Well after reading yelp for my own use, I've decided as I wait here for my car to be serviced to jump Into the reviewing myself. I feel like too many Yelpers just complain so I figure I'll try to review when I like a place. We use this dealership for service on our Ford, which we bought elsewhere. The staff has always been real friendly, straightforward, and easy to deal with, from the guy who waves you into the service doors to the counter guys etc. if you're waiting there there's a clean little waiting room with TV, restrooms, etc. and there's also a shopping plaza with a Dunks and supermarket nearby too. It seems the owner has an award winning antique Thunderbird that there's photos of and I've seen it on the lot too, which is cool, as my other car is a classic Caddy so I love old cars. It's also a nice reminder that this dealership has been around for a few generations selling Fords. We've been satisfied with the quality of work and speed/pricing too, though admittedly we haven't had that many issues with our car. However I'm impressed enough with how we've been treated there that I'd definitely consider them if we buy another Ford. read more

I had put off buying a car for years. But it was finally time. I reached out to Sara online and when we went into look, we were assigned to Maggie Leverone. Maggie was excellent and helped us get the car(s) we wanted. I had only intended on buying one, but we ended up buying two as the trade-in, plus the Ford incentives on 2016s, and zero percent financing were too good to pass up. Never did I feel any pressure to buy then and there or that I was being nickled and dimed. Never was there any pressure to buy extras when signing the paperwork. They presented the options and spelt out the pricing implications. While I thought I knew what I wanted for a car, I kept changing my mind and looking at other cars on the lot. Maggie let me look at them all despite them all being in different price ranges. I can't say enough about Maggie and how she listened to us and didn't try to steer us to something we didn't want. There was no intense bargaining and she didn't hound us to buy that day. Thanks to the Sales Manager, Aiden, as well. I just can't say enough about how happy this whole experience was and more importantly, I didn't feel taken advantage of at all and felt that we received two cars at a reasonable price. read more

I have been and owner Ford products for 35 years. I moved into the area a few months ago called Bonnella Ford for and oil change and recall work. I was asked did you buy the car here I said no just moved here. I was then told I need to take my car where I bought it. They will not do recall work for me. I can not believe the way the service manager talk to me. I would think a Ford dealer would take care of a Ford owner who is new to the area. I would never do business with a company that treats people this way. I did speak with the owner I got a sorry. But never said how can I fix this problem. So they got what they wanted for me to screw off. WOW !!!!!!!!! I was reading reviews and every one to star is about service. You really need to look at your service manager. read more

I have a small car accident in summer of 2015. Following the insurance company's list I went Bonnell Ford body shop service to get it fixed. The insurance company paid morn than $4000 for my car repairing. In 2016 I felt some of the scratches coming out. I brought my back to the Bonnell Ford body shop to see if it is the old damage from 2015. I was told all the scratches were new even I didn't get any new accident. Then they used some special clothes wiped the markers away. In 2017 all of the markers from 2015's scratches coming out again. I am totally surprised by their service. It takes me two years to realize such nice looking auto body shop performing such cheap work. read more

Our dealership bought a Ford Certified 2016 Ford Escape in 2018 from this dealership. It was advertised as Ford Certified and had the Ford Certified window sticker and all paperwork in glove box. Turns out this car was NEVER Ford Certified. Contacted Ford customer service and they confirmed, but were interested to see the paperwork and window sticker advertising such. Bonnell Motors contacted by auction house and they even stated the car was Certified. Spent about 5 days on this topic and wound up with nothing but lies. Shame on you Bonnell Ford read more

This review is only pertinent to the body shop. As I only used the collision service center. I had a small crack on my bumper and decided to have it fixed mostly for aesthetics purposes. What I encounter was simply regret at making this decision. But if you enjoy being lied to multiple times about when your vehicle will be ready. If you enjoy being told 3 different times that your car will be ready and then being rudely told that it isn't, if you enjoy subpar service to the point where you need to visit another body shop to fix their issues that they caused then Bonnell ford collision shop is the perfect place for you. Absolutely horrible costumer experience and even worse job on my vehicle. Search for a different body shop if you want your car to actually be worked on by professionals who don't treat their costumers like they are inconveniencing them. read more

