My wife and I have eaten multiple times at two locations for this restaurant chain here in Ohio. Every time we have had a great meal, or had it corrected to my satisfaction with no problems. They have designed special sauces to accompany their dinners that are very good. You are catered to by everyone you come into contact with, and special requests are met. My favorite inland fish restaurants. 4/15/15 - We went for dinner here to celebrate my birthday since I was after a nice fish dinner. Following a good friends recommendation I ordered their Wood-Grilled Chilean Sea Bass. You can select a sauce to accompany it. Our server Ruth, suggested the fresh mango salsa and offered me a choice of another as well. The salsa is perfectly matched to the flavors of the sea bass, which was grilled to perfection. My wife ordered their Sirloin + Crab Cakes. The kitchen nailed the sear on the steak of medium well. We both enjoyed our meals very much and had a great time dining. Ruth, our server was very attentive to us in spite of it being quite busy at that time. For my birthday Ruth brought me a scoop of vanilla ice cream with a red raspberry reduction drizzled over it, compliments of the house. I cannot express how much I love this place. The food is always stellar. My two faves are the bang bang shrimp and the Chilean sea bass. We have always had great service and we have always made reservations. It is a very busy place and sometimes even runs out of parking in their lot. This is hands down my favorite restaurant! The staff is always super friendly and on it. Our food is always cooked perfectly and hot. i get the crab cakes almost every time, and they are the best I've ever had. The bang bang shrimp is delicious as well! Quick statement. I'm not into seafood. This is a by-far great restaurant when it comes to food. Table of 6, shrimp, Alaskan cod, swordfish, crab, all excellent! Has a great selection of food for your mood, along with plenty of drinks. Service is great, and everyone is kind. Did I mention that the atmosphere is pretty, relaxed, and rather fitting. (That's my opinion though). Our bill was around $150 for us 6, including an appetizer and dinner entries. However, be careful when ordering a soup. The soup was cold, and did not taste good. Have been happy here before but last night...not so much! The Bang Bang shrimp was chewy and tough like it was either over cooked or sat out too long. The Jasmine rice was super dry and crunchy as if it sat out and dehydrated into hardness. Very disappointed. Glad I didn't order my usual Chilean Sea Bass! The only thing decent was the Ceasar salad. Stopped in for a late lunch. Ordered the fish and chips and bang bang shrimp tacos. The breaded fish looked huge but turned out to be mostly greasy breading with very little fish. The soft tacos were fine. Our server, Evan, ran the check in such a way that we couldn't get dining rewards credit. This visit kind of soured us on both bonefish and the dining rewards program. I was really excited to try this place because I have heard great things about it but I was a little disappointed. The atmosphere is nice and casual. The food was good. Nothing special to brag about, just good. Our waitress was wayyyyy to over the top and didn't listen very well. We specifically asked for our entrees to be ordered after we finished our appetizers and salads so we wouldn't have everything at once. She said she understood and hated that herself, but we still ended up with our entrees halfway threw our salads. She was annoying nice and laughed at everything. We went to the Bonefish Grill for the first time Friday night. We loved it. It was a little too dark and that made it a struggle to read the menus. The wait time was supposed to be over an hour but was actually about 30 minutes so that was great. I had two drinks from the bar but they were way over poured with the liquor. They were so insanely strong that I was unable to finish them. The food was UNBELIEVEABLE. Our waiter was great. We will go again but won't order anything from the bar. read more

We usually love Bonefish; however, this experience was pretty disappointing. The waitress was nice enough and did a decent job. The Bang Bang shrimp was good. When we got to our salmon and Shrimp Pad Thai, things changed. The salmon was overcooked, the Asian sauce salty, broccoli steamed to the point it was a pile of sog and the pad Thai was salt laden and soaked in vinegar. The dinners were inedible. The manager and waitress took notice and comped our meal, which was appreciated---but I still think it will be awhile until we visit again. read more

The only reason this gets a 2 is because the server was attentive and tried to make a recovery as best she could considering the disaster that was served up by a kitchen staff that may have been as incompetent as the Titanic crew. Speaking of the Titanic, the Ahi tuna steak (ordered to be cooked at medium well) came out with the inside quite literally (and I'm using the true meaning of the word "literal") as cold as the icy Atlantic waters on that fateful night. How does this happen? No one takes the time to use a meat thermometer to check internal temperature? Apparently not at this establishment. The server, quickly rushed it back to the kitchen. Another individual brought it back minutes later obviously barely warmed up and uncooked on the inside. I again sent it back and by this time my wife was done with her meal. To the server's credit, she took off the entree from the bill and packed up the tuna steak along with sides to take home. This time, they actually did cook it to temperature. I suppose the motto "third time is the charm" is what the kitchen staff goes by? Not sure if anyone else has had this horrible experience there before. read more

