    Seasoned fries and bag charge
    Courtney R.

The food has never disappointed as far as flavor goes. The price is a problem. Seasoned fries will run you an extra dollar even though they don't mention the up charge. They also charge $0.10 for a plastic bag. Also I had to ask for the breakdown as I was only being handed the merchant receipt requesting my signature. While there is a bag charge in Maryland I haven't frequented restaurants that charge it and I always check my receipts. The location is pretty empty. Others are probably not a fan of the pricing either.

    Do you see the problem???

This is the absolute worst bonchon I have ever been to. There is no meat, horrible sauce, cold, undercooked, all breading, cheap chicken, horrible flavor. This place is an absolute embarrassment to what bonchon is. If you want Bonchon, go to Columbia instead... 10x better. This place should go out of business. When I called, there wasn't even a manager there. Dirty restaurant, terrible ambiance. I have been sick as a dog since eating this food. Someone should call the health department.

Came here Wednesday night for some korean fried chicken and end up getting more food so we have something to eat for the next day at the hotel. Everything taste good and great customer service. It looked pretty busy with people coming in and out.

So delicious! The chicken wings were so fried and crunchy! Our waiter was very kind to us and service was fast! The music playlist was so good as well! 10/10

    Bon Chon, I love you..

I'm driving with a buddy in the car and I'm starting to get hungry. I said, what's good around here? We're starting to drive to a typical fast food restaurant and I see like a beacon on a hill, Bon Chon Chicken. I said, have you ever had Korean fried chicken? It's unlike anything you ever experienced. No, he said but I'm willing to try it. That's all I needed to hear as I made a u-turn. Walking inside, the menu is the same as the other Bon Chon Chicken restaurants. You can have your chicken tossed in a soy-garlic sauce, spicy heat sauce as well as plain with no sauce. I walk up to the counter and ask for a 10 piece boneless chicken. 5 Soy glazed and 5 spicy. My side is Korean radishes. It sounds strange but the radish gives the spicy sauce a nice balance of sweet, spicy and sour. My buddy is next and he says BBQ please. No sir, this is Korean style. He locks on and I think he got plain. There is no eating at this establishment so we had our food to go. Once we got back to the office, I opened the Korean radishes. The entire office is like, mmm what's that smell? haha He looks at me after his first bite and gives me a thumbs up. Hanover MD! This is Korean Fried Chicken, under normal circumstances, they want to serve crazy drinks while eating their style of chicken. Just go with it, try the soy garlic if you can't stand the heat while you eat. Bon Chon is pretty big in New York City, give them a try!

I really enjoyed this place!! You walk in and place your order at the counter and then sit down and they will bring you your food (if you decide to eat inside). I got the garlic soy wings and Bull dak. The wings were so delicious! So crispy and full of flavor ! Nice sized wings as well. Bull dak had a little bit of spice to it and some rice. Tasted fresh and good as well. The pork buns were good. Bread was soft and warm and a nice slab of meat inside with slaw on top. I got my meal with the pickled radish and I would love to eat those with every meal! I can't wait to come back to eat here again.

Following up... wellp.this isn't Korean fried chicken. These are boneless from Wingstop at twice the price(AND THIS WAS THEIR LUNCH SPECIAL, their BEST value). Please do not order from here, if you want to go to a Bonchon go to the Columbia one. I couldn't stop eating the Columbia lunch special when I was there, and was sad when I was finished. This one I'm literally sad I paid money for it. Service is ok; the one guy at the front was fine, since the restaurant was empty anyway. A bit of a greasier store than the Columbia one too. Bonchon, this is a REALLY BAD reflection of your store. Pic included; I'll take a comparison pic of the other store and leave it on a review of that one later. I'm never coming here again. Fool me once shame on you, Fool me twice shame on me. I was the fool this time. There will not be a next time.

Food was very good. the chicken, zucchini and shrimp were very crispy and fried ro perfection.froed rice was tasty. Portion sizes were decent. Everything came out piping hot! I would eat here again!

Very clean interior with speedy service. Spicy fried drums, soy garlic chicken tacos, garlic parm fries, and the donut were all great. Loved most of the dipping sauce options provided and the portion sizes seemed reasonable for the price

The customer service was ok but we had to throw away our food. I ordered 16 wings and they came coated in a thick breading with no seasoning/flavor whatsoever. They weren't even recognizable as a chicken wings.. The inside was just this doughy breading and chicken fat. Not sure what went wrong but I won't be coming to this location again.

