Lacks flavor and not worth the prices! My first experience but won't be coming back. Chicken Katsu: the picture looked spectacular lol - nope. Friend chicken was dry. Just a dry bowl of rice and chicken lol Seasoned fried zucchini: it came in a paper bag. They were falling apart and the texture was too soggy. Sweet potatoes: cold Bao buns: meh Korean cucumber salad: 11/10 (that's what the 2 stars are for

I've wanted to try Bonchon for such a long time, I'm glad that they're finally here. After contemplating about what we'd have for takeout one night, my partner suggested that we finally try Bonchon after talking about it weeks prior. Korean fried chicken? You don't need to ask me twice. We ordered online and went with the K-Meal for 2-4 as it included 12 wings + 6 boneless and 2 sides. For our flavors we opted for spicy and Korean BBQ and cheese corn + fried rice for our sides, adding in an order of coleslaw after I heard it was good. Pickup was pretty seamless and the food was hot when we got it. They tossed in an extra side of corn, thanks for that! The corn was delicious, it may have been the only item that wasn't piping hot in our bag which resulted in me microwaving them to melt the cheese, but they were so good. The coleslaw left much to be desired lol. The fried rice was perfect! Let me warn you - the spicy flavor is SPICY. I was shocked at how alarmed I was. I mean, I love spice. I will throw jalapenos on anything and love a kick as long as it doesn't interfere with flavor. But baby, that spice was kicking my butt! It was definitely delicious though, I will not hide that. The Korean BBQ was tasty as well, I was just bummed that the chicken was really soggy. Was that because of the sauce + breading not being a match or what - we will definitely be going with the original fried chicken going forward because I missed that crunch. I'll also grab some kimchi and radishes next time, I can't believe I didn't try them on my first visit but they're at the top of my list.

Bonchon!!!! I was THRILLED when I saw this place open since I've only experienced them whenever I visited DC! And per the usual, I wasn't disappointed! I ordered the 10 wings with an order of Veggie Fried Rice. I was able to split the flavors of wings: Yangnyeom and regular. Yangnyeom is similar to a Thai Chili flavor in case anyone was wondering and it's delicious! Now back the food! My food was hot, flavorful and I had enough for seconds even after sharing. My chicken was juicy and crunchy how I like it, and the right amount of sauce not overpowering the chicken. The restaurant is clean with separate menus to order aside from ordering at the counter which helps in crowded situations. I avoided the lunch hour rush around 2pm since I was shopping at the grocery store adjacent to the restaurant. The service was great! The young lady at the counter was amazing and we had a nice conversation while I waited for my food which wasn't long, about ten minutes. The price isn't like typical fast food or takeout but it's worth it! I'll be back more than I want to admit and I'm glad to hear and see they'll be popping up around the city.

Aye yall, I Know I normally am super positive and tell yall to pull up. Dont bring yall behinds over here! Drive to Alpharetta and get Kimchi Red. I visited Bonchon friday after a long work week. After arriving at the airport starved, I stopped here on my way home. We tried the chicken katsu (not uh/5, burned and flavorless) the spicy wings and the korean bbq wings (sauces were good but the quality of wings was poor as well as the breading). We had three bottled drinks(apple juice, water, sparkling water) as they have no freestyle. They all were $4+ and im pretty sure they came from the sprouts next door. Inside the restaurant was cleaned but looked like it should be closed! Shame on the business owners who are operating this dungeon of a dinning room. The best part was the service. The young lady on the front register checked on us throughout our meal and did what she could.shout out to her. Yall go somewhere else man!

I was excited when I found out Smyrna was getting a Bonchon. I first tried Bonchon in D.C., and I only knew of one other location, which was in Fayetteville. It's great to see more locations popping up in Georgia. Finally, Bonchon opened in Smyrna, and I went on last Monday. I ordered a 6-piece wing--half soy garlic, half yangyeom. The cashier was super friendly and helpful. Since the wings are made fresh, it took a little while to get my food. I ordered takeout, but there's plenty of seating inside and some outside too. The price was a bit steep for just six wings and no real side, though. All chicken entrees come with a small complimentary pickle radish or coleslaw, but I didn't want either. When I finally ate, I enjoyed it, but I still felt a little hungry. So next time, I'll go for the next size up. Overall, it's a great addition to the area, and I'm looking forward to going back.

    Korean Tacos
    Courtney M.

