I tried these fries in the restaurant but took my food togo. As you can see the cheese was not melted. The manager had good customer service but idk what's going on in the kitchen. The fries were cold but had a good flavor. They needed more sauce and some heat but my kids enjoyed eating them after I reheated it at home. I've been to a Bonchon location when I lived in San Jose years ago, and I don't recall being wowed. However, I recently read an article that raved about their sticky, Korean-style wings, so grabbed an order of takeout while in the area. Ultimately, I'm left with mixed feelings. Bone-in wings are the way to go. Boneless wings are chicken nuggets, and you're better than that. They also offer drumsticks, but these were on the dry side and heavily battered. The wings were hot and juicy, cooked all the way through, and crispy. I prefer a saucier wing but these were very well prepared. I got half and half, soy caramel and spicy garlic. As I made my way through the order, I didn't have a flavor preference- didn't love or hate either. It feels like something is missing to be eating wings without dipping them, but that may just be my own preference. Orders here are sided with coleslaw or cabbage, neither of which I really care for. I do wish they offered japchae as a side but it is only available as a $12 entree. Fries are also an option, but only as a separate order. read more

Bonchon Chicken is one of my favorite places to get fried chicken in Las Vegas. What makes this Korean fried chicken so amazing is how perfectly cooked the chicken is. It has this amazing crunch combined with their delicious soy garlic sauce that makes for a delicious experience. We got the medium combo, which is 10 wings and 5 drums and a side of seasoned fries. It also came with pickled radishes. It was more than enough food for the two of us with leftovers to take home. Service was decent, and the place feels decently clean. Over the last year it has gotten worse and worse. We used to love this place. Our top takeout place. They used to have decent size quantities for the pricer price and flavor was on point. But recently each time it is more of a disappointment. So sad! You can see the little strips with barely any meat and the fried rice isn't even half full! So much empty space in the container. The box is smaller for chicken pieces too and price is $$$! If your gonna spike the price atleast give enough food! But sadly the taste isn't flavorful anymore. My husband and I have been craving Korean fried chicken since we got back from South Korea a few months ago. We liked the name and wanted to try somewhere new and we are THRILLED we did. Bonchon has THE BEST korean fried chicken we've had in the states, hands down. It was extra crispy, flavorful and the side serving of pickled radish was perfect. We also ordered the bulgogi fries and the meat was tender, juicy and packed with flavor as well. It was also great that this is a smaller restaurant because our food came out piping hot which has been a rarity these days. We had a nice young man as our waiter, his recommendations were great. This is my overwhelming favorite place for Korean Fried Chicken, particularly for the strips. The chicken breast is thinly sliced, double fried, and slathered in soy garlic sauce (other sauce options are available, I also as for extra sauce). Once you bite into a piece, it gives you the most satisfying crunch and the soy garlic flavor bursts into your mouth. I typically order takeout and the crunch lasts for the drive home and beyond! My husband enjoys their wings which is also delicious. It goes well with their sides, but I usually just opt for plain white rice and the pickled radish. Service is consistently great! Totally empty at Lunch. Should have been a red flag. But I like Bonchon, where I'm from in Philadelphia, it's really good. And very popular. This location had the worst chicken I had ever tried. The soy garlic sauce was trash. It tastes like plastic mixed with cooking oil. The staff were attentive and very fast. I love that. And the two dudes working the front executed their job and were helpful. I'm docking the location for service not because of them, but because they didn't allow extra sauce on the side. You had to get it poured on again. That makes no sense at chicken restaurant. You should always be allowed to get the sauce on the side. The chicken on the inside had absolutely no flavor, like there using steroid loaded chicken that is huge but terrible natural flavor. It didn't taste like chicken. Bonchon had been on my bucket list for the past couple of years and recently, I finally got the opportunity to try this place for lunch and see why everyone wants to go to it. It originated in California and they opened this location for a while. Although it was my first time here, it will be my last time at this place. When we got there, we were seated promptly and choose to sit near the back. This place is much smaller than I expected it to be but that didn't affect my experience at all, so I wouldn't recommend this for big groups. We ordered a 10 piece with 2 sauces for 5 chickens each, Soy Garlic and Sweet Crunch. We also got zucchini fries as well on the side. It took a while to receive our foods (15 minutes) but I understand them. When we got our zucchini fries, we didn't expect them to look like that since we expected a long fry shape but we still ate it anyway. The flavor was good but the zucchini itself had no tasted and it wasn't crunchy as well sadly. When we got our chicken, it looked really nice and had a good texture and plating to it. The soy garlic flavor had mediocre flavor and chewy texture while the Sweet crunch flavor honestly tasted awful. The best I can say is that it tasted like cherries and was also soft as well, which should be happening because it's a Korean FRIED chicken. The service was OK, they checked up on us occasionally but it was only once after we received our meal to give us our check... We did ask them to split our bill but apparently, you put both credit cards in and they will do it for us?? Our experience was just okay. Ordering was quick and the place wasn't busy so finding a table was easy. I was surprised how small it is on the inside. The restaurant was clean but the bathrooms could use a little cleaning. The two people working the front were also just okay. They weren't unfriendly but they also weren't pleasant. The order came in spurts. The bulgogi fries came out first and that was just okay. The French fries were crispy but I felt 75% of the fries ended up not getting any toppings or sauce on it. The marinated on the beef was only just okay. Nothing special. The chicken took awhile, probably 20 minutes but I would guess that's okay so that the chicken gets cooked thoroughly. Once the chicken came, it came out hot, crisp and well cooked. The soy glaze had a great flavor balance. The side of radish was what you would expect. But the extra side of coleslaw we bought was underwhelming. To add to that, when the server was bringing it to us, his finger was touching the side of the actual coleslaw which I found off putting. The tteokbokki was not my favorite. The sauce was not good. No depth of flavor. Like they took gochujang mixed it with water and called it a day. Not good at all. Nothing much was over the top amazing about the chicken and I actually enjoyed the udon a lot more, although the sides weren't very special either. The food and atmosphere were a Goldilocks situation- not too hot, not too cold, but just right for a casual dining place like this. There was only one person working the register and serving the tables, but he still provided great service. The food also came out at a decent pace and the inside is a bit small, but there is plenty of spots for outdoor dining. Overall, this was not a dining experience that I regret, but it just didn't fulfill the expectations I had for Korean fried chicken. Bonchon's Soy Garlic flavored wings are one of my favorite wings spot in my area! It is conveniently close to my work, so I order and pick up chicken wings from here quite often. The food is always great, the crisp on the chicken and the soy garlic flavor is so addicting! I have tried the spicy ones as well, but I enjoy the Soy Garlic flavor more. I usually order before 3:00PM for their lunch special. The hostesses here are also very friendly, they even take down your number and call you when the food is ready for pick, I think that's a great service touch. I do think that the price are a little high. I wish it was just a little cheaper, it's quite over-priced compared to other chicken wings restaurants. That's where I took 1 star off.
