    Yangnyeom wings

So it's been a few months since I was last here and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! Placed my order for Large wings and my flavor was soy garlic and tried their new offering Yangnyeom! Delicious! Sweet and spicy! This time the wings were excellent and very flavorful! Every bite was just as good as the last. Love the crunch on the outside and savory juicy inside. Way better than the last time I was here. Oh I also ordered some regular fried rice. Chefs kiss. Perfect combo with the wings. Our order came out very quickly and the presentation was amazing. The store was clean and fresh, plenty of seats and again there's plenty of parking around but can get full quickly since it's a popular area. Again recommend ordering ahead of time if you're in a rush. If you like Korean fried chicken, perfect for bdays, fight nights or ball games etc. I highly recommend you stop by Bon chon. Already looking forward to my next visit. Now it's time to hit the gym lol.

A co-worker recommended this place for lunch weeks ago, and we finally made it. Soooo good. A small venue on Stuyvesant Ave in Union (one of the main streets). There is street parking, if you can find it, & back lot parking & you'll have to walk around the corner. It's a no frills place, with tables & chairs for dining in. Service was quick, food prep time was about what was expected. The food was very good. We had the Korean Fried Wings: Soy Garlic flavor, Bulgogi Fries, & Pork Buns. All were excellent, & this place will definitely be on the go-to list while at work. The only major downside is their drink selection is the absolute bare minimum. Your choices are Water, Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Ginger Ale, & Sprite. The drink fridge looked sad, as it had more cold food items stored in it, than drinks. They can definitely step their game up on this, Big Time! Grades: Soy Garlic Wings: A Pork Buns: A Bulgogi Fries: A+

I just want everyone to be safe. I could have been severely hurt but I found a significantly sharp piece of metal in my creamy corn. i contacted the restaurant and they refunded the money but this plate was meant for my son which terrified me please keep our food safe .

Bull Dak - sooo small, not worth the price tbh

I love Bonchon generally, but this particular location not so much. First of all, when you walk in (we came on a Saturday evening), no one was sitting inside to eat. The place didn't look inviting at all, and people were solely there for takeout. It wasn't unclean and the staff was kind, but the tables are far apart and the place just looks uninviting and sterile. We purchased Medium-sized Wings (20 pcs) and omg the spicy one was sooo spicy. My fiancee and I can handle spicy but that was very, very spicy. We also purchased a Bull Dak, and let me tell you, it was SO SMALL. NOT worth $16. It was basically one cup of rice and one cup of spicy rice cakes, very not worth it. It was also very, very spicy. The total came out to ~$46, and we wished we had went elsewhere.

WE LOVE BONCHON! We usually only ever get the soy garlic chicken wings but this time I wanted to order some other dishes to try. First off, we love the chicken, always crispy but also smothered and covered with that yummy soy garlic sauce. This time we also got the seasoned fries which was yummy with the dipping sauce provided. I ordered the Japchae with bulgogi and I have never tried this dish before. Well I am in love with the. I love bulgogi always but these noodles were just so good. We also got tteokbokki. It's was cheesy and spicy. It was tasty but I could only have a few bites at a time. Everything was delicious and we will continue ordering from them.

Bonchon has a special place in my heart as the introduction to the world of Korean fried chicken. Like many chains in Jersey, I used to look at this store as a novelty until it gained popularity and locations popped up everywhere. Similarly, Korean fried chicken (thankfully) became prevalent and other chains appeared nearby. I've been to this particular location of Bonchon throughout the years and have always had a good experience! The staff are always friendly and willing to help. The shop itself is super clean and has some eye catching art. I was particularly fascinated by the picture outlining what year Bonchon appeared in a new country. After trying various Korean fried chicken in New Jersey and New York, I still love Bonchon even though it's not my go to place. I would like more crispness in the chicken skin to balance the sauciness of the soy garlic. However, I think the chicken is affordable and cheaper than some other chains. The wings were also a decent size with plenty of meat on the bone. I usually only get chicken, but I recently got the seasoned zucchini fries, which were perfection! My only grievance was that there wasn't enough sauce for the entire basket of fries. I'm thankful that the Union Bonchon has stayed consistent in quality throughout the years, and has satisfied my craving for Korean fried chicken in the area!

    Spy garlic chicken tenders

Got 20 piece soy garlic Chicken, chicken was hard , might break your teeth hard, was not edible. The chicken tender is very small, as in a pinky finger small.Workers was nice but this defiantly was not worth the money.save your money and go somewhere else.

I placed an online order, and my scheduled pick-up time was 30 minutes ago. I'm not sure when my order will be ready. It seems that the staff is having difficulty meeting the time targets and communicating effectively with customers about revised expectations after missing the initial pick-up time. I walked to an adjoining store and purchased fresh donuts. I received them in 15 minutes, but my Bonchon order still isn't ready. I was told it would be ready in 10. I'm watching the clerk play on their phone and casually tell me my order isn't ready yet. We are now a full 47 minutes past when my order was supposed to be ready. If you want bonchon...this spot probably isn't the place you want to come to.

Food was what is expected of a Bonchon. The interior of the restaurant is setup for carry out orders. The ambiance seems pretty dead here with very few patrons staying in here to eat. My fiancé and i ordered the Buldak chicken and the fried chicken. We've had bonchon in nyc at the ktown location and the chelsea location but it's truly not the same.

