This pizza is delicious and unique. It was ordered for me, so I don't know what I ate. One.had pepperoni . The other had shaved cheese and like a salad on top. Both unique and a lot of flavor. Maybe too much salt. The pizza was delivered hot and fresh.

I came to this casual pizza joint with a couple other friends. The host greeted us upon arrival and sat us down at a table booth. After looking at the menu through the QR code, we placed The Kelly Ruben to share online. It came out a few mins later and we were each able to get 2 slices out of the 6 cut pieces. I've never had a "Ruben" on pizza before but it was quite good. Everything paired really well and we all enjoyed the pizza. A cool spot to try something different!

Went here on a date and it was delicious! They do half-price pizzas on Wednesdays, so we got two full-size pizzas plus dessert for $30, which was a fantastic deal. Loved the kick on macharoni (pepperoni with salsa macha and hot honey) as well as the delicious garlic condition the stracci pizza, which also has excellent cheese. I'm a fan! Dessert was weaker but I mainly came there for the pizza, and I'll definitely be back for more soon! You order from an app, so it's not table service - be aware that they charge 18% auto gratuity but that the app you pay with will try to default to leaving another tip on top of it. That's the only real criticism I have: auto tip in a no-service restaurant that tries to get you to tip more. Otherwise all excellent down the line! I recommend it for sure.

I was part of a party of three trying Bogey & Peel for happy hour. At a coworker's urging, we shared the Kale Caesar, the @kschifanorealtor pie, and a Detroit slice with vodka sauce. Everything was very good, but the Detroit slice was my favorite--the vodka sauce topping was outstanding. They have a great happy hour deal on drinks, making this a fun and informal spot to enjoy pizza and drinks. The patio out front is a nice environment.

It's a very interesting restaurant. The g mushroom pizza with garlic cream sauce was good. It had some lemon zest which was a little bit different. Very eclectic. The music was great. The ambience was that of a fast food pizza place with a little more pizzazz.

Fun creative pizza and scrumptious sandwiches, great casual happy hour spot! The pizzas are a bit like NY style with a Neapolitan round personalized size. The Patricia Sando veggie sandwich hit the spot and bursting with garlicky and sweet flavor from the marinated balsamic veggies (squash, red peppers, eggplant, carrot), creamy stracciatella cheese with pesto mayo on fluffy sourdough focaccia bread. The bread was super soft and stracciatella cheese was divine, the everything blended well together. The sandwich was very filling and hands-down among the best sandwiches I've had! The Detroit style Sicilian pizza had a thick airy crust with marinara sauce on top (there was an option to choose marinara or spicy vodka sauce) was tasty and fun to try. The Sweet Baby Christos veggie pizza was quite flavorful with red sauce, eggplant, garlic confit, pickled cherry peppers, herbs, feta, honey. The mildly spicy cherry peppers had a bold flavor and paired well with feta cheese, while the honey helped to balance it out. The eggplant was more subtle. While the herbs were an interesting touch with texture, it was a bit of an overload. I prefer the pizza with just a few toppings. The pizzas are medium size with 6 slices. While my friend and I shared a pizza, I could have conquered the whole pizza. The Salsa Macha Pimento Cheese was fun to try with warm, crispy chips. The cheesy dip paired well with the chips. The Spicy Margarita cocktail on happy hour was tasty with a mild spicy kick! The bubbly Lambrusco paired well with the pizza. It was a bit unclear on the pizzas offered during happy hour, they weren't listed on the mobile menu. The drinks were clearly listed. Excited to come back to try the other pizzas and the Patricia Sando veggie sandwich!

WOW, WOW, WOW! Neapolitan inspired, brick oven pizza with toppings that are both genius and insanely good! Who would have thought that putting sauerkraut, pastrami and pickled mustard seeds on a pizza would work?? Well I am forever grateful that the owner did because the Kelly Ruben is ridiculously good! And the dough..the 48 hour fermentation process paid off! I especially appreciated that the toppings stayed on the pizza when lifted off the tray. The Macha Roni was perfect and it was easy to see why this is a menu favorite. And because apparently serving up perfect pizza isn't enough, this overachieving restaurant also serves up amazing wings. The sauce on the Lil Bear wings was AMAZING and I would buy a bottle of it if available..maybe they will create a Thai inspired pizza with this sauce (insert wishful thinking!) Service was friendly and attentive with plenty of seating indoor and outdoor that could easily accommodate large parties.

Ima pizza snob and always said DC is the worst in DMV area. But Boogy and Peel, wow! Best pizza in the area. I first got the cheese pizza and it was amazing. Also got the pepperoni with peppers, oh man just so much flavor. Love it. Cheese, sauce and dough is a perfect balance with all having their own good flavor. Price is definitely fair! And the staff are super cool, explaining to me their restaurant and ingredients and techniques. Nice amount of space as well and is very clean.

