We just went there for the first time tonight! Everything was outstanding! The host sat us right away and warned us ahead of time the server was busy and to be patient. Later on he offered to refill our drinks. (10/10 to the host working). We didn't wait too long and the server, Jarrett, greeted us in a friendly manner and gave us lots of knowledge on the menu! He might have been busy but he made sure our drinks were never low and all of our food came out HOT and delicious. Manager also came around to make sure everything was good. Been coming here regularly until the virus hit. They recently reopened in store dining and my wife and I went the other night. We had a great meal as usual. We dined at a booth in the bar area and received outstanding service from the bartenders Giselle and Beth, they are absolutely the best. Everything was timed perfectly we had a wonderful experience and now that the restaurant has reopened we will be coming back regularly. I can't even begin to explain how much I love this place!! The first time my boyfriend and I went we received the best service from the moment we walked in the door! Our server, John, was awesome! The steak is AMAZING!! We've been 2 more times since and both times still had excellent servers. The one time we had to wait for about 30 minutes, the hostess was so friendly and kept us engaged in conversation so time went by very quickly. The last visit I had a 6 oz sirloin and wood-grilled lobster tail. Oh em Gee people, it was delicious!! Definitely try the bang bang shrimp! You will not be disappointed!! read more

I've been to several Bone Fish Grill restaurants that have been nothing but superb. This one in Wilmington was a real disappointment. My husband ordered the bang bang shrimp, it was okay. Warning!!! Eating here will cause you to leave really full and really satisified!!! Hands down my top restuarant in North Carolina! I'm going to recommend this place to anyone willing to listen to me brag about it so here it is yelpers!! Ordered the infamous bang bang shrimp to start with and that could've been an entree by itself, definitly didnt seem like an appetizer portion the way they served them piled up but the flavor was fantastic and who ever complains about having more shrimp? Not this girl! De-freakin-licious! I also ordered a steak with a bacon mushroom glaze and mixed vegetables. Steak was cooked to perfection and that glaze made my tongue do somersaults even after I finished the last bite! Feeling thirsty? Ordered a cocktail that didn't skimp on the alcohol content and came to my table chilled to perfection... ice cold glass of ice literally! Best experience and food since moving here at the end of July. We had lunch there yesterday-fantastic waiter who was very attentive and super friendly. Ate here with my parents celebrating a special occasion. I know it's a chain restaurant, however, I have had much better meals from other locations in different states. This location rushed us through dinner in an uncrowned restaurant and served fish that was not old but not fresh either. I ordered the Sea Bass which was mediocre at best. Another great experience for me at a Bonefish Grill. Was visiting the area for a local soccer tournament and new that the crowds would be out at eh restaurants. We decided to go early and forgo the reservation. We went at 4:45 and were seated immediately. Wait staff was attentive and the food awesome. We had the calamari appetizer and we ate it so fast that our server didn't even know it had come out of the kitchen. Yes it was that good. For the entree I had the Salmon special which was cooked perfectly. My wife had the Trout which had a few bones still in it, but hey it's trout. My daughter had the scallops and shrimp and almost didn't share because it was that good. Overall a great experience and worth the $25 per person. Would go there again. read more

I checked in here at this fine establishment back in January 2011. I was having a mini-break from my life in the city. I flew into town about 30 minutes prior to walking through the doors with my Mother and little brother. They had a long wait for what I could remember, but seats available at the bar. My mother and I saddled up for a pre-dinner cocktail (a favorite pass time of mine - pre-dinner cocktails). After maybe 10 minutes or so we were surprised that our bar key came up with bang-bang shrimp app in her hand and proceeded to ask if we would like a complimentary plate...ahhh HECK Yeah!!! Loved it! We were seated shortly after we finished our complimentary shrimp at a nice booth (which bowed well with my Mother - as she prefers booths). Dinner was excellent, the waitress was a cute blonde college student, which came in handy for my lil brother to flirt! Great wine - Great food - Great company! I also believe that the bang- bang shrimp is what makes this restaurant stay GOLDEN in my book. If you haven't tried this wonderful chanined establishment - you should. read more

