Glenn Rogers who is the owner of the store is truly passionate about his craft. From the moment I walked into the store he was welcoming and absolutely hilarious. It is actually him and his Wife who own the store. Glenn was a circus performer, he truly has lived a colorful life and his store represents his colorful personality. The name of the store could not be more perfect Boom Art, because it truly is a booming experience. I was truly impressed with the variety of Art Work, one of a kind pieces that truly captured creativity at it's best. I ended up purchasing an ecclectic Jewelry Box that had the Marvel Characters embedded on the box, which included Superman, Spiderman, and the Hulk to name a few. There was also a cool variety of vintage purses that I fell in love with, of course I had to snag one. It is refreshing to come across true artistry and the passion splattered all over the walls was a pure delight to visually take in. I will not forget this place. Glen is a piece of art himself but the art he produces is so unique. He is truly gifted. I could of grabbed a drink and sat on one of his beautifully painted bar stools and listened to his life stories all day. This is a place to bookmark if you love art and stories about famous people. Very cute place with very interested, eye catching pieces of art and collectibles. The owners handcraft the items and they are super polite. I wasn't really planning to come here so I just took a quick look around the store. However, many things call my attention so I definitely want to come back and buy a few items. Such a cute, unique and charming store living on Antique Row in Ivanhoe Village. Talk to the owner while you are there, he has so many fun stories! So much history in this place. You will find something you want, even if you are shopping for others. This is a great spot to grab gifts that you know no one else has. Original for sure. This was our second visit, and we had to return twice just to get here, because I didn't know he wasn't open on Mondays. Worth the return visit, though. I bought a gorgeous mirror decorated with coffee beans and broken crockery, and a whole handful of what brought me back....his cute bracelets made of old belts. Check out this little gem, walk around the entire shop. I defy you to leave without buying at least one thing! And enjoy the patter....it's part of the experience. read more

I love coming here and wondering around looking at all the unique items. The owner, Glen Rogers and his wife are a former clowns and Glen will tell you endless stories about his life and the items in the store. It's pretty refreshing if you like a more personable experience when you shop...if you're on Antique Row, you're hopefully open to some conversation because you're gonna get a lot of it. Don't be scared about the prices as they range from a few dollars to the hundreds for furniture, so it's really reasonable for the type of art you'll find here. I've been in here a few times, not recently though. The owner dude is real eccentric and interesting. He takes all these old nostalgic 50's advertising art and things like that and pastes and shellacs them on furniture and various household items. He also does the same with lightswitch covers. I was surprised when I found the place and asked him why he didn't advertise in the weekly and why I'd never heard of his store. He told me how the weekly wanted him to pay all kinds of money to do an article on him. I don't know weird stuff. Really interesting Awesome art! read more

The table's top is shalaced with beetles pictures and flyers including an original ticket stub from one of The Beetle's concerts. You get art/memrobelia and history all wraped into one.