Minus one star due to burned crust. You can see in the photos online that they mostly burn the crusts on all the pizzas. It tastes bad and I don't get it. Despite the burned crust, the middle of the pizza DOES taste awesome. $7 for a cheese pizza for happy hour, WHAT?! And good happy hour drink selection too. The place is tiny. Don't come with a large group. There's as much seating on the patio as indoors.

I decided to take a little walk up the street to this place to get a slice and a kale salad. It didn't disappoint. I got a Detroit slice with pepperoni and the kale Caesar salad. The sauce on the slice was really good ( and I'm picky about that, not too bitter or too sweet) and the salad was fresh. The service was great. Definitely don't mind coming back!

Disappointed as had such high hopes but it was a bunch of let downs. Yes the pizzas are average/good but the crust was significantly burned. I always seek out these pizza types when I travel so I appreciate a good char, but at Boogy and Peel, as recent reviews show, it was just straight up burnt on both our pies and burnt so much that large portions of each pizza were inedible as it was burnt bubbles taking up a good chunk of the pies. Chef/Owner Rachael was the one who made the pies, so they should be doing better quality control. Based on recent reviews, this is a trend and not a good one. We stopped in around 7pm on a Tuesday and it took just under 45 minutes from the time we ordered until the pizzas were delivered to our table. And the place was not busy at all, so I can't fathom why it took so long. On top of that, they charge a mandatory 18% service charge, but there is no real service. You order via QR code and someone runs your pizza/dishes to you. They never cleaned our plates or anything like that. And you must pay in the app, with suggests even more tip. I won't be rushing back. I had such high hopes but left disappointed. read more

Good vibes, good service, and most importantly good 'za. We came on an unseasonably warm January Friday and were able to enjoy outdoor dining (ordering via QR at tables is an option here) but the server was amazingly attentive! Definitely a new pizza place worth checking out in Dupont! You order and pay at the counter once you enter and are given a number for the table you choose (indoor or outdoor) where they will deliver your food. There are spigots for sparkling or still water and glasses self-serve. Really enjoyed the macha pizza - it was very tasty, a bit greasy and notably spicy (for someone who has a high spicy tolerance). The sweet baby cristos was very herby and flavorful. As a cheese lover, maybe next time I would ask for more cheese. Each pizza is 12 to 13 inches. Between three of us, we had about three slices left over after ordering two pizzas. read more

An absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish and would highly recommend. Boogy and Peel's ambiance reflects its pizza menu: innovative and unpretentious. My friend and I were greeted immediately by a staff member, who helpfully walked us through the pizza options and even mentioned how pizzas could be made vegetarian or vegan. We received great service, the pizzas came out in a timely fashion, and I appreciated that Boogy and Peel built in an 18% gratuity to the order and made it very clear in multiple places that they were doing it. My friend and I ordered two pizzas per the staff member's recommendation, which is the way to go for two or more people: the Sweet Baby Christos and the Macha 'Roni without the pepperoni. As someone who often enjoys ordering meat out, Boogy and Peel's vegetarian options are much more appealing and would recommend ordering any vegetarian pizza or getting it vegetarian. Both pizzas were delicious, with a preference for the Macha 'Roni (ordered without the pepperoni). Indeed, our staff member even recommended ordering this pizza without the pepperoni as it is too salty for the pizza. This innovative pizza's ingredients provided different and delicious elements: perfectly spicy Saul's salsa macha (a little kick, not overly spicy), slightly salty, crunchy peanuts and sesame seeds, umami with the provolone and mozzarella, a fresh herbaceous note with the basil, topped with a small, right of honey to complement the pizza. The Sweet Baby Cristos had a lot of fresh elements which I appreciated. The feta complemented the eggplant and herbs nicely, although the pizza could have used more cheese (maybe some mozzarella or ricotta). Given Boogy and Peel's location right by the DuPont metro entrance, it's also a great place to start an evening of going-out. read more

I came to Boogy and Peel for their all-day Wednesday happy hour, and I was blown away! I got a glass of wine, and my friend and I ordered the Caesar and Sweet Baby Christos pizzas to share. Both were absolutely incredible. I wasn't sure what I would think of it, but the Caesar pizza was so unique and they did a great job of balancing the amount of each ingredient. The Sweet Baby Christos pizza did not disappoint either, and I particularly liked the honey on it. There are a good number of indoor tables, but by the time we left there was a wait to sit. I loved the decorations, and the bathroom wallpaper was especially cute! read more

