Yesterday, on 8/23 my BF & I went to this restaurant to celebrate my B/day. What a disaster. The appetites & drinks came out fast without a long wait. But the Calamari was very, very salty & the dip didn't help the entree. My server, a tall, light skinned black man was overwhelmed taking care of 4 separate tables with less than 4 people. Our food was overcooked & tasteless. The wait staff acted robotic. No one asked, " are we celebrating a special day or event?" We both ordered the 7oz filet with a small side order of "overcooked broccoli" & I had to ask for the smashed potatoes, which should have been on my plate. Even the potatoes were tasteless * The whole experience was "lackluster"-however the highlight was the bourbon chocolate brownies with vanilla ice cream. I had to flag someone down to order the dessert. Then we had to wait to put out leftovers in a container in addition to waiting for the check. We spent $150.00 including the tip & we didn't order alcoholic drinks. We went based on reviews from the Bonefish grill in Buckhead. ( which has closed down). As we were leaving, we saw a party of 4 coming into the restaurant & turned around & left after I said to my BF, we should of gone to "Longhorn"- the meal wouldn't have been that expensive & the wait staff would be friendly, what a disappointment. We came in for a Tuesday date night at 5pm. As you'd expect for a Tuesday at 5pm, there wasn't much going on in the restaurant, my husband even noted "Oh good, it's pretty chill!" As soon as we walked towards the bar area, someone whizzed by-- "Just sit wherever!" We found a high-top booth and a woman (super sweet) came and brought us water while both bartenders were occupied. I feel the need to share I have worked in restaurants for many years so I always try to be the best type of guest I can, and I usually have a gauge of how slammed staff can be, but judging by the rest of the servers hanging out by the kitchen and not many tables (maybe like 5?) in the bar area, it certainly didn't seem like a WILD night. The service was just not awesome. There was a real lack of care and very much a "Hi, what do you want?"-type mentality. We ordered a Bang-Bang Shrimp (so good, as always!! One of our favorites!) and our first round of drinks, which were fine. My husband ordered the same drink a second time and the bartender came over with the shaker and just poured it into his used glass at the table. Never in all my years (including working at a restaurant in the Braves stadium on a baseball game night) have I ever seen a bartender not get a new glass. We were both kind of shocked. It just all felt very lazy. Anytime the bartender "checked on us" he was just walking by and saying "You good?" but not actually stopping and checking the table, clearing plates/glassware, etc. Again. The reason why this was so shocking was just that hardly anyone was in the restaurant. We kept saying we'd understand if they were slammed, but then he'd just go behind the bar and talk to the other bartender or be on his phone. So, before I start I will say I am a very picky eater. So, I typically ever choose to eat here because they don't have options I like. But they added fried shrimp and a creamy Cajun pasta. So I decided to give them another try. I started with the fried shrimp. Because the items are new I couldn't find any pics online. Let's say I was more than disappointed with them. As soon as I saw them I could tell the breading was burnt and it was maybe cooked with old grease. They were not good and had an aftertaste to them. The Caesar salad was ok at best. I returned the shrimp and replaced it with the Bonefish Pasta (no artichoke or peppers). It was just spicy but not good. The best thing I had was my Shirley Temple. Now to be fair, my friend got the fish and chips and her food looked good and fresh. She said it tastes really good. So it was not all bad. As for service, the server was really friendly until I sent the food back. She wasn't mean or anything it just seemed like she avoided our table because she new the pasta wasn't good. This was my second time visiting Bone Fish Grill and I must say, my first visit was definitely better than my second. The first time, I went with my husband, and we had a very nice time. The staff was great, reliable, fast and friendly, The food was amazing! The overall feel was romantic and cozy. However, my second time wasn't as pleasant! We made a reservation for a party of seven a day in advance.z Once we arrived, the host seemed as if she didn't know we were coming. There was another large party in the back and the host kept looking around the restaurant to see where she wanted to place us. Our table wasn't ready and we had to wait for the staff to set up our table. Our waitress was friendly, but we had to constantly remind her of minor things, such as drink refills and bread! I asked our waitress 4 times for bread and had to get the managers attention for our table to get bread! We also felt rushed by our waitress. Decided to take my 14 year old meat loving daughter out to for an early Thursday night dinner and landed at Bonefish. Yeah, not the place you'd expect, but I had a coupon and we had never been there, so why not give it a go? So happy that we did because we had a wonderful experience and meal. The restaurant was pretty quiet when we arrived, only a few tables were occupied. We were promptly greeted and seated. Jason our waiter then came over and introduced himself and told us about the menu and specials, and took our drink order. Jason brought out some hot focaccia and pesto dipping