7/5/26 I had not been there in some time, have missed having their Eggs Benedict on Sunday. I decided today that I had a craving for calamari and phoned in my order. The phone staff was great, got to talk to a couple enthusiastic staffers....obviously enjoyed their jobs. I had a special request and was put thru to Skye...she was great about answering my questions. I drove over to pick up my order, got to meet a few of these staffers, and met the manager, Michael. Having done hotel training for Cornell University hotel students, I felt right at home. Went to Bonefish yesterday for a delicious late lunch with my mom! We were seated and our server was very friendly and efficient. We arrived during their "social hour" and ordered crispy cauliflower as an appetizer and they were INCREDIBLE! The sauce they'd used was sweet and tangy and it balanced perfectly with the cauliflower! For my main I ended up ordering two more things off the social hour menu because everything looked great! I got crispy pickle chips and bang bang chicken! Both were delicious, although I would have liked my pickles a little crispier. My mom had the cedar plank salmon and she said it was cooked perfectly. Over all it was a clean restaurant and a pleasurable dining experience with delicious food! I will be back, thanks bonefish! This was a seriously wonderful experience this evening. Our server Sami could easily be the best server we have had at a bonefish so far. And we are frequent visitors. We started off with bang bang shrimp. Have not had them in quite a while and forgot how absolutely delicious they were. We will definitely order them again. Keep in mind the serving is very generous, order accordingly. We had Lilly's check in, crabcakes and a shrimp with pasta special for our main courses. Each one was better than the next. We attended their monthly 4 course dinner for the first time. Overall I would say it was a good experience and vibe with the communal style dinner. The food was really good and the service was ok. Only real negative thing was the fact that the drinks are a bit deceiving in how it's advertised. As you can see in the picture the drinks are full and while some Cups were smaller in size they still weren't even close to full. My favorite drink the Matcha Colada was the most disappointing as far as quantity. read more

Really enjoyed the Bang Bang Shrimp and fresh fish dishes. Prices are a little high, but the quality is good.

I frequent Bonefish Grill often, but recently went for brunch and it was just as good as always. The crab frittata with breakfast potatoes was really yummy and full of flavor. Their pineapple martini is hands down my favorite and never disappoints. The bread and oil is always soft and fresh, which I appreciate every time. We ended with the flourless chocolate cake and it was surprisingly fluffy and rich without being too heavy. The staff is really friendly and our server was attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, and perfect for both brunch or a casual night out. Consistent food, great drinks, and a spot I'll keep coming back to. read more

My wife and I stopped by for lunch for a special occasion. I will be up front; part of the reason we didn't have a great time was our own fault. First off, we didn't look at the menu closely enough before choosing to eat here. My wife is vegetarian, and there were virtually zero vegetarian options. She cobbled together a meal out of sides. The risotto and butternut squash ravioli that she ordered had a bunch of loud, clashing flavors I didn't care for, but she found her meal to be ok. Our second mistake was in what I ordered. I had the bang bang shrimp and the fish and chips. Ordering two fried dishes was not a pro play; I was able to eat less than half of my food before I felt too full and frankly sort of sick. The fish was very heavily breaded and super oily. I had to nap it off when I got home and I still felt poorly 4-5 hours later. I forgot my leftovers (a ton of food) on the table. Definitely not the first time I've done this, but the first time I've felt relief instead of disappointment. I'm glad we had a gift card because I felt like the prices were a little high for what we got. Especially egregious was the five pieces of steamed asparagus for $5.50. All in all, I cannot blame the whole negative experience on the restaurant, but I still won't be back. read more

