They have a great deal on Wednesdays where pizzas are half off. It can get busy so try to get a reservation before you go. They have unique toppings that are worth a try.

Went here on a date and it was delicious! They do half-price pizzas on Wednesdays, so we got two full-size pizzas plus dessert for $30, which was a fantastic deal. Loved the kick on macharoni (pepperoni with salsa macha and hot honey) as well as the delicious garlic condition the stracci pizza, which also has excellent cheese. I'm a fan! Dessert was weaker but I mainly came there for the pizza, and I'll definitely be back for more soon! You order from an app, so it's not table service - be aware that they charge 18% auto gratuity but that the app you pay with will try to default to leaving another tip on top of it. That's the only real criticism I have: auto tip in a no-service restaurant that tries to get you to tip more. Otherwise all excellent down the line! I recommend it for sure.

I came to this casual pizza joint with a couple other friends. The host greeted us upon arrival and sat us down at a table booth. After looking at the menu through the QR code, we placed The Kelly Ruben to share online. It came out a few mins later and we were each able to get 2 slices out of the 6 cut pieces. I've never had a "Ruben" on pizza before but it was quite good. Everything paired really well and we all enjoyed the pizza. A cool spot to try something different!

It's a very interesting restaurant. The g mushroom pizza with garlic cream sauce was good. It had some lemon zest which was a little bit different. Very eclectic. The music was great. The ambience was that of a fast food pizza place with a little more pizzazz.

I was part of a party of three trying Bogey & Peel for happy hour. At a coworker's urging, we shared the Kale Caesar, the @kschifanorealtor pie, and a Detroit slice with vodka sauce. Everything was very good, but the Detroit slice was my favorite--the vodka sauce topping was outstanding. They have a great happy hour deal on drinks, making this a fun and informal spot to enjoy pizza and drinks. The patio out front is a nice environment.

    Kale Caesar Salad

I decided to take a little walk up the street to this place to get a slice and a kale salad. It didn't disappoint. I got a Detroit slice with pepperoni and the kale Caesar salad. The sauce on the slice was really good ( and I'm picky about that, not too bitter or too sweet) and the salad was fresh. The service was great. Definitely don't mind coming back!

Fun creative pizza and scrumptious sandwiches, great casual happy hour spot! The pizzas are a bit like NY style with a Neapolitan round personalized size. The Patricia Sando veggie sandwich hit the spot and bursting with garlicky and sweet flavor from the marinated balsamic veggies (squash, red peppers, eggplant, carrot), creamy stracciatella cheese with pesto mayo on fluffy sourdough focaccia bread. The bread was super soft and stracciatella cheese was divine, the everything blended well together. The sandwich was very filling and hands-down among the best sandwiches I've had! The Detroit style Sicilian pizza had a thick airy crust with marinara sauce on top (there was an option to choose marinara or spicy vodka sauce) was tasty and fun to try. The Sweet Baby Christos veggie pizza was quite flavorful with red sauce, eggplant, garlic confit, pickled cherry peppers, herbs, feta, honey. The mildly spicy cherry peppers had a bold flavor and paired well with feta cheese, while the honey helped to balance it out. The eggplant was more subtle. While the herbs were an interesting touch with texture, it was a bit of an overload. I prefer the pizza with just a few toppings. The pizzas are medium size with 6 slices. While my friend and I shared a pizza, I could have conquered the whole pizza. The Salsa Macha Pimento Cheese was fun to try with warm, crispy chips. The cheesy dip paired well with the chips. The Spicy Margarita cocktail on happy hour was tasty with a mild spicy kick! The bubbly Lambrusco paired well with the pizza. It was a bit unclear on the pizzas offered during happy hour, they weren't listed on the mobile menu. The drinks were clearly listed. Excited to come back to try the other pizzas and the Patricia Sando veggie sandwich!

WOW, WOW, WOW! Neapolitan inspired, brick oven pizza with toppings that are both genius and insanely good! Who would have thought that putting sauerkraut, pastrami and pickled mustard seeds on a pizza would work?? Well I am forever grateful that the owner did because the Kelly Ruben is ridiculously good! And the dough..the 48 hour fermentation process paid off! I especially appreciated that the toppings stayed on the pizza when lifted off the tray. The Macha Roni was perfect and it was easy to see why this is a menu favorite. And because apparently serving up perfect pizza isn't enough, this overachieving restaurant also serves up amazing wings. The sauce on the Lil Bear wings was AMAZING and I would buy a bottle of it if available..maybe they will create a Thai inspired pizza with this sauce (insert wishful thinking!) Service was friendly and attentive with plenty of seating indoor and outdoor that could easily accommodate large parties.

