It was clean inside and the girl at the register who took our order was very sweet. The girls on the cook line were in their phone and joking around instead of properly handling orders. The chicken we ordered was not fully cooked on two sandwiches and was quite rubbery. Disgusting. The girls at the cook line took 50 minutes and missed one of our friend's orders. We all finished our food before she even approached them asking what happened to her order. For the sandwiches that turned out ok, mild want spicy enough, and medium is way tooo spicy. Just a heads up, there's no real in between. Update: 4 of the 10 of us who visited got sick from undercooked chicken. DO NOT eat here. The one in Stafford is much cleaner.

I've been to the Crimson Coward twice so far. The staff is always nice and I've had no complaints in regard to the service. The restaurant has a nice vibe and the food doesn't necessarily come the quickest but it's alright. The Chicken Sandwich isn't the best but their fries and burger are absolutely delicious. Their fries are very well seasoned and packed with flavor. If you're trying out the Crimson Coward I'd absolutely recommend their burger and fries combo. Strong 9/10. The spot itself though is a solid 8.

Very large servings. Food was excellent and tasty. Unfortunately I didn't like the Cole slaw. Service was quick and the servers were very attentive. Quiet and cozy with a lot of room.

Same great bangin recipe as the others.. crispy golden fried tenders and wings, hot chicken sandwiches, and super tasty smash burgers (limited time !).. recommend dining in as things cam start sweating and getting soggy on the ride home.... the experience of perfectly crispy gets lost that way !

Their menu was quite large, with hot dogs, cold subs, hot sandwiches, and paninis listed. They also feature a couple soups daily. When we went, they had a loaded baked potato soup and a lobster bisque. The young girl working the front was very happy and helpful and gave some good suggestions too. The place is quaint, with several tables and lots of historic signs on the walls. We started with their baked potato soup - The overall flavor was nice. But the potatoes in it were rubbery, like they used the wrong type of potato or maybe over-cooked it. Also, the soup was just warm, far from being served hot. Next up were the sandwiches - I chose the BBQ chicken sandwich, which had thinly sliced chicken breast on it, along with BBQ sauce, mayo, and onions. The sandwich was pressed, like a panini and was pretty good. I liked the smokiness of the BBQ sauce. I also got a bottle of their homemade root beer and it was pretty good. They serve Route 11 potato chips, which are my favs! So, I had to pick up a bag of Mama Zuma for later - those things are spicey, hot, and tasty! Overall, it's a nice spot, I can see them being a popular lunch spot downtown.

We ended up outside on the patio and pretty much every table we passed on the way out there and on the way back out of the restaurant was completely empty so I was so confused why we couldn't sit inside. The menu is limited at best. I felt there were a ton of classic items you see at most Italian restaurants not offered. Fettuccine Alfredo? Nope. Lasagna? Nope. No choices of sauces and no choices of pasta styles. The sauce is on the sweet side, if you're into that. The pasta didn't taste homemade, but wasn't awful. Service was friendly, people were nice, but I wouldn't come back here if I'm looking for more traditional classic Italian dishes. It was fine to try for a quick afternoon stop.

We decided to pop in for an afternoon date while strolling around downtown on a Thursday afternoon…read more The place was relatively empty, but considering the time frame it could have not been reflective of the food or service. the restaurant is quaint with a simple aesthetic not overdone in the traditional way that Italian restaurants can have of going overboard. There were about ten tables total in the establishment. We were greeted and our waitress did her best to navigate all of our questions. She was friendly enough during our visit, and attentive enough without hovering. We decided on an assortment of items based on our conversation with the waitress about what was made in house versus sourced pre-prepared. The menu is front and back but it is not overwhelming by any means. They have a nod to some Chicago classics by having the Italian beef sandwich and Italian sausage but that is it for the specialities. I thought I saw a Chicago Dog online but sadly, they did not have it on the menu. First up: what we ordered--We got toast as an appetizer, and I got a small Italian salad. My husband got the calamari and I got a fish sandwhich with fries. I don't often finish my food so we decided to share it. I got a sweet tea to drink and my hubby got a gin and tonic. Let me preface this by saying the food was absolutely beautiful. Like picture perfect, but it was certainly a mixture of perfectly cooked items I could pick up at the grocery store I believe. The garlic toast was the frozen toast slices you get from the grocery store (you know in the yellow box) perhaps id imagined crusty bread or something that required effort but alas.... It was cooked perfectly though, so no complaints other than it came with three slices and nothing to dip, so I used some of my husband's marinara sauce and that went perfectly with the dish. I'd recommend asking for some. It seemed homemade if it wasn't and I'm sure would be great on some pasta. The calamari was also perfectly cooked and my husband enjoyed it. The salad was a good portion size and included traditional Italian dressing. Well worth it on that one. The fish sandwhich was just okay. It was fried well but was a basic cod patty and there wasn't enough sauce on the sandwhich to really make it flavorful. The fries do not come with the sandwhich and are an upcharge. They were crispy and semi breaded fries. Again, not bad but not spectacular either. The total for our meal was about $60 and I think that's fair. Pricing on the menu is decent and is certainly reflective of the quality of food you're getting. The ambience of the place supersedes the quality of the food that we got at least in terms of food we ordered. It seems to be a small family owned establishment and I think that is wonderful. Great for a quick bite but I wouldn't expect gourmet. They are excellent at preparing the food though which I'd prefer to homemade but not done right.