Came here for Saturday lunch. Place wasn't very busy, so we were seated immediately and service was very attentive and friendly. We got bread as soon as we sat down, and it was super tasty! We loved the bread. I had chicken from the grill and loved it. You can select other protein from the grill and select your own sauce and 2 different sides. Everyone in the group ordered from the grill. For sides had potatoes and asparagus, both were great. Ambience is pretty nice and modern. Had a very nice lunch with my husband at this location. It has been several years and many states since going to a Bonefish and I don't live close to one so I was glad to give it a try. The server was nice and welcoming and brought delicious hot bread and took our orders promptly. He brought the food and it looked delicious. Was plated beautifully. We both had the grilled shrimp with Mexican street corn. And that was the end of the service until the bill arrived. No check on us and definitely no offer for another beverage. I could be more understanding if the restaurant was even close to being busy but it was almost deserted. I will say the food was outstanding and it was quite a nice portion. I'm still trying to decide if I would return based on the significant lack of service. I really wanted that second glass of wine! read more

The food at Bonefish Grill is always exquisite. The house salad has delicious hearts of palms and peppitos. The scallops were on point as was my mahi mahi. Our waitress was friendly and prompt. She was even kind enough to offer taking our photo for my husband's birthday. She surprised us with a complimentary dessert. The restaurant has nice ocean decor and a nice wine selection as part of the decorations. My only complaint was that the waitress had a hard time hearing us because of all the background noise. Grabbed a quick bite to eat at Bonefish on our way to a show. Happy we were able to snag two seats at the bar on a Saturday night, and were promptly greeted by 3 bartenders. André created a well-balanced Grey Goose Cosmopolitan for me. Bar quickly filled up. Don't pass on the bread. It's delicious and served with an EVOO with pesto. Yum. I have ordered extra with takeout in the past. We ordered. A couple seated after us received their salads quickly. A while later and to our dismay, our hot appetizers and salads arrived at the same time. We felt rushed and had very little room for the many plates and drink glasses. The timing could've been better. I ordered the pumpkin ravioli side, not the fried appetizer. However, I forgot to modify it by removing the scallions and the crispy onions. Take my word for it, the amount of scallions and crispy onions is a lot. Also, the flavor is stronger than the pumpkin. Consider 86'ing. The apple harvest salad of spinach and goat cheese was fantastic. There's a kinda' slaw in it and sunflower seeds. It's by far the most roughage I've had lately. Welcome to flavor town. I recommend it. This is a decent chain restaurant famous for its Bang Bang Shrimp. If it's nearby, it might be a good choice for you. Will I return? I might. Is it my go-to? Nah. read more

Bonefish used to be one of my top three favorite places to go out for dinner. My son and I spent many a night enjoying dinner at one near our home. But in recent years I haven't visited as much, but I've had a gift card in my wallet for two years now, and decided to join a friend here for a late lunch. We ordered the new crispy cauliflower appetizer, and that was great! I would go back just for this. For our entrées, my company had the shrimp scampi, and I had the ahi tuna Poké bowl. Neither of us were crazy about our entrées. They weren't bad, they just weren't that great either. So we decided to use our gift card at Bonefish Grill for lunch after church today. It was not busy so the timing was perfect. We ordered Bonefish for dinner tonight. The worst meals we have ever had from there. I ordered the special called shrimp udon. The noodles tasted doughy and the sauce tasted like something from a frozen bag. We also ordered two orders of the tempura crunch sashimi tuna. What a mistake. The tuna was so overcooked and the they put so much garnish on top of it, I guess to hide the fact that it was overcooked. We spoke with the manager Missy, senior manager and she gave so many excuses but never offered to make it right. She even went to say the shrimp udon comes in frozen. My friends and I embarked on a monthly dinner outing featuring exclusively classy chain restaurants and second on our list was bonefish. A clear fav favorite and one that did not disappoint. Found in most major and minor cities in the south usually on the edge of suburbia one can find some fresh fish, cocktails, and ambiance in a neighborhood near you. As synonymous as hot is to a flame we started with bang bang shrimp at bonefish. Both tasty and visually appealing piled high on a bed of lettuce coated in that all to familiar tangy bangy sauce. For the entree I kept the shrimp theme going and moved over to a shrimp linguine. Honestly, the pasta lacked flavor, but the shrimp were both of good size and portion. My biggest surprise on the evening was the smoked old fashioned. A very respectable WoodFord reserve was featured and delivered under the shroud of a goblet of smoke providing the theatrics that bonefish has been known to deliver. At $13 I was quite impressed. Is bonefish one of those local dive seafood spots with the boat parked our back? Certainly not, but you know this is a reliable pick in almost any city. read more