Is there a no star? Kidding, actually my boyfriend enjoyed his dinner, and our appetizers and drinks were fine, although service was slow. We were there during the "lucky" time of the year when soft shell crabs are in season. Having enjoyed them before, all over the world no less, mine was bad, and I was ill before we left the restaurant. Now, bad shellfish is nothing to fool with, and since I had quite a violent repeated vomiting reaction, several times within a half hour, it was clear there was a problem. The manager on duty said they had served them all evening without incident, (4pm) and that I must not be familiar with them. After naming a few countries in which I have consumed them prior, he actually rolled his eyes and removed the entree from the check. Such a jerk. If I wasn't leaving for vacation the next morning, still ill-informed would have called corporate. Never again. Nope. It was still over $100 with my entree removed. I wasn't looking for anything free. I expected my food that made me I'll to be removed, obviously-and an apology. That was it. Took my wife and daughter for Mother's day. Not a busy day so we expected good service and did. Disappointed with the Bang Bang Shrimp tacos my wife ordered. Seems as though the recipe has been changed. The shrimp wasn't crisp and the sauce was not as delicious as we remember. My daughter ordered the Sirloin and Crab cakes (upgraded to filet mignon). The crab wasn't in any sort of cake form, more like a lump of mush. She asked for the steak to be medium rare, but the first steak came out well done and very tough. Sent it back and the next one came back more like medium (very little pink) and NOT a filet. Someone did stop by and offered a different meal, but by that time she'd finished her sides and bread and salad, so wasn't hungry. We had to make reservations for too early (for us 5:30 is early) because they were booked. Got there and they had given our reservation away to someone else!!! To some other person claiming his name was John - they did not check the last name and my husband was the ONLY John on the list. Obviously dude had no reservation and probably wasn't even named John. So we waited while the line outside grew for Bonefish to empty and set a table. The meal was okay. Appetizer bang bang shrimp is always great. But I was sick afterward, and had been perfectly healthy before we ate there. Cleared up quickly, so either food allergy or bad fish? Who knows. Not a happy evening. We went to bonefish grill for my step daughters birthday. What a treat!! The waitress was awesome! She was extremely knowledgeable and professional. We have been waiting for an extremely long time to receive service like this. She knew what she was talking about, she had tried many of the items on the menu. Food was OK, but not that great for the price. Salmon was well cooked, sauce was blah. Crab cakes were again OK, but nothing special. The Asian slaw dressing had a hint of rancid oil. The Key Lime Pie was good, not great. The cheesecake had no flavor, no richness, and was topped with ground raw peaches (this was supposed to be peach cobbler topping). Two of our party of six got profoundly ill on the sirloin and crab cake entrée. The check was $207, and they're balking at giving a refund for the two bad meals. We had the best service from our server! Jessie replenished our drinks perfectly; checked with us and our needs without being in our face/conversation. The food came at the perfect temperature and as we ordered it; pleasing to the eye and palate. The only complaint we had was paying extra for a very basic salad rather than taking the "second side" offered. Try the wolf fish ...... GM (J^%$) didn't keep his word! I had spoke with the GM in length last week on either Tuesday or Wednesday about trading out services. He didn't want anything in return and stated that he would just donate a $50.00 gift card for the cause (which we were goning to swap $100.00) and I would need to pick it by Monday. His exact words were "I"ll just give you a $50.00 gift card but you have to get it by Monday because I'll be gone for a very very long time an I am the only who can do it". Of course, I replied not a problem. So I contacted him several times over the next few days but to no avail. I finally got in touch with him on Sunday and would you believe he told me "nope I never said that I said I didn't want to participate because it wouldn't be beneficial and I am not going anywhere I'm here. Never mind that I have all of these noted jotted down in regards to our conversation. Really . . . are you kidding me! Then he wanted to make sure I had to correct location. Of course I do you just said you told me no hmmmmm pretty strange. I have never eaten at Bonefish but because I felt that to be an integrity issue I wouldn't eat here and that's just my preference. As another addition to the 'Bloomin' Brans' restaurant chain they really need to back off and focus on some of their more successful restaurants. We made a reservation for a party of 4 at 1:00 PM. We showed up at 12:45 and the restaurant was fairly empty but was handed the 'buzzer' and told by a young grumpy hostess to wait until it went off at exactly 1:00 PM. What a robot. The service there was fair. Entrees were brought out but it was towards the end of the meal when the waitress finally came back and asked how things were. My medium well steak was cold and very rare and had the quality of a Bob Evans piece of meat. When I got the bill there were other meals on it they we did not order so it was obvious the waitress did not even look at the bill before she handed it to me. I have dined at a lot of different restaurants through out the country but in so far as a chain, I would stick to an Outback or Longhorn. Not at all impressed. read more