While on my quest for food, though I was originally looking for tacos, Bonchon caught my eye. I've really been on a kick for Korean food lately, both authentic and fusion food. I am particularly a fan of bulgogi and noticed they had bulgogi tacos so I decided to give it a try! The best of both worlds right? The tacos were a bit underwhelming. It wasn't much flavor, which was surprising since some of the ingredients included bulgogi beef, spicy mayo and ranch. I thought it would be packed with flavor, but it just wasn't. There was not very much meat on the tacos though you pay extra for bulgogi. I felt like the lettuce and mayo (which wasn't spicy at all) overpowered everything. They do have other things. If I were to come Back again, I'd probably get the Korean Fried chicken. Service was fine, no issues. You can place your order at the counter or kiosk. I chose the kiosk and ordered to-go. It was easy and my food came out fairly quick. If you're someone who likes to customize or change things (like preferring your sauce on the side rather than on your food), order at the counter because there's not really a way to enter that using the kiosk. Also, I love that they give reusable storage containers to-go orders! I am not sure if I'd go again, but it wasn't horrible. Check them out, but maybe just choose a different dish.

Service was fast when ordering to go. Food tastes good, but not as good as the Alpharetta location. This is their grand opening, so maybe that's the reason. This isn't the second time where a company is amazing in Duluth, but is mid when you serve it in Atlanta. Usually when I go to BonChon in Alpharetta, these drumsticks fill the box more and are larger. These drums look lonely in this box. The crispiness and flavor was there, but the chicken itself seemed a bit dry and not as juicy. The street corn I got seemed like a single scoop in a two scoop Togo container 4oz food service container. This fit in the Coleslaw appetizer that was roughly 2oz, so I might have your team look at what this container is supposed to filled to. Seems like you're trying to cut corners here and considering this is $4.99 in this day and age, shame. When I get this at other locations, it's usually filled to the top of a paper branded cup leaving half an inch from the top. Fried Rice with Spicey Chicken was good. Definitely spicy and I had to eat it with patience. Overall, the location is on the corner of the east west connector in Smyrna, across the street of Publix. It's easy to get in and out of that parking lot and there is plenty of parking. The location sports an outdoor seating which was not setup today, I gather because it's kind of cold and they didn't have any outdoor heaters. Inside, the place is freshly setup and clean. Well lit and the people seem friendly. I'll keep an eye on this location. Hopefully it will improve in time. Probably need to come back once they are in business for some time. Good luck!

This is a quick service restaurant where you order at a counter and then either have your food brought to you if you want to sit down to eat in, or it would be good for takeout. The atmosphere is nicer than fast food but not as nice as most full service Asian restaurants around Smyrna. The service was good. My kids said the chicken sandwich and drumsticks were probably 7/10. I got the bibimbap and felt the same. The fries and donut were amazing, 10/10. We'll come back - this was good food for the price, and they have a nice variety of food.

House Fried Rice with pork belly
    Melenda M.

A friend of mine told me about this restaurant. I was excited to go. We ordered 6 wings and 2 drumsticks for 17 dollars. That's my first issue. My husband ordered a dish with glass noodles and beef. I ordered fried rice with pork belly. For these prices... the servings should be more. The chicken is crunchy but both the crispy and soy/ garlic were too salty. We waited 27 minutes for our food to come out. I probably would not come back.

Had the BEST meal today at Bonchon! I've never tried Korean fried chicken and it did not disappoint. I decided to be a fatty (cause who starts a New Years diet on a weekend?!?) I got the Bao Buns, Potstickers, Korean Street corn, and the Japchae.... Those glass noodles are TO DIE

Yeah! Bonchon in Smyrna is finally open! Me and the picky 'lil girl shared a small mixed chicken combo (2 legs and 4 wings) half soy garlic and have crunch with one side and a drink. Perfect snack! Staff super helpful and patient. Menu is extensive with traditional Korean options as well...next time! Casual ordering and then find a seat.

I shared the Karaage and Korean fried chicken with my friends and didn't find either to be something I would reorder, however I will say that my friends all spoke highly of the Korean fried chicken. For my main, I had the Wagyu Maki and it didn't live up to the expectations or price at all. We finished off with the mochi which was very tasty. I'll caveat this all with adding my friends who had the ramen and fried rice enjoyed their meals a lot more than mine. This could be a result of just ordering better items or just having a one-off bad experience myself. Overall, I think if you're avoiding seafood then Yakitori Jinbei might not be the best place to try in my personal experience.

I stopped by on a Tuesday evening around 8 PM, placed a call-in order, and it was ready in about 20 minutes--super convenient! I went with the fried rice and the Korean-style fried chicken. The place has a nice moderate-sized space with pleasant outdoor seating, and the staff was really friendly when I picked up my order. Once I got back and dug in, it was clear they use super fresh ingredients, and everything tasted like it was made to order. The fried rice had nice, layered flavors, and the chicken had a clean, crisp bite with a tasty sauce drizzled on top. Honestly, I couldn't quite see what all the major hype was about, but it was still a solid, good-quality meal with great presentation. That said, given the other more affordable options in the area with better portions, I probably wouldn't go back on my next visit. Would recommend if you're looking for fresh, quality ingredients in a convenient spot!

