We love this place. Good food, good service, nice clean place. I love the warm bread with dipping sauce we are served. We love the Bang Bang Shrimp and Bang Bang Shrimp tacos but we also order other items. This time I had the Applewood Bacon Mac n Cheese, so good. Also a nice Caesar Salad, always wonderful. It had been years since the last time we ate at Bonefish, and tonight is probably the last time. Everything just seemed off. Bar beverages came before waters and sodas. Side salads came out WAY before our appetizer. And then entrees came out way too fast and we had salads, appetizer, and entrees all on our table. The salads were .... interesting. The Caesar was good, I think, but the salad was warm. The side house had some off flavors and seemed to mix some items that probably shouldn't go together. And it was also warm. My kids all agreed that the mussels were not good. Something about the sweetness of the sauce really did not sit well with my kids. The entrees were okay - no better than other chain restaurants but for twice the price. And the very limited options of non-potato or non-rice sides was very disappointing. The end of dinner was a disappointment too. We had leftovers, which they gave us a recycled paper bag to carry our leftovers in (good) but the actual leftover containers were styrofoam (not good). They need to step up their game on the eco-friendly leftover/takeout containers. Learning experience for us - no need to re-confirm prior impressions about restaurants. The food here is excellent! Wether you're looking for some steak or some fish, you will not be disappointed. Fish was moist and flaky, green beans were perfectly cooked and crispy but not hard, whipped garlic mash potatoes was awesome. The mango sangria was delicious and I thought went great with my food. I had the key lime pie and it was deliciously tart and the crust had nuts in it! The whipped cream was freshly made. The staff was not only attentive to our every need but they were also super nice. We called ahead for seating as we usually do now during COVID. They had an hour long wait but they were able to put us on the waitlist and we simple waiting at home. The drinks and appetizers are so tasty! We shared a filet mignon dish, since we were already getting full. We choose the bacon mac and cheese and WOW! My taste buds were happy. Normally pretty good, but don't get their new power bowls. I got an e- mail with pictures advertising the power bowl. My husband likes them so we went there. It had a very small side of the grain with 5 shrimp. The one side of the bowl was totally empty. We asked about the portion side( which was nothing like the picture which showed the bowl covered with the grain). The waitress said it was all measured out in the kitchen. For $15.50 for lunch they can put some quinoa in the bowl. The waitress asked if it filled him up ( that would be a hard no). He just ate some of mine. Having been here when this first opened, I was somewhat disappointed in the food that was on the menu and never returned. Thought I would give it another go and had the same experience. The menu was not very creative and seemed to be a lot of the same thing that you could get anywhere else with everything being mostly all the same dishes trying to make them high end seafood creations, when the food arrives however it is the opposite. Bland flavors and small portions with a big price tag. With a large party and a wide variety of meals ordered, the consensus was pretty much the same around the table. The only really enjoyed meal was the Bang Bang Shrimp which we got 2 extra orders once we got our dinner. There is great potential here but the execution and almost fear from the kitchen to make bold flavors makes it mediocre. Its trying really hard to be an upscale seafood restaurant with the atmosphere and decor, which it just isn't. Better places for seafood with better prices. I most likely will not return without a really good reason. Only reason I gave 3 stars instead of 2 was the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer and the Key Lime Pie for dessert were actually very good. However, I think the chefs are scared to actually give it to me that way. That being said, I came to Bonefish Grill tonight for my birthday. I decided on the sirloin and crab cake. I ordered my steak for dinner tonight, exactly the way I always do, and when it came, I cut into it, and low and behold, it was raw and room temp in the middle. It. Was. Perfect. I was so excited about "date night" with the folks. This has always been our go-to place for fantastic steaks, and appetizers. However, tonight was a TOTAL miss. I rarely splurge on extra calories, or monetarily, unless we are out with family, or it's a special event. So, with that being said tonight was a complete bust. We ordered martinis that weren't right, any of the three that were ordered! I ordered steak oscar, and didn't get it, I just got the steak. My mom ordered a steak (she always raves about them here), it were full of gristle and fat. We didn't have any utensils until the guy in the back took notice; I am not sure what his position is but he completely picked up on our vibe of not having utensils or plates. He should be a manager, quite honestly. By the way, we were there at 4:30 PM, and they weren't busy the whole time we were there. Our server wanted to question our martini order, and told me she didn't charge me for the Oscar style on my steak so we were fine. What? I've been to Bonefish many times but this time must have been an off night in the kitchen. My wife and father in law really enjoyed their fish dishes. Mother in law and I ordered Sirloin and crab cake dinner with crispy Brussels sprouts. She ordered her steak medium and I ordered medium rare. Both came out extremely rare... almost mooing. We sent them back and when they returned it appears they were thrown back on the grill. So charred on the outside I had to cut it off. Both were now mid rare. Mother in law ate hers even tho it was still too rare for her. Crispy Brussels sprouts were unrecognizable since they were so burnt. I picked out a few that were edible. Bright spot was the manager gave us a free lava cake for our troubles. I was surprised they didn't just put the steaks in the oven to get the right temp. Our experience last Saturday night could have been a lot better, had we not overheard some of the staff talking badly about a group of people that were sitting next to our table. When the group left, the hostess girls and the waiter (who had waited on the table) stood at said table talking badly about the guest, while they cleared the table. I've worked in customer service, so I definitely get the frustrations that come with working with the public. What I do not get is how you can speak so rudely about guests, right in front of other guests. It was very uncomfortable for us to be sitting there hearing that. We joined family for lunch a few weeks ago and I decided to try something I'd not had before - the Cobia Piccata and Shrimp. It's now my favorite Bonefish item. We went to Bonefish celebrate 3 birthdays. My husband made reservations a few days ago and they asked if we were celebrating anything special and he explained 3 birthdays. When we sat down at the horribly placed table for 8 they also asked if we were celebrating anything. As we were telling the waitress - she just walked away. Going here for a table of 8 was a huge mistake. Not only overpriced but the plates were really small portions and an avg of 25$ a plate. The children's plates are bigger than the adults, and they come out cold. My husband had another meal after leaving which he has never done before. Not only was the food blah, but they never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks or addt'l wine. Which we all needed to help wash down the dry, overcooked, overpriced bland food. - she just dropped off the bill. There was a lot of people waiting to be sat and we all felt that all they cared about was pushing us out the door. They pushed us out within a hour for a table of 8 that did not give us any time to celebrate or really even talk. They do absolutely nothing for birthdays, obviously, but treat those customers rudely. I definitely would NOT recommend this restaurant if you are hungry, wanting a good meal with a drink or two, and wanting to celebrate an occasion with family. If you have a party of six or less. Make reservations and request a booth. Otherwise, you are placed in middle of the loud, crowded room with not so good service. After last night we will not be going back. On a positive note: the calamari for an appetizer was good with an amazing sauce that the whole table loved. read more

