The wings here are pretty good they just have a problem with consistency so you never really sure if you're going to get great wings or not. but they do have a new menu and I'm excited to try that. Also the bartender there is awesome. read more

I love their wings and drumsticks. The hot ones are very hot - too hot for my taste, but others love them. The soy/garlic ones are incredible. I love the crispiness on the outside and the sauce is garlicky and savory. I've also had their glass noodles, fried rice, and beef bulgogi - all delicious. This is my first time here! Conveniently next to the movie theater, I decided to take a chance. Looking at the menu I ordered 10 wings , french fries, and , ginger ale. Not authentic and doesn't truly represent Korean food. However, if you want a chain American version of Korean food, here it is. The Kimchi taste like it was put in a sweet ketchup sauce. Terrible. The concern is, persons that have never eaten Korean food miss the beauty of it eating here. My experience, it's more of a "wings and fries" place, or a version of "TGI Fridays" with an Asian Spin. Stopped in first time before catching a movie next door. Great location for a quick beer and bite pre or post movie. Luckily it was Happy Hour so I had a 1 Liter Goose IPA for $6.95...looked like Octoberfest! Wife had bulgogi tacos and I had the spicy chicken ones...both were great! Excellent service! About $32 for two big beers and orders of delicious tacos. Would definitely stop in again either before or after a movie. I think you get a discount with a movie ticket stub. Don't worry about the Pajama Boy's who say the area is "scary"...it is perfectly safe! Been coming to this area for years with no problems. read more

I heard about this place through a co-worker who knew I lived in S. Korea while in the military. This place is definitely a keeper. The bulgogi was on point and some of the best I have ever had. The yaki mandu (fried dumplings) took me back to Teagu and Youngsong, South Korea. And the wings were super crispy and awesomely flavored. I absolutely love Bon Chon and had both of my sisters loving it too, but I had an unfortunate experience today at The location in Hyattsville. I placed an order to take out and while I was waiting, I went to the bathroom and saw mouse dropping and a mouse trap in the bathroom. I was shocked. I had not experienced anything like that before. Needless to say I requested a refund and left. This was my second time ordering from this location and am very sadden by this experience. I will stick with the location in Southeast DC. read more

Really inexpensive and incredibly tasty Korean fried chicken and so much more. Three of us split wings, octopus dumplings (very fishy but good), kimchi pancakes (yummy), beef sliders and Korean tacos (both delish). Good strong margarita. Very efficient server. I really hope they do well in that spot as we look forward to returning again and again. read more

I attended the location in Waldorf, Md. For a first time experience I can say the food was very good. I ordered the Japchae and the noodles were cooked just right, seasoned just right. I would go back. NOW...the server was inexperienced...I would think you'd bring everyone water even though one asked. She didn't make any suggestions or pitch a dish to entice. She forgot one item on our order. We mentioned it to her and she really had forgot...so we just said forget about it (and the place wasn't crowded). This location doesn't serve alcohol yet. Again, I'd go back...but they do need to train servers better read more

Very slow service at 10pm even when there were almost no customers. Table cloth was wet from previous customers and not cleaned or changed. Order of combo wings and drumsticks were wrong and we only received wings but waitress was friendly and later corrected. Food was okay though. read more

Horrible. Walked in - noticed that bar was full of dirty dishes. Said hello to hostess - no response from her, b/c she was busy rubbing her right middle finger against the table to wipe yucky-stuff off her finger instead of going to the bathroom to wash her hands. I should have turned around right then. Ordered Kimchi Pancake Trio and ginger beer. Horrible. Just thinking about gets my stomach turning. The glass full of ice had a bug in it. Thankfully, the ginger beer I ordered was brought to me still in its unopened can. The pancakes -- o h m y g o o d n e s s ! Horrible. Greasy. Dead. Horrible. I told the server exactly how I felt about the pancakes and he said -- you are right -- they should be crispy - and then said that he would tell the cook they need to improve that dish. When I left, I smiled and said -- thank goodness -- I know how to cook and I like cooking! My first time having BonChon was at this Hyattsville location about two weeks ago. The soy garlic wings did not have enough sauce and I was not impressed. Last week, I decided to try the BonChon in Arlington and my oh my was it a big difference! The soy garlic wings were amazing and had a good amount of sauce on them! Last night, I decided to give the Hyattsville location a second chance. The wings were still the same and although I asked for extra sauce, it barely had any sauce on it. From now on, I will take the extra 30 minute drive to BonChon in Arlington! Unfortunately, the Hyattsville location needs some work. read more

