    Five HUGE stars for Enterprise in Lexington!…read more I may preface this by saying that I was definitely born in the wrong century in that I despise using computers/apps for every transaction nowadays. It is a true godsend to do anything these days without it turning into a major stress event involving ill-programmed websites/computers/passwords, absence of human communication/interaction, customer set-ups designed solely for the business-owner advantage, automated telephonic nonsense, computer-cryptic hidden fees, etc. Here's the story: My car croaked and I needed to rent a car. In fear of what I have described above, I boldly decided to risk it and simply just walk down to Enterprise at opening time to see about renting a car. I was stressed already and anticipating "the usual" like being told "you have to book this on-line" and/or "you need a user ID to access a new account" and similar such nonsense. Instead, I was welcomed by a very pleasant lady (Abigail) who was well spoken. She clearly stated the rental information and answered any questions I had. She booked a car to fit my needs and the price was clear and all info was up front. Before I knew it, I was led over to my car, and I was driving off on my merry way all within 10 minutes or less of my arrival. I literally left with a smile and low-than-ever cortisol levels. At the end of the week, I called Enterprise and spoke to Richard on the phone, and I informed him that I needed a week-long rental extension and he set it up via phone in seconds. He was very helpful and pleasant and a good communicator. It later turned out that my own car was now repaired, and I didn't need the rental extension after all. I called Enterprise and Richard answered. I informed him of my situation and said to "just return the car when you like and everything will be all set." The return process was a snap. Everything was lickety-split and totally "user friendly" and all info was clearly and concisely presented. Best of all, everything was accomplished without my ever having to touch a computer -not even once. No run-around, no confusion, no hidden fees, real people, etc. Old school and I'm lovin' it! Thank you, Enterprise!

Because of some issues on their end nothing has been straightforward, simple, or accommodating. I cannot be without a car (who can?) and I needed to rent one. I came thru the door with 100 questions, expecting more aggravation, and preparing myself for more confusion. Luckily Mackenzie was behind the counter. She was, and has been, the only one throughout this whole process that's been not only helpful, but a pleasure to deal with. Just a really good person. She had an answer for questions that she wasn't even required to have answers for! Helped us out in every way we needed. Gave me 3-5 different options on what I would like to drive off the lot, and made the entire process simple. It was one of those experiences where you leave and think to yourself "I don't need to work there to know that that place would be LOST without her!" What a valuable employee. I really hope Enterprise somehow reads this because she helped the person out in front of me just the same, and I was walking out she was already greeting the next person with the same "happy to help" cadence. Awesome. I wish her the best in whatever she does, but customer service should definitely be something she stays with!

One of the employees i spoke to claims "we have 4 phone lines and over 500 cars in our lot",,,,perhaps investing in more phone lines instead of more cars is in order?? Prices are fair and i do like the idea of them bringing you and dropping off the rental at the body shop but if you can't get anyone to answer the phone(or emails sent) in a timely manner then that feature isn't that much convenient!! UPDATE:::::::::To Michelle that responded to my original review i am currently on hold now for coming up on THIRTY MINUTES.,,,,i have pretty much memorized the pre recorded sales pitch about how you "simply treat customers the way they SHOULD be treated".......how can you "run a family owned business in a corporate world" when you won't even pick up a phone Michelle??? I was hoping for an offer of a phone number to reach you at so that I could have you email the receipt that i was promised several days ago!

