Overall good experience brussels sprouts were out of this world. Salmon was a 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend this place.

Hi Just to start we never have a bad meal at Bonefish Grill, so today we went for my Birthday dinner, I ordered a blueberry lemon drop martini and let me tell you that save my night, for starters Bang Bang shrimp always good, for entree my husband Oder Grouper special and I ordered grouper sandwich, omg the fish was under cooked and bad tasted, ( I never sent anything back, but I feel that would be food poisoning), and honestly didn't look like grouper to me, so my husband ordered fish and chips it was ok and I ordered trout on special, broccoli and coleslaw bad taste,horrible again, fish dry and not fresh, server was good and apologetic, they gave me a free dessert NY cheesecake I just took a one bite, wouldn't order that. We just got the bone today not the fish , maybe just maybe cook hade a bed night or fish supply is not good, but would go there again paying a lot for not good food. read more

I went to Bonefish Grille in Sarasota for a glass of wine after shopping. I ordered a chardonay is was awful. When I told them they said they changed the wine. I was still charged for this awful wine and was disappointed as they kept telling me that they had changed the wine. I drank it and as far as customer service they seemed indifferent to my comments. I will never go there again as usually I have wine with my dinner and was expecting the quality of the previous chardonay. read more

I did curbside carry out. Family meal of grilled chicken with garlic mashed, Caesar salad, bread with olive oil, and of course the cookies. Still the best and largest portions you can get for a carry out around any town. Everything was cooked properly and tasted very good. Went with the lemon butter add on sauce for the chicken. It was very filling for 2.5 people. Could easily feed 3-4 People. Would recommend and at $34 with tax and tip, it's a steal. read more