Ima pizza snob and always said DC is the worst in DMV area. But Boogy and Peel, wow! Best pizza in the area. I first got the cheese pizza and it was amazing. Also got the pepperoni with peppers, oh man just so much flavor. Love it. Cheese, sauce and dough is a perfect balance with all having their own good flavor. Price is definitely fair! And the staff are super cool, explaining to me their restaurant and ingredients and techniques. Nice amount of space as well and is very clean.

Burned crust!! :( Cheesy Boi, add ricotta for $2
    Kelly M.

Minus one star due to burned crust. You can see in the photos online that they mostly burn the crusts on all the pizzas. It tastes bad and I don't get it. Despite the burned crust, the middle of the pizza DOES taste awesome. $7 for a cheese pizza for happy hour, WHAT?! And good happy hour drink selection too. The place is tiny. Don't come with a large group. There's as much seating on the patio as indoors.

    Chicken Caesar SANDO
    Janet L.

I got the chicken caesar sando more recently and the bread was the perfect amount of toasted, not too scorched for my taste anymore. 10/10 no notes. See my original review for details on why this is one of my favorite sandwiches.

Staff is friendly and service was quick. Prices are on par with the area and there is an ambiance of support reflective of the DuPont Circle area. I would venture that most of the clientele were probably locals representative of the warm community here. The pizza here was solid- the tasty pepperoni with bitter matcha (that I couldn't taste but my friends could) , slight honey, and basil was a very nice touch. While I felt there wasn't anything knocking my socks off, I enjoyed my experience here and would totally come back. The matcha cookie was the highlight for me. The matcha and white chocolate flavorings were well balanced and reasonably moist. The local bakery they source from is a smart choice and they should continue to use them. If Boogy is not on TooGoodToGo, this may be worth considering as well. The local soda they use, I love the flavoring- especially with the use of real fruit, but I do not like their dependency on (high?) fructose (corn ?) syrup. I won't call myself a soda expert either but in this moment, I felt I needed to make an effort to investigate the bottle more. You know, to prepare to look for secret passages in the nearby O museum, haha. Also, my friends before more relatively simple combinations and I prefer more complex. If I am with good friends, it seems this was well balanced and I am naturally going to eat the same pizza with them. If I had been in more of a position to get something on my own, maybe my experience would be significantly different.

    Cheesy boi meatlover Pizza

With a background in cybersecurity and first thing telling me is that i have to scan a QR code I actually didn't like it that much. I think they should have employees who can give you a nice costumer service. If you want the meat lover apparently you have to know that you have to add the one called "cheesy boi" and then add "meat lover" ($23). The ambience has good music not too loud which I liked. Coca cola ($5) Grape soda ($5) Regular "cheesy boi" without anything included or extra ($12) The crust was really good But the meat of my meatlover had pieces of cartilage But everything else was great and tasty.