Came to DC for 5 days and came here two days in a row.. the pizza is spectacular and so is the service.. We came in having high expectations and they did not disappoint one bit. First day we went we had the Macha-Roni and the Kschifano .. they were both amazing.. the crust on both pizzas were paper thin but had no FLOP or droopiness we were extremely impressed. The 2nd time we went it was the day before we departed DC and as soon as we walked in they recognized and showed us a ton of hospitality. Their servers and chefs all recognized and greeted us when we came in. They even showed appreciation to us for coming two days in a row by giving us one of their chefs new dessert creations it was one of their delicious soft serve sundae's which was honestly "dangerously addicting".. Will recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting DC and will definitely be back when I return read more

Amazing food . A cook puts a lot of thinking into it and tries combinations of flavours and it works perfectly. Christos pizza with herbs is really worth it. Special items are also worth it . The first wine was corked and they replaced it right away with a new one. People are friendly even if they don't like ordering by phone there is someone you help out. I got some take-out here and was very surprised!! The wings were not bad.. 6 pieces in sweet chili sauce reminded me of Thai flavors. Each pizza has 6 slices so definitely shareable. I was mind blown by the Harambe Loved Big Macs because it literally just taste like a Big Mac on crust. I also really enjoyed the Caesar and Macha 'Roni. The pizzas are definitely overpriced... at least for the special ones that you cant' find anywhere else. I would only come back for a treat or just to introduce to other people. read more

While waiting for my order I noticed many people weren't eating their crust. I know fairly common for people who don't like to eat crust, but it seemed unusual many people weren't eating theirs. Ordered a plain cheese to try for my first time here. The owner was there working hard (much respect). She brought some water while I waited for my to go order. To me it looked like a hybrid pizza of sorts. First couple bites were really good. Super thin, zesty sauce with nice cheese ratio. As I got closer to the crust it was very doughy and undercooked. I always eat my crust but knew why many wrent eating theirs. It was unpleasant eating undercooked doughy crust. This type of dough reminds me more towards neopolitan which just isn't my style of pizza I like. If you're in the area def give this place a try. Respect to the owner as I felt your passion for you craft for the short time I was there. read more

Mixed reviews of this one on our first visit. We had planned to eat there but the music was too loud and the dining area much too bright. The pizza crust was excellent and I like the the @kschifanorealtor topping on our pizza (my wife did not). Chicken wings were tasty and the sauce was good. The 12% service charge for takeout was off-putting (I'd rather see such extras included in the price) read more

Started coming here for the chocolate soft serve -- just about the only place around you can get it -- and now they don't have it anymore and say they don't know when it will back. Disappointing. And the guy at the front was completely unhelpful. read more

I attended this establishment & the aesthetics was nice, the staff was as well. It's cool spot but being as tho I'm pescatarian my options were very limited. I ordered the kale Cesar salad "pizza" & it was not what I was expecting, more so salad on top of bread smh maybe I was confused by it on the menu but it was not to my liking. Then I ordered the 50/50 cheese pizza: cardboard with garlic. I am a pizza lover & this experience was a no for me. Also they do not allow to much of any substitutes to their menu. I had been seeing this place on IG for awhile and decided to try it. What a waste of $50 and 25min drive. The pizza was super burnt and the wings were just okay. I still don't understand how the pizza, wings, and two drinks came to $50 either. I won't be returning. read more

Didn't like the ordering process where you had to order from a stand at the start, I really don't know why we had to order pizza from there. You could order beer/cocktails from a qr code at the table, but not food? It was a little annoying read more

My husband and I LOVE boogy and peel. The vibes are top notch and the food is top quality. We love the Caesar pizza, harambe loved Big Macs, and stracci pie but have honestly loved everything we've tried. Also great cocktails there too. This is a wonderful little place on Dupont Circle with the best Pizza I've had in years. I got the plain cheese & tomato sauce and it was just like the pizza I'd eaten in Rome. Their other pizzas offer a variety of toppings and they don't make changes, so look carefully at what's included, such as hot spices, garlic, onion, etc., if you are averse to such things. We shared their deconstructed apple pie, which was scrumptious! The service was excellent; they really go out of their way for you; very friendly. read more

Liars and taxers. No reason a take out order should have a 12% service fee. $30 for ONE personal pizza, they have a phone number, but got an attitude when I asked why no one was answering it ( there was one customer in the restaurant. Visited during the Christmas holiday and was looking for a pizza restaurant in the DuPont Circle neighborhood for a break from fine dining - Boogy and Peel did not disappoint. We ordered the Macha Roni pizza, chicken wings and an assortment of cocktails - all were amazingly tasty and satisfying. Wish I could transport you back to Northern California when we head back home! read more