I was traveling from San Diego via Philly/NYC/Boston to visit my brother and sister-in-law in Canton and wanted to have a local dining experience at a seafood restaurant, so we settled on Bonefish in Canton. The setting was pleasant and the tone nice. We received menus and were asked our drink orders and since I knew what I wanted for an appetizer, I ordered the Calamari for the three of us. My brother and his wife were asked their drink orders and I awaited to have mine taken.... It was never taken. I thought I'd wait and see if the server would pick up on her error. 10 minutes later their drinks arrived via another server. When our server returned with our Calamari, she saw we had drank most of our water, so she said she'd refill our glasses. But failed to note I did not have a dinner drink. We served ourselves the Calamari [my brother and sister-in-law had not tried Calamari before.] When we tasted it, the breading was SO SALTY I could not taste anything else. I asked my brother if he thought it was salty [he adds salt to almost everything.] "It's too salty for me. Is this the way it is usually prepared?" No. It was also overcooked and very rubbery. We stopped eating it and waited for the return of our server. It was about 10 minutes before she returned to take our orders and I informed her that the Calamari was WAY TO SALTY. Her response was "The spices are mixed together with the breading." I got that! I said again that there was WAY too much salt in the breading and that the Calamari was not acceptable. "OK, I will gladly take it off of your check." I thanked her. She returned to take our orders and at her suggestion, I ordered one of the specials of the day, Wild Caught Salmon. Something I do not get to enjoy very often! Given the choice of the different sauces, I chose the additional priced Lobster Thermidor at $4.00 more. I was really looking forward to this meal since it was a special that Bonefish did not normally offer and the sauce sounded great! Imagine the disgust when the meal arrived and the Lobster Thermidor sauce was... you might have guessed it! Too salty! I chose NOT to say anything for a second time and just eat my meal, since I did not want to hold up or make the dinner with my brother and sister-in-law any more disagreeable. The server returned few minutes later and we were asked, "is everything tasting OK and if there is anything you need at this time?" I asked for the Wine list. [She, still not noting that I didn't have a drink from the initial order, brought out the Wine List.] I ordered a Pinot Noir. It came a few minutes later, very chilled. We finished our entrés and chose not to have dessert and asked for the check, which came 5-10 minutes later. When it came the Calamari was still on the check. The server returned 10+ minutes later with another copy of the check and exclaimed: "Oh, sorry about that, THIS is the check with the Calamari removed." [My sister-in-law, someone who does not make waves, noted that this was very "strange".] If I had just placed my credit card in the check cover and not reviewed my bill, would I have been charged for the inferior appetizer? Who knows, but I will not be eating here again any time soon. [BTW, since tips are usually "shared" by the wait staff with the kitchen and bussing staff at most places, I paid the customary tip -- I did not "take it out on them" -- thus this review.] read more

One of our favorite restaurant chains but the North Canton location is seriously lacking in the bar area. We were told it would be about 20 minute wait for our table so we went to the bar for a drink. We quickly figured out why one end of the bar was empty.....bartender was terrible! He could only wait on 1 couple at a time so we had to wait while he slowly made one drink for the first couple, got a draft beer and glass of wine for the next couple, washed glasses, talked about doing shots with his friends, and generally screwed around before he was able to take our drink order. He finally got our Coke and raspberry martini, the martini class was wet from being washed just before making the drink (I can only imagine how much water was IN my drink), and tasted terrible. I asked him to remake the drink but our table was ready before he could get it made. The second drink was only slightly better. Truly disappointing. We'll pass on this location for future visits and head towards Cleveland. Twenty minutes to wait for a drink when the bar was half empty on a Saturday night.......should have known there was a problem. read more
