There's just something about a diner style burger that hits over fast food. I've had Jasper's back in my teenage year, and finally had a chance to revisit now that I'm older. Def a blast from the past, with some of the interior looking as how I remember. I ordered the mushroom cheese burger combo, came out to $18+ with tip. Burger and fries were made to order. I like how the kitchen is visible so if you're seated at the bar, you can see the chef cooking. No cutting corners with how they cook! The beef patty was at a nice medium, seasoned well with that kind of melt in your mouth bite. The mushrooms were sautéed to my liking. The only gripe I have would be the patty to bun ratio. Def more bun. They're not skimping on the fries - more than one should eat in a sitting. You could easily walk away with 2 meals if split. Quiet vibe, with that true Rancho local feel. read more

it was Sunday @630PM I headed to my open YElP bookmarks for burgers, and chose Jasper's! As my dog and I arrived- and I walked in, was warmly greeted, and in awe by the nostalgic vibes, and retro look. I ordered the special onion rings and the garden burger with everything except mayo (sorry!) I took a seat outside and waited with a pup named, Betsy-boo. Our food was brought to us beautifully arranged, piping out and looking so good after a long day of work. Food: Garden burger 9/10, could use some more seasoning but well done, and over-all burger presentation and wrap was on lovely! Onion rings: 10/10, golden, crispy, fresh and not a frozen bag. Unique shapes, melt in your mouth texture, and also came with some delish sauce. I am excited to go back for the desserts.. and the skin-on, crinkle cut and sweet potato fries! They also got Phantom Bride on tap...Cmon now! Can you support Deftones and local sac rock any more?! Nothing I love more that a Mom and Pop run drive in style burger joint that is clean!!! Very nice updated and cool. Outside seating available too in case you bring pets. Haven't been in years and decided to visit. It was good before but now with new owners it's very good. Large burger and fried goodies menu. Specials on a board, shakes and local beer on tap! They even custom made a special shake for me on request no problem! Very friendly, greeted me AND thanked me on my way out! My burger was thick well seasoned and my fries were fresh made, still very hot and glistening from the fryer. I ordered the burger combo and the cashier said it was a Monday special, I didn't see it, but she told me and did it. Very cool. I heard that Jaspers Giant Burgers was still open and under new ownership. This place has been around for many years. It is located in Rancho Cordova/Gold River on Sunrise Blvd. I stopped in for a burger and fries. I was immediately greeted as I entered. The place is clean, bright and has a nice Diner vibe. Customer service is excellent! I received my order within 5 mins or so. The huge burger, fries and side of mushrooms were delicious and very filling. When ordering you can choose from a wide variety of burgers (beef, turkey, veg, ostrich, etc), hot dogs, chicken and a variety of fries (regular with skin on, curly, seasoned, steak fries, etc.). I asked for my order to go, but when I received it I decided to dine in. There are a lot of TVs to view sports or other programs. I enjoyed listening to the old school music that was playing in the background. Overall, great place to dine in or take out when you want a good burger. read more