Bonefish is a bit of a mixed bag for me. When they respect their ingredients, their use of quality fresh fish makes for a real treat. Unfortunately, too many of their dishes are overwrought and over seasoned. I highly recommend making a reservation- you can do same day reservations up until 1 hour before they open. Without a reservation, as many said, you will be waiting an hour on a busy night. The staff at Bonefish are great. They pack people into this restaurant, and yet I was never left waiting for service or drinking out of a half empty water glass. Throughout the meal, you will spy the white-coated wait staff circling around the room, communicating with one another and their tables. Top notch service. I was not really a fan of any of their "signature" menu items. All of them were sugary or salty palate-killers that completely overpowered any other ingredients. The Cucumber Gin cocktail had so much simple syrup that it took me 2 glasses of water to get through it. The sauce for the Singapore Calamari was on the side, at least, so you could moderate how much went on your squid. As a "signature" sauce, I found it flat and one dimensional- no different than your standard sweet-and-sour sauce. My Crab and Corn chowder was better, but tasted more like a peppery white gravy than corn or crab. My wife's crab-crusted pompano was really disappointing. The seasoning in the breading combined with the burnt flavors of over-heated oil to thoroughly destroy any flavor. She could not finish more than a few bites. The moral of this story, and the reason I give them 3 stars instead of 2, is that you will be very pleased if you pick something that isn't accompanied (i.e. overpowered by smothering) with a sauce. I loved the lobster tails- they were well prepared and a great value- two large tails for twenty seven dollars. Their sides showed similar restraint- lightly seasoned rice or vegetables that highlighted the flavors rather than using them solely as a delivery vehicle for some syrupy nonsense. We will probably give Bonefish a go once more and stick to their grilled menu. If you do the same, you will be better pleased than we were. read more

The place is a very dark with a romantic atmosphere. The restaurant had Barry White music playing in the background and one of those fake candles at the table. The staff was pleasant. I went once during it's busy hours and didn't want to wait 1 hour for a table. I finally gave them another chance right when they were starting to open up at 3pm. It was basically only 5 people in the place. The table gets an order of bread with olive oil to snack on while waiting for the food. It was okay, nothing to boast about. I had the corn chowder with crab for my starter, it was sweet for a chowder, but still very tasty. I had the steak with crab cakes which comes with cooked zucchini and asparagus for my extra side. The crab cakes where very moist and came with a sauce on the side, which was basically 1000 Island dressing with some horseradish sauce mixed in. I ordered my steak, medium, it might have been slightly over cooked to medium-well -- but it was still good. The steak was seasoned well, but did have some gristle on it. The asparagus and zucchini were okay, nothing spectacular. I don't expect much from veggies. read more

I'd like to write a review on the food but u fortunately I can't. I understand it's mothers day but be clear with your customers. I showed up not really expecting to get a table for a while. And as expected was told the dining room was booked for the whole day meanwhile as another customer parts $200 to get a table in told the bar area is open seating. So, I turn to look expecting to see no seats available, there's one and only one open. So I make a bee line to it sit down and call my wife who's waiting outside with her elderly mother. And after about 5 minutes the manager (same guy who sent me over here only 2 tables away from the hostess kiosk) confess over and says that we can't sit there is reserved. I said well, you sent me here. He's like , no I meant over there, points to the rest of the bar. Look, if you're full just say so. Instead eating everyone's time. read more