I was so excited to find a beautiful red 2020 Jeep Gladiator on the Bonnell lot. I called to ask some questions about the condition and to verify the price. My husband and I made an appointment and had a wonderful test drive. Jeep was perfect - everything we wanted and we decided to buy it! Great right??? NO. We sat down to start the paperwork and the sales manager came over to us and told us there was a mistake - the price was actually $3000 more than what was posted online at both Truecar and on the Bonnell website. Nothing he could do about it - if we wanted it we had to pay the higher price. He wasn't even willing to split the difference with us and treated us so rudely! So we walked out - and took our business to another dealer. Not honoring an online price is not only unethical - but illegal. I reported the issue to the attorney general and put in a complaint with TrueCar. Please stay away. read more

My review is based on the used car service.... although they have been nice some more then others I have been back to this dealership more times then I care to admit! For three reoccurring issues one issue being a battery that they finally very kindly replaced! When I test drive the vehicle the brakes were not great and I asked them to be replaced in order for me to purchase. I was told the brakes were replaced and I went on my way within a week I called and said they were squeaking and grinding brought the car back several times to be told "they need some time to wear in" that day I literally put 1000 miles on my car to "wear in" the brakes..... after over a month and a half numerous visits I finally took my car for a second opinion (which I paid for ) to find out that the rear brakes were metal to metal and need about $500 worth of work. I called the sales manager and he was awesome had me right it! But again the front brakes were still squeaking and really embarrassing in traffic....I called again and asked if they even test drove vehicles after servicing them because they did not fix them yet again! Was then told to come back and have someone ride with me to hear it! I bring it back in AGAIN and you would have that I was speaking a different language. The "manager" or asst manager was basically telling me that depending on the "quality" of pads they may have used it can continue to squeak because of the metal but that does not mean that they are not entirely safe! So now I have to bring it back once again and see what they say! Oh here's the kicker they may do nothing because it depends on how many miles I have put on since the brakes have been done! Ummmm hello you told me it took some mileage to wear them in! I will never purchase a vehicle from this dealership again nor will I refer anyone because this has been so time consuming and irritating that I would not put someone else through this! Ps- the other problem with the tires and pressure sensors worked correctly for a week and has been acting up since! So nothing has been fixed correctly other then replacement of a battery read more

Lets face it, bringing your car into a dealership for service is not fun. This place though makes it a breeze! Fast and friendly dedicated service with very helpful staff that walk you through every step of the service process. This helps you understand what they are going to do BEFORE they do it and the costs. They will try to work with you on parts charges and they even have an inhouse rental car agency to take the pain out of being without a car for any period of time. If you go, see Rob Greenwood, the Asst Service Manager and he will take care of you. The service is also fast and they try to get you back on the road quick. As a first time new car buyer, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy and stress free Bonnell Ford made the process. My experience with all their staff was excellent. They are personable, thorough and patient! Bruce Morrisey was the sales person I dealt with and thanks to his professionalism and courtesy, we walked out with a brand new 2012 Ford fusion Hybrid! Incompetent management, if you complain you are asked to step outside. Was planning to get some repairs done here to my family's' Windstar but the staff will corner you including lower management (the son of the manager.. classy) to go outside the second you have a complaint. The place seems more like a greasehead/monkey-esque repair shop (with service techs screaming in the background while the sales men will knock on the windows and tell them to get back to work?) then an excuse for a dealership; save yourself the time and go to another location. read more

Brought one of our commercial vehicles there with engine light on. We have in-house mechanic who diagnosed the code relating to catalytic converter being below efficiency threshold. Besides that vehicle was stalling on the red light. We have security cameras in our fleet and gps locators. Vehicle was in their possession from 7:45 am till 2 pm. Got a call from service advisor Jeff stating I need new catalytic converter - gees, wiz I already know that - I brought you a vehicle to tell me why it failed and what needs to be done to avoid it in the future. Long story short, they wasted half a working day for my vehicle, charged me $121.54 for nothing. But it is getting interesting - I watched the security camera from our vehicle and I see Jeff going through my belongings in the vehicle (nothing was taken - just curiosity). I've complained to the Management but they are all "friends and family" there covering each other. Bottom line - I choose to vote with my money for professionalism, quick turn around and fixing my problems once and for all. Bonnell Ford does NOT even remotely come close to the above mentioned criteria! P.S. I took the vehicle same day to Express Lane York Ford in Saugus, it took technician Sean 5 minutes to tell me why catalytic converter failed (common problem with Econoline series), ordered part - vacuum canister purge solenoid. Replaced, test drove, steady as she goes.... Thats how awesome mechanics work. Bonnell there is a lot for you to learn! read more