Food consistently good and just what we needed on cold day. Had bacon cheeseburger, mushroom cheeseburger, garlic fries, and fried zucchini. Burgers fries were solid 10's but zucchini was bland. Still would come back again and again as great stop for a burger and fries! And you need to check out shake menu. Jaspers is a little on the pricey side, but the burgers are huge and tasty! I usually order the western burger and upgrade to the steak fries. My husband likes the pastrami burger. Just a note, they charge for each dipping sauce. The service isn't ultra fast, but everything is made fresh, so it makes sense. They are friendly. The inside is cute, like a 50s diner. One note is that it's not great if you are larger size or have mobility issues as there the seats are fixed and don't move. Food: We ordered the bacon cheeseburger combo, mushroom burger with jasper fries, and a kids baby burger meal. The burgers were great, they had a classic taste. I love that there's many options to customize your burger to your liking. The jasper fries have blue cheese and chili flakes- they are a must try! Our baby loved his kids meal as well! The prices were reasonably priced in comparison to other sit-down establishments. They also have "healthier" burger options such as Buffalo and ostrich, which we will have to try next time! The strawberry cheesecake milkshake is SO GOOD! They also sell beer and margaritas, which we didn't have but the pricing was VERY affordable on the alcohol! They also have bacon wrapped hotdogs, which I'll also have to return for! Ambiance: The place looks very cute and charming! It was fully renovated but the new owners kept the classic feel and look! I loved that all the tables have outlets! Service: We were promptly greeted when we walked in. Our cashier was patient with us as we navigated the menu (we were indecisive since this was our first time here). Jasper's has been an integral part of my family since my childhood. Now that I'm an adult, I always make time for a visit whenever I come back to town. Therefore, I was nervous when the owners retired and new owners took over. I wasn't sure if it would be the same! Well, it is a little different, but perhaps for the better. I always left Jasper's feeling like I needed to wash my hands, after sitting on the torn up booths and touching the sticky tables (though I assured everyone that was part of its charm). Jasper's has gotten a small facelift and it's so much cleaner. The booths, tables, and countertops have been fixed up and the decades of ketchup history removed. It's a little more modern...there's a new fancy electronic menu, the old jukeboxes at each table are gone, and there are a few new arcade machines. (To be fair, I don't think those jukeboxes really worked anyway, they were just part of the aesthetic). The only thing I was actually sad to see go was the pinball machine. I have beloved childhood memories with my dad playing pinball at Jasper's, so that's the end of an era for me. The thing we were most worried about, of course, was the food. I'm happy to say it tastes just as good! My sister's curly fries were perfect and my burger was delicious. Since my sister and I grew up here, it was fun to bring my niece for her first hot dog, which she said was very tasty. :) I am relieved to say that Jasper's seems to be in great hands, and I am glad we can keep coming here, hopefully for years to come. read more

Not that impressed with the burgers. They are dry and just little. Fries are good but they're just fried frozen fries so can't really go too wrong with those. They have a large menu so many things to choose from. Staff were nice but didn't have much interaction. The place was clean, including the bathrooms. I have been going to Jaspers since my kids went to school down the street. This was my go to spot for lunch. I finally stopped by again after the new owners took over and I was a bit nervous cause I didn't think I was going to have the same experience but to my surprise the food was just as good as before. I'm happy that the new owners/employees have that same kindness. The place was kept the same and I hope it stays that way. Also it was super clean and the bathrooms were spotless. That's something I pay close attention to. Too bad the prices aren't what they were but honestly great food and great portions. Love the ranch read more

6/7/2022. The tale of two visits. I went once before and the food was hot, fresh, and cooked very well. Not the story on Tuesday eve. The burger (see picture) was overcooked, bacon overcooked, and where is the cheese?? ($15.00) for a Bacon Cheeseburger Combo. The lettuce and tomatoes were wilted. The onions were fresh and crunchy. The fries were not crinkle cut and overcooked. Now, I know any place can have a bad day. Perhaps that is all this was. Will try again because of my first experience. This place is nice, classy, and retro. The customer service is amazing. The food tastes phenomenal. Best burgers and fries. If you think In-N-Out is good, this place is better, plus yummier. They have a pretty extensive menu with a lot of options even some unique meat choices such as ostrich which was tempting. My spouse and I got the mushroom burger, pastrami burger and garlic fries. The burgers were good; juicy and filling. The fries were a tad mediocre, nothing too special, with the garlic it was better but nothing much. Our meal was surprisingly costly for what it was, so that's another thing to consider. If I could leave no stars I would but you have to leave at least one. I have tried 3 times to come support this small business. Every single time we have had our order made wrong, served cold food or gotten an attitude about asking for substitutes or changes. Then when you ask for the owner to come fix it he also gives attitude and acts like he doesn't understand what you're saying to him. This time around I asked for a Turkey burger and got a giant burger with teriyaki sauce - which is nowhere near the same thing. My daughter got a chilli cheese dog and it was served cold with cold fries and a soggy bun. We waited for this meal for almost 20 minutes just to be served food this way. The soda machine is never working correctly and they are charging 3$ for a small. To drink WHAT?! There is no unsweet tea ever Ade but it's out there. They made such a huge deal out of giving me a refund (when every other time I never asked for one) that I will never return here to eat. Poor food and bad customer service. 10/10 do not recommend. read more

The food was delicious but the restaurant was FILTHY. Legit everything had a fine layer of YUCK. The ketchup bottle top was brown with dirt! The salt shaker hadn't been clean in years! The windows are covered with dirt and hand prints. The juke box stole my money. They employees have stuff stacked everywhere! Just junk piles! Maybe the food is good but I will never eat here again!
