We liked the brussel sprouts but everything else was just ok. The manager was great though. They the cake off the bill because it's my birthday. 5/24/25 PM: We came to Bonefish for dinner. Bread came to the table right away with a delicious olive oil sauce. Our server, Chris was absolutely great. He explained the updated new offerings. The new menu did look great. My BF ordered Lilly's chicken which he enjoyed. I ordered Seabass. Initially, the Seabass was delicious. Here's the downfall: Monday AM, I started experiencing stomach issues which have continued through today. In my opinion, it was due to the fish. Went on a Friday night at about 730. No wait. The food is always decent. Tonight the tomatoes were not good on my salad. Lettuce seemed not as fresh as always. The grilled pork chop was tasty. The broccoli and asparagas were just average. A little too soft maybe overcooked. A good sweep or vacuum is definitely needed under the tables. That's definitely an easy fix. I only had seltzer water. It did have many other tables full so that's a good sign. Dana was a sweet waitress. Took a while to take the order and eventually bring the check. Pretentious and decidedly overpriced for what you get. While it's a nice touch, don't let the servers wearing chef coats fool you. While our server seemed knowledgeable and quite outgoing, the veneer is quite thin. Although many of their entree prices might lead you to think that Bonefish Grill is a Michelin rated restaurant, the dining experience says otherwise. We think that their tablecloths are a metaphor for the overall dining experience... Disposable paper tablecloths, with vinyl underneath. There was a parade of seemingly lost or confused servers, going from table to table, not knowing where they were supposed to bring food to. Calling it disorganized is being kind. Then there were the apologies for running out of clean glasses, forcing our server to take back our glasses when some of us wanted another round of sodas. While the food was decent, portions were barely adequate. For example, what their menu describes as jumbo shrimp came nowhere near resembling that description. Sides could have been a bit more generous, as well. The bottom line... There's a reason that most Bonefish locations only garner around 3.5 stars out of five. Bonefish Grill is a higher-priced chain restaurant that promises an elevated dining experience, but fails to deliver. You get paper tablecloths at linen tablecloth prices, and you might leave hungry. One last thing... Don't be too impressed with the response these reviews get from restaurant management. Our less-than-stellar review elicited an immediate reply from management, so it appears that any less than perfect reviews get an automatic response that might fool one into believing that management read the review and is genuinely interested in investigating your concerns, when in reality, the reply came from the Yelp algorithm. read more

My family ordered takeout for Mother's Day and we were disappointed. We ordered two bowls of the corn and lump crab chowder. What we got was a cup size and it was so spicy it was inedible. Some people do not like to dine alone. As someone that is a bit introverted I actually enjoy dining alone at times and so it was when I dined at the Bonefish Grill during my last visit. Arriving at my usual diner hour (3-4 pm), I was immediately seated and offered the bar area or dining room. I was the first customer of the day. Dining alone in an empty restaurant is carrying isolationism to the extreme. I ordered the Maryland crab cakes as an appetizer. Two crab cakes with a red remoulade sauce (spicy) $18.90. This crab cake is house-made and I enjoyed it. Waiting for the crab cakes the attentive waiter (Joey) brought out complimentary hot bread with a serving of olive oil, chopped basil. Frankly, I could have had multiply servings. I was careful not to spill any of it on the white table cloth. To finish my meal, I ordered the "Rainbow Trout". It came with jasmine rice and garlic whipped potatoes both were very flavorful. The :Rainbow Trout" came out hot. It is a mild fish so seasoning is important. It was perfect and so flaky. If you want a seafood diner don't go to Reb Lobster or spend crazy money down the New Jersey shore. read more

We started the evening with drinks -- an Apple Martini for my wife and a Smoked Old Fashioned for me. Both were excellent, balanced, and well-prepared. For appetizers, we had the Bang Bang Shrimp and the Tempura Crunch Sashimi Tuna. The tuna was very tasty and fresh, while the shrimp, though good, seemed to have a little less "bang" than I remember from past visits. For entrées, my wife ordered the Scallops & Shrimp Scampi Pasta, and I went with the Pan-Asian Butterfish. Both dishes were flavorful, well-portioned, and beautifully presented. But the star of the night was our waiter, Tyler R. He was outstanding -- attentive without being overbearing, personable, and genuinely skilled at what he does. His personality really shines, and he turned what would've been a good meal into an excellent dining experience. I even overheard another table complimenting him on his service. When my husband walked in the house with the food I could smell the fish from the room and when I tasted the shrimps it's taste like it was from a week before they cooked it. Let me start by saying the food was really, really good Food quality would get 5 stars alone. Drinks were good as well, but let's face it - they were an entire glass of ice and very little drink. They were happy hour prices, perhaps that's why. Service was good - drinks were brought quickly, warm bread came next, and then our appetizer. The Bang Bang Shrimp was hot, crispy and delicious. Unfortunately, we only had