My favorite local seafood restaurant. The food is fresh & prepared well. Service can be a bit iffy recently compared to how it used to be, but it's definitely worth the trip if you enjoy seafood. Patrons are mostly older, but there are a few families, too. Nice place to take a date. They also have a bar area and appetizers. read more

This was my first time at Bonefish grill. Nice ambiance, it's like a clean red lobster... with much better food! We had a really big group (party of 12), our waitress Aubrey did a really good job, especially since she didn't have any help. I felt so bad for her! The bread they give the table is soooo good, be careful, a minute on the lips a lifetime on the hips. Anyway, I ordered the bang bang shrimp tacos. I love a good shrimp taco, I was pleased. The flavor was good and it tasted fresh. It came with fries, the good kind with the crunch. My husband ordered the 6oz sirloin with mashed potatoes and spinach. They cooked it medium just like he asked, the bite I had was delicious (that's all I was allotted, lol). He also has some merlot, how fancy. Bill came up to about $40. Well just returned from the Bonefish Grille. Boy has that place deteriorated. Nice table but the place was half empty. Our appetizer came quickly but before we had time to finish she brought our dinner. The place was not at all busy but they were rushing us. Had the cucumber margarita and house margarita-overly syrupy and sweet. Had a few sips and asked our waitress to hit it with a splash of seltzer and it was much better!!!! Ordered the edamame with green tea sea salt garnish-good edamame, big brand, nice touch with the green tea sea salt! Would order again. Lunch special of chowder with BFG soft tacos and they were pretty good!!!! Chowder was thick and creamy (how much of that is cream vs flour I'm not sure) but good seasoning and lots of crab meat and veggies. Fish soft taco was perfectly seasoned, grilled to perfection with flaky white fish that's tender and complimented by a wonderful lime and cilantro dressing. My Friday evenings pull me from home on the normal and I thought it would a nice treat to enjoy BG for a takeout dinner. I placed the order with my anticipated wait. I went through their webiste to order online. Followed directions, arrived and parked. Waited and waited. No text, no notification my food was ready. Wow! Must be busy! Double check my confirmation email to discover my order was going to be finished by 8:25. However, it is not 8:43 and I did not receive the 2nd text to bring out my curbside order. No worry, head into the restraunt to find it is NOT very busy. My food had been sitting for more than 20 minutes behind the hostess station and no apology was made for delay or such. No seeking to at least just ask if there was anything else they could offer for NOT notifying me of completion. Mind you, curbside states they will text you and you just let them know what # spot you are parked in. My order consisted of bang-bang shrimp and a cesar salad. Yep, salad was warm and shrimp was room temperature at best. I like to give the benefit of doubt that sometimes oversights happen. Yet, when I stated I had been waiting for another text and was dismissed then along with mediocre food, it is disheartening. Thirty plus dollars later. Soggy shrimp and warm salad. Sad. I was there last Saturday night in a party of 16. I just can't give enough compliments to the servers and kitchen staff. They kept our drinks coming, we all got our food (and it was amazing) at the same time, and we all got our separate checks with all of the correct charges and all at the same time. Sat with my family, party of seven. It was a bust Friday evening at bonefish. I ordered a rum and coke, blue moon, half dozen raw oysters and the Orange Roughy stuffed with crab. No complaints! Food was delicious. The raw oysters were cold and fresh. The Roughy was warm, flaky and has a tasty, crispy panko crust. The waiter was poliet and patient with our large party. Okay so I've waited months to go to the Bonefish Grill because my husband doesn't care for seafood. Yesterday was Valentine's Day and he was feeling sentimental and looked at their menu online and opted for filet. We had a reservation and were seated right away. Warm bread with a lovely dipping oil reminiscent of a tapenade was delivered promptly and was delicious. We ordered appetizers of bang bang shrimp and crab cakes and should have two orders of the shrimp which were spicy and had a great sauce and an ample amount (with enough to bring home). The crab cakes were "meh" and I ordered the Mahi Mahi and it wasn't even close to what it looked like on the menu. It was over-cooked and not enjoyable. My husband ordered the filet and said it was "okay" - he's also a former casino chef so his standards are high. (As an aside - his steaks at home are restaurant-worthy, so I've turned into a bit of a snob when it comes to good steaks!) We understand it was busy because of the holiday, but honestly, our server never came back to refill drinks or ask if everything was okay. We will not return. However I hardly tasted ant bacon and it had a slight pepper spice that I did not prefer. I was hungry so the chop slowly disappeared with water assistance. Now listen I am sensitive to certain spices that I taste. Just because I did not care for it, does not mean you will do the same. We then split bananas foster which was delicious. Chain review: I hate to rate chain restaurants on the same scale as other restaurants so I'm starting out every chain restaurant review with this statement: The review is based on a comparison with other chain restaurants and a 4 star on a chain review does not equal that of some of my other 4 star ratings. I'm not sure why the bonefish doesn't rate higher. I've always had consistently good fish at the bonefish. The last was an Oscar Mahi Mahi. The fish was grilled perfectly and had that nice grilled taste that didn't distract from the fish. I always liked the Au Gratin potatoes and the asparagus was cooked perfectly. The staff has always been friendly and it was nice that the manager came around to see if everything was ok. I picked the chowder to start as it was recommended by the bartender and it was very rich and tasty. The entree was really delicious! Fish was cooked perfectly and the lobster with the cream topping paired with the fish perfectly. It was accompanied with garlic mashed potatoes and cous cous.
