If you like a clean dining room and an organized wait staff, this is not the place for you. The good chicken is almost not worth the surroundings. The wait staff cleans tables as they need them. The food was great! We ordered chicken wings, bulgogi some fries and popcorn chicken for the kids! Taste was on point for everything! The service on the other hand was AWFUL! Half of our parties food didn't even come out at all! We had to repeatedly ask and check on the status of our food order they kept telling us "10 more minutes" they brought our checks out without the food arriving and still had charged the others who hadn't received their food! We asked for them to remove the food off of the bill since we hadn't even touched our food and the owner said well it's here now! We asked for it to be put in a Togo box and he refused to discount or just give the food and laughed at the guests who didn't get their food and said "you expect me to give you the food" he gave the food after his wife told him to do so. One of the guest mentioned that he should have a talk with his cook staff cause several other paying customers were without food just like we were! This was my first time here at Bon Chon and I had the Lunch Special for $6.95 which was the TWICE fried Soy Garlic Wings & my choice of a side was white rice. 6 wings it came with. After finishing my first Wing I didn't get that real bread & crispy taste as you would expect with just a regular wing say from the Chegg out in Jersey (where I'm from). For having Korean chicken for the first time I did enjoy my lunch and would recommend this place I also will be back for more wings!! read more

The food is prepared and tastes the same as the other Bonchon locations: delicious. If fried chicken isn't your thing, there is a nice selection of other entrees you can choose. I had the chicken house fried rice, and it was DELICIOUS. It's definitely a step above fast food fried rice and had actual fresh vegetables in it (as opposed to dehydrated frozen veggies and dry meat). Food comes out quick. I love the food here. The chicken is so crispy its like glass. They use just enough sauce to give it excellent flavor without losing any crispiness. I love the spicy, but be warned its hot!! Hungry, but tired of leftover turkey we happened to be walking by Bon Chon today. (In the Village of Leesburg, VA) We went in and picked up the menu, when we saw "Kimchi" on the back of the menu - we knew we were staying! We ordered potstickers, bibimbap, bulgogi and of course kimchi. The server was very attentive, the food came out piping hot! I had the bulgogi. I'm a very picky eater and I can say the beef was high quality and all the food was very clean and fresh. I'm going to order the bibimbap next time. That looked really good too. There are so many dishes I'm looking forward to tasting here! You can get extra spicy sauce or mild. Bon Chon (Korean) food is definitely going to be on my future menu! We'll be back! read more

I preordered my wings for the Super Bowl from this BonChon location, and it was by far some of the best chicken I have ever had! A buddy of mine recommended these wings. I am truly happy with my decision. Everyone at my party were impressed and said they would pick some up for other major events (4th of July, etc). I even returned to have a sit down meal at the bar, and I noticed the bartender was the same guy who greeted/helped me place my order for Super Bowl. Don't remember his name, but he has short hair and tattoos on his right arm. Real friendly guy! I ordered the Chicken Katsu, and once again, I was very pleased with the flavor and portion. I love bonchon chicken and even goes as far as Centreville to get my fix. I was glad to hear that the Leesburg bonchon opened under new management and hoping it will be a better experience and they would have learned a lot from the previous mismanagement. But. Not a good first experience, we called for a takeout (knowing that it takes a while to prepare the chicken) and Amanda (the manager) who answered the phone said it will be ready within 30 mins. After 30 mins, Went there with my daughter to pickup, plus after several attempts of inquiring about our order, and 25 mins later Amanda gave us our food and has the guts to say that she added extra radish for the inconvenience. Btw, great food but hopefully, they will improve their old issue of customer service. Their excuse is it's their grand opening but the restaurant is not even full and they should have been more upfront when we called that the wait is longer. I hope that the owner will see this as constructive since I really want a good bonchon In Leesburg. read more

Wow. I rarely complain about service. I've been a server so I understand how things are, but our experience at this place was probably one of the worst service experiences I've ever had. The place had two other tables sat when we walked in. It took us an hour to get our food. The waiter had no idea what was on the menu. Maybe it was his first day because he had no idea what he was doing. We had to ask multiple times for things like napkins, soy sauce, and water (water took about 20 min to come out). The food was ok. The worst part was that our four year old daughter was given the spicy sauce with her (bland and dry) chicken. She took a whole big scoop and then started shaking because it hurt her. The waiter apologized and told us the sauces aren't labeled. Ummm. Ok. My four year old got burned so maybe you should label that shit. Use this place for takeout only and for the fried chicken only. The service is crap. After u get your food, if you dine in, your server will go to the bar and play on his/her phone and not check on you ever again. So when u need to pay or you are dying of thirst you need to go hunt down your server. Also the floor is slippery as ice when wet because of the material it's made of. My wife and i have almost fallen on our way to the bathroom on separate occasions because of spilled water on the floor, which they do not put a "wet floor" marker next to to alert you. This is by far the best Bonchon I had. I would say the chicken and hot foods in Leesburg are better than other bonchons. They had a bad start but they're are improving with both the servers and the food. My personal favorite is the bull dak. It comes out sizzling with a side of rice but it is very spicy. I had some wings to go as well and they stayed crispy and delicious even after about six hours. The chicken katsu is also very good. It comes with spicy mayo and katsu sauce drizzled on it with rice underneath the chicken as well as some vegetables. If you want good service and wonderful food I advise to come to Leesburg Bonchon because it's worth the drive. read more