First try @bonchon in Hyattsville, and that's it. We won't come again. Under its deep fry coating, the chicken is absolutely blend. The takoyaki has the texture of an old tire wrapped in unseasoned oatmeal and deep fry. The salmon avocado ball was more acceptable, but nothing memorable. I was shocked -- the wings and fried chicken here are amazing. Lunch specials are a good value and come with plenty of food, but if you want a LOT of food, they're willing to help you out with that. As is the case in any large-scale disaster, I'm not exactly sure how to start describing my traumatic experience at BonChon. I'll start with the waiter- I think his name was Buck Lau. A natural born mouth-breather and common ignoramus, Buck Lau's speech demanded a translator. He messed up both orders at my table and was generally inattentive. Thank god I was seated near a water pitcher station as I took it upon myself to refill my table's water. This was mostly to prevent me from actually dying from the Korean hot sauce. I consider myself a connoisseur of sauces, but this just felt like the Baltimore police were emptying a mace can into the back of my throat. I was crying. The wings don't come with blue cheese or any traditional dipping sauce but rather are paired pickled radishes. I can't make this stuff up people. The last time I knew someone who would put a pickled radish near their mouth was never. The chicken was crispy to a fault, it was just fried papery skin jibblets of bear mace. Whatsmore, the chicken wings themselves where extremely old. They were clearly previously frozen, and the bones would kind of disintegrate into a sort of black ask-like material when handled... I would be shocked if the birds were slaughtered in 2015. My friend ordered seafood fried rice, which left much to be desired. Although more edible than the chicken wings, I would think twice before feeding it to a dog even. Overall BonChon is, in my humble opinion, the epitome of everything that's wrong in America today. Had the Bulgogi and Kimchi. Great tasting and service was great. I recommend this place to anyone who wants good, Korean food.

The brown rice was horrible no flavor and extremely sticky couldn't even eat it. Got the potstickers, store policy not to be able to have the sauce on the side completely ridiculous. I would have much preferred to add as much or little sauce as I prefer because the soy ginger sauce was really over powering. I will not be eating here again your food sucks. read more

If you're looking for authentic Korean cuisine, perhaps it's not the best location. However, this place has decent food. We got the tacos, japchae, and bibimbap. Everything was fine, the service was a little slow. I'll give three stars because they were really courteous and kept making sure our cab was on its way. read more

So we came thinking it would be really good because of the reviews. Eh, not so much. The Salmon ball appetizer was good, it's very much on the sweet side. The wings were Really fried, meaning hard coating fried. The flavor was fine, if you get spicy be prepared for real spicy. Shrimp Shumai appetizer was also good. I had the Bulgogi sliders, they were good but not $10 good. You get three sliders with no sides. There's not enough beef to make it 10 bucks worth, it's more bread. My friend got the Bibimbob, she said at $14 it was a bit pricey because it includes no sides or extra sauces as you would at other Korean places. It comes with a fried egg on top, it was cooked over-hard though the menu said raw. She said usually the egg is cooked over-easy so that the yoke can mix with the veggies and rice. She said if this was her first time having it she wouldn't be ordering it again. Overall the experience was OK. The service was fine and our server was very attentive. It has a sports bar feel. But next time I crave Korean, this won't be the place I think of. read more