2/10/16 Car needed some new doors and some airbags replaced. Brought it in 5 weeks ago, they didn't touch it for 3 weeks, it was just left sitting in the lot. Now it just sits inside with the new doors on it and everything else untouched. Extremely frustrated. Will not get work done there again. Buying cars there is a better experience in my opinion. 2/23/16 Now 7 weeks without the car. So furious with their service. Max should be 30 days, probably taking their time because it's a lease. Unacceptable. 3/2/16 Still no car and they don't know when it'll be done. Beyond disgusted. Never get collision repair or body shop work done here. read more

Brooks and Steven, After visiting your showroom 7 times to locate, test drive and attempt to purchase a vehicle I am incredibly disappointed and furthermore I feel like your team should be ashamed of themselves for botching a pretty easy sale. I was in the market for a F150 and after meeting with Steven Powers and test driving the vehicle alone and on another occasion with my friend I decided it was a superior vehicle to the Tundra that I was also considering. On my next visit I printed out a vehicle buildout as well as emailed a copy to Mr. Powers. Steven explained to me that there were great incentives on the 2015 vs the 16 and said he would locate me one that was similar. After a week of hearing nothing I called Steven and he stated that he had not had a chance to look for one. A week later of not hearing anything I called your main line and expressed my dismay at how my vehicle interest was being handled. Your secretary (who is very nice) got me over to Aiden your new sales manager. By this time I had taken the liberty of reaching out to several other Ford showrooms and learned that the configuration that I was seeking was very tough to find in a 2015. Aiden sent me vehicles that you had that were similar to what I was looking for and I discovered that your had the closest buildout to what I was looking for (minus the sunroof, rear power window, sprayin bed, and remote start). I went in, met Aiden and he printed me out a "Friends and Family" price sheet that stated that you guys could give $10,111 off MSRP ($750 of it only if I financed through Ford). I brought my Jeep in on my next visit and got it appraised for $10,100. I finally sold my Dad on buying the truck for our company, came in and the deal went south. Steven Powers stated that if I wanted to trade in my vehicle in you would now only give me $6300 for it because "it wasn't against the full value" or some bs like that. So instead of the vehicle costing 34k or so OTD (out the door) my father and myself were shocked to be hit with 38k. My brother bought his fusion from you a year ago and I live right on Cambridge Rd in Woburn down the street from your showroom. H.O. Services buys pickups and vans for business every other year or so and after this experience I will never consider buying from your team again and I will be ordering a 2016 through another showroom. Didn't buy a car there, but I brought my Ford to be serviced so this 2 star review is for the bored, useless bunch of boys sitting behind the counter. Not only did I have to explain twice what I was there for (picking up my car), but then told to park my rental (2 rows over), then the cashier told me I had to phone Enterprise myself to let them know I was returning rental (he ended up doing it because (1) I didn't have them number and (2) I had no phone. THEN I waited at least 5 minutes waiting for car only to FINALLY be told "Oh, your car is over there"! WHAT???? I was the only customer there! No one could drive it to the Service entrance? All 3 guys looked liked they not only hated their jobs, but were bored to death! Hope they don't collect a paycheck....such a waste of money. read more

Went there today with the intention of buying a car. I worked with this salesman, Chris, who originally gave me a reasonable quote for a car that I liked. When I got there, to my surprise, he told me the car was no longer available, and that a rebate i was getting actually could not stack with a coupon that I had from Ford directly. he told me the rebate was a private offer, even though every dealership has given me the same offer (I am a recent college grad). I was very disappointed in this, and he continued to sleezeball me, devaluing my current vehicle, while jacking up the price of all the ones i was interested in. In the end, I asked him to talk to his manager to see what deal they could make for me, and he came back with a price that was higher than before. Not going to lie, I've been to several dealerships already, but Chris was by far the worst salesman I've ever worked with. DO NOT WORK WITH HIM. I wasn't expecting much in regards to further discounts, just to be treated fairly. Very disappointed in my visit today. Will not be going back again. read more

