This location is kinda weird, man. Like, it's not difficult to find or anything like that. Simultaneously though, the parking lot is hella tiny; which means there's ostensibly no convenient parking for customers. Basically your options are.. A.) Park in the fenced area out back and hope your ride doesn't get towed or.. B.) Park awkwardly in front of their other parked rentals and (you guessed it) hope your ride doesn't get towed. Parking anomalies aside however, Enterprise is still commodious as ever when it comes to booking a rental in a crunch. In this instance, I was having some customization work being done on my car in Stoneham. Apropos, I called upon their Wakefield location because I also needed a ride from Stoneham to their office. Luckily for me, Enterprise was more than happy to oblige. They even gave me a ride back to my original pickup spot after recompensing the rental. Fancy that! All the usual accommodations one comes to expect from Enterprise are alive and present here as well. Turn your rental in ahead of the scheduled time or date? You get a partial refund and only pay for the actual time the car was used. Just be sure to bring it back with equal to or more fuel than it had upon pickup. The staff here are super cool and chill, too. I'd certainly do business with them again if my particular circumstances required it. With that, I'm giving Enterprise in Wakefield 5 cramp but findable parking lots out of 5. read more

We had confirmation of rental from Costco Travel. We took taxi from Boston Cruise Port to Wakefield for $60. Received voicemail from Michael 5 minutes before arrival in Wakefield saying "do not come, we don't have car for you!" I said we're coming to talk about this. He said he'd call police if we came. This Enterprise location provided amazing service. From the start, they asked if I needed to be picked up! If you live within a certain distance, they will pick you up! (My Enterprise in Florida no longer offers that service.) Then, without me asking, they offered me a BETTER PRICE than my Costco discounted price! This is unbelievable. Lastly, Michael T. was there when I dropped my car off. I waited less than 5 minutes while he was finishing up with another customer and he apologized for the wait! Convenient place in Wakefield to rent a car. I've now rented twice here and the vehicles are clean and I can get in and out quickly. The website doesn't list it, but there is an after-hours drop box to leave keys for them to check in the vehicle in the next morning, which is a nice convenience. It's like any typical neighborhood location in that the number of vehicles that they have on the lot are limited, but all the options I've been given so far are good. Amazing customer service. Rented a caravan for two days for a weekend trip. Arrived at the rental car location in Wakefield at 4:30 it was an hour early and the car wasn't ready yet but it was the only time I could get a ride. The gentleman there, Will, agreed to drop the car off to my home when the car came in at 5:30 so I didn't have to wait. An hour later the caravan was at my door. I quickly filled out the paperwork with Will and went over the car. All done in five minutes. Thank you Will for going the extra mile! Seriously disgusting. Was in an accident and had to rent a car until I bought one. Gave me a very basic Nissan Versa-sqeaked when reversing and awful to drive but whatever. Returned the car and was charged a "reduced insurance rate" of $36/day. I was floored and commented on what an awful car it is. Ive never paid that much for a rental and have always had much nicer cars. The kid was like, "yeah, it's pretty bad. Sorry about that" Show up to the dealership and my new car won't be ready for 2 more days so they rent me a car from Enterprise. The guy shows up with THE SAME car I returned the night before. It was not washed, windows had a film on them which I had to clean myself, not vacuumed, not wiped down. Guess COVID isn't a problem in Wakefield? They didn't know it was going to the same person! To his credit, the kid offered to go back and get another vehicle but I'd have to wait another 30-45 min. I declined since at least I knew without a doubt that I was the last person in this car and I knew it was mostly my own germs. I will never rent from Enterprise again. I always use enterprise. Joey, in the wakefield office., was really helpful, i drive alot for work and therefore use alot of fuel. He found a comparable car after several tries. No matter the headache i caused him he remained professional and patient. Thanks Joey! read more

I just dropped off a 2-day rental here this morning (picked up from the Saugus location). The first thing I noticed when I arrived was they were actually open and ready for business a couple minutes before the official opening time of 9am. The office was clean and organized, and two people behind the counter were friendly and professional. I was in and out in under five minutes--I wish rental offices at airports could be that efficient. I've been renting from Enterprise for years. If I need to get a local rental again, it will be from this location. read more

Absolutely terrible service. Reserved a car for the holidays well in advance and when I got there, I was told that they tried to call me to say they had no cars available. No call or email came through. Then told me this happened due to a glitch in the system because I booked the night before (This was a bold faced lie.) I had booked my car in advance and produced the confirmation email. They took my number and said they should have a car the following day, if not that evening, but never called me so my entire plans were ruined. This company has zero integrity. The sad thing is that my sister who was traveling from NYC and using a different location was told the same story, which is way too coincidental. Clearly this company lies and teaches their employees to lie when they overbook cars. Will never use them again and have contacted the BBB, as I maintained all my records. I would not trust this company if you are flying into a location and need to have a reliable vehicle. read more

