I stopped by here to get some poke to go for lunch. I can't wait to come back! The cafe is located in the middle of a plaza. Parking was very easy. The GPS was a little confused. If you see the Dog Wash suite Bonito Poke is a couple doors down on the right side (corner unit). If you look on Google Maps I think it used to be Crave Cafe in 2022. Very cute cafe. The customer service was really above and beyond too. I asked for a recommendation and the person working took the time to ask how hungry I am and if I want spicy food to really tailor a recommendation to what he thinks I may enjoy. I was also offered water. The food came out fresh and super quickly! They included chopsticks and napkins in a cute branded paper bag. The poke was really good! I think for the basic mexi Cali poke it was $19.90. The portions are definitely worth the price! There's also the option for add ons. The fish was very fresh. They have more than just poke! It was around $20 and the portion size matches. I also got an ube latte and it was perfectly sweetened and just so good Second time: I came for brunch and got the Ube Pancakes and Salmon sig sig and shrimp & grits. Enjoyed every bit. My favorite was the shrimp & grits but the pancakes were a close second. The third and most recent time: I got Lumpia and Poke Nachos. I ordered the bonito poke and my brother ordered the Loco Moco with a side of the macaroni salad. Plenty of seating available when we entered the restaurant. What we ordered: * Ube cloud pancakes $18 - the ube sauce was just the right amount of sweet and it had a hint of ube. I liked the blueberries that came with it. It was a stack of 5 pancakes. They were soft, but I think they could've been bigger and more fluffy. Overall pretty good though. * Mochiko chicken $17.70 - the chicken was crispy and delicious! Came with a lot of chicken too. Also came with 2 scoops of rice and a scoop of mac salad. We took leftovers home and my fiancé ate the rest the next day. * French fries $6.90 - you get a lot of fries! I liked how crisp they were but at the same time was soft on the inside. I enjoyed the ketchup and creamy sauce that came with it too. * Bonito poke $22.90 (includes extra $2 charge for mixed greens and sushi rice plus extra $2 charge for salmon) - it may seem a little pricey, but the bowl was huge! The matcha offered that nice bitterness you get with green tea, without it being overly bitter. Loved their creativity contrast of green tea matcha on top with the yellow calamansi and passion fruit on the bottom. Great way to end our meal. Gotta love their creativity service at this place. We dropped in for their soft launch of brunch, and it was amazing! Everything from the food to the service exceeded our expectations. We tried the braised short ribs, pork belly tacos, wagyu burger, and an ube latte, and every dish was flavorful, beautifully presented, and cooked just right. The short ribs were tender and rich, the tacos had just the right balance of savory and sweet, and the wagyu burger was juicy and full of flavor. To top it off, the ube latte was creamy, not too sweet, and so pretty! The staff was friendly and attentive, which made our experience even better. Like another reviewer mentioned, I do wish it was more spicy. But my fault for not asking for the sauce. Cocktails: Tropical Zen - This was sooo good! A must try if you love matcha and pandan. Strawberry Hawaiian Fizz - A fruity and tropical accompaniment if that's more your vibe. If you're craving Hawaiian food elevated with quality ingredients and preparation check out Bonito Poke.