sauce, which were wonderful. My daughter and I both went with the 8 oz. filet mignon, and both came cooked to perfection. The sides were generous and delicious, especially my string beans, don't know what they did to them, but they were amazing. My daughter said the filet was one of the best she ever had. She polished hers off so quickly and was eyeing mine! I had plenty of leftovers and told her she could have mine the following day. In the end she was happy I made her wait for the leftovers because she got a second fabulous meal the following evening. They do not change the plastic table cloth. They only change the paper cover. The cloth has dirty spots all over, it has bread crumbs on it. It's quite long so it's hanging down on your legs just disgusting... We had to remove it ourselves. Our main server is decent. But the people who brought us water and bread are inadequate. It's two of us sat down, and they brought us one water. Asked a lady what fish is the catch of the day, she has no idea and had to ask. it's almost closing time, you would think they would know after working all day there...asked another lady to remove the table cloth for us, she said I'm just the help, I will go ask your server... The menu consist mainly of fresh flown in wild fish from the valleys of the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. The crab cakes were one of my favourites. Low breading and healthy portions of crab all throughout each bite. On the second trip creativity kicked in and ordered a burger and the salmon over rice and sautéed veggies. Substituted the pasta for rice due to allergy reason. Presentation was great for both but the salmon and rice dish was under the radar. The consistency of the rice and the ingredients did not with stand the wine and seasonings and it overpowered the flavour the fish as well. The burger, good hands down but the bread was cold even after withstanding the heat from the grill. Despite my experience it was still tasty- The bartender Ray is a seasoned veteran in the industry abs made the experience to be remembered while multitasking and helping out the crew with the overwhelming call for to go orders during the dinner hour. Made Reservations for date night seamlessly on the website. Entering the Resturaunt we were greeted by very pleasant staff. Once we were seated our amazing waiter Arionte introduced himself . We tried the Brussels sprout's appetizer which had a spicy sweet sauce that was delicious with little nuts in them. We both drank a smoked Old Fashioned that were amazingly sweet as it was strong with the perfect level of smoke. I tried the filet mignon and shrimp while he had the mahi mahi and shrimp. My steak was a little cooked over the medium I asked for but seasoned well. While the mahi was really good. The shrimp was smoked and seasoned perfectly . I came in to this Bonefish today to eat at the bar. This was the worst Bonefish that I've ever visited. I definitely didn't feel like I was at a high-end establishment. The servers were just average ( They kept going to the wrong person to bring food to), the fish was a bit over, and the bar was dirty. I heard several waiters getting into arguments while I was eating, which was very unprofessional. I think the manager should take a hard look at the staff and the work ethic there. read more

To the management of Bone Fish Grill please have a conversation with your staff about courtesy and accommodation and I'm sure you guys won't be happy when I report the business for denying ADA accommodations. We specifically request not to be sat at a high table and the hostess in the front went on to put us at a high table, we asked another server to move us to a regular table and did so which we appreciated, but the hostess (lady wearing cat eyed glasses) went on to say we are not allowed to move tables. She made a huge scene and was so beyond rude and very unpleasant the whole time we were there. Please take this as a learning experience and do better. Came today with family as we come here for special occasions. But today was just a we were in the area and haven't had bonefish since Valentine's day 2018. We made reservations which is recommended but they also take walk in. The host an older male with glasses and bald head was not very welcoming at all but people have their days so I shrugged it off. As we were seated our server got our drink and app order. I asked for sweet tea but received iced tea simple fix but I had to ask the manager who brought our appetizer to the table because we only saw our server at the beginning and very end of our time here. Everyone who brought something to us was very nice and helpful. I ordered the salmon with the Lily's topping my husband ordered the Lily's chicken. Only draw back with our meal was the spinach it's extremely salty. A new review is well overdue for one of my favorite neighborhood spots. Since covid, I've ordered three times; twice in one week and each time I've gone, the experience has been consistent. The takeout service is great and when they opened the dining room, it remained the same. On my last visit, I was a little disappointed that they didn't have all the ingredients to make their signature Bombay breeze so I ordered a glass of Riesling. And that mightve been on of the best glasses of rieslings I've had. Trust me, I'm a hard critic. For my entree, I ordered their popular shrimp tacos and I was literally full after the first taco. As most regular patrons know, they don't skim on the shrimp. Whew! And you can't forget their bread. The dipping oil is so delicious.