I thought I would give them one more try as they are so much closer to me than the other locations, but it was still the same. The taste/ seasoning is there but the crunch is not. By far the worst bonchons I've ate at so far. The fried calamari was suppose to be big rings but all I got was a bunch of small pieces and crumbs. We ordered 10 wings but instead we got 4 wings and 6 small drum sticks. That's not the worst part about it, the breading of the chicken was light, dry and have very little sauce/flavor. Absolutely the worst service I have ever experienced. The owner was so extremely rude. I had asked for spicy mayo when I picked up the order and there were other people in the bar so he was at first pleasant, and then later after I had paid and it was just me, I asked ranch for my spicy wings, and he suddenly snapped and yelled aggressively at me that not only would that be 95 cents for that very tiny container of ranch, but that I had to then pay for the two spicy mayos he had already given me and were in my bag. I was immediately embarrassed that not only was this man all of a sudden angry and rude to me for absolutely no reason, but it had felt that I was begging this man for sauces when I am a frequent customer and had already paid for the food. I usually don't write reviews, but I had so terrible walking out of this restaurant that it just left a very terrible feeling in the pit of my stomach, and I couldn't even eat my food. Worst experience ever. Where do I even start... Arrived at 715pm, young hostess was absolutely clueless, couldn't provide any information or expectation when a table would be ready, was directing people to try to sit at the bar, which was ten feet away and had no seating. After a few moments my wife and I decided to place a take out order. My wife went to the bar, placed the order and was told 25 minutes for the food to be ready. We walked around for about 30 minutes came back and I went to the bar to pick up our food. After standing for about 10 minutes unacknowledged when 6 staff members had been within 2 feet of me, the bar tender finally came over and was abrupt, asking what the name on the order was, after a few moments he came over and slapped the check down in front of me. I paid and asked when our food would be ready. He was a bit rude and said there were still orders ahead of our and it would be another 10-15 minutes. So my wife, two kids and I walked around again for another 15 minutes. By this time we went back and my wife went in. The server told my wife they ran out of chicken a long time ago and wouldn't be able to fill out order. After wasting over an hour of our time, taking our money when they were very aware they wouldn't be able to fill out order, then wasting another 15 minutes, the experience left us in total disgust. The owner was on site and didn't even n ow what to say to customers, we weren't the only ones in the same boat, there were a half dozen orders after ours. The seating in the place is cheap, tables small, the staff is some of the worst I've ever dealt with, and there's a complete lack of management and customer service. The chicken is good, but the ordeal to get it, if you even can, is no where worth it. Go ANY where else! They either need to clean house on the staff, hire an actual manager, or cancel the franchise license as this location brings down the entire brand of the company! read more

Waiter said the cook is making the fried rice now. 20 min. Later asked the waiter on the status and he came back and said the order was cancelled by the cook. The waiter gave us the chicken free of charge. Chicken was good but the service is really bad. This Waiter served other tables and gave a lot better service. Yikes. I wish I had read the reviews before stopping here for lunch on a recent weekday. There was only one other customer in the place when I came in. The server was friendly and prompt, almost over eager - at first, anyway - which is the only reason I'm giving one star. I ordered the japchae, a noodle dish, and a beer. The vegetables in the dish were fine, but the glass noodles were over cooked and overly sweet and sticky, and the beef should have been called "beef sprinkles." No kidding, I've seen bigger crumbles out of a Bacon Bits jar. The japchae and 1 beer came to $20, which I thought was very overpriced for the quality of the food. Remember, there was only one other customer when I was there, and yet I had to flag down the server after waiting a fairly long time for my check. While waiting, I got to watch bad cartoons playing on the wall TV... The manager/owner(?) sat at the bar the whole time surfing Facebook, never even looked up to notice either of his two customers. I then visited the restroom where I saw THREE glue traps for vermin in plain view on the floor. I usually give any place a second chance, but this was my first and last visit to Bonchon. read more

My brother introduced me to the Bon Chon franchise at another location, so I assumed all locations tasted the same---but I was wrong. This location is new and nicely set up on the inside and the staff is great here. I was greeted immediately upon walking in and directed to the bar area to place my to go order. While reviewing the menu at the bar I noticed the bartender had to take phone orders, orders from the bar, and to go orders--glad it wasn't busy when I came. The bartender was friendly and took my order. I ordered the special rice and the chicken combo of wings and drums. I felt like the price was very expensive for only a few small pieces of chicken and a side of rice--$26.00. My order came out in less than 15 minutes. When I got home and tried my food, the taste was not the same as I had previously from the other location. The chicken did not taste as good and the rice was different and did not taste good either. Again, the staff is great here but the food did not live up to the Bonchon reputation. read more
