Being from the New Haven area I had a high bar they need to hit and they did. Perfect thin crispy crust with a touch of char and the right ratio of mozzarella to a delicious sauce with some salty parm to cut the sweet brightness of the tomato sauce. Bonus, it was even cut New Haven style with imperfect small to medium slice size. I don't know if they adjusted after Portnoy made his comment about the slicing style, but well done! Now for the chicky chicky parm parm.... Exceptional - What a huge surprise, delicious crispy thin chicken cutlets topped with delicious creamy vodka sauce and melted mozzarella. I then contacted Toast, the platform used for the order, and was told they could not issue the refund and that I needed to contact the restaurant. I called Dough again, explained the situation, and offered to send a photo. I made it clear that I was not trying to get free food. I simply wanted the correct order. After being placed on hold, I was told that the melted cheese on the pizza was the burrata and that this was how they prepare it. I am including a photo because I have never seen burrata served this way on a pizza. Mistakes happen, but the way this was handled was incredibly disappointing. I was passed back and forth, offered no reasonable delivery replacement or refund, and ultimately told that the pizza was correct despite what was delivered.
