    ambiance inside

Bon Chon is a Korean Fried Chicken chain and this location is in the Leesburg town center. The ambiance inside is casual and the owner was accommodating as well. There's plenty of seating inside but it's a better place to order takeout. The food was brought out quickly and the dining in experience was okay. The strips were too spicy and the food was a bit expensive but this is a relaxed place to hang out with a friend in Leesburg.

Service was attentive and very friendly. The host and the manager came by to see how everything was going. The food was all hot and flavorful. I ordered the soy chicken tacos and they were a nice size. Not tiny like I thought they'd be. If you don't really like soy sauce, don't get them. The ambiance was cool. It's not a big place, majority of the orders were to go. My tacos came out about 15 min after my family's food which wasn't ideal but we had appetizers so I wasn't there watching them eat. Parking can be scarce but we lucked up on a park right out front.

Thought I would give this place a try during some business travel. It looks to be located in a high end shopping plaza. Given the posh environment, I was a little taken aback to enter a completely empty restaurant at 7 pm on a Tuesday night. Other than two hosts I was the only person in the front of the restaurant. Decor is sparse and the floor was unusually sticky concrete. Be prepared for lots of K-Pop which I guess fits. I decided to start with the fried octopus Takoyaki appetizer. This wasn't quite what I expected. It was quite gooey, and not an entirely enjoyable texture. (Hot snot?) But I found it grew on me a bit and I did eat it all. That said I would probably skip it in the future. Nothing against the restaurant, it just wasn't wonderful for me. Then I followed it up with a small wings (10) split between soy garlic and spicy. This was my first time trying Korean fried chicken. I think 10 wings was a bit much for me, though I admit I ate 9. A small with 6 or 8 would be more welcome. The soy garlic was pleasant but the spicy was just a little too much heat over time. The wings came with coleslaw which provided some much needed cooling after the heat of the wings. I think, in the end, I would have enjoyed the wings more without any sauce. They had a nice crisp and flavor to them. The two sauces were good but I don't think I'd seek them out again, either. I did watch 4 people come in for takeout and one group of 3 arrived before I finished. Not a good start to an evening for this business. No real complaints from me but no real excitement either. I tried it, but likely won't come back. 3.5 rounds to a generous 4.

One of the few tasty bargain Korean restaurants around, especially in Loudoun County.

Last Sunday I came here to grab a bite to eat. I walked in and waited at the host stand but no one came. I called out. No response. I look towards the bar and in the back is a child watching tv and eating rice and chicken. Lol I look at the kid. The kid looks back at me. Lol I walk further back and call out. At this point, I'm hungry and cranky so I walk into the kitchen. Finally I find someone and she says someone will be out momentarily. By the time I walk back to the front another customer has come in to check on their order and an employee comes up behind me to take my order. I order a little of everything and it was all fresh. It took about 20 minutes since I assume everything is made to order. I would come back but this was honestly the strangest encounter I've had at a restaurant in a while. It was so wild. Lol

I really want to love this Bon Chon but it just falls short. My buddy and I came in to grab lunch to go this weekend. When we walked in it was empty which was surprising for lunch time on a weekend. We went up to the counter to order and my shoe got stuck on the carpet. It was so stuck that I thought that I had gum on my shoe. Once I got my foot up I realized the carpet was soaked with something super sticky. I ordered boneless wings and he got bone in wings with a side of fried rice. We asked if we could get extra sauce on the side and then I think the owner told us no but he could have them put on extra sauce on the wings. We both thought that sounded perfect! Once we got back to my place we both were disappointed that our wings were almost free of seasoning sauce. If you look at the picture there is no sauce on the paper in the box. If this is extra sauce I would hate to see what regular looks like. Needless to say I'll go to the sports place down the street to get my wings as this place doesn't seem to want to make the customers experience to be worth while from the sticky mat to my dry wings.