We were seated immediately in a booth that comfortably fit our party of seven. The atmosphere was relaxed, quiet, and welcoming, which made it easy to enjoy dinner and conversation. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly and efficient. We ordered our drinks, and they were at the table in what felt like less than 30 seconds. It honestly seemed like our server turned around after taking the order and another staff member was already coming around the corner with our drinks. I ordered the whole bone in soy garlic fried chicken, which came with a fresh salad. The chicken was everything Korean fried chicken should be. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. The soy garlic glaze was absolutely incredible. It had the perfect balance of sweet and savory while still letting the crunch of the chicken come through. The rest of our table ordered two curry chicken rice bowls, a spicy chicken rice bowl, pork soft tofu soup, the Kongbination, plus edamame and fried dumplings to share. Every dish that came to the table looked photo worthy. The presentation was outstanding, and the food tasted every bit as good as it looked. One thing that really stood out was the portion sizes. Kong Pocha definitely doesn't skimp on food. Every plate and bowl was generously portioned, and almost everyone left with leftovers to enjoy the next day. The only small downside was the beer prices. Around $11 for a Sapporo and $7 for an Asahi felt a little high, but honestly, the quality of the food, the generous portions, and the overall experience more than made up for it. Parking was easy during our visit. The shopping center has a decent sized lot, although I could see it getting a little tight if all of the neighboring businesses were busy. It wasn't an issue for us. Whether you're a longtime fan of Korean food or trying it for the first time, Kong Pocha is a great choice. It's perfect for families, groups, date nights, or anyone looking for authentic Korean food with generous portions and excellent service. We left full, took home leftovers, and were already talking about what we'll order the next time we come back.

So I got up to get some cream puffs and as I about to sit down, the mouse came back and I told Andrew and he got the broom and dust pan and caught the mouse and killed it and proceeded to have us pay. This is what really ticked me off. I went to the front before we left and asked to speak to a manager. The girl looked and then looked over at her friend (who probably wasn't the manager) and said here she is. I told her what happened and she said "yeah sorry, we have someone coming next week and he didn't kill the mouse, he let the mouse go right outside". SERIOUSLY? That mouse is coming right back inside! This is a problem that pest control needs to come out IMMEDIATELY! I just watched a mouse get killed/caught while trying to eat! I stopped and lost my complete appetite. I will be informing the PG county health department immediately and I will never come back here if this is how they operate. The experience is enjoyable and the food is always good, however, the shellfish can be a little 'fishy' at times. They also have changed the layout a lot over a very short period of time. For instance, closer to opening you could self serve on some of the non-meat items. Now all that remains is the sauce/hot bar and ice cream cooler. The real issue and why I don't give this place a better review is that the server turnover is unreal. We typically go once a month and have never seen or had the same server twice. On our last visit, we ended up with someone who admitted to being brand new who decided to card a grey haired old man (me). I asked for a manager who wasn't much older that our server and they refused on principle because I challenged them; they also ignored my ask for a general or senior manager. You can debate the principle of having your age verified on any number of points, but when someone is clearly multiples older than 21, the principle falls away and the insult to intelligence begins to set in. I emailed the Gmail account associated with their contact form over a week ago and never got a response, which at this point, is my primary complaint and a point for people to take note of should they run across a situation where they try to reach out to leadership. Much like most places, it's luck of the draw and we got a really lousy draw last time, but honestly the service is somewhat lackluster. They have these tablet devices they want you to use, but you have to first have them be enabled by your server and then it's hit or miss as to when they will return to check in (presumably because we can order some things on the tablet, but not incidentals like a fork or a spoon, etc.) YMMV.

My main reason for four stars and not five is I think they could do better with their gluten free friendly options. One side of the menu was clearly marked for gluten free options while the other side wasn't, making it a hassle to flip back and forth and figure out what I could eat. Despite having quite a few gluten free options, they didn't have any gluten free soy sauce (or tamari). This would've really taken the meal to the next level as the gluten free meats come without any marination and are very very plain on their own. We also ordered large combo for 5-6 people which had a good amount of meats and sides but was supposed to come with six servings of rice. We never received the rice but weren't provided a reason or a discount. I'd return in the future but probably smuggle in my own personal bottle of tamari so I could enjoy the flavors of the meat more. Overall, the price at $215 for six of us (plus drinks) was pretty good, regardless of these small hiccups.
