I'm underwhelmed. On the good side, the restaurant is attractive and clean. It was little attended when we were there. Service was spot on, very attentive. Also, with one exception, we were not served anything I would call bad food. We just were not served anything I would call good food.The corn chowder was quite nice. Orange roughy with shrimp and sea scallops sounds very nice. The presentation (with the exception of Garbanzo beans as their featured veg. Who "feartures" chic peas?) was OK. The reality in the mouth was bottom of the barrel shrimp with no flavor accompanied by low-grade scallops similarly innocent of flavor and a side of asparagus which guess what? tasted of nothing. The fish itself was OK, and my wife liked her fish and chips but not the scalloped potatoes she requested in lieu of the fries (which were clearly commercial, previously frozen things). The rest of table was ...meh! The chocolate Crème brûlée was the one horror story. This was chocolate pudding with an extravagant bit of Rediwhip on top. No torch passed over it. It was simply awful. I think we shan't go back. $25 a plate for $13 a plate value. read more

I've eaten here at least four times and twice for Brunch. I've never had an unappetizing dish or poorly prepared dish. Service has always been excellent including today for lunch/brunch. The trout was phenomenal! Cooked superbly along with the sautéed spinach and steamed broccoli. I also ordered a cup of lobster and corn bisque-really tasty. My friends ordered the tilapia imperial and, as always, it was delectable (I took a bite!). This is always a 'go to' spot for me when I want decent seafood. read more

From the lighting, menu, prices and specials it has a higher level of class then what you would expect from an Applebee's, Red Lobster or longhorn Steak house. My wife and I have eaten at this particular location over a dozen times. Seating time is rarely an issue even though they give you a 30-45 minute wait time. The service can be hit or miss depending on whom is taking care of you. They are knowledgable but at times forgetful and careless with your orders during a busy Wed. (Bang bang shrimp specials) or weekend. The food has rarely disappointed. Bang bang shrimp, salads and fish species are choice. If you are looking for a steak, look else where. The cocktail lists are seasonal and offer a different twist to your traditional manhattans and Martinis. For a typical meal for two we spend $50-$60. Hope this helps. read more

We eat here almost every Friday night, but this was the worst experience we've had at this location. We waited over an hour for our food. One dinner was cold, so they took it back to heat it up...making it overcooked. And the sides were changed with the warming to completely different sides that were not ordered. So one of us ate dinner while the other waited...and then we switched while the other ate and first one waited. A young, obviously inexperienced manager came to the table and explained the new computer system. And they comped one meal, but frankly, should have comped both. The only reason for the one star is because they normally do a very good job. Hopefully, this was an exception and not the new rule. read more

I have eaten here several times, and the food and service are usually good. I find it to be a little pretentious for a chain restaurant, from the chef-like attire to the menu printing, and prices, which are a little high considering this place is just one step up from Applebee's. I've eaten at many chains, and this is certainly among the best, but also the most expensive. I've also eaten at many real fine dining restaurants, and this comes nowhere close to those. They do, however, have regular coupon deals, and are worth trying if you don't want to break the bank. That said, if you do want to splurge on dinner out, then you'd be better off paying a fraction more for a fine dining restaurant. read more