My husband and I met a group of friends here for a Sunday lunch. Some arrived very late and the server was very kind and patient about that. While we waited, they started using off with a buttery bread and an herbed olive oil for dipping. This was very delicious and addicting, but also a bit salt. When our friends finally arrived (8 of us), we ordered our entrees and patiently waited a very, very long time. Karma I suppose. I ordered the Mahi-Mahi and Shrimp with Chimichurri Sauce, Jasmine Rice, and steamed green beans. It was a light meal and I enjoyed it very much. My husband ordered the Grilled Atlantic Haddock special with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and spinach. His fish was more flavorful than mine and his sides were OK. Overall it was a fairly healthy meal and price was decent for seafood. The problem came when it was time to order dessert. I ordered the Key Lime cake and asked if there were any nuts in it because I'm allergic to walnuts and hazelnuts. The server checked and when he returned he told me there were tree nuts. When I asked which ones, he said the package only listed tree nuts as the ingredients. I then asked if the carrot cake had walnuts (in my experience 70% of the time they do). The server went to check and had the same response saying it contains tree nuts. At that point I reminded myself that this is a chain restaurant. I was still disappointed because I had hoped the desserts were baked/made at their facility, which it clearly wasn't. I finally asked for a cappuccino... wait for it.. the espresso machine was broken! The server was very nice, but wow.. failed 3 out of 3 for dessert. We ended up getting dessert and espresso at a dessert spot 5 minutes north from this restaurant. 3 stars was the best I could rate this first experience. I'd like to go back again another time. It is a cute restaurant with pleasant staff. The seafood tasted good, though not outstanding. Now that I know the desserts are not made in house, I won't plan on staying for dessert. read more

The specials are always worth a try. The salmon is always my favorite if I don't feel adventurous. Last week, two colleagues and I met at BoneFish Grill in north Tampa for dinner. Tia greeted us as our server for the night. It was a quiet evening. One of our colleagues expected the Bang Bang Wednesday night special. Tia wasn't familiar with the special. She had started working there less than a month ago and hadn't heard of it, but she gladly offered to check for us. Shortly, she returned to give us the news that the Bang Bang shrimp special is offered daily during Happy Hour now. We ended up ordering from The Land section of the menu. One person ordered Lily's Chicken, another ordered the Half-pound burger and I ordered Fontina Pork chop for the very first time. I asked her if it was possible to order the porkchop well done and tender at the same time. She gave a great big grin and said of course we can do that! And let me tell you, the chef nailed it! The chop was extremely tasty and tender even away from the bone. Thanks chef! Tia provided excellent service throughout the evening! She was very attentive, glancing at our table to anticipate our needs. We were really surprised that she had only worked there for such a short time. The Blackened Fish had a sear, well seasoned and lordy, they added a lot of fresh veggies from cabbage to my fav. - fresh diced mango! I asked to substitute French Fries for Broccoli for a healthier option - def. Paid a premium for each taco and I'd order it, again! :) The Ginger Beef Dumplings were very impressive in how it was dressed from fried onion to tomatoes & scallions on a bed of cabbage - HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I don't usually like chains, but Bonefish is consistent in delivery of FRESH food. In the past, pre pandemic we ordered Happy Hr. Drinks + Apps when they had a wider range of offerings...miss that! My hubs has ordered their Smoked Ole Fashion - they deliver it and remove the top off of the drink, so you can get the full experience of the smoke escaping the drink...a FUN COCKTAIL *insert HEART emoji* Additional parking behind the restaurant, so you don't have to squeeze into the tiny lot in the front.