The place is a simpler local eatery, so decor wasn't exactly a designed by some of the best New York interior decorators, but it was pleasant and very calm. Even the drinks have fun little lights in them! Service was very kind and attentive but also lets you take your time - which is lovely! This is sort of "part 2" to my review of my July 4th movie going experience. As we left the theater…read morein Manville on that brutally hot day, my old friend abruptly brought up the fact that he still owed me a meal for driving him up to Paramus a few months ago so he could buy a used car. At the time, he told me he'd buy me dinner for helping him out. I told him he didn't need to buy me dinner. If I can help someone...friend, family member or acquaintance...I'll do it out of the goodness of my heart, not because I'm expecting a recompense. He insisted he was buying me dinner. Being that it was July 4th, and I doubted any restaurant would be open, I was suspicious that his offer was a conman's grift to get out of buying me food. Then again, he had brought it up. I felt guilty for doubting his sincerity. We drove to restaurants in Gillette and Basking Ridge. All closed. We went to Gabriel's Fountain in Martinsville, where we had previously eaten. We saw people and assumed it was open. As it turned out, they were only serving ice cream, not regular food. I love ice cream, but given I had eaten a tub of popcorn, a box of cookie dough candy, and a Coke just an hour or so previously, I wasn't really in the mood for ice cream. Truth be told, I wasn't in the mood for food period. But I thought I could down a bowl of soup somewhere and relieve my friend of this burden of "payback." So we soldiered on. Miraculously, a diner was open in New Providence. My friend didn't want diner food. In Murray Hill, we found an open Chinese restaurant that looked relatively cheap. My friend didn't feel like Chinese food. He checked his phone and said there were 3 restaurants in Summit that were open for business, and they had good reviews. At that point, I just wanted to go home to my air-conditioned domicile and crash, but...we continued on. In Summit, 2 of the restaurants he had read about on his phone were closed. The 1 that was actually open had a line in front of it a half mile long. I said, "I'm not standing on line in this heat for anything. Let's just go..." "Look, try the main street! There has to be something open!" On Summit's Springfield Ave., we parked on the street (no parking meter tolls on this holiday). Some people were out and about on the street, and some places actually did look like they might be open. In spite of his earlier expressed antipathy towards the partaking of Chinese food on this torturous (weather-wise) evening, my friend steered us through the open doors of Blossom Asian Bistro. The restaurant is spacious and modernistically furnished. We were seated and after 1 look at the menu, my friend said, "I can't pay for you tonight-- not at these prices!" I knew it would be pointless to remind him of the cheap prices at the Murray Hill Chinese place he had rejected, so I didn't. And then, I don't know what weird impulse took hold of me--- I wasn't really hungry, I didn't have a lot of money on me, and eating a massive amount of food like I was still 20 years old can set my increasingly precarious digestion absolutely and embarrassingly haywire, but I decided to order a meal in addition to the soup. Call it the "Imp of the Perverse," or maybe I'm just a gluttonous food addict. I thought, "I can fast tomorrow." Service was friendly, prompt. We both ordered the Chicken Wonton Soup, and I was pleasantly surprised. The broth was tasty, not salty, and the wontons, light and delicate...not at all like the doughy, heavy ones that I'm accustomed to (which I still love in spite of their doughy heaviness), were delicious. I ordered the cheapest item on the menu (can't remember what my friend ordered, but he liked it, whatever it was). For me, it was Sesame Chicken, described on the menu as "white meat chicken fried with lotus flour in sweet tangy sesame sauce." I'm not sure what "lotus flour" is, but the dish was served with brown rice, and I enjoyed every mouthful. The food was fresh, prepared with real care, and was eminently enjoyable. The prices were expensive, but then this is Summit. I think it comes with the territory. And the food was very good. Sometimes (oftentimes) you do pay for what you get. If I have a negative to offer, it's that the temperature inside bordered on being uncomfortable. The Reading Theater in Manville had felt like an icebox, but at Blossom, I was 1 step away from breaking into an unsightly sweat. I didn't, but I thought at these prices, the place should be cooler on such a brutally hot day than it was. Given my previous consumption of popcorn and candy, I wasn't in the mood for dessert (or maybe it was my stomach indicating to me, "I've been merciful so far today, but you order dessert now on top of everything else you've eaten, and I really AM gonna embarrass you! Big time!"). We paid and left. I promised my rebellious stomach I would fast the next day. And did. Definitely recommended. When I'm flush, I'd like to come back and try 1 of the more expensive dishes. With a dessert.

The appetizers, like the piping hot vegetable lumpia and their humongous portion of Halo-halo as dessert are highly recommended by me and other reviewers. When we dined at this place, the whole staff gave me a feeling as if I was eating at an aunt's house, with the owner and staff providing very welcoming, family-style care. I have been living in NY for more than 30 years, have already eaten in so many low and high-end Filipino restaurants, in terms of food quality and taste, I may say this by far is the best that I have experienced. If given the chance to be in New Jersey again, I will definitely, 100% be back to this place for their delicious and flavorful food. Some of my companions point out that the seating area is relatively small, which can lead to limited availability during peak times, and a few note the interior decor is fairly plain but it did not matter to me because the food that I ordered/tried were great and amazing (properly spiced, cooked very well and soooooooo delicious!! ). Food portions are generous, presentation was appetizing and excellent, staff service was attentive and great ( I noticed that our water glasses were always filled up which is a service very consistent in so many high-priced restaurants that I have been ). Then I had some sambal sauce, vegetables, chicken and white rice on the side. Now that was really, really good. Nice and spicy, a great mix of vegetables, very fresh, very filling, super surprised by that. This establishment honestly deserves to be a lot more crowded than it actually was. It was very empty in there, I was the only table in there. But overall, just great service.
