The food is mostly good. There have been times we've gone and the food was burned or tasted off. The chefs are hit and miss with their cooking. The service is always great which is why they get 4/5 stars. The ambiance can be hit or miss too. There's times that it's loud and extremely messy. And then there's times it's pristine. read more

The bench where we sat had old food and other debris stuck between the cushions, which is not something you expect from a restaurant of this caliber. My bride had the lettuce wraps and enjoyed them. I had the Mongolian beef, but the quality of the meat was not good at all and really took away from the dish. The service started out fine, but after the shift change, it essentially disappeared. We ordered the lettuce wraps and the teriyaki chicken for our entree. The food arrived quickly, however it might have been warmed through from yesterday. The lettuce wraps smelled and tasted off. I commented to my husband, that the taste was similar to the smell of a zoo. My husband found his entree to be chewy, lacking in chicken and dry. He remarked it seemed like "the bottom of the pan". I want to be clear, we complained and were comped for the lettuce wraps, however felt it was important to share that this is not the place it used to be. The kids meals took the longest then the adult/lunch portion meals. The food was bleh and not so flavorful as it was before years. A lot of mixed reviews about Changs since it's a chain, but honestly it was pretty good when we stopped by. The atmosphere in the restaurant was upscale, good for adult birthdays or award ceremonies. Sunday night @ 5 pm. Restaurant is virtually empty. Service was adequate at best. Slow approach, cold/aloof server. Slow on getting drinks, but food came out lightning fast. Delicious and piping hot. Ordered sesame beef, chicken fried rice, chicken lo mein, and teriyaki beef. They were all delicious. The two beef dishes were pretty small portions, especially considering they were priced in the mid $20's. The rice and lo mein portions were more generous. Celebrated here last week after my son's 8th grade graduation. The restaurant is really pretty with Asian theme like decor. I enjoyed the nice outdoor patio seating, where we sat. But service was odd our server, won't say his name as maybe he was having a bad day, but he was super short and just very quickly throwing things down and rushing us a bit too much. We stopped in this PF Changs on a Friday night at 7 on our trip to Chicago. We had a party of 3 and were excited when the host was able to seat us almost immediately in a roomy booth. The decor of the restaurant was the typical classic Chinese design mixed with some modern elements. Our waitress, Julia was super attentive and very friendly. She made us very comfortable and was quick to offer suggestions for entree ideas and drink selections. We ordered the lettuce wraps (delicious), brussel sprouts (even better), orange chicken with fried rice (good), miso salmon (very good), boba tea (my daughter loved) and hot peach ginger tea (excellent). This was my first and I believe last time trying this restaurant. I didn't have extremely high hopes but I expected it to be some steps above say Panda Express. I'm here to tell you just go to Panda for better tasting food at a fraction of the cost. The food was just not good, everything lacked flavor and was just insanely sweet, like diabetic sweet. Small baby shrimp cooked to rubber band texture and mostly breading dried out chicken. No amount of at home doctoring could save it, we ordered 2 lunch specials that were still overpriced for quality, taste, and portion. Neither of us could finish the food, you know it's bad when you have to throw it away. I expressed my disappointment on a feedback form and I was quickly contacted by a manager who apologized and refunded the meals. Ordered takeout because the holidays are draining! Hoping to have decent food that remotely resembles what I remember from this restaurant from years back. That went out the window quickly when I got home and opened the food packages. Mongolian Beef should be renamed to crispy mystery meat nuggets that are more beef jerky than anything else. Flavor was not there. Ok, the lettuce wraps are always banging , but those were served with what I can describe as left over Romain leaves . Not iceberg, as ordered. This is a chain restaurant, of course so nothing too much to say. Place was clean and very empty. There were not a lot of people that were eating lunch. I haven't been to PF Changs in several years. I wasn't sure what to expect. I put myself on the waitlist, since you can't make a reservation. I received the message stating that our table was ready. I received this message in the parking lot of the restaurant. When I walked inside to speak to the hostess, she said that she canceled it because I failed to respond within 2 minutes. This was a sign of things to come. Half hour later after we got seated in a half empty restaurant. We waited 20 minutes before a waiter acknowledged us and another 20 minutes for Dennis to take our drink order. We couldn't agree if he was being racist or if this is the level of service of this establishment. When he finally brought our refreshers, they were terrible. Too sweet and too bitter and yes that's possible. Also, both times he brought us our drinks are both times he threw the straws on the table without looking at us or even acknowledging us. The restaurant was half empty and there was no reason it was taking our server a half hour to bring us drinks. The food is mediocre at best on good days bad service and racist servers isn't going to keep this place in business. read more

