I don't love writing bad reviews but I lived close to this place and it had decent reviews. The food for both myself and my wife was inedible. The menu is HUGE. We decided on 'hibachi'. It was very obviously not cooked on a flat grill. Steamed veggies and tough pieces of steak (they don't ask how you want it cooked - this was a red flag). Ever since my go to restaurant Hong Min closed, I have been searching for a new Chinese restaurant. I live 4 minutes away and my girlfriends wanted to try this new restaurant Harmony in Palos Heights. They both ordered Pina coladas and they said it's pricey but pretty delicious. My dirty martini was gross. Dirty martini is my choice of drink so I've had quite a few and this is one that normally tells you they don't know what they're doing. It's just straight up vodka. No vermouth and no brine. Nothing but vodka with ice. Service was pleasant. Very friendly and the place was pretty big. Love how spacious the booths are which was very comfortable. Pot stickers was a big doughy and I had the Mongolian beef and it was delicious but it is spicy. I can eat spice and this was right up my alley. Chicken fried rice was also pretty good. Love how big the portions are and not skimpy at all. If my dirty martini was good, I probably would have given them 5 stars. It is my fault for ordering a dirty at a Chinese restaurant but with a liquor license, I expect that's doable. They could have simply say, please order from the menu or wine. We don't do martinis. Still a decent 4 stars. Will definitely be back for other dishes maybe no alcohol for me. read more

This restaurant is next to a country club and they share the parking lot. There are signs where to park for the restaurant and country club. We ordered takeout for dinner, so I cannot comment on the dining area, but it has a decent size to it. There were a few patrons dining and a line for takeout. They do have an extensive menu. Something for everyone: Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Thai. Our order consisted of mongolian beef, pot stickers, chicken basil fried rice, fire roll sushi, and a watermelon smoothie. Location is a shared parking lot with the golf course. You wouldn't expect it to be there. The building was a little musty and could use some updating but it looks like they are slowly getting there. The restaurant's appearance was comfortable and quiet. The food was sub par. The sushi rolls and tuna rolls were not fresh as if they were refrigerated a long time. I have only been here once. Although my dish, Basil Chicken was very good. My friend ordered the Satay Chicken and it was raw. But the worst part of the experience was that we arrived just after they opened and they were still vacuuming and continued to vacuum for another 10 minutes before taking our order. When I ordered hot tea, I was told that the hot water wasn't ready. Then I placed my food order the server wouldn't look me in the eye or write down the order so I wasn't sure she even heard me. This was our first time here and we will definitely be back! The menu is huge but we stayed with the Chinese options. We started with pot stickers and they were large and delicious. My wife had the shrimp and pea pods for her entree and all was very fresh. The shrimp were large and fresh. I had shrimp egg foo yung with white rice. I brought the order home and there was absolutely no sauce in the bag. I called back to complain that there was not any sauce. They asked if I wanted to come back and get any. I said no that I was about 15 minutes away and did not want my food to get cold. I asked if they could give me a coupon or a credit for my next visit. They told me to hold on. The man was talking to someone else in the background and I was told no. I started to say something else, and he hung up on me mid-sentence. Service was definitely not good that night. We were a little Leary of ordering as in the 4 years since moving out of the city we have not found any good Asian take out or delivery but what a joyful surprise! Harmony is great for three main reasons. 1 the food is so good. It reminds me of EVERGREEN in China town. Everything was piping hot and such generous portions ! 2. It was delivered quickly ( with in 20 minutes). 3the girl who took my order was very pleasant, patient and helpful. Harmony 2 is our go to Chinese Restaurant, and the menu also covers Korean and Thai food. We moved here a little over a year ago, and we love Chinese Cuisine food. We have been disappointed by other Chinese Restaurants until we found Harmony 2. We enjoyed the service and especially the setting. The food and affordability keep bringing us back. Though we admit not trying the Korean and Thai dishes, if they are as good as the Chinese dishes, it is worth trying. We always frequent the lunch hours, however we don't see a large gathering, maybe dinner is the best for their business. Bartender was unable to make a martini due to lack of knowledge and appropriate liquor (ingredients). We are from Peoria, IL., visiting our Granddaughter going to school at Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, IL. We wanted to take her to dinner and she likes Chinese food and so do we. We went on-line and the restaurant popped up. We decided to try it. When we got there we were immediately surprised at the ambiance of the place. My immediate thought was 'but do they know hot to cook Chinese food. We're we surprised! The food was outstanding! The menus covered all of the Asian disciplines, although Chinese is our favorite. We had Spring Rolls, Won Ton soup, vegetable fried rice, Sesame Chicken, Mongolian beef and another all vegetable dish as my wife is a Vegan.