I went in to test drive a Mustang, and I was led to Richard King. He was very helpful right from the start and after checking my license, he grabbed a car and we were off in less than 10 minutes from the time I stepped into the dealership. He explained all of the big features during the drive and answered all the questions I had about the car. He took me on roads that really showed how well the new Mustangs handle: backroads, highway, and even a town center. I bought a 2008 fusion at bonnell about a year ago and am very happy with the whole process, from sales to service. It is hard to find an auto dealer that will listen and work with you when some dealers will not give you the time of day. I was there this past saturday 1/29 waiting for an oil change and state inspection to be done on my fusion when the service advisor very professionally handled an unacceptably irate young lady screaming about something regarding her boyfriend. He handled a problem that had nothing to do with the dealership very professionally even though she hadn't even had her car there for service. Never witnessed anybody banging on windows, but there is an intercom that is used to call techs. I've been very lucky with my car so far and i hope it stays that way, but if i do have any problems with it, i am comfortable bringing it to bonnell. read more

One of the worst body repair shop EVER I have never seen any body repair shop so slow, that took them 3 weeks to order the parts. They sure do take care of everything for you, espcially billing your issuence company. They always tell you, that your car will be done by the end of the next week, this SHOP SUX. read more

I have been going to Bonnell for a while and usually do not have any issues. A few months ago I dropped my car off for a recall replacement. I was called within 30 mins of leaving to tell me that one of the mechanic crashed my car into something in the shop and it needed to be repaired! They were nice about it, said they would take care of everything and set me up with a free rental car. THREE and a half weeks later I finally received my car back. Two weeks ago I brought the car in to have a tire patched. I asked if they could check all the tires as well. Everything seemed fine, I paid a small price for the patch and was on my merry way. A week later I get a flat on another tire. Coincidence? Maybe? But my gut is telling me someone didn't check like I asked on the other tires. So here I go again BACK to the shop. I arrive at 8:40 am on Tuesday, am told there are a few people in front of me and to relax in waiting room. ( I was getting oil change as well as fixing the tire.) At 10:45 am one of the Bonnell's comes to find me to tell me the tire needs to be replaced but they don't have one. They would have to call out to get it and it would take about 45 mins. I said no I can come back when it's here to get fixed because lord knows how long I actually would of been waiting. Someone finally calls around 2(four hours after I left) to tell me the tire is here and asked me if I HAD MY CAR or if it was still at the shop?! (Are you kidding me!) I said I have it and will be in tomorrow morning. It is now Wednesday morning arrived around 9am and they were pretty fast putting on new tire. (10:00ish) I go to pay with my FORD CREDIT CARD and the guy says he can't process it here so we have to go to the lady at the other desk, who didn't know what to do either. About 25 minutes later they decide to photocopy my FORD credit card and say they will run it when they figure it out. I received a voicemail at my house Wednesday night asking for the numbers on the back of my card. I then a received a phone call this morning, THURSDAY asking for the numbers. I gave them to her and hung up. An hour later I get yet another call saying the card is not working call credit company . I called credit company, I have a ZERO balance and a credit limit way over what the purchase was. The man I spoke with was somewhat helpful, tried to call Bonnell to save me a trip and they didn't ANSWER! I then drove over, walked up to the desk, handed her my debt card and didn't say a word. Now I usually never complain. Even if something bad happens at a business I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. I know we are only human. But this whole situation truly upset me, I made a YELP account just to write this and save people time. I will NEVER go back to Bonnell and I will NEVER use the ford credit card again. Next time I am going to try another dealership before I swear off FORD all together. read more

Sometimes the total price for work I've had done is actually lower than what they quoted. The Sales people there from my experience aren't your typically sleazy salesmen. My 81 year old mother brought her Ford in for service because she bought it there, they did not offer her a ride back to her home, about a mile away, so she ended up walking home, never received a call saying her car was ready, so after she called almost at the end of the day, and she had to walk to pick it up. Ridiculous and especially disgraceful policy in this day and age. Our family will never return there again. read more

Do NOT get any body work done at Bonnell. If your insurance company is paying, you will be completely ignored and strung along. Our car has been hostage there for over 2 weeks and they refuse to return our calls. I am beyond frustrated and will drive an extra 20 miles to another shop next time we need some work done. read more