Food was 3/5 I thought it was very salty so it wasn't very enjoyable to eat. We also ordered the soy garlic pork potsticker and it was insanely salty. Service was superb as I needed my water refilled every 3 minutes since the saltiness made me thirsty. I do like how they give a complimentary Andes chocolate mint candy with your check.

Way to go new management Bonchon! I immediately noticed brighter lighting which helped tremendously since my previous dining experiences at Bonchon. My favorite renovation/update was the kids area! My little one was distracted pulling and going through the books and I was able to order/wait/enjoy my meal for a solid 30 minutes. Mild potstickers - their signature sauce was fairly sweet Tofu bibimbap - all the toppings were fresh and delicious. I'll pass on the quinoa next time. Loved the seaweed and egg topping the most! + brighter lighting + open concept + kids area with dining area, books, tv + hard cover menu with visually pleasing layout and photos of their signature dishes

We came to this location last weekend, during the Christmas Tree Lighting at the Village of Leesburg. We were pleasantly surprised to see that it was open (after having seen it closed from prior visits to the area), & my Mom, who LOVES Bonchon, suggested we go there for dinner & off we went. Let me just say, that I was a little hesitant at first because previous reviews of the location weren't exactly forthcoming (READ: those were all reviews from when it was under OLD MGMT & then they closed) but any doubts I had were all dashed when we entered through the door. My family & I were greeted v warmly & got seated right away. Having two toddlers in tow, my husband & I were so excited to see that this Bonchon has a space specifically set aside in the back for small children; it had two tables (one that seats 4 kids, the other probably around 6?), a TV playing kids' movies / shows, & a children's bookshelf containing some toys & board books available for poring through. It was also located RIGHT by where we were seated, which made it amazing. My boys loved it & stayed busy & entertained. Our server's name was Kendall, & he was AMAZING-- he was sweet, had such positive energy, all smiles, & was v accommodating & helpful from the get-go. He always checked in on us, asking questions & making suggestions, & made sure that my family & I had everything we needed throughout our meal. He also made sure to check in on our boys as well, which was A+++. We ordered seasoned fries, zucchini fries, soy garlic chicken & chicken fried rice (for my Mom). Everything was DELICIOUS & came out piping hot & fresh! My mom loved her dish (well, we enjoyed everything tbh) & highly recommended we try it-- it was so good TODAY'S VISIT// Food & service from our first visit was so, so good that we came back for the Grand Opening again today (a full week later)! They had a 5 wings for $1 deal for the first 500 people, & our experience was lovely, quieter (just the husband & I this time), & everything was just as great as before! // Other things to note // * Atmosphere: family-friendly, not too loud (you can actually have conversations in this space without needing to shout at whoever you're with), & they play football games / sports on the TVs * Bathroom: (women's) super clean & fresh * Management: v helpful & present on the floor w the rest of her team Overall: 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Go visit the "new" location, & ask for KENDALL (you'll totally make his day if you enter & scream "FEE-HEE-HEEEENY" Boy Meets World style, just FYI)

Chances are low if you try their fried chicken. If you adventure to seafood or other "fancier" items, you might get disappointed. My point is - this is a fried chicken place. True, if you are big and tall, the seats could be a little too challenging. Their services are just great though.

They don't cook their chicken as well as the Bon Chon in South Riding, but they are good otherwise.

The menu was very extensive serving Japanese and Korean dishes. I started off with the Yellow Tail Collar for my appetizer. I was excited when I saw the size of the portion being served to me. Although, it was very dry which was a let down. It was also a bit bland as well. For my main dish I got a rice bowl, an unagi bowl to be exact. Again, it was just adequate. Thankfully the bowl was a generous amount of food. Sadly, it was just a bit one dimensional and I got tired of eating it after awhile. Also, I felt like the bones were a little more pronounced than what I am use to when eating eel. Therefore, my experience was average. I may give it another shot if I am in the area again.