I never leave yelp reviews but I found myself in a car pinch this morning only 15 minutes before I was supposed to be at work. I reserved a car online at 10:21 and got to the office at 10:30, a half hour before my scheduled pick up time and they had me in and out of there within minutes. Post red eye flight from San Diego only to learn there were no rentals available at the airport. We had rented from the Enterprise in Wakefield successfully before and they really helped us out today. Aileen was fast, attentive and extremely helpful and in minutes we were on our way (even after having to call in a car from another location). Rude customer service. Several weeks after renting a car from this location a charge appeared on my card. When I called to inquire I was told that they don't know why my card was being charged and that I should call someone else. When I expressed that I was unhappy with this solution I was told, "Oh my god! Here's a number to call to find out why we charged you more! Just call someone else." Very good advice though. Update: Enterprise smartly monitors social media and contacted me about my review. Shortly thereafter the area manager in charge of Wakefield contacted me as well. He acknowledged the mistakes that were made in my case and assured me that more training would take place to correct the problem. The training would focus on communication (which failed in my case) and giving every customer the special treatment they deserve. I have bumped my one star to three, and I'll give them another chance. If the next rental goes better I'll bump them even higher. Original review: TERRIBLE SERVICE! STAY FAR AWAY! This used to be a well run shop, about a year ago. Now it is run by rookies. I am a plus member (which apparently means nothing), and reserved a luxury car there for yesterday. When I arrived for pickup (on time), they told me all they had was one standard-sized car. Instead of telling me to take it because it might be my last chance, they said they would search for a luxury and call me later. They never called back, and I called them an hour before closing to find out they had NO CARS AVAILABLE AT ALL. I was stuck without a car, and on top of that they tried to pin the blame on me for not checking availability over the phone before booking. The guys who used to run the shop would have driven to Logan personally to get me a car. What a shame! read more

I returned my enterprise rental car to Nissan (a drop off location)in woburn, MA. Enterprise picked it up the next morning and called me to inquire about damage to the front bumper. When I left the vehicle at Nissan, no one did a walk around it with me to inspect the condition that I returned it in. There was no damage to my knowledge when I left it. Enterprise is now invoicing me $890.00 for the repair of the cracked bumper that I was not aware of and I am outraged. Someone from enterprise should have called me before they drove the car from Nissan back to enterprise to inform me of damage. The employee picking up the car from enterprise could have damaged the car and now I am being hit with the bill. I advise you to be cautious in your rental agreement and when and where you return it. I would not go back to rent a car from enterprise after this experience. read more

I have rented from Enterprise many times over the last few years and i have NEVER had such a horrible experience. If you aren't savoy, they will milk you for money you SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY. I started my rental originally for the weekend($15/day), with a promotional rate if i had to extend it($30). I was at work so i had my fiance call for me to get it extended and they told her it was going to be $45/day and gave some long winded excuse as to why the price had gone up so much. My fiance tried to explain to the employee how we had done this before and it should be a lesser rate (we rented a premium car and the extension cost was only $35/day, this current rental was Intermediate...2 classes LOWER for $12/day MORE??) and the employee pretty much ignored her and told her it was the price he said, no less. When my Fiance conveyed this to me at work, i tried to call the branch, was on hold for 10 min, nobody picked up. I called the enterprise 800 number and they connected me back with the office, where i waited for another 15 min, nobody picked up. I called the 800 again and this time THEY attempted to connect to the wakefield store, 5 min later, nobody picked up, and they said they would send the branch an email to call me back. 5 hours later, when i got off work, i called the office and nobody picked up. I called the 800 number again, they called wakefield and SOMEONE PICKED UP!! He went on to explain how he was the only one in the office all day, with an attitude as if it was my fault, then went on to explain he had gotten the email sent from the 800 rep to call me, but assumed it wasnt important because he had just talked to my fiance (roughly 30-45 min prior) so he deleted it. Needless to say i will NEVER be returning to this particular office, i will probably continue to rent from enterprise as their customer service and prices are amazing, which is good because the interaction with this office left a fairly bad taste in my mouth. read more

This is the worst Enterprise Car Rental location I have dealt with to date. I rented a car for the day for $40.00 and they placed a $300.00 credit hold on my credit card. This was something I was NOT told at the time of booking my rental. They had an unprofessional attitude and to make matters worse, it took three days to have the $300.00 hold removed from my card. I ended up contacting corporate and complaining and then I noticed it was removed. I would walk before I would ever rent from this place again. read more

Do not RENT from these guys. These guys are cheaters. I had to rent car Enterprise Wakefield in May 2016 as this location was close to auto body shop where my car was getting repaired. I had just come out of an on road accident and was still in shock ,while signing the contract (on the same day) they told me that I am all covered through my insurance NO coverage needed .They made me sign and put initial and 3 different places without explaining me what those signatures were for. After I returned the car, I found that they had billed be for OPTIONAL collision damage .Had they explained it to me, I would not have sign the contract. I raised this matter with them, initially I was told it's being looked into and later simply refused. Each time I called them or visited enterprise Wakefield office and meet Eric(onsite supervisor), was told that I would get call back but that never happened. A totally unprofessional behavior!!. I have disputed transaction through my credit card company and still in pursuit. I wouldn't suggest renting from this location. Wish there was an option to give me -ve points. read more