Went on a Friday and was able to make a reservation on their website. For the appetizer, we ordered the saucy shrimp. The flavors in this dish were really good, but there was a little too much oil for us. For our entrees, I ordered the arctic char that was on the specials menu. I had never had arctic char before and I should have asked what it's similar to before ordering it b/c I'm not really into salmon and it tastes exactly like salmon. It wasn't awful but it was not my favorite. My boyfriend ordered the crab stuffed shrimp from the specials which was really good. We also got a side of white truffle mac and cheese and coleslaw, and the mac and cheese was not bad. I did order the blackberry sangria and it was really yummy!!! Great Food. Excellent, friendly and attentive staff. All you really need is the Bang-Bang Shrimp appetizer, and a bowl of the corn crab chowder. Both are excellent and make a decent meal without an entree. We drove 1200 miles to come to Loveland and to enjoy this area and this is the first place we stopped. This has become one of my newest favorite restaurants in the Northern Colorado area. In the past, I had just been here for a drink, and while the drinks were good, I had yet to eat here. A few weeks ago we came here for dinner to celebrate my Mom's birthday. The entire meal was excellent. I had the fresh apple martini, which was one of the best martini's I've ever had. Appetizers were the Bang-Bang Shrimp and the Maryland Crabcakes. For someone who is not a huge seafood lover, I have to say that I loved the crabcakes. For dinner, I ordered the Flordia Cobb salad and it was amazing. Plenty of grilled chicken, fresh bleu cheese, it was all around delicous. We didn't order dessert, but because it was my Mom's birthday, our waiter brought our chocolate covered strawberries which were great. The waiters/waitresses here are nothing short of professional, and definitely deserve every penny of the tips they earn. My brother and I went back a couple weeks ago for dinner, and again, the meal was nothing short of amazing. This time, I had the key lime pie which was fabulous. No interest in returning. Visited on a Saturday at 6:30. We used to frequent this restaurant for a wonderful experience. Not so as they have added so many tables, so close together it could be an escape hazard. Felt sorry for the servers. The noise level was extreme. Could not visit with my guest and since the tables weren't even staggered by the half wall, I was a foot away from another guest, heard her whole conversation. Felt like we were in a mess hall, not a five star restaurant. Server apologized for the delay in food prep. Food was only average. We've never sat in the dining room, and for all I can tell, we never will, we just like the activity of the bar. It was crowded, with a 45 min. wait for the bar booths, but we were invited to grab any seat available at the community table or the bar. Side note--while scouting the bar and community table for a seat I notice a woman with a chair beside her and a purse on it, I generally assume the best in all folk, so I assume someone is sitting there. The rest of the table was fairly crowded with only single spots available. We decide to do a quick run up the street then come back since we were told it was a 45 min wait for a bar booth. When we got back, the lady and purse were still unchanged--evidently this woman thinks highly enough of her purse that it needs to occupy an entire seat on it's own in a crowded bar. How annoying. I go up and ask her if anyone is sitting there," just my purse". (Huh?) So I respond with a very respond with a very nice and friendly "Oh Thank you" and start to pull the chair around to my direction. Please. Blueberry infused Martini and the Pomegranite Cranberry Kir Royale are perfect and refreshing. I can't believe we didn't order the Calamari, it's one of our favorites. And by the way, whenever the waitstaff suggests the Bang Bang Shrimp, I want to puke. My only experience with it was a mushy, tasteless plate of muck. So instead: The Crab Corn Chowdah is tasty, rich, and creamy. The Grilled Salmon and Asparagus Salad was done very well, except for the uneven dressing distribution. The first half of the salad I ate was not dressed at all, and the second half was overly dressed with the tasty citrus vinaigrette. Then fennel is a great addition to the salad, one of my favorite flavors event though when asked I'll tell you I'm not a licorice fan. The only downside of this salad is the length of time it took to get served this dish. It's a salad, people! By 8 pm, the bar had pretty much cleared out, and the bar backs were re-stocking the wine. So we made note to avoid the 6-7 time frame and opt for a later dinner next time, cause after all, Loveland is still a sleepy little town. read more

I don't care if you're a Vegetarian, the fish here is excellent. Do you like cheese? Do you like potatoes? Well then you'd be an idiot not to order the Potatoes Au Gratin as one of your sides. Excellent, although a little salty. The fish? Well being from California, I didn't expect it to be that good. Apparently they fly it in daily. I had the pistachio parmesan encrusted rainbow trout topped with artichokes, basil, and a lemon butter sauce. If that didn't make your mouth water, I don't know what will. The other choices for fish are still excellent and vary in sauces including Pan Asian, Lemon Butter, Veggie Mediterranean, and Warm Mango Salsa. The bread before hand is definitely warm and fresh, along with their nice olive oil and pesto dipping sauce. Appetizers were nice, but my favorite was the Bang Bang Shrimp. Slightly breaded with a spicy cream sauce, these babies were good! Top all this off with a nice X-Rated Passion Fruit Martini, and I will definitely go back. If you're in the area, try it.