I've been to the P.F. Chang's in Orland Park many times. I have one complaint.....they did not have the mango iced tea which I absolutely love. They said they haven't had it for weeks my goodness it's time to get that. My server was Matthew. He was definitely on the ball. He thought of everything ahead of time when he brought my regular iced tea he had a glass of ice in his hand. I didn't have to ask for it. He came just the right times to ask if we needed anything. My friend and I had the Mongolian beef definitely delicious. We had the chicken lettuce wrap for appetizer not only delicious but hot. I know other restaurants do those, but P.F. It's been almost 10 years since we've been here, but I can't say we'll be coming back. I will start with saying that I realize a business fails from the top down. If management was aware of the lack of training, or even walked around to see the state of the restaurant and how unappealing and distasteful the dirty plates and servers who are distracting the bartender from doing their job with side conversations, our experience may have been different. The food was just okay, would rather put my money elsewhere. We came to the bar to eat and wow was that a mistake. We were the only ones at the bar, and another couple came after us. The bartender asked what we'd like and never made the drink and made the couple next us whole order before ours. Then he took their food order. I am very patient and always give the benefit of the doubt, but the various other servers that walk this place and don't have the m ethic to help out and would rather have side conversations is incredible. Our apps were served with no plates so we just shared the plate they were served on. Later, I ordered another drink that never came and this was the point I was completely done. The place was really quiet for lunch on a Saturday. We don't live in the area but when we come to Orland we used to like coming here. I walked in the door excited to get the vegetarian lettuce wraps as they were always my favorite and I was glad they were still on the menu..... but when I got them I was super disappointed Apparently they changed the recipe and the tofu pieces are larger and softer.... I liked when they were small and almost grilled and they served it with romaine lettuce instead of iceberg---- it definitely did not taste as good. My husband had Mongolian beef and said it was good but a bit salty. I will say our server was wonderful though. For appetizers we got the chicken lettuce wraps and egg drop soup. Our favorite is the Mongolian beef and lettuce wrap. They also have many dishes that can be made gluten free and very accommodating for food allergies. Restaurant was clean and service was good. We had a birthday party last weekend for my cousin's birthday. Last time I was there I ordered the Mongolian Beef but wasn't happy with it even with more sauce, this time I ordered the Lettuce Chicken Wrap, and it was delicious and a good portion to boot. I also ordered a second appetizer, the Dynamite Shrimp tempura-battered, tossed with a sriracha aioli another good choice. My sister ordered the Green Beans, they're tempura battered with spicy dipping sauce. The order was so big you need to ask for another container of dipping sauce. They give you a dessert for your birthday which I thought was a nice touch. My sister ordered an off-menu item called Filet Stuffed Wontons, she said there were a few without anything in them plus she didn't like the very spicy sauce that came with them. This was my first time coming to this restaurant and I must say I was very impressed. We ordered the pan seared potstickers or dumplings and those were pretty good definitely different from what I've tried before at other places but still very tasty and they had their own little mix of a sauce that you can add on it. We ordered the lemon drop martini perfectly chilled and very nice. I'm a little weirdo so sometimes I make customizations to my food so I got the sesame chicken with no sesame seeds because I don't like sesame seeds and let me tell you this meal is phenomenal all I can think about is just going back to eat it again. My girlfriend got the ginger chicken and that's all she orders when she goes this wasn't her first time. Also ordered the fried rice and there was almost no egg or vegetables in it and maybe they used one packet of soy sauce? So rather than just never eat there again I asked for a credit which they gave. This time I ordered the teriyaki beef. The sauce was delicious but the meat was terrible quality. I went to the Orland location to have a birthday lunch with my sisters. I usually love PF Changs, but like a lot of places, I think it may be losing its appeal. The first thing we noticed was how sticky the floors were. I stood in the same spot for a moment, and when I moved my feet, there was actually some effort needed. Yuck! The bathroom floors were the same...extra yuck! The staff was nice, as usual! We opted to sit at the bar ( required for happy hour specials). The bartender came over immediately and took our drink and appetizer order. The drink was phenomenal! My sisters went for a second drink. The crab wontons were exactly what they were expected to be (just ok for me). The three of us all ordered something different...our respective "go to's". My sister noted that the tofu in the veggie lettuce wraps was chunkier than they have been in the past, and she didn't prefer that. My other sister ordered the Miso Salmon and thought it was really good. The temperature of the salmon was perfect. Now for mine...I only ever order the Singapore Street Noodles. The first thing I noticed is that the portion size was smaller than normal. I even asked if it was a lunch portion, and the bartender told me it was not. The next thing I noticed is that there was literally one piece of chicken in my shrimp and chicken noodle dish. I mentioned this to the waitress, and she insisted on taking the whole thing back instead of just bringing more chicken, which I appreciated. When the new dish came back, it was noticeably different. It had a little more chicken, but it had some toppings on it that the previous one didn't. It looked much more inticing. I HATE THE INCONSISTENCY! I want to know that I'm getting the best the first time, without having to complain. The portion size was still small, but the taste was satisfactory. Since it was my birthday, I got a slice of cheesecake on the house, which I thought was nice and realized some places have stopped doing this. This visit definitely had its pros and cons. read more

I visited this location on Oct 12 with my twin brother for our birthday. This was our first time visiting a PF Chang. We arrived around 1pm and was quickly seated. The first thing I noticed was how dirty the appetizer plates were. They just sit on the table and apparently are never cleaned properly or wiped free of dust. Then our waitress Miracle introduced herself. She was friendly and personable while she explained the menu. She handed us the most disgustingly dirty menus I've ever seen! Normally I can look over a little dirt but this was ridiculous. We ended up moving the table next to ours because the one we were seated at was sticky and gross. I informed Miracle of the table and menus. She apologized but never handed us clean ones. We ordered and was told the portions were big, they weren't big at all. My salt and pepper prawns were swimming in oil but the fried rice was good. My brother liked his food too. My appetite was ruined because of how dirty this establishment was. We only stayed because we had a gift card or we would've left and went to another cleaner restaurant in the area. I don't get it because there was barely anyone there, just no excuse. I arrived on time only to be told that they ran out of rice. What restaurant that serves Chinese food runs out of rice. So I patiently wait an additional 20 minutes for my order. They have a high price point. Unfortunately my food was average at best. I had several dishes but the only one that stood out was the pepper steak it was tender and flavored well. Their price point does not match the culinary flavor of the food or their customer service. This restaurant is a pass there are too many other delicious options in the area such as Rising Sun in Mokena or Wu's House in Orland Park. Don't waste your time here. read more