a couple of bites before our entrees came out. When Kristen brought our entrees, I told her that we just got our appetizers. She ignored us, and what I had just said, and handed the plates with our entrees to us since our plates with the appetizers were still in front of us. We had to hustle to move our plates and appetizer out of the way. That was really the only thing that tarnished our visit. They provided free, hot bread with pesto dipping oil, and we ordered Bang Bang Shrimp and calamari for appetizers. The appetizers were so delicious that I would've been happy with eating just those for dinner. I ordered the cod imperial with garlic whipped potatoes and broccoli (seasonal vegetables), and I definitely understand why this dish is a Bonefish favorite! The lemon-caper butter was a tiny bit on the salty side, but it was easily balanced with the broccoli and potatoes, and I would definitely order it again. We had the macadamia nut brownie as the perfect finishing touch for this delightful meal. The waitstaff was also extremely professional and attentive. Huge parking lot and a beautiful little outside waiting area. I came with my mom for dinner a few nights ago. We were stunned to see their new Bangin Dinner option. For $55 you get two salads, an order of bang bang shrimp and two choice of entrees. This deal is seriously out of this world, so worth it. The house salad with the slight citrus vinaigrette was so tasty and fresh. The bang bang shrimp is as always delicious. We both decided on the wolffish entree and it was such a great choice. This special was so good. With the lobster roulade and their signature sides, it was the perfect meal. Our server was great too, very courteous and attentive. Normally we enjoy this place in Brick. We went Saturday early evening 5:30. Our server was lovely but overwhelmed. She said she was a bartender. She kept apologizing. The food was bland and flavorless and the order was incorrect. We over heard the next table send a lobster back because it was actually raw in the center. The service that our group received from our waiter was 5 star service. We are so grateful to our professional server, Mitch! He really made my dear friends birthday celebration special. The food is OK but waiter service exceptional. We started with the shrimp, feta appetizer. It was great to accompany the freshly baked bread. The appetizer came with an abundance of sun dried tomatoes and shrimp in a small cast iron skillet. The shrimp were not fishy and it was great to have while waiting for dinner. The appetizer was slightly on the greasy side...I would have preferred less grease. Because of the grease, I probably would not order in the future. I was unable to order a whole lobster, but they did offer a two lobster tail meal (about $36 for two tails, two choices of sides). The lobster presentation was beautiful and it was cooked perfectly. The lobster tails were accompanied by a warm lemon wedge. I was very much so looking forward to having some mashed potatoes. It was scooped by an ice cream scoop (while some may like this presentation, I do not care for this). They were perfectly smooth and creamy. Needless to say, we could have had a slightly larger portion, better presentation, and slightly more flavor. The string beans were plain steamed and had a bite (I enjoyed this but nothing special to write home about). It is perfect for the person that likes the all american classic cuisine. To list a few of the sides the restaurant offers: fries, mashed potatoes, rice (jasmine?), sautéed spinach, seasonal vegetables. They also had some premium sides with an uncharge. Another person in our group ordered the lobster tail with a steak (+$8 to add for mignon). She had ordered her steak medium well and it came more in the rare side. If we would have told our waiter, he would have been extremely apologetic and would have made it right - but we did not mention this as we did not want it to be burned. The cocktails selection and presentation is gorgeous. I had a Manhattan! I looked around the room and saw a various selection of cocktails being served. Very well organized service and social distancing, staff all wore masks and plenty of hand sanitizer was available. My second time here, ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp which was delicious. I was starving and wound up eating every last of these scrumptious shrimps! For my entree I selected the Georges Bank Scallops & Shrimp. I was a bit disappointed on the serving size, only 4 small sea scallops with 5 shrimps. The accompanying lemon butter sauce wasn't very lemony tasting but still good. I think just one more scallop would have been appropriate. My garlic mashed potatoes had a strange smooth texture and not too much of a garlic flavor. The sautéed spinach was good but could have been drained before serving-too much liquid in the serving dish. My dining companion had the beef and ginger potstickers which she said were very good. Her entree was the center cut sirloin of course cooked "well-done", I know smh! Her steak came out a very medium bloody rare and had to be sent back to finish cooking it. We finished with a dessert of the special chocolate lava cake which was bigger than usual very tasty but not a whole lot of lava. Our server was very attentive as were the other staff. My husband and I love wining and dining and do so often. Imagine the surprise 7 hours after a night out I have to call 911 due to an anaphylactic reaction. Later finding out due to a lone star tick bite I'm deathly allergic to mammal, dairy, butter anything mammal related. Why should I tip if Im driving and walking into your restaurant to pick food that I paid for. Are you charging me for preparing it or what is the tip for exactly?.
