We absolutely LOVED Bonita Bowls. We came here back in the winter and enjoyed the atmosphere, the smoothies and location in downtown Wheaton. We came on a winter day, with lots of snow on the ground, and still were able to find parking nearby. We tried the Tropical Sunrise and Strawberry Banana smoothies - absolutely amazing. Service was also incredible and kind. Our kids enjoy smoothies and they request that we go back here often. Loved this place.

Bonita Bowls is such a cute little spot, and the kind of place that instantly puts you in a better mood, even if it's still cold and gloomy outside. Kate (I think that was her name) was absolutely wonderful, super friendly with a great smile, and really helpful walking me through the menu and offering suggestions without making it feel overwhelming. I ordered the Green Lush and it was so good: a frozen green base (Spinach + banana + pineapple + coconut milk) topped with granola, banana, blueberries, almond butter, hemp seeds, and honey. Basically a health food trophy bowl that somehow tastes like dessert. I shared it with my husband... and he gave it his seal of approval, which is not handed out lightly. So yes, this one's a winner. It's right in downtown Wheaton, which will be perfect once warmer weather hits. Until then, the inside is cozy and inviting enough that you can sit there and pretend it's already spring.

What a cute location! Love the inside. Friendly service and quick. I have never had the smoothie bowl before. I assumed it was a yogurt type thing ( which I do not like) and was proven to now have a problem. Now I want it every day- lol. I got the Bonita bowl signature bowl with Nutella, on top of the blended and frozen smoothie, granola, coconut, strawberry and banana slices. It is seriously like dessert! In fact I have to go because I'm going to get one now. ;)

One of my favorite local açai bowl spots! This was my first time at this location. I was there in the mid-afternoon, so I did not have trouble finding a parking spot, which can be limited downtown. The staff was friendly and helpful as I was trying to decide which bowl to pick. The full menu is in my photos. I got the power-up bowl, and it was delicious. I ate it so quickly that I forgot to take a picture. The shop is small, and there is more limited seating than some other locations, so I wasn't able to sit down.

I always enjoy going to Bonita Bowls. This location has plenty of parking around it throughout the downtown area. Today was a chilly day so we parked as close as possible. The staff was extremely friendly. The bowls and smoothies take some time, so she was definitely hustling with us and 6 other people coming in. I opted for the Lovers Rock smoothie. It was definitely a good pick. Great time here as always.

I really like the food itself but was disappointed by the lack of sauce/toppings on my latest bowl. Barely any came on top.

Costume poké bowl. Very fresh ingredients and great portion for the price. Amazing food and smoothie bowl spot.

We had the tea leaf salad, which had just the right blend of crunch and spice. The samusas were hot and flesh and the flavor of both the mohinga and coconut chicken noodle dish I had were phenomenal. And of course the service was impeccable. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. We can't wait to be back and try the tofu salad and Shan noodles next time.

It was definitely a more "lowkey" experience, but it was a comfortable place to enjoy a relaxed meal. FOOD: We ordered the chicken noodle soup, egg rolls, goat curry, and tea leaf salad. We really enjoyed all of the food, but the rich and flavorful goat curry was definitely the standout! The tea leaf salad was still pretty good, although it was not quite as flavorful as we were hoping it would be. SERVICE: The service was exceptional from beginning to end. Everyone was kind, attentive, and welcoming without ever making us feel rushed. Our server was patient with us and even gave us a free dish when dishes were taking a bit longer to come out. PRICE/VALUE: Prices were pretty standard for the area and felt reasonable for the quality and portions. PARKING: Parking was easy and convenient with a large lot outside. Overall, this was a very solid four-star experience, and I would gladly come back for the goat curry!

I was dehydrated, exhausted, and in desperate need of revival. I ordered a protein shake, and I'm not exaggerating when I say that thing brought me back to life. A few sips in and suddenly I could feel my soul returning to my body. It was cold, creamy, packed with protein, and exactly what I needed after sweating out what felt like 40% of my body weight. The atmosphere was just as refreshing as the shake. Everything was super clean, comfortable, and welcoming, and everyone I interacted with was genuinely nice. Bonita Bowls might officially be a smoothie and bowl place, but at that moment it was basically an emergency medical facility. I walked in barely functioning and walked out feeling like I might actually survive my life choices. My muscles are still mad at me, but at least now I have a delicious protein shake and a fighting chance.

TL,DR * slow service…read more* overpriced * one worker was running the place by themselves * good taste at least Long version: I went into this place with high hopes based on their reviews. My food took over 30 minutes to be made. The food was good but it was $12 for a tiny bowl that fell apart when I opened it, way over priced for the amount received. I had to use the lid as a second bowl. Management should just order larger bowls. $1 upcharge for substitution of almonds instead of coconut. The poor worker was there all by herself with a line to the door. If they're understaffed the manager/owner should be helping but there was no manager on duty, which is why I'm writing this. They know they are understaffed. It's not fair to the worker to deal with poor management.

Street parking may be hard to get but public parking lot nearby. Food was excellent, I had the foxtail paella, plump shrimp, mussels, sausage veggies and orzo instead of rice made it feel creamier, full portions. The "big wood" was a tasty whiskey drink, but the Negroni was a little too bitter. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal. The pork belly, ciabatta, and balsamic were all good individually, but together the flavors just didn't work. It felt mismatched... * Colorado lamb kebab: 10/10. This is one of the more $$ entrées on the menu, but it's absolutely worth it. The portion was generous, the lamb was high quality, and the artichoke pesto paired really well with the rich, gamey flavor. The roasted pearl onions were a great addition too. I would definitely recommend this dish. * Foxtail paella: 8/10 flavorful orzo paella loaded with seafood. Definitely a sharing type of entree! Always a great time at Foxtail with great food and great service!

The store is well-kept and clean throughout. The bakery, meat and cheese departments and the hot food/salad bar area are great.