The bar is first come, first serve. Downer was definitely the tight squeeze of all the smashed together bar stools. Better like your neighbor. We opted for apps and dessert since we weren't starving after a day of snacking around the city. We did edamame and bang bang chicken (p.s. you can totally swap the shrimp to chicken on this popular dish). Everything was good. High five on the red sangria which had black berries and raspberries! The donut dessert is a must try. You get mini "injector" bottles with your choice of sauce. We did both chocolate and caramel. Our waitress was outstanding! We did not wait long to be seated, and the pace of the meal was excellent! Our food was delicious also! The restaurant was quiet and they adjusted the shades to block out the setting sun and let in the evening light! Great restaurant, atmosphere and excellent service. Our waiter, Van, was thoroughly educated on the menu itself as well as the contents of the food itself. He has a welcoming personality and, although we know we weren't, he made us feel as if we were his only customer. Van was on point throughout our dining experience. His level of customer service is the kind that makes you want to return, in addition to the flavorful meals. Typically Bonefish is consistent with their food preparation, but last night wasn't the case. My shrimp and scallops were over done gummy and chewy. Then when we go the check I was charged $18.50 per glass of wine for a 9oz. Pour. On the menu they charge $9.00 for a 6oz. Pour for the same brand. So in other words if got 1/3rd more for double the price? I called the manger and he adjusted the check. Our server was a little pushy like he wanted us out quickly. We went here for lunch. Only three tables were seated...nice and quiet. Waitress was friendly, knowledge and helpful. We ordered a house salad, bang bang shrimp and fish and chip. Everything was delicious. We had to take some home because the quantity was too much. One nice thing is that we ordered club soda instead of a drink and it turned out to be free, even though they filled it few times. The restaurant appeared to be clean which was great! The service was good, but the food was just so-so. I got the pasta with shrimp, the shrimp was excellent but there were only 5 and they were not that big. The pasta was ok but the meal itself was just not enough shrimp and pasta for the price. Most places I eat half my food and that's plenty of food (I end up with leftovers), here the portion was more like a lunch portion and I ate it all and was still hungry and so I ate the bread that came with the meal (which was also not great). This was a dinner portion at dinner prices. I was a bit disappointed and don't plan on going back. The shrimp was delicious though and if that meal had a few more then it would have been much better! Was not really impressed with the service. Steak was tough and the food was less than warm when it got to the table. Oh did I mention that the staff accidentally dumped two full glasses of water into my lap. You would think they would at least comp my drink or dinner since I had to sit in the booth with wet pants. We first had bonefish in Harrisburg Pa the night of our wedding 5 years ago today and every year it has become a tradition on our anniversary. This year we are in a new state and our first visit to bone fish on tamiami was one that can not be beat. We were seated immediately. The waitress Carrie was super friendly and accommodating. The manager bill heard it was our anniversary and personally came to congratulate us and gave us a brief history. We were more than impressed and the food....There are no words. So amazing. Crowded on the Wednesday night of easter week. Despite being told a 20 minute wait for a booth, we were seated in less than 5 minutes in one of the 4 open visible booths! When will restaurant owners tell their hostesses that live people should be given more attention than a computer screen? Two ladies at the desk were more focused on their screen than greeting us. Luckily after we were seated, Matt was our server and took great care of us! We were there early enough for happy hour cocktails that did not disappoint! I chose the price fix special of shrimp and scallops hotpot that was great! Side Caesar was not overdressed, entree was great and the mini-doughnut/beignet dessert was a great finish to the meal. I am finding it hard to decide how to rate this place. The decor was nice. Good ambiance. Nice wait staff. But I have to say that one look at the menu and I couldn't stop thinking about all I've heard over the years about overfishing, damage from drag netting, mercury concentrations. A quick look online found just about every fish on their menu listed in a "do not eat" list. Then I just felt dumb for going to a seafood restaurant. I just can't recall feeling quite so acutely aware of the absence of any mindfulness about oceans in crisis and our need to be thoughtful about what we're supporting. Food was OK. Good, but felt like artfully prepared Sysco stuff. Fried stuff, sugary dipping sauces, cheesy sauces. Beautifully cooked tuna steak, admittedly. Just not for me, I guess. Wished there'd been at least a small bit of evidence about the frailty of the seas. I mean, swordfish on the menu and featured as a special? Really? Clearly many people like this place and there's much to like. But if you prefer an approach that is closer to ethical or food that is inventive or unusual, this is not the place. Love Bonefish. Usually come every Sunday for Brunch with my kids. Servers are great in the bar area. Today came to meet some friends on Friday evening, Ordered sashimi Tuna and got the creme brûlée for dessert (I love the creme brûlée; though the sugar crust on top isn't warm because it's not made to order.) Our server tonight was Donald and he was very friendly, welcoming and very attentive. Had great conversation and helped us with the dining rewards program that they have. Three of us ordered the grilled Oscar Grouper special, smaller portion then expected, on the dry side, and not to grilled. The creamed spinach that came wit the chicken lily dinner had a weird taste. Pina Coladas that were ordered were weak in alcohol, some more rum would have been nice. We ordered a family size caeser salad, which was probably for two people, not six, pretty skimpy. We have spent half an hour on the phone talking to different customer service reps trying to resolve the situation. Everybody was somehow polite but absolutely not helpful, until my wife finally had had enough with restaurant hosts and was able to speak with a manager, Ms Britany. That was completely different experience. She not only Listened but also not afraid to take responsibility for incompetent employees but also actually resolved the issue. Had an Uber Eats order delivered today ... The delivery time effected the "freshness". I informed Uber Eats of the process and the problem. The burger was undercooked and I'd get more fries in a medium order from McDonald's. I didn't order the Bang-Bang Shrimp sauce on the side and was disappointed with the results ... Not good. The highlight was the roll ... Wow. I still tipped enough "bread" anyway ... 18%. Oh well, live and learn. Terrible service yesterday which was 3/2/21 at 11:30 waited 45 minutes for our food chicken fingers, crab cake appetizer, boom boom shrimp, my tuna appetizer that I sent back which I can't believe took so long to get to our table, our waitress Mary who has been there for 7 years seemed upset because we only ordered appetizers & no cocktails, plus she didn't give us settings until I asked for them , left our salad empty plates on our table until our meals came maybe she was having a bad day & I get that which is why I gave her the tip required for $66 didn't want to make her day worse then it possibly was plus food coming real late not her fault I think. Goodbye Bonefish. Our occasional restaurant stop. The two of us came in at about 7, and were shown a booth for eight in the darker bar section in the back. I asked for another table and got a booth for 4 in the brighter section (with its fleet of empty tables! ) We waited for the wine before we started our soup. The tasty entrees came, the server not caring that we had just started our soup. We sent them back--to wait a bit. The Key-lime cake was dry, and I left half. The server suggested a brownie. On a visit went on a Saturday night around 5 pm we had made a reservation for 7 which had to get approved by management to make the reservation kind of strange. Decor very nice the tables were a little tight together in the center hard to walk past and if people sat behind you tight to sit down . I was very impressed with menu and selections. They had happy hour wine $4 and it was pretty good. There was a special for 2 for $55 included shared shrimp appetizer great fish entree choices I got the swordfish and pumpkin ravioli and spinach fish was cooked perfect and it was s good portion size. We shared the brownie for dessert which was a flourless brownie and very good. They did forget an asparagus side we ordered and charged us for it so had to have that removed from bill.