Also had the octopus pepper gilda thing. Our server, think his name was Hunter, said that was the most popular main. It was very delicious, rich but not overly so. The martini was nice and came with a side car. Great presentation. When my friend saw the martini she said this makes me feel like i know how to live. I was very excited about the French-Canadian, always-changing menu. Physical Exam: Taste - The Prime Rib Sando was a preemo sandwich of balanced cheese and meat between two slices of toasty sourdough. The Cheeseburger Americain was a standard 3.5 out of 5 American cheeseburger that beats the average suburban chain restaurant burger with its double patty and sesame bun, but isn't gonna knock your socks off like a steakhouse burger. The poutine kept my socks on too (I was particularly excited about the poutine and ended up a tad underwhelmed). The biggest disappointment was the mozzarella sticks, which...... I'll just get to in the service part. Cocktails were mid. All interesting concepts, but most missed the mark. the Polar Express was a little too sweet, I forgot what the name of the riff on an old fashioned or Manhattan I had but that was okay, and the Fleur de Citron tasted like when you ask for a Sprite and they ask, "Is Sierra Mist (now Starry) okay?" and you reply, "yeah that's fine," but then what you get is actually a flat 7-Up. Ambiance - This place runs on vibes like America runs on Dunkin'. Live DJ, neon lights, feels like a place you wanna eat a little, dance a little, drink a little. Fun place. Tanked by the service. Skip to the Assessment/Plan if you don't want to read this novella retelling of our evening. Service - Relatively early for the dinner service, we were the largest and one of only a few tables in the restaurant. I counted 3 other tables seated (small parties of less than 4 each) and a few patrons at the bar. It took about 20 minutes before we first got our menus and the guy who handed them to us didn't say a word just dropped them off. Then it took another 20 minutes before he came back to get our drink orders, and 1) seemed like he was having a bad day, which... fine, but 2) was rolling his eyes when some of us were a little between some options and wanted a recommendation, which... alright my guy let's chill. We weren't talking loud, we weren't drinking before and being obnoxious, we just wanted to ask about what some of the drinks were like on a very cool menu of cocktails we haven't tried anywhere else. Upon returning with our drinks, he accidentally spilled a not insignificant amount on my friend sitting across from me, and while we reacted and started handing him extra napkins, he just glanced at him, finished giving out the drinks, and walked away. No "oops", "my bad", "oh let me get you some paper towels", nothing. So at this point, we're all staring at each other like "Did we do something? Do we smell?" Whatever, friend's birthday, we've been talking about this cabin weekend for several years and it's finally happening, let's just vibe. Now another 20 minutes went by and we were getting antsy because we wanted to order our food but it looked like there wasn't a lot of staff, and we didn't want to upset anyone by hurrying them. Another man came over who we thought was going to take our orders. Nope. He starts picking up our menus so I say, "Oh, hey we haven't ordered yet." To which he replies, "OK, but I need the menus." Alright cool, yeah, that makes sense if he needed them for other tables and can leave us with a few to share. Nope. He just took them and placed them back at the host stand. Awkward stares across the table again. Whatever, we had enough, I guess. Tick tock, tick tock. A third guy came over, and when he smiled and asked, "Hi are you all ready to order?" I was like "Oh finally a human being!" Food took another 20-ish minutes while we nursed our drinks and really had no interest in ordering another round (not that anyone asked us). We ate. We chatted. We had an okay time. We were super ready to get out of there. Oh right, the mozz sticks. Le Mont'zarella sticks. They had one order left of four sticks for $18. We were one of the first diners. You can imagine after all the above, that's just a major facepalm emoji. Assessment/Plan: Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God pray for Le Mont Royal to improve their service, now and at the hour of ASAP, because the place has so much potential, and maybe it was just an off night, or the staff just finished arguing with each other in the back so they took it out on us, but dearly beloved Lord it was like we offended nine generations of their ancestry from the moment we walked in. With "a 22% service charge has been added for your convenience," I thought we were getting Punk'd. The always-changing French-Canadian menu is a cool and unique concept, but it's a lot of bark with very little bite. It didn't make the disappointing service worth it. Amelie is a French bistro, near the Logan Circle 'hood…read more They offer brunch, lunch, dinner, HH, and even large group prix-fixe menus, which I thought was pretty convenient! We came here with a few friends for an early dinner, making reservations in advance. Once seated, we decided to order some starters to share: +the Warm Pistachio Crusted Goat Cheese Ball - with honey and red wine caramelized onions +Chicken Liver Mousse - with white wine gelee, apricot, pickled veggies, and an onion marmalade +Baked Camembert de Normandie - with confit garlic, thyme, and honey +and, an Onion Soup for the hubs - prepared with beef broth, croutons, and Gruyere For our entrees, I went for the Steak-Frites, which came with a hanger steak and shallot sauce; you can sub the usual fries with truffle fries, which I recommend! My counterparts enjoyed their Long Island Duck Breakfast (with seared asparagus, cumin carrot puree, cippolini onions, and port sauce), the Maryland Rockfish (with artichoke barigoule, carrots, brasied fennel, and noilly prat sauce), and the Local Roasted Chicken (with English peas, carrots, baby potatoes, and truffle jus). If you want to sop up your sauce with bread, don't forget to order the breadbasket! Staff were friendly and checked-in on our party throughout our dining experience; the place is cozy and vibrant, and seems to be pretty popular. I'd be curious to try their HH on the next visit! +French bistro eats +shareables +friendly staff & service