Jojo was an excellent waiter and he took care of the table very well. The last time I went was the first time I went so I went ahead and had him give the list of things that were good and the perspectives on the food. He knew his stuff and did it in great detail. Trained really well. Awesome experience . I took an Uber. I don't actually know about the parking situation but you can probably find parking because of where it's at. Just keep in mind that it's in an area where it's going to be pay-to-park so don't think you're going to get away with something for free . The ambience is nice and it's a lot more elegant than what you would think. Not over-the-top elegance though, not at all, but it is very neat and well-placed. Everybody is super friendly when you come in and the establishment is very clean . Shanghai pork belly eggs - I saw something that said that the deviled eggs were good so I gave them a shot and they did not disappoint. They were super flavorful. That was almost a little confusing because you had egg there and you had it lightly deep-fried and you had pork belly and you had what it seemed to be like was jelly. It was a whole lot of flavor happening at one time. I don't have any issue with it, not whatsoever. It was a really good appetizer and you get about four of them so you actually get to taste it and then taste it again and make sure you're tasting all the flavors correctly lol . Drunken noodle scallops and lobster - so the noodles were really good. They came in a little bowl with a tea light to keep them warm. That was pretty cool as far as optics go but the food itself was good. Now when you get something like seafood you kind of expect it to be little or not huge portions but this was a different story. They had two pieces of lobster tail in there so you peel the lobster tail out and you chop it up and there was plenty of lobster meat and the scallops that were in there as well were huge. You have to be able to probably cut those in half to eat with your pasta as you use the fork in the bowl. It was plenty of seafood. There was almost more filling in the bowl than there was pasta, which is crazy! The flavor of it was sweet and savory and it wasn't as if one thing carried the dish. All the way around the dish was good. Lemongrass steamed mussels - now these are pretty good. Originally I was going to order the soup on the menu but JoJo said that the soup was basically the broth for the mussels so I just went ahead and canceled that. They were good and they were savory. They weren't the best mussels in the world but they are really good and the broth had the lemongrass flavor everywhere in your mouth. Super good. Also usually you may get like eight mussels or maybe 12 of them but this order came with like 25 of them and it was a huge order so that's not to be slept on. It came with a really toasted bread that you would use for the broth at the bottom. That broth after you finish could definitely be used for something else. Very tasty . Overall this is absolutely a stellar spot. I have zero complaints about it. The food was good. The ambiance was great. The service was superior and they might have another customer returning soon enough . It was a great fusion of food and flavors.

Soft shell crab - the crab was good but the crab itself was only okay but the sauce in the bowl of the crab actually carried it. It's not a bad thing, but at the same time by itself it was only okay but the sauce definitely added a little extra to it. Grilled Octopus - the octopus was pretty good but at the same time it was a little more chewy than I would've liked it to be. It wasn't impossibly chewy. It was actually still pretty good. The thing that made the octopus actually pop was the sauce that came with it. The sauce was like a chili-lime sauce and that actually carried the dish itself. Without that it would've just been okay but the sauce definitely helped. The sauce went well with a couple of things actually . But I'll still order doctors again. It was actually pretty decent. Bangkok Hot fries - the fries are actually good. They had a a spice to them. That was a kick in the face but also citrusy as well. So you got a little bit of heat and citrus at the same time. They came out really good. Hot fresh and that would have been really good on a burger LOL Overall, it smells pretty good if you want small plates. This is a spot to go to now. They do have regular and large size portions, but that's not this place's bag, which is okay. If you're in the business of just trying a bunch of stuff, this is a good spot to go to because they actually have a combo where you can get a few things off of the small place menu to try and share. This is a good spot if you just want to stop in somewhere to try a few Asian dishes.

This time there were no employees/staff to take orders or talk to only a computer screen that you order through. Fine, easy enough very impersonal. Also funny when the screen asked in for a tip ! Hahaha! Showing up to 20% years really funny. I'm going to give a tip to the computer ? Them when your food is ready you get a text and it appears on the counter. No human interaction except For the man that cleans the tables for Tips Interesting concept but I would rather interact with a human like at the other restaurants here. Food was delicious. I had Pad Thai with tofu. Large portion. A little pricey but that's eating out these days in a tourist area. But also they have no employees except For a chef Here are photos of this year and of past years food.

It was definitely busy since it was a game day, but we found a table easily. I ordered the Drunken Noodles with tofu and a Thai Iced Tea. The Drunken Noodles were some of the best I've ever had, and the portion size was great. The Thai Iced tea was also delicious and not too sweet, which is what I prefer. I would definitely return!