Attached is a picture of the what the Lion King Roll is supposed to look like and what we received. The crab meat on top looks like a spaghetti. The end pieces of the roll (that didn't have the tail) were all avocado and not even a little shrimp, I know that skimping out on the ends is normal but no shrimp at all is ridiculous. After eating two pieces my stomach has been hurting for the last 7 hours. The last time we got lunch from here the rolls we normally love did not taste the same, but at least they didn't get us sick so we thought maybe it was unlucky. They need to fire whoever is making the rolls during lunch because this quality control is terrible.

From the moment we walked in, Jackie made us feel incredibly welcome. His genuine hospitality made it feel less like dining at a restaurant and more like being invited over for a traditional, home-cooked Korean meal. Having traveled and dined in Seoul many times, I really appreciated how authentic everything tasted. Every dish was freshly prepared and full of the bold flavors that I expect in Korean cuisine. One of my biggest pet peeves is when restaurants water down Tteok Bokki until it tastes like sweetened tomato paste. Gogi Go Go absolutely nailed it. The spice profile had the right amount of heat, and the rice cakes had the perfect chewy texture. The Pajeon was loaded with fresh vegetables and beautifully cooked, with a crisp exterior and tender center. The BBQ bowls have generous portions and the Bul Dak sauce was packed with flavor. Their Kimchi was delicious as well and tasted very fresh. A surprise of the night was the soy garlic wings. Since Gogi Go Go doesn't really market themselves as a Korean fried chicken restaurant, we ordered this with fairly low expectations. I definitely underestimated them. They arrived piping hot, perfectly crispy, generously coated in sauce without becoming soggy, and were well sized. They honestly rival, and in fact surpass, some of the dedicated Korean fried chicken spots we've seen come and go in the area. As someone who's a long time Ashburn resident, I remember when there were very few authentic Korean restaurants nearby, and to experience a good one meant driving to Fairfax or Centreville. It's exciting to see that changing in recent years, and Gogi Go Go is a fantastic addition. Their authentic, home-style dishes really hit the mark. There's lots of variety in the menu and you're sure to find something you'll love. The atmosphere is casual enough for an everyday meal (we had just come from the gym), yet the level of hospitality makes you feel like a welcomed guest rather than just another customer (that quality can be hard to find and truly makes this place special). Highly recommend giving this locally owned (not a chain) restaurant a try. We'll definitely be back!

However, they do a good takeout business, as we noticed several people come in to pick up their orders. Before coming here, we looked at their menu. Thus, we knew what we wanted when we got here. Service was great. The staff here is friendly and efficient. Our server checked on us more than once during our meal. To drink, my husband ordered a Kirin Light beer while I ordered a glass of plum wine. Some Japanese places fill the glass too high, but here, the portion size was reasonable. I ordered "the poke bowl". I chose salmon for my fish. This bowl consists of "Sushi-grade fish topped with vegetables, mixed with poke sauce over a choice of mixed greens or rice". I chose the rice. Before coming here, I looked up "poke sauce." I found a website called "pokebowlny.com." This is the description they gave: "traditional poke sauce blends soy sauce, sesame oil, and often rice vinegar, along with aromatics like garlic and ginger. This classic combination makes the fish taste fresher, the vegetables more vibrant, and the rice more flavorful." The vegetables in the bowl were kernel corn, seaweed salad, and cucumbers. I really enjoyed having this meal! All the flavors worked well together. I look forward to having it again. Along with the poke bowl, a bowl of miso soup is included. That, too, was quite good, and it came to the table quite warm. My husband ordered "Tuna Don," which consists of "fresh tuna sashimi over rice & vegetables. His entrée came with both miso soup and a small side salad. The bowl had a big slice of radish, some seaweed salad, and the usual shredded daikon. The wasabi was really spicy - he could feel it in his nose and sinus cavity - it'll take your head off. The generous portion of tuna was large with thicker slices than he'd ever seen before.