My husband and I arrived at the Woburn location to pick up the vehicle. I had the print out of the reservation with me. The woman behind the desk seemed to be indifferent, didn't want to be there, etc. She asked if we wanted insurance on the vehicle, we stated no. We stated that we are using our insurance company, Allstate. She went into this rant that if anything happens to the vehicle, we will have to pay out of pocket of $5,000. She had to keep repeating that we will pay $5,000 out of pocket. I told her we are using our insurance company. Never had a problem with Allstate. She then asked if we are using their toll package, we said no. We have the EZ-pass. Once we had that all worked out, we didn't get the Toyota Corolla. The representative stated that they are all out of the cars and only have SUVs. She gave us a Chevy Equinox. She didn't want to go around the vehicle with me to see if there were any damages to the vehicle or anything. She also didn't come out to see if I had any questions about the vehicle. I was in their parking lot for a few minutes to figure out how to move the side mirrors, what side the gas tank is on, etc. Before I checked the vehicle out, she stated that if we bring the car back not clean. We would be charged for cleaning of the vehicle , which could cost between $250-$450. This was the worst rental car place to go to. This vehicle is nothing but a gas hog. We came back from our vacation and the next day I went to the car wash to have the car detailed inside and outside. My husband meet me at the Woburn location. Different person at the desk, this person no smile, no nothing. He did look at the vehicle to see if it was cleaned which it was. Gave him the keys and left. I never had any problems using my car insurance or EZ-pass with Enterprise or Hertz. Enterprise/Hertz customer service representatives are soooo much helpful than this woman was.

Just disgusting. For almost 400$ , yuk. I regularly rent from budget in Arizona. They are top notch. Here, not so much.

Basically your options are.. A.) Park in the fenced area out back and hope your ride doesn't get towed or.. B.) Park awkwardly in front of their other parked rentals and (you guessed it) hope your ride doesn't get towed. Parking anomalies aside however, Enterprise is still commodious as ever when it comes to booking a rental in a crunch. In this instance, I was having some customization work being done on my car in Stoneham. Apropos, I called upon their Wakefield location because I also needed a ride from Stoneham to their office. Luckily for me, Enterprise was more than happy to oblige. They even gave me a ride back to my original pickup spot after recompensing the rental. Fancy that! All the usual accommodations one comes to expect from Enterprise are alive and present here as well. Turn your rental in ahead of the scheduled time or date? You get a partial refund and only pay for the actual time the car was used. Just be sure to bring it back with equal to or more fuel than it had upon pickup. The staff here are super cool and chill, too. I'd certainly do business with them again if my particular circumstances required it. With that, I'm giving Enterprise in Wakefield 5 cramp but findable parking lots out of 5.

This was the worst business experience of my life. For the first time, I feel compelled to alert the world on Yelp!

    I was in an auto accident and the person who hit me insurance covered this rental. The person who…read moreinitialy assisted me was able to set me up with a car without authorization but rushed the process. Not only did he give me a vechicle that wasn't equivlant to my sedan, the car had no winshield wiper fluid, air in tires low, muffler fluid maybe leaking since it sound like a go-kart and smelled like masked marijuana. I pointed out the markings when we went over the car together and he kept brushing it off saying not to worry about it because it was preexisting. He rushed to get me out of there and sent the invoice to the wrong email. When I tried to fix it, and asked for a business card he said he didn't have one but gave me a number to call. It wasn't a direct office line and I ended up waiting on hold for 20 minutues until I was actually able to speak with someone in the office to get it corrected. The entire process took longer than expected (he had the incorrect information and was confusing me with another customer. I had to tell him to double check) and I was running out of time and had get back to work. I had a better experience when I returned the vechile and voiced my concerns. Expecially, when she noticed the small dents on the hood and I told her that I reported this to the agent who set me up with the car and he told me not to worry about it. She reassured me that I wouldn't get charged. When I asked for a printed receipt, they had issues with their printer but she made sure my email was actually correct and it was sent immedately which I appreciated. She also apologized multiple times (event though it wasn't her fault) and offered me a 1 day of free rental and tank of gas. I highly doubt I will be coming back but I appreciate the gesture. She's the reason this reivew did not have one star.

No plan for people maybe…read morebeing a little late, they just locked up and went home without so much as a courtesy call. Customer service told me I was supposed to look up their hours ahead of time and figure out that a 12:00 reservation meant 11:45. The nature of travel is that people get delayed. Don't schedule appointments that only work if the customer is early. Not that it would have mattered, because nothing like the car that I reserved was present in their lot.