I always enjoy this restaurant but for some reason we only go on special occasions. We had reservations for 1:00 and when we got there they were ready for us. My last two visits have made me not want to return. First visit sent my steak back 3 times before it was right. I'm glad I was alone. Night 2 I had a guest. Again the steak had to be sent back. Med. Well dose not mean any version of rare and guess what bone in does not make a difference. The au gratin potatoes were undercooked and the green beans were basically raw. The best part of the meal was the salad. They are always very apologetic but some extended education is definitely needed on proper preparation. We love seafood so thought we would check this place out. We started with the Bang Bang Shrimp and it really is as good as everyone says. I highly recommend it. I had Oscar Mahi Mahi and thought it was just OK. We had the sea bass and tuna and it too was OK. I thought the prices were kind of high for the small portions, but the service was outstanding. I had a bad experience at the bonefish grill on 06/04/2019! I ordered an expensive fish , it came out slightly warm, and I ordered rice with it, it was cold! My husband ordered fish and fries, he said he has eat better at captain dee's. And he ordered a side salad and couldn't eat it because he said it was the worst salad dressing he has ever put in his mouth ! The thing about it was they wasn't busy at all, it was around 8 pm. Horrible service! They where busy at trying to run the sweeper and collect candles from each table , doing chores that are required before closing ! My friend got a bonefish grill gift certificate for her birthday this past week (8.28.2019). Somehow during the birthday party the gift certificate got lost or discarded with wrapping paper and envelopes. Although she has the receipt and bonefish can tell that it has not already been redeemed they will not cancel that card and re-issue another gift card. They said that it is just like cash, you lose it, you lose it. Sorry! In other words "We get your money and you get nothing". I thought restaurants were in the hospitality business. I eat there at least twice a month. food is very good and consistant. The menu changes seasonally in a good way. Bang Bang anything is great here! house salad is always perfect. creme brule is amazing. Drinks especially rasberry martini and mango side car are amazing. I usally set in bar area and most waiters call me by name its so nice seeing same people serving you and going out of there way to make your experience great. I have never had better service anywere and on a regualr and consistant basis. Thank you for a wonderful experience everytime. I have never over paid for anything that i got here. This place was NOT worth the money. I came here for my 21st birthday with my family and order the tuna with eggs. It was so bland and so dry I decided to send it back. Not to mention there was no chimchurri sauce as the described. I decided to order the crab crusted cod to replace it and it turned out to be pretty bland too, with barely any sauce. My wife and I decided to try this place out yesterday for our anniversary. We ordered the bang bang shrimp, really good. Then things fell apart. I ordered the crab-crusted cod. I took the first bite and it was good( outer edge, crispy) I took a second bite a little larger and I chewed on it and figured the taste was just off because I had never had it before, but I looked at the fish and it was completely undercooked; very translucent. Took a while for my server to come back but no knock on him because he was friendly and provided good service overall. He took the plate back and they REHEATED it, the manager brought back the same fish! I've never seen that before. Didn't say anything about it considering food cost and maybe that was a thing. I couldn't stomach to eat anymore. Needless to say I have been throwing up all night and a few times today. It is miserable and praying it stops. I could never return after this experience, might be off of fish totally. Be cautious eating here. read more

Snazzy yet affordable. The night started off very calm and with a smile from the cute hostess. Even just for 2, we got a booth. Promptly approached by a gorgeous server in a white chef coat laced with a smile. Did not rush us, answered every question and had no issue with the multiple requests to make the dinner even better. The wine list is pretty solid but it could use more by the glass options. The food is more than decent. Some items better than others but nothing bad whatsoever. The Ahi sashimi is very nice. Parking was not that easy but whatever. The pricing is pretty fair considering the decor, quality of servers and nice plating and large utensils that make you feel like a freaking king when you hold them. Would I call Bonefish a gussied up Captain D's? No, it's better than that. As a matter of fact, they probably do fish 'n chips as well as anything on their menu (although last time it was a little on the greasy side). I've probably been here a dozen times, the first few of which seemed like a real treat. But some of the luster has worn off and I can't pinpoint why. I can't point to any particularly bad meal or dish. It may be that after that many visits, I can't point to anything really outstanding either, and yet at some of the prices that's what you would expect. The Bang Bang Shrimp and the mussels are good appetizers, but a couple times I've noticed that an inordinate number of the mussels were closed - dead, inedible. This shouldn't be the case. The service has been consistently attentive and helpful. I wouldn't actively discourage anyone from eating at Bonefish, but for the prices I think one can do better here in Lexington. read more

Total damage $50 and that included $9 tip. This was my first time at Bonefish Grill and I gave 3 stars due to the seating. The tables were so close together that the waiters would knock our arms each time they passed by. They forgot things, brought us someone else's food, allowed it to sit for 3 minutes, then came back and realized what they had done and took it to the other table after we had already touched the bowl. The bang bang shrimp was great, but the porkchop dinner had a horrible flavor and aftertaste. I may go back because the shrimp is defiantly worth it. read more

My husband and had dinner here on August 15th. We ordered drinks, an appetizer, salad and then the special sampler platter of fish for two. The salads were delivered before the appetizer so we sent them back. Then while eating our salads the crew tried to deliver our dinner. We told them that we were not ready for dinner yet as we still were eating our appetizer and salad as they stood there wondering where to place the plates on our table. They took the main course back to the kitchen. When we were ready for dinner the fish must have been left under a lamp because it was all dried out. The drinks did not come out quickly--my husband was finished with dinner before his glass of wine came out. It was our second dinner at Bone Fish in Hamburg and both times we felt that their motto is to rush patrons out as fast as possible to turn over tables. It was not very busy the night of Aug 15. We gave the place a second chance and they failed worse then the first time. We will not eat there again. read more
