfax so I knew what to expect and the new location definitely delivered. I do remember the chain being a little bit on the pricey end, but the portions they give are enough to fill you up and leave you with leftovers. The skin is always fried perfectly: crunchy but not oily and the meat is moist. The pickled radish that comes with the half and half combo is a great palate cleanser. Personally, I prefer the soy sauce chicken since I can't handle the spicy one. The flavors sound simple but they are addicting. Note: My boyfriend ordered take out for this branch hence I can't really comment on their staff but I imagine they are equally amazing For my second visit, I decided to try some of their other entrees other than their infamous chicken...which turned out to be a mistake. The salmon avocado ball was a good appetizer but wasn't anything special. It reminded me of something you can order at a typical sushi restaurant. The bulgogi is a sizzling plate of marinated rib eye beef with mixed vegetables. The meat was either not rib eye or it was of really poor quality. The sauce was special and the vegetables were just...well something you could probably whip up at home. I do not recommend ordering this dish, it will ruin your idea of bulgogi, which is actually a really delicious dish if prepared correctly. I have had Bonchon many times before in northern VA (NOVA) at the original locations. I have to say that I'm disappointed in the size of the wings, they were definitely a lot smaller than the Bonchon in NOVA. With that being said, the crispiness and flavor of wings were very good. They were extremely crunchy with every bite. The fries were awesome and on par with the other Bonchon I have been to. The service was great, our waiter Matthew, was very nice and attentive. He frequently checked up on us and water was never below half. Overall, it was a great dine in experience. The only thing I had a concern with was the size of the wings. I have been a Bon Chon fan for years and just love their chicken. The spicy is quite hot which I appreciate. The soy ginger is great for those that don't like things spicy. Good but not as sharp as other Bonchons I've visited. Hard to put my finger on it, but for starters they don't have a booze license so that means you won't be washing those spicy wings down with a beer. I think they are relatively new. The menu seems the same as others, but I can't be certain if it feels more expensive than the last one visited?! The servers were really nice. Mine felt a little "green" and like the other servers looked like they needed more customers. Not a bad thing, but there were 5 servers/staff and like 10 customers. So lots a people standing around. Me thinks they will settle in and it will feel less like a chain-at-the-mall and more like a place I want to eat in a few months. And darn it, start serving beer! read more

This is the worst bonchon I have been to so far. They really need to check out the Centreville location and learn how to cook/do things right. They've been open for a couple years and STILL don't have their liquor license? How ridiculous! The soy garlic wings were extremely salty, and they charge extra if you want more radish! Bonchon has always been my favorite place to go to since the wings are so addicting, but this location lacks in all aspects. The management seems cheap and unwilling to provide good customer service based on the other reviews. Please fix this location. It's giving a bad name to the rest of the bonchons. read more

My son ate one, then started onto his second and realized the second one was spicy and then pulled the top off the third, saw it was spicy too. We told the waiter and she said "you've eaten part of one, so we can only replace the uneaten one." To which we replied "the spicy sauce was in the center so my son ate a portion before realizing it was spicy, plus we're sitting here with close to $100 of food on our table. It has been a while I visited this Bonchon location. I ordered 2 Bulgogi Bibimbap and the pork buns. Bulgogi was too dry. The egg is no longer sunny side up but strips of fried egg. The sauce is no longer the original hot pepper paste. Traditional Korean side dishes veggies are replaced with shredded lettuce, shredded carrot and some kind of steamed shredded cabbage, bean sprouts and diced mushroom. The price went up quite a bit but that is okay, but good taste so under par. That is not cool! No expectation for pork buns since it is not really a Korean dish to begin with. I'm not sure why Bonchon franchisor made the bad move of switching ingredients?! Or simply the local franchisee had no clue what it was supposed to be? Oh! How come there's no kimchi???