Food is always great but won't be back because it is always FREEZING. Always. This last time was the worst. I had to put on my winter coat in order to get through the meal. It's a real shame because I love Bonefish but can't eat at this one. My biggest pet peeve of restaurants is when they keep it too cold. The server even said she was cold. I think this place has undergone new management from a couple of years ago when I last came here. I called ahead for reservations but the bowl game was on so I called back and they offered to reserve a bar booth for us and had the game on for us when we got there, right in front of the booth they reserved for us. The food was excellent, but I've given only 3 stars because the service sucked. We were sat at a table which, apparently no one had been assigned to wait on. After what seemed like a very long time, we approached the greeter and we finally got some service. Then, they served us bread with no plates. Yes, the wife got the Bang bang and I ate it, it was too spicy for her unfortunately but it was very good. I got the Kobe Burger. Cooked just like I wanted it, side of fries, I got 11 fries, lol. They are not big on you eating fries here I suppose. The service was very good, very respectful and courteous. The drinks came very slow. we had to actually ask where it was. But when the drinks came they were great, wife got the white martini and I got the mojito. Nice to have some fresh mint sprigs properly muddles, props to the bartender here, thanks. We will return, Amy the waitress was very nice, door greeters were present and nice. Its all we ask, nice people to serve us good food promptly. Ate here for the first time last friday night. Everything was great except the food is a little pricey. If you can fork over the cash, save that fork and try literally anything. WOW! I ordered the Pecan Crusted Rainbow Trout and got a HUGE chunk of fish. Way more than I was expecting (it was only $17.90ish compared to some mid-$20s dishes). To begin we ordered a specialty drink with very little ice. The glass had 95% of its capacity filled with ice. The bartenders response was that they pre-fill each glass to maximum capacity with cubes. No offer to make it right. Our friends ordered a ribeye steak and it was tough and tasteless. Moral: don't order beef in a seafood chain. My wife had salmon and her coleslaw tasted about a week old. Again no compensation. We had a group of about 40 people and learned of several complaints. My fiancé and I just had dinner at Bonefish Grill on Market Street in Wilmington, North Carolina. The restaurant had a 95% cleanliness rating and seemed to be very nice. Our server Mykala was very accommodating and very kind. She was our best experience there. We both ordered the Cod Imperial which was way overcooked but we ate it just the same and did not complain. Actually the fish did not taste or have the texture of cod. We had a pleasant dinner and left after paying $68.80 which included a $12.00 tip. This is the only food we had all afternoon. Within 2 hours of eating we both had horrible stomach cramps and severe diarrhea. I called the restaurant and talked to the manager Marquis who was not very sympathetic at all. He tried to blame my illness on the one cup of coffee I had with dinner but my fiancée only had water so it definitely wasn't the coffee. He was totally unwilling to refund our money and only offered to give us a free appetizer if we would return. I will NEVER eat at another Bonefish Grill nor will any of my family or friends. Paying high prices for food poisoning is not my idea of a place I'd want to return to. My advice is to never eat seafood at a restaurant that doesn't practice good hygiene. I strongly recommend that nobody ever eat at Bonefish Grill again unless they want to get very ill and ruin their week. read more

Great restaurant to go if you're in town, whether with friends, family or a date (there's also a bar). With a casual yet candle-lit ambience, the food choice is a mix of American with a good balanced selection of seafood. The hostess and servers are polite and well-informed about the menu items. Try the bang bang chicken for appetizer (a little on the spicy side but yummy!), the tilapia was awesomely cooked (have it with some churri sauce)--all in great presentation. Dishes are decently priced, from lowest being $7 to high end dishes towards $20. A definite recommend for the area. read more
